Kamira saw fire. Fire blazing in hues of orange and yellow. All of the fire swirled into one shape, that of a bird. It flew up, higher and higher, until it touched the sun. Then, everything went white.
"Kamira-chan?"
Kamira snapped out of her little trance to see Heza waving her hand in front of her face. "Oh my.. I must have dozed off... gomen nasai..."
"Weird, ever since the Yuki Festival you've just been zoning out from time to time..." Heza said, a skeptical look on her face. "Is something wrong?"
"Iie, I'm perfectly fine," Kamira said, grinning at her friend.
"You sure? You're not sick or anything? 'Cause it wouldn't be good for any of us to be sick while looking for these Digi Cards or whatnot..."
"Honestly, I'm okay..."
"All right then..." Heza walked off.
Kamira sighed and rested her chin in the palm of her hand. *This is so very strange... what is that fire I saw? It was like a phoenix... Maybe it has something to do with the Digi Cards!* she thought. She looked down at her crest. *I wonder what this does...?*

"I sense it... the Sun-Digi Card is nearby... Chiikomon!"
"Hai, Master?" Chiikomon squeaked, fluttering in the air beofre the star-spotted void.
"Summon Blazemon..."
As if on cue, a large hedgehog-like Digimon sped up to them. It was bright red, with spiked flames for quills. "Hai, what can I do for you, Lord Armageddomon?" Blazemon asked.
"Go to the DigiDestined's campsite... do not let them capture the Sun-Digi Card..." Armageddomon said, his blood-red eyes gleaming from within the depths of the dark space.
Blazemon nodded and zoomed out of the dark castle.

"Psst. Sakura-chan!"
Sakura looked at the small orange lion beside her. "Hai, Kero-chan?"
"Is it just me, or do you sense a Clow Card?" Kero asked.
Sakura closed her eyes and concentrated for a few moments. She opened her eyes in shock, as if something had hit her. "I do sense a card! Maybe it's a Digi Card..."
"Well duh, why would normal Clow Cards be in this world?" Kero said, crossing his short arms.
Suddenly, the sky turned dark gray.
Syaoran and Kagemon ran over to them. "It's a Digi Card!"
Sakura stood up in surprise. "Nani?!"
Syaoran pointed to the nearby forest, which had caught fire. "Kagemon and I were in the forest looking for food, and a tree fell over because of the fire!"
"Hai, I think it may have been a Digimon that started it!" Kagemon said, his emerald eyes flashing.
"Let's go take care of it!" Sakura said. She, Syaoran, Kagemon, and Kero-chan ran over to join the group, who were prepared for battle.
"Marching Fishes!!" Gomamon shouted over and over again, attempting to put out the fire. "It's no use! There's too many flames!" he yelled, exhausted.
"What can we do?!" Sora shouted.
"I'll try and blow it out! Biyomon, digivolve to... Birdramon!"
Birdramon flew high over the tops of the trees, then flapped her wings hard. The flames grew larger, and a couple flared up and burnt them. Birdramon dropped to the ground and de-digivolved.
"Oh no! It only made the flames worse!" Sora shouted, picking up the unconscious Biyomon.
At that point, the fire seemed to die down, and a large ball of fire rolled out of the forest.
"Nani, what's that?" Pseudomon, who was nearby, shouted in her accented voice.
The ball of fire uncurled and stood before the group. It was about ssix feet tall, and resembled a red hedgehog with spiked orange-and-yellow fire for his quills.
Koushirou popped open his laptop. "Strange, I've never seen this Digimon before... that's Blazemon, a fire mammal-type Digimon. He's an Ultimate stage Digimon, with a powerful Flame Wheel attack.
Blazemon snickered. "I have been sent by Lord Armadeggomon to personally make sure you don't encounter the Sun-Digi Card. I will destroy you now. Flame Wheel!!" he shouted, curling up into a ball. He rolled along the ground at a blinding speed, scorching the grass and knocking every Digimon to the ground. He circled the group many times, until a ring of fire trapped them.
"Oii, this is bad!" Taichi shouted, clenching his fist. "Let'[s get 'em!"
"Pepper Breath!"
"Blue Blaster!"
"Spiral Twister!"
"Super Shocker!"
"Poison Ivy!"
"Marching Fishes!"
"Boom Bubble! PAH!"
"Lightning Paw!"
"Cherry Blossom Blitz!"
"Delta Cannon!"
Blazemon sneered and easily dodged the attacks. "Is that the best you can do? Flame Wheel!" Once again, all of the Digimon were scorched by the flames.
"Agumon!" Taichi ran over to his fallen friend. "Say something! Can you fight?"
Agumon groaned, then stood up. "I'm alright, Taichi..."
"Try to Digivolve!"
"I'll give it my best shot! Agumon! Digivolve to... Greymon!"
Greymon and Blazemon, glared at each other for a few moments, roughly at the same height. Greymon growled. "Nova Blast!" He hurtled the large ball of fire from his mouth.
Blazemon countered with a Flame Wheel attack, knocking Greymon to the ground.
"Greymon! Try to Digivolve again!"
"Greymon! Digivolve to.... err, Greymon?"
"It's not working!" Taichi shouted in shock.
Blazemon wheeled around Greymon, until a smaller ring of fire surrounded him. He growled in pain as the heat began to overcome him. He dropped to one knee, but didn't de-digivolve.
"Greymon!!" Taichi shouted, running toward him. Mustering up all of his courage, he ran through the flames to his injured friend.
Suddenly, a bright orange light pierced the sky. The NeoCrest of Courage began glowing brightly, a light about twice as strong as the regular crest had.
"Taichi, run! The fire's too hot!" Greymon yelled.
"No! I'm not going to leave you here, to burn up!!" Taichi shouted, his NeoCrest still glowing.
The sun, shining brightly above, gave off a hot white light. The ring of fire circling Taichi and Greymon rose up into the air, so high it seemed to circle around the sun. All of the flames pulled together and formed a bird shape, similar to Birdramon.
"What is that....?" Sora asked, looking up at it.
"No! It's the Sun-Digi Card!"
Sakura and Syaoran looked at each other. Sakura took out her Key. (PikaChan's Note: I don't really know the incantation for the wand that well... x.x Bear with me) "Power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force, ignite!!" The small key tuned into the bright pink wand.
"The Sun-Digicard can be countered with Watery!" Syaoran shouted.
Sakura took out the elemental card, Watery. "Watery! Release and Dispel!!"
The bright blue spiritlike mass flew up into the sky towards the orange bird. It sent out a wall of flames. Watery dodged it easily, and collided with Sun. It fell to the ground, easily defeated.
"Now what do I do?" Sakura asked Kero-chan, who was fluttering beside her. "Do I turn it into a Sakura Card?"
"Uhm... just make something up!" Kero-chan said.
Sakura held out her wand. "Sun-Digi Card, return to the mass from whence you came! SUN!"
Sun glowed brightly for a moment, then took the form of a single card. It flew around with the breeze for a moment, then finally stopped in front of Taichi, his NeoCrest still glowing.
"No! It can't be!!" Blazemon shouted, his eyes opening wide.
Taichi took the floating card into his hands. Suddenly, the voice of Gennai echoed in his mind.
*Greymon must use the Sun-Digi Card to digivolve into his next form! Shout Digical Card Digivolve!*
Taichi turned to look at Blazemon, and smirked. "Digital Card Digivolve!"
Greymon glowed with a bright orange light, as bright as Taichi's NeoCrest. A beam in the shape of the Crest of Courage shot through the Sun-Digi Card, and into Greymon.
"Greymon, Card Digivolve to...."
Greymon's helmet turned to a glossy gold, and changed shape slightly to resemble the mask of Tutenkhamen. A gleaming breastplate appeared on Greymon's chest; a sun with a golden blade protruding from the corners. Dragonlike wings sprouted from his back, and a golden plate encrusted with gemstones covered the top of them. Finally, his teeth grew into long fangs. A ring of fire circled him, thr transformation complete.
"... PharaohGreymon!!"
"PharaohGreymon...?" Taichi whispered, looking up at the Ultimate-level Digimon.
Kourhirou peered at his laptop again. "Wow. PharaohGreymon is the Card-Ultimate form of Greymon. His Solar Flare attack can even melt diamond!"
"Can even melt diamond...?" Taichi muttered, amazed. He grinned. "All right, PharaohGreymon, let's GO!!"
"Solar Flare!!" PharaohGreymon released a giant orange flame from his mouth. It spiraled toward the surprised Blazemon, who had a look of sheer terror on his face.
"Noooooo!!" Blazemon dropped to the ground, extremely weak. "Lord Armageddomon... I have failed you...." He dissolved.
PharaohGreymon de-digivolved to Koromon. Taichi ran over and hugged his friend. "That was awesome!!"
"Heh. I'm tired," Koromon said. "Do we have any food?"
Syaoran sweatdropped. "Ahh, the forest caught on fire before we could find any..." he said. "Gomen nasai..."
"Just great..." Koromon groaned.
Just then, a bright orb appeared, and Gennai stepped out of it. "Great, you managed to capture the Sun-Digi Card. Well done."
"Eh, it was easy," Taichi said with an air of arrogance.
"I warn you, not all of the Digi Cards will be this easy to capture. There are eleven others you must find..." Gennai said.
"Eleven? Greaaaaaaat...." Koushirou grumbled. He clicked away at his laptop, mumbling illegible remarks.
"There is also Snow, Sky, Spark, Forest, Ocean, Spirit, Angel, Star, Dream, Psychic and Gem. Perhaps the hardest to capture will be the second half, as they have almost no weaknesses," Gennai explained.
"But where can we find all of them?" Sora asked.
"Depends. They'll just spontaneously appear sometimes. It's hard to tell when the next one will show up..."
Everybody groaned.

"Eep... Blazemon really blew it..." Chiikomon winced, looking into the screen in front of him.
"CHIIKOMON!!!" Armageddomon bellowed.
Chiikomon covered his ears to the best of his ability. "Hai, Master?"
"The DigiDestined now have the Sun-Digi Card. Blazemon failed!"
"Gomen, I'll try to do better next time..." Chiikomon apologized, sweatdropping.
Kiyonimon, who was in a nearby cage, eavesdropped on the conversation, pretending to be asleep. *Alright! Go team! If they get the next Digi Card, Armageddomon'll really blow up! Hahahaha...* she thought, smirking. It was then that she noticed an egg sitting nearby. It was the same egg that had been stolen when she was captured. *Nani... That's the Digiegg of Dreams...* Kiyonimon stood up and looked at the egg though the bars of her cage. *If I can just manage to break these bars... I can escape with the egg and find Heza-chan before Armageddomon does something horible!* She looked around to se if Chiikomon was watching, then tugged on the bars. They bent slightly. *Stupid bird... putting me in a cage made from aluminum, how thoughtless.* She then listened to the conversation once more.
"Alright then, send out Arachmon. The little pipsqueak says the Ninth child is terrified of spiders..." Armageddomon said, casting a glance at Kiyonimon.
*What the hell?! How did he know that?! Unless... shimatte, he can read minds!!* Kiyonimon thought without realizing it.
The gigantic spider Digimon that had been an aide in Kiyonimon's abduction appeared before Armageddomon and Chiikomon. "I am here to ssssssssssserve you, Massssssssster Armageddomon..." Arachmon hissed.
"Go prevent the humans from getting the Snow-Digi Card..."
"I will sssssssssucceed, Massssssssster..." Arachmon said, then skittered out of the castle on his bladelike legs.
"Chiikomon, bring up the Digital Map," Armageddomon requested.
A map hologram appeared before them. It mapped out the entire Digital World.
"There are four main sections of this reformatted DigiWorld... the Emerald Forest, the Electro Zone, the Blue Arctic, and the Rolling Plains... In the center of it all is Spiral Mountain, which is where my fortress is perched on top of." Armagrddomon paused for a moment. "I will divide the DigiDestined into three groups, and put one in a section... before I do that, I will place barriers seperating each section. They will be unable to pass through the barriers. This plan is foolproof!"
"Are ya really sure it'll work?" Chiikomon asked, skeptical.
"Of course! None of my plans have failed yet. Well, yours maybe, but I am not a failer..." Armageddomon let out a maniacal laugh. The faint silver outline of a dragon's face appeared in the void, crimson eyes glowing. The void inverted colours, and four silver trails shot in four different directions throughout the length of the Digital World. "Now... to seperate the DigiDestined!!!" He let out an ear-shattering screech, causing the entire land to shake and rumble.

"Aah, what's that noise?!" Heza shouted, covering her ears.
"I dunno, but it's causing an earthquake!" Jyou observed as the ground began shaking rapidly.
"That sound! It's making my ears bleed!" Takeru shouted, trying to block out the high-pitched shriek that rang in his ears.
The ground began glowing white,then the whole area around the group turned the same colour. Everybody flew in a different direction, as if the ground had exploded. They had been split up and strewn about the Digital World.

(PikaChan's Note: Yes, Tomoyo and Kero-chan are staying in the Rolling Plains. After all, that's where they arrived, ne? So if they don't seem to appear much throughout the rest of the story, that's why. Just thought I'd let you know.)
"Li-san! Wake up!"
Syaoran groaned and put a hand to his neck. He opened his eyes to see Taichi, Kagemon, and Agumon standing over him. "Nnn... what happened? I feel like I got run over by a truck.."
"Ya kinda look like it too," Taichi snickered.
Syaoran glared at him. He then put a finger to his lip, which was bleeding slightly. His clothes were also ripped in a few places. He stood up. Only then did he feel a slight chill. "What in the hell?! It's freezing out here!" Syaoran shouted, rubbing his arms through the sleeves of his shirt.
"Yeah, look at all of this snow..." Taichi said, looking around at the white desert before them.
"Aren't you cold?" Syaoran asked.
"Not really. I guess it's the fire from my courage or something..."
"I don't know about you, Agumon, but I'm freezing..." Kagemon said, arching his back, trying to adjust to the cold.
"Not me. It's been too hot lately," Agumon said, grinning.
"Well, I guess we should try to find the others..." Taichi said, cracking his knuckles.
"Good idea... I hope Sakura-chan's okay..." Syaoran said, his amber eyes showing a bit of concern.
"Hey, it's not healthy to be so depressed, Syaoran-kun..." Kagemon said, looking up at his partner.
"I know... hey! Wait for us, baka!" Syaoran said, noticing that Taichi and Agumon had gone ahead of them, and tried to catch up. Kagemon flew by his side.

"Ah... ah... ah... CHOO!" Heza sneezed. "WHY did it hafta be snow?! I hate snow!!" She rubbed her arms. "And these gloves aren't much help," she said, looking down at her black fingerless gloves.
"And here I thought you'd be used to cold weather after spending three winters in Odaiba," Yamato said from behind her.
"Well, I'm not. Maybe I should have worn warmer clothes..." She rubbed her hands together.
There was a short pause, then Heza sat down in the snow. She sighed. "I just hope Lunamon's okay, wherever she is... (PikaChan's Note: I find it easier to type 'Lunamon' than 'Ruunamon.' Heh, I think Ruunamon would like, the romaji or something O.o I'm not THAT good with Japanese...)"
Yamato sneezed. "Methinks the cold's getting to me too... Maybe we should look for the others so we don't freeze out here..." he said, standing up, Gabumon at his side.
Heza looked at him. "Why do I feel like we're being watched...?" she asked.
Yamato looked around. "I don't see anything..." He looked up at the tree above them, and his eyes went wide. "Look out!!" he shouted, tackling Heza to the ground.
Right where Heza had been standing landed a giant spider with bladelike legs.
"Aah! What the hell?!" Heza shouted.
"That was close..." Yamato said, looking at the spider.
It turned around to look at them. "Sssssssilk Shocker!!" it shouted, shooting out a long thread of white silk. Yamato and Heza quickly rolled out of the way.
"Crap! It's Arachmon! I've heard of these things from Lunamon, they're supposed to be the Ultimate form of Kuwagamon..." Heza said, a bit frightened. She shuddered a bit, not taking her eyes off of the large spider.
Yamato stood up. "All right, let's go Gabumon!" he shouted.
"Right! Gabumon! Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"What?! We can't fight alone!" Heza shouted.
Yamato climbed on Garurumon's back, then held out his hand. "Come on, we've got to try to get away!"
Heza grabbed his hand and quickly hopped onto Garurumon's back behind him. "Let's get out of here!"
"Not ssssssssso fasssssssssssst! Sssssssilk Shocker!!" Arachmon shouted, sending a coat of sticky silk at Garurumon. His legs became tangled in it, and he fall over. Yamato and Heza landed in the snow.
"Garurumon!" Yamato shouted.
Arachmon stood over Garurumon, holding one bladed arm to his throat. "I will dessssssssstroy you now..."
"Leave him alone!!" Yamato yelled, standing up and running at Arachmon.
"Yamato, wait!!" Heza shouted. "I think I see someone!"
Yamato turned around and saw Taichi, Syaoran, and their Digimon in the distance. "All right! Heza-chan, you go and get them. I'll keep Arachmon busy!"
"Yamato, I can't leave you alone to fight!" Heza shouted.
Just then, Arachmon looked at Heza. "Ah yesssssssss... If I remember correctly, you, the Ninth child, have arachnophobia..."
Heza gasped, then backed away. "H-how did you know that...?" She hit something behind her and saw a tree. She was cornered.
"Psssssssssh. I can ssssssssensssssssse it in you... prepare to die!" Arachmon then lunged at her, claws ready to slice.
Heza screamed loudly as Arachmon thrust a bladed leg at her. She shut her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her face.
Garurumon, who had broken free of the silk, pounced on Arachmon, Yamato on his back. "Leave her alone!!" Yamato shouted angrily. He jumped off of Garurumon's back.
Garurumon's teeth closed around the arm that was ready to attack Heza. He and Arachmon began fighting.
"Howling Blaster!!"
"Silk Shocker!!"
Yamato ran over to Heza, who was still crying, and wrapped his arms around her. "Are you alright?!"
Heza nodded and wiped her eyes. "Arigatou..."
Yamato smiled and hugged her. He then turned around and glared at Arachmon, who was getting a beating from Garurumon. "You really crossed the line that time, Arachmon!" he shouted. Just then, the NeoCrest of Friendship gave off an immense blue light. "Whoa..."
"Hey, what's that light up ahead?" Agumon asked.
"Sure is bright," Kagemon commented.
Syaoran stopped in his tracks. "It's a Digi Card! I sense it!" he shouted, drawing his sword.
Taichi blinked at Syaoran. "Wow.. awesome sword there." He looked ahead and squinted to see Garurumon fighting a huge spiderlike Digimon, and Yamato with his NeoCrest giving off the bright blue light. Heza was standing behind him.
"It's Yamato and Heza! Let's go, Agumon!"
"All right! Agumon! Digivolve to... Greymon!"
Taichi and Syaoran climbed on Greymon's shoulders while Kagemon flew beside them. "Tallyho!"
Yamato's NeoCrest continued to glow with the same bright blue light as he continued to shout at Arachmon. "Nobody tries anything on my friends and gets away with it!"
Just then, a frozen pond near them began to glow brightly. Yamato and Heza turned to look at it. The ice melted, and pulled together to form a strange seal-like shape. It was thin, and the same bright blue as Yamato's NeoCrest. It quickly flew through the air, turning everything behind it to ice, and a trail of shining snow behind it.
"Wow... is that the Snow-Digi Card?" Heza asked. Out of amazement, she calmly approached it, her eyes fixed on the bright blue mass.
"Heza-chan, wait!" Yamato shouted. But it was too late. As soon as the Snow-Digi Card came into contact with Heza, she became encased in ice. "HEZA!!"
"Yamato!"
Yamato turned around to see Greymon, with Taichi and Syaoran on his back.
"Oi! Am I glad to see you guys!!" Yamato shouted.
"We got here as fast as we could," Taichi said, hopping off of Greymon's shoulders. Syaoran did the same.
"It's the Snow-Digi Card! I was right!" Syaoran said. "It can be countered by fire attacks!"
"All right, let's go Greymon!" Taichi shouted, taking out the Sun-Digi Card.
"Greymon! Card-Digivolve to... PharaohGreymon!!"
Garurumon finally let go of Arachmon as Snow was flying around, still freezing everything.
"Solar Flare!!" PharaohGreymon shouted, once again releasing the spiral of fire. It hit Snow with grea impact and sent it to the ground. This time though, instead of being sealed, it materialized into the Snow-Digi Card. It caught on the light breeze and landed in Yamato's hands.
Yamato glanced at Heza, who was still encased in ice, then held the Card in the air. "Digital Card Digivolve!!" The symbol of Friendship beamed through the card and into Garurumon.
"Garurumon! Card-Digivolve to...."
Aside from getting larger, Garurumon's fur turned white, and his stripes turned ice-blue. A short silver horn sprouted from his forehead; and huge white wings from his back. His claws grew longer, as did his fangs. Snow circled him briefly, the transformation complete.
".... ArcticGarurumon!!"
Yamato stared at ArcticGarurumon in awe, a bright blue aura around the winged wolf. "Sugoi..."
"Hmm... ArcticGarurumon is the Card-Ultimate form of Garurumon. His Northern Lights and Icicle Cyclone attacks are very powerful and can't even me melted by fire!" Kagemon observed.
ArcticGarurumon took to the sky on his majestic white wings. He began to glow with many colors. "Northern Lights!!" A blast of blue-and-purple energy flew from his mouth and hit Arachmon with overpowering force.
"Go get 'em, ArcticGarurumon!" Yamato shouted, clenching his fist.
ArcticGarurumon swooped down low, and his horn began glowing brightly. "Icicle Cyclone!!" A myriad (PC's Note: O.o First time I've used that word in a fic ^.^;) of icicles pelted Arachmon, creating deep wounds. They then malted, leaving behind no trace of the attack.
Arachmon collapsed. "Massssssssster Armageddomon will not go down that easssssssssily..." Arachmon dissolved.
ArcticGarurumon grinned, then de-digivolved down to Tsunomon. PharaohGreymon de-digivolved as well.
Yamato pickd up Tsunomon and grinned. "Ya did good, buddy..."
"Arigatou, Yamato-kun," Tsunomon said, a bit out of breath.
The ice surrounding Heza disappeared, and she fell to her knees. "Ack..."
Yamato set Tsunomon down. He walked to Heza and helped her up, then hugged her tightly. "Are you okay?"
"I think so... I don't really remember what happened... There was this blue sealthingy, and... IT'S TOO DAMN COLD OUT HERE!!" she shouted.
Taichi and Syaoran looked at each other and burst out laughing.
Kagemon, Tsunomon, and Agumon looked at each other and shrugged.
Yamato glared at the two other boys. "All right, what's so funny?"
"Oh, nothing... just that you and Heza-chan are *SOOOOOOO* kawaii together, that's all..." Taichi said, laughing.
Heza glared at him. She bent down and grabbed a handful of snow, then pelted him in the face. "Taichi no baka!"

"CHIIKOMON!!!"
"Not again..." Chiikomon groaned after hearing Armageddomon's shout. He fluttered up to the balck void and sighed. "Hai?"
"Arachmon failed too!! You incompetent fool, can't you pick better Digimon to take care of the job?! Now the DigiDestined have 2 of the Digi Cards!!" Armageddomon bellowed.
"Gomen nasai, Master... I'll do better next time..."
"You said that last time! But did you do any better? NO!"
Kiyonimon listened to Armageddomon's shouts, and Chiikomon's feeble whining. She then noticed that Chiikomon had left the main door open. *Yat-taa! Now I can escape!* The crescent moon on Kiyonimon's forehead began glowing faintly. "Sun Beam," she whispered. The aluminum cage gave out, and Kiyonimon managed to squeeze out of the cage without making a sound. She grabbed the Digiegg of Dreams to the best of her ability and hurried out of the fortress without being seen.
Kiyonimon looked down at the region below her. "Shimatte, I'm never gonna get down there..." She suddenly felt as if she were aging, and felt herself change forms.
Lunamon stood on the cliff, her blue eys scanning the area, which looked to be laden with wires and steel plates. "The Electro Zone... Perhaps I'll find Heza-chan here.... I just hope that she's okay...."
Kamira saw fire. Fire blazing in hues of orange and yellow. All of the fire swirled into one shape, that of a bird. It flew up, higher and higher, until it touched the sun. Then, everything went white.
"Kamira-chan?"
Kamira snapped out of her little trance to see Heza waving her hand in front of her face. "Oh my.. I must have dozed off... gomen nasai..."
"Weird, ever since the Yuki Festival you've just been zoning out from time to time..." Heza said, a skeptical look on her face. "Is something wrong?"
"Iie, I'm perfectly fine," Kamira said, grinning at her friend.
"You sure? You're not sick or anything? 'Cause it wouldn't be good for any of us to be sick while looking for these Digi Cards or whatnot..."
"Honestly, I'm okay..."
"All right then..." Heza walked off.
Kamira sighed and rested her chin in the palm of her hand. *This is so very strange... what is that fire I saw? It was like a phoenix... Maybe it has something to do with the Digi Cards!* she thought. She looked down at her crest. *I wonder what this does...?*

"I sense it... the Sun-Digi Card is nearby... Chiikomon!"
"Hai, Master?" Chiikomon squeaked, fluttering in the air beofre the star-spotted void.
"Summon Blazemon..."
As if on cue, a large hedgehog-like Digimon sped up to them. It was bright red, with spiked flames for quills. "Hai, what can I do for you, Lord Armageddomon?" Blazemon asked.
"Go to the DigiDestined's campsite... do not let them capture the Sun-Digi Card..." Armageddomon said, his blood-red eyes gleaming from within the depths of the dark space.
Blazemon nodded and zoomed out of the dark castle.

"Psst. Sakura-chan!"
Sakura looked at the small orange lion beside her. "Hai, Kero-chan?"
"Is it just me, or do you sense a Clow Card?" Kero asked.
Sakura closed her eyes and concentrated for a few moments. She opened her eyes in shock, as if something had hit her. "I do sense a card! Maybe it's a Digi Card..."
"Well duh, why would normal Clow Cards be in this world?" Kero said, crossing his short arms.
Suddenly, the sky turned dark gray.
Syaoran and Kagemon ran over to them. "It's a Digi Card!"
Sakura stood up in surprise. "Nani?!"
Syaoran pointed to the nearby forest, which had caught fire. "Kagemon and I were in the forest looking for food, and a tree fell over because of the fire!"
"Hai, I think it may have been a Digimon that started it!" Kagemon said, his emerald eyes flashing.
"Let's go take care of it!" Sakura said. She, Syaoran, Kagemon, and Kero-chan ran over to join the group, who were prepared for battle.
"Marching Fishes!!" Gomamon shouted over and over again, attempting to put out the fire. "It's no use! There's too many flames!" he yelled, exhausted.
"What can we do?!" Sora shouted.
"I'll try and blow it out! Biyomon, digivolve to... Birdramon!"
Birdramon flew high over the tops of the trees, then flapped her wings hard. The flames grew larger, and a couple flared up and burnt them. Birdramon dropped to the ground and de-digivolved.
"Oh no! It only made the flames worse!" Sora shouted, picking up the unconscious Biyomon.
At that point, the fire seemed to die down, and a large ball of fire rolled out of the forest.
"Nani, what's that?" Pseudomon, who was nearby, shouted in her accented voice.
The ball of fire uncurled and stood before the group. It was about ssix feet tall, and resembled a red hedgehog with spiked orange-and-yellow fire for his quills.
Koushirou popped open his laptop. "Strange, I've never seen this Digimon before... that's Blazemon, a fire mammal-type Digimon. He's an Ultimate stage Digimon, with a powerful Flame Wheel attack.
Blazemon snickered. "I have been sent by Lord Armadeggomon to personally make sure you don't encounter the Sun-Digi Card. I will destroy you now. Flame Wheel!!" he shouted, curling up into a ball. He rolled along the ground at a blinding speed, scorching the grass and knocking every Digimon to the ground. He circled the group many times, until a ring of fire trapped them.
"Oii, this is bad!" Taichi shouted, clenching his fist. "Let'[s get 'em!"
"Pepper Breath!"
"Blue Blaster!"
"Spiral Twister!"
"Super Shocker!"
"Poison Ivy!"
"Marching Fishes!"
"Boom Bubble! PAH!"
"Lightning Paw!"
"Cherry Blossom Blitz!"
"Delta Cannon!"
Blazemon sneered and easily dodged the attacks. "Is that the best you can do? Flame Wheel!" Once again, all of the Digimon were scorched by the flames.
"Agumon!" Taichi ran over to his fallen friend. "Say something! Can you fight?"
Agumon groaned, then stood up. "I'm alright, Taichi..."
"Try to Digivolve!"
"I'll give it my best shot! Agumon! Digivolve to... Greymon!"
Greymon and Blazemon, glared at each other for a few moments, roughly at the same height. Greymon growled. "Nova Blast!" He hurtled the large ball of fire from his mouth.
Blazemon countered with a Flame Wheel attack, knocking Greymon to the ground.
"Greymon! Try to Digivolve again!"
"Greymon! Digivolve to.... err, Greymon?"
"It's not working!" Taichi shouted in shock.
Blazemon wheeled around Greymon, until a smaller ring of fire surrounded him. He growled in pain as the heat began to overcome him. He dropped to one knee, but didn't de-digivolve.
"Greymon!!" Taichi shouted, running toward him. Mustering up all of his courage, he ran through the flames to his injured friend.
Suddenly, a bright orange light pierced the sky. The NeoCrest of Courage began glowing brightly, a light about twice as strong as the regular crest had.
"Taichi, run! The fire's too hot!" Greymon yelled.
"No! I'm not going to leave you here, to burn up!!" Taichi shouted, his NeoCrest still glowing.
The sun, shining brightly above, gave off a hot white light. The ring of fire circling Taichi and Greymon rose up into the air, so high it seemed to circle around the sun. All of the flames pulled together and formed a bird shape, similar to Birdramon.
"What is that....?" Sora asked, looking up at it.
"No! It's the Sun-Digi Card!"
Sakura and Syaoran looked at each other. Sakura took out her Key. (PikaChan's Note: I don't really know the incantation for the wand that well... x.x Bear with me) "Power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force, ignite!!" The small key tuned into the bright pink wand.
"The Sun-Digicard can be countered with Watery!" Syaoran shouted.
Sakura took out the elemental card, Watery. "Watery! Release and Dispel!!"
The bright blue spiritlike mass flew up into the sky towards the orange bird. It sent out a wall of flames. Watery dodged it easily, and collided with Sun. It fell to the ground, easily defeated.
"Now what do I do?" Sakura asked Kero-chan, who was fluttering beside her. "Do I turn it into a Sakura Card?"
"Uhm... just make something up!" Kero-chan said.
Sakura held out her wand. "Sun-Digi Card, return to the mass from whence you came! SUN!"
Sun glowed brightly for a moment, then took the form of a single card. It flew around with the breeze for a moment, then finally stopped in front of Taichi, his NeoCrest still glowing.
"No! It can't be!!" Blazemon shouted, his eyes opening wide.
Taichi took the floating card into his hands. Suddenly, the voice of Gennai echoed in his mind.
*Greymon must use the Sun-Digi Card to digivolve into his next form! Shout Digical Card Digivolve!*
Taichi turned to look at Blazemon, and smirked. "Digital Card Digivolve!"
Greymon glowed with a bright orange light, as bright as Taichi's NeoCrest. A beam in the shape of the Crest of Courage shot through the Sun-Digi Card, and into Greymon.
"Greymon, Card Digivolve to...."
Greymon's helmet turned to a glossy gold, and changed shape slightly to resemble the mask of Tutenkhamen. A gleaming breastplate appeared on Greymon's chest; a sun with a golden blade protruding from the corners. Dragonlike wings sprouted from his back, and a golden plate encrusted with gemstones covered the top of them. Finally, his teeth grew into long fangs. A ring of fire circled him, thr transformation complete.
"... PharaohGreymon!!"
"PharaohGreymon...?" Taichi whispered, looking up at the Ultimate-level Digimon.
Kourhirou peered at his laptop again. "Wow. PharaohGreymon is the Card-Ultimate form of Greymon. His Solar Flare attack can even melt diamond!"
"Can even melt diamond...?" Taichi muttered, amazed. He grinned. "All right, PharaohGreymon, let's GO!!"
"Solar Flare!!" PharaohGreymon released a giant orange flame from his mouth. It spiraled toward the surprised Blazemon, who had a look of sheer terror on his face.
"Noooooo!!" Blazemon dropped to the ground, extremely weak. "Lord Armageddomon... I have failed you...." He dissolved.
PharaohGreymon de-digivolved to Koromon. Taichi ran over and hugged his friend. "That was awesome!!"
"Heh. I'm tired," Koromon said. "Do we have any food?"
Syaoran sweatdropped. "Ahh, the forest caught on fire before we could find any..." he said. "Gomen nasai..."
"Just great..." Koromon groaned.
Just then, a bright orb appeared, and Gennai stepped out of it. "Great, you managed to capture the Sun-Digi Card. Well done."
"Eh, it was easy," Taichi said with an air of arrogance.
"I warn you, not all of the Digi Cards will be this easy to capture. There are eleven others you must find..." Gennai said.
"Eleven? Greaaaaaaat...." Koushirou grumbled. He clicked away at his laptop, mumbling illegible remarks.
"There is also Snow, Sky, Spark, Forest, Ocean, Spirit, Angel, Star, Dream, Psychic and Gem. Perhaps the hardest to capture will be the second half, as they have almost no weaknesses," Gennai explained.
"But where can we find all of them?" Sora asked.
"Depends. They'll just spontaneously appear sometimes. It's hard to tell when the next one will show up..."
Everybody groaned.

"Eep... Blazemon really blew it..." Chiikomon winced, looking into the screen in front of him.
"CHIIKOMON!!!" Armageddomon bellowed.
Chiikomon covered his ears to the best of his ability. "Hai, Master?"
"The DigiDestined now have the Sun-Digi Card. Blazemon failed!"
"Gomen, I'll try to do better next time..." Chiikomon apologized, sweatdropping.
Kiyonimon, who was in a nearby cage, eavesdropped on the conversation, pretending to be asleep. *Alright! Go team! If they get the next Digi Card, Armageddomon'll really blow up! Hahahaha...* she thought, smirking. It was then that she noticed an egg sitting nearby. It was the same egg that had been stolen when she was captured. *Nani... That's the Digiegg of Dreams...* Kiyonimon stood up and looked at the egg though the bars of her cage. *If I can just manage to break these bars... I can escape with the egg and find Heza-chan before Armageddomon does something horible!* She looked around to se if Chiikomon was watching, then tugged on the bars. They bent slightly. *Stupid bird... putting me in a cage made from aluminum, how thoughtless.* She then listened to the conversation once more.
"Alright then, send out Arachmon. The little pipsqueak says the Ninth child is terrified of spiders..." Armageddomon said, casting a glance at Kiyonimon.
*What the hell?! How did he know that?! Unless... shimatte, he can read minds!!* Kiyonimon thought without realizing it.
The gigantic spider Digimon that had been an aide in Kiyonimon's abduction appeared before Armageddomon and Chiikomon. "I am here to ssssssssssserve you, Massssssssster Armageddomon..." Arachmon hissed.
"Go prevent the humans from getting the Snow-Digi Card..."
"I will sssssssssucceed, Massssssssster..." Arachmon said, then skittered out of the castle on his bladelike legs.
"Chiikomon, bring up the Digital Map," Armageddomon requested.
A map hologram appeared before them. It mapped out the entire Digital World.
"There are four main sections of this reformatted DigiWorld... the Emerald Forest, the Electro Zone, the Blue Arctic, and the Rolling Plains... In the center of it all is Spiral Mountain, which is where my fortress is perched on top of." Armagrddomon paused for a moment. "I will divide the DigiDestined into three groups, and put one in a section... before I do that, I will place barriers seperating each section. They will be unable to pass through the barriers. This plan is foolproof!"
"Are ya really sure it'll work?" Chiikomon asked, skeptical.
"Of course! None of my plans have failed yet. Well, yours maybe, but I am not a failer..." Armageddomon let out a maniacal laugh. The faint silver outline of a dragon's face appeared in the void, crimson eyes glowing. The void inverted colours, and four silver trails shot in four different directions throughout the length of the Digital World. "Now... to seperate the DigiDestined!!!" He let out an ear-shattering screech, causing the entire land to shake and rumble.

"Aah, what's that noise?!" Heza shouted, covering her ears.
"I dunno, but it's causing an earthquake!" Jyou observed as the ground began shaking rapidly.
"That sound! It's making my ears bleed!" Takeru shouted, trying to block out the high-pitched shriek that rang in his ears.
The ground began glowing white,then the whole area around the group turned the same colour. Everybody flew in a different direction, as if the ground had exploded. They had been split up and strewn about the Digital World.

(PikaChan's Note: Yes, Tomoyo and Kero-chan are staying in the Rolling Plains. After all, that's where they arrived, ne? So if they don't seem to appear much throughout the rest of the story, that's why. Just thought I'd let you know.)
"Li-san! Wake up!"
Syaoran groaned and put a hand to his neck. He opened his eyes to see Taichi, Kagemon, and Agumon standing over him. "Nnn... what happened? I feel like I got run over by a truck.."
"Ya kinda look like it too," Taichi snickered.
Syaoran glared at him. He then put a finger to his lip, which was bleeding slightly. His clothes were also ripped in a few places. He stood up. Only then did he feel a slight chill. "What in the hell?! It's freezing out here!" Syaoran shouted, rubbing his arms through the sleeves of his shirt.
"Yeah, look at all of this snow..." Taichi said, looking around at the white desert before them.
"Aren't you cold?" Syaoran asked.
"Not really. I guess it's the fire from my courage or something..."
"I don't know about you, Agumon, but I'm freezing..." Kagemon said, arching his back, trying to adjust to the cold.
"Not me. It's been too hot lately," Agumon said, grinning.
"Well, I guess we should try to find the others..." Taichi said, cracking his knuckles.
"Good idea... I hope Sakura-chan's okay..." Syaoran said, his amber eyes showing a bit of concern.
"Hey, it's not healthy to be so depressed, Syaoran-kun..." Kagemon said, looking up at his partner.
"I know... hey! Wait for us, baka!" Syaoran said, noticing that Taichi and Agumon had gone ahead of them, and tried to catch up. Kagemon flew by his side.

"Ah... ah... ah... CHOO!" Heza sneezed. "WHY did it hafta be snow?! I hate snow!!" She rubbed her arms. "And these gloves aren't much help," she said, looking down at her black fingerless gloves.
"And here I thought you'd be used to cold weather after spending three winters in Odaiba," Yamato said from behind her.
"Well, I'm not. Maybe I should have worn warmer clothes..." She rubbed her hands together.
There was a short pause, then Heza sat down in the snow. She sighed. "I just hope Lunamon's okay, wherever she is... (PikaChan's Note: I find it easier to type 'Lunamon' than 'Ruunamon.' Heh, I think Ruunamon would like, the romaji or something O.o I'm not THAT good with Japanese...)"
Yamato sneezed. "Methinks the cold's getting to me too... Maybe we should look for the others so we don't freeze out here..." he said, standing up, Gabumon at his side.
Heza looked at him. "Why do I feel like we're being watched...?" she asked.
Yamato looked around. "I don't see anything..." He looked up at the tree above them, and his eyes went wide. "Look out!!" he shouted, tackling Heza to the ground.
Right where Heza had been standing landed a giant spider with bladelike legs.
"Aah! What the hell?!" Heza shouted.
"That was close..." Yamato said, looking at the spider.
It turned around to look at them. "Sssssssilk Shocker!!" it shouted, shooting out a long thread of white silk. Yamato and Heza quickly rolled out of the way.
"Crap! It's Arachmon! I've heard of these things from Lunamon, they're supposed to be the Ultimate form of Kuwagamon..." Heza said, a bit frightened. She shuddered a bit, not taking her eyes off of the large spider.
Yamato stood up. "All right, let's go Gabumon!" he shouted.
"Right! Gabumon! Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"What?! We can't fight alone!" Heza shouted.
Yamato climbed on Garurumon's back, then held out his hand. "Come on, we've got to try to get away!"
Heza grabbed his hand and quickly hopped onto Garurumon's back behind him. "Let's get out of here!"
"Not ssssssssso fasssssssssssst! Sssssssilk Shocker!!" Arachmon shouted, sending a coat of sticky silk at Garurumon. His legs became tangled in it, and he fall over. Yamato and Heza landed in the snow.
"Garurumon!" Yamato shouted.
Arachmon stood over Garurumon, holding one bladed arm to his throat. "I will dessssssssstroy you now..."
"Leave him alone!!" Yamato yelled, standing up and running at Arachmon.
"Yamato, wait!!" Heza shouted. "I think I see someone!"
Yamato turned around and saw Taichi, Syaoran, and their Digimon in the distance. "All right! Heza-chan, you go and get them. I'll keep Arachmon busy!"
"Yamato, I can't leave you alone to fight!" Heza shouted.
Just then, Arachmon looked at Heza. "Ah yesssssssss... If I remember correctly, you, the Ninth child, have arachnophobia..."
Heza gasped, then backed away. "H-how did you know that...?" She hit something behind her and saw a tree. She was cornered.
"Psssssssssh. I can ssssssssensssssssse it in you... prepare to die!" Arachmon then lunged at her, claws ready to slice.
Heza screamed loudly as Arachmon thrust a bladed leg at her. She shut her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her face.
Garurumon, who had broken free of the silk, pounced on Arachmon, Yamato on his back. "Leave her alone!!" Yamato shouted angrily. He jumped off of Garurumon's back.
Garurumon's teeth closed around the arm that was ready to attack Heza. He and Arachmon began fighting.
"Howling Blaster!!"
"Silk Shocker!!"
Yamato ran over to Heza, who was still crying, and wrapped his arms around her. "Are you alright?!"
Heza nodded and wiped her eyes. "Arigatou..."
Yamato smiled and hugged her. He then turned around and glared at Arachmon, who was getting a beating from Garurumon. "You really crossed the line that time, Arachmon!" he shouted. Just then, the NeoCrest of Friendship gave off an immense blue light. "Whoa..."
"Hey, what's that light up ahead?" Agumon asked.
"Sure is bright," Kagemon commented.
Syaoran stopped in his tracks. "It's a Digi Card! I sense it!" he shouted, drawing his sword.
Taichi blinked at Syaoran. "Wow.. awesome sword there." He looked ahead and squinted to see Garurumon fighting a huge spiderlike Digimon, and Yamato with his NeoCrest giving off the bright blue light. Heza was standing behind him.
"It's Yamato and Heza! Let's go, Agumon!"
"All right! Agumon! Digivolve to... Greymon!"
Taichi and Syaoran climbed on Greymon's shoulders while Kagemon flew beside them. "Tallyho!"
Yamato's NeoCrest continued to glow with the same bright blue light as he continued to shout at Arachmon. "Nobody tries anything on my friends and gets away with it!"
Just then, a frozen pond near them began to glow brightly. Yamato and Heza turned to look at it. The ice melted, and pulled together to form a strange seal-like shape. It was thin, and the same bright blue as Yamato's NeoCrest. It quickly flew through the air, turning everything behind it to ice, and a trail of shining snow behind it.
"Wow... is that the Snow-Digi Card?" Heza asked. Out of amazement, she calmly approached it, her eyes fixed on the bright blue mass.
"Heza-chan, wait!" Yamato shouted. But it was too late. As soon as the Snow-Digi Card came into contact with Heza, she became encased in ice. "HEZA!!"
"Yamato!"
Yamato turned around to see Greymon, with Taichi and Syaoran on his back.
"Oi! Am I glad to see you guys!!" Yamato shouted.
"We got here as fast as we could," Taichi said, hopping off of Greymon's shoulders. Syaoran did the same.
"It's the Snow-Digi Card! I was right!" Syaoran said. "It can be countered by fire attacks!"
"All right, let's go Greymon!" Taichi shouted, taking out the Sun-Digi Card.
"Greymon! Card-Digivolve to... PharaohGreymon!!"
Garurumon finally let go of Arachmon as Snow was flying around, still freezing everything.
"Solar Flare!!" PharaohGreymon shouted, once again releasing the spiral of fire. It hit Snow with grea impact and sent it to the ground. This time though, instead of being sealed, it materialized into the Snow-Digi Card. It caught on the light breeze and landed in Yamato's hands.
Yamato glanced at Heza, who was still encased in ice, then held the Card in the air. "Digital Card Digivolve!!" The symbol of Friendship beamed through the card and into Garurumon.
"Garurumon! Card-Digivolve to...."
Aside from getting larger, Garurumon's fur turned white, and his stripes turned ice-blue. A short silver horn sprouted from his forehead; and huge white wings from his back. His claws grew longer, as did his fangs. Snow circled him briefly, the transformation complete.
".... ArcticGarurumon!!"
Yamato stared at ArcticGarurumon in awe, a bright blue aura around the winged wolf. "Sugoi..."
"Hmm... ArcticGarurumon is the Card-Ultimate form of Garurumon. His Northern Lights and Icicle Cyclone attacks are very powerful and can't even me melted by fire!" Kagemon observed.
ArcticGarurumon took to the sky on his majestic white wings. He began to glow with many colors. "Northern Lights!!" A blast of blue-and-purple energy flew from his mouth and hit Arachmon with overpowering force.
"Go get 'em, ArcticGarurumon!" Yamato shouted, clenching his fist.
ArcticGarurumon swooped down low, and his horn began glowing brightly. "Icicle Cyclone!!" A myriad (PC's Note: O.o First time I've used that word in a fic ^.^;) of icicles pelted Arachmon, creating deep wounds. They then malted, leaving behind no trace of the attack.
Arachmon collapsed. "Massssssssster Armageddomon will not go down that easssssssssily..." Arachmon dissolved.
ArcticGarurumon grinned, then de-digivolved down to Tsunomon. PharaohGreymon de-digivolved as well.
Yamato pickd up Tsunomon and grinned. "Ya did good, buddy..."
"Arigatou, Yamato-kun," Tsunomon said, a bit out of breath.
The ice surrounding Heza disappeared, and she fell to her knees. "Ack..."
Yamato set Tsunomon down. He walked to Heza and helped her up, then hugged her tightly. "Are you okay?"
"I think so... I don't really remember what happened... There was this blue sealthingy, and... IT'S TOO DAMN COLD OUT HERE!!" she shouted.
Taichi and Syaoran looked at each other and burst out laughing.
Kagemon, Tsunomon, and Agumon looked at each other and shrugged.
Yamato glared at the two other boys. "All right, what's so funny?"
"Oh, nothing... just that you and Heza-chan are *SOOOOOOO* kawaii together, that's all..." Taichi said, laughing.
Heza glared at him. She bent down and grabbed a handful of snow, then pelted him in the face. "Taichi no baka!"

"CHIIKOMON!!!"
"Not again..." Chiikomon groaned after hearing Armageddomon's shout. He fluttered up to the balck void and sighed. "Hai?"
"Arachmon failed too!! You incompetent fool, can't you pick better Digimon to take care of the job?! Now the DigiDestined have 2 of the Digi Cards!!" Armageddomon bellowed.
"Gomen nasai, Master... I'll do better next time..."
"You said that last time! But did you do any better? NO!"
Kiyonimon listened to Armageddomon's shouts, and Chiikomon's feeble whining. She then noticed that Chiikomon had left the main door open. *Yat-taa! Now I can escape!* The crescent moon on Kiyonimon's forehead began glowing faintly. "Sun Beam," she whispered. The aluminum cage gave out, and Kiyonimon managed to squeeze out of the cage without making a sound. She grabbed the Digiegg of Dreams to the best of her ability and hurried out of the fortress without being seen.
