Eli: You are aware of whats been happening in the world. Lack of regulation has made leaders think they are omnipotent and use that to abuse those at the bottom. Because of this, the world is dying unable to defend itself from many threats. Lack of ethnics have also caused divisions within society,while some barriers between people have disappeared, new threats have caused new barriers.
Michael: I know, the world is a mess because of some people who think they are gods.
Eli: This is why i said we have common enemies, our enemies are the corrupt and dark forces that are plaguing the world. I want a unified world, just like you. The council's secondary purpose was to build a portion of the unification plans. I have allies that will attempt to build the other unification plans, at this time though you have to trust me as i can't disclose details at the moment.
Yuna: What is your part?
Eli: To allow magic users to be alongside others without fear. To allow them to show they skills to others without fear or reprisals. This will mean curbing the hunting of them, and regulating their powers to a system that will benefit both sides of the problem. Part of the problem involves rooting out magic users who abuse their powers on others, like Minko. The other half of the problem is the acceptance of the arcane powers with the need to regulate such power.
Michael: In my light, all power should be capped at the top and regulated at the bottom.
Layla: Yes, before they became such institutions they were ordinary civilians like you and me. They need to realize the roots stay at where they began.
Eli then stands up and walked beside Michael.
Eli: Which is where you and Yuna come in. I want you, Michael Morpan, to become Clow guardian and protect Sakura, the council and the dynasty. Nothing will change other than the fact that i will need to contact you when we need your assistance. Yuna will also join you if you accept my offer. There is one other thing you will need...
Eli goes over to a cupboard a pulls out a samurai sword with a gold hilt and a strange symbol on the middle of the hilt (which also appears on the sword) and presents it to him.
Eli: This is the Wu Fang sword, based on the knowledge of Japanese and Chinese swords, this blade was created by Clow Reed to be inherited by the Clow guardian, who would defend the Cardcaptor. The guardian has no arcane powers of his own, so the sword was created to tap into the users spirit.
Layla: The staff, sword and bell was created to be given to certain users to this dynasty. Sakura, the Cardcaptor, inherits and forges the staff to her own image. I was given the bell to assist Sakura in the final judgment, that role complete, i no longer have the bell. You will now inherit the Sword, and its purpose to protect the Cardcaptor and the forces of light.
Eli: The sword taps into your spirit and uses it to inflict as much or as little damage as you wish. It can also cause animal like attacks on your foes. Be warned though not to use the sword too much, your body has not been fully adapted to the sword and so if you use the sword for too long at first it can make you go primal, unaware of what is happening in the world.
Yuna stands up and goes up to Michael.
Eli: Well...
Michael puts his hand on the sword
Michael: Though i have not been part of your dynasty, i have heard your needs in both past and present. Although i have not yet met your successors, i am looking forward to meeting them. We have the same goals yet different approaches to them. We need people like you Eli and so i accept the role as guardian of Clow. I will protect Sakura and her friends from Minko and other dark forces.
Yuna puts her hands on Michael's hands.
Yuna: And i will help him, no matter what, i promise to protect Michael, Sakura and your other friends for the spirit world.
Michael: Though there is one thing...
Eli: What is that?
Michael: You must apologize to Sakura for your actions against them and show them the council
Eli: Of course Michael, i promise to show them, let no more secrets hide us.
Spinner: Well, Michael, i hope it will be an honor to serve this position.
Michael: It sure will Spinner.
Eli: Right, it will be time to leave now. Layla, will you see to it that the sword is handed to Michael when we are out of the campus?
Layla: Yes Eli.
Eli: Right, Ruby see them off. I look forward to meeting you again Michael and Yuna.
With that they bowed to each other, Yuna doing the same. Michael and Yuna then followed Ruby out of the council and back into the university. Ruby stopped when at the library.
Ruby: One more thing... Eli would like to know how to contact you.
Michael: He has my e-mail address if he wants to contact me there.
Ruby: But what about a more...active...contact.
Michael: I have my mobile number, call me only if needed.
Ruby: Rest assured, my master will use it wisely.
Michael exchanges his contact details with Ruby then he and Yuna leaves the University, happy that a new prospect in the fight for freedom will soon come to them. Michael received the sword from Layla outside the campus ground.
Layla: Make sure you hide this from your family.
Michael: I promise.
Layla: Keep your friend safe Yuna.
Yuna: I will, don't worry about me. My role is to protect and care for Michael, amongst others.
Michael: I look forward to meeting Sakura, Layla. Goodbye.
And with that Michael and Yuna hold each others hands and then Yuna teleports them back home.
