Hotaru looks around at the many displays of weapons, confusion written all over her face. She didn't get it at all, what was she supposed to do now. She walks to a scythe that rests against the wall. Her fingers roll over its blade.

“It is so beautiful,” she whispers.

She picks it up into her hands looking at the dark dragon carved into its hilt. Lightning bolts streaked down it.

“Yes, it is a magnificent treasure, isn't it?”

Hotaru turns to see a woman with long black hair to her waist in a long purple dress that clings to her graceful form that flares out of her waist. She has long sleeves that flare out on her wrists.

“Who are you and what do you want?!” Hotaru yells to her.

“Well, I haven't seen you in so long and this is how you treat me?”

“What? Who are you?”

“I am your mother.”

“But my mother…”

“Died? I know.”

Hotaru sits down on the ground a look of shock is on her face, “But why are you here now? After all that has happened? Why do you show up now?”

“Because now is when you need me the most. Don't you realize there are more important things then risking your life for a guy?!”

Hotaru hearts cringe as the place changes to a beach at sunset. She looks up at the sky.

“No, you are wrong!”

Her mother steps back in shock.

“He means the universe to me and no one is going to change that!” Hotaru yells.

Her mother quickly disappears only to be replaced with Li.

“Hotaru? What is going on?”

She quickly runs into his arms, she then begins crying into his shoulder,

“Hey, you okay?”

“I thought I would never see you again…” she sobs crying even more.

Everything changes around them back to the dark room surrounded by the figures in their dark capes.

“We have come to a decision, he may go,”

“But?” Li asks.

“She must stay.”

Hotaru's eyes move to the floor, “Alright…”

“Hotaru! NO!” yells Li.

“I love you,” she whispers.

Li awakes to find himself lying on the ground with Sakura, Meiling, and Tomoyo around him. He quickly sits up to find something in his hand. He looks to see himself holding Hotaru's hand.

“Hotaru…” he whispers.

 

 

***End of FlashBack***

 

Hotaru jumps up sweat coming off of her forehead. She quickly looks around herself to see where she is, but notices Li lying next to her.

“Oh Li…” She whispers.

Her eyes begin to water as she notices a little scar on his left shoulder. She gently rubs her fingers over it smiling to herself.

“What are you so cheerful about?”

Hotaru looks up to see Setsuna at the door.

“What are you doing here?!”

“I came to get you.”

“I don't want to!”

Setsuna's eyes begin to glow a dark red. Her hair flings out around her as she moves closer pulling Hotaru out the window into the garden.

“Setsuna! Please stop it…” Hotaru begs.

“Never!” she yells throwing a black ball of energy at her.

Hotaru gets thrown out of the way. She looks over to see Li on his knees holding his stomach screaming in pain as Setsuna throws more at him.

“Do you want to be the hero still?!” She laughs at him.

“Stop!” yells Hotaru running in front of him throwing her arms up as to protect him.

“What has gotten into you Puu?” asks Hotaru looking hurt.
