"The Horror of Zephyr Reed"

Announcer: Sakura has won the battle!

Sakura wiped the sweat off her head.
Sakura: Don't sweat Marie, you almost beat me.

Marie: Yeah, oh well. Good luck.

Sakura: Thank you.

Announcer: The next fight will be with Ino and Arah.

Ino walked to the arena alone.
Sakura: Yugi and Arah haven't returned yet. If Arah doesn't make it, Yugi will be next.

Announcer: Arah? Are you here?

Syaoran: You can't be Clow Reed's son. I know all about Clow Reed. He does not have a son!

Arah: I don't where you got that information, but you're wrong!

Eriol walked in.

Eriol: Did round one end already?

Yugi: Arah is saying that you're his father. Is that true?

Eriol nodded.
Eriol: Yes.

Arah: Sorry father. I had to tell them.
Eriol: It's all right.

Syaoran: How come you never told us? I mean, you didn't tell us you had a brother or a family? Who's your wife?

Eriol: She's gone now.

Syaoran: Can you at least tell us her name?

Eriol: That's not important now.

Syaoran: Yugi, Arah won't make it to the tournament so you have to go instead.

Yugi: Oh yeah. I better hurry!

He left the resort.

Syaoran: Explain. What are the Diamond Cards?

Arah: They're Zephyr's cards. He obviously named them after my uncle.

Syaoran: What happens when someone gets them all?

Eriol: It will give the founder immortality.

Arah: Someone took the Gold Diamond Card. Luckily, I gave the Silver Card to Eriol.

Eriol: There are four cards; Aqua, Pink, Gold and Silver. We must find them all.

Arah: But we have to wait until after the tournament is over.

Syaoran nodded.

Back at the Tournament…

Announcer: Last call for Arah!

No reply.

Announcer: All right then, Ino is in the TOP 8!

Ino frowned.

Ino: I really could've used the challenge.

Announcer: Next up are Past and Yugi.

Past walked slowly to the arena. The old man looked around.

Announcer: Is Yugi in the house?

Yugi continued to run towards the tournament arena.

Sakura: Where are you Yugi?

Yugi continued to run.

Yugi: I can't miss this round. I have to make it for my friends! YU-GI-OOHHH!

He transformed into Yami.

Yami: Finally, a little more speed.

Announcer: Last call for Yugi.

Yami made it just in time.

Yami: I'm here! I'm here!

Announcer: Yugi has arrived in the arena just in time!

Yami: Sorry.

Past: It's all right.

Yami: Let's start.

Announcer: On your marks, get set, go!

Past: I have to inform you that I won this tournament once.
Yami: Oh yeah. When?

Past: It doesn't really matter.

Yami: All right then.
Past smiled and started chanting.

Yami: What is he doing?

Past: NASKERISH KO TU VA! NASKERISH KO TU VA! NASKERISH KO TU VA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The old man started transforming.

Yami: What's happening?

The planet started shaking.

Zephyr looked at Past.

Zephyr: Well, if it isn't our first winner of this tournament. Now I remember Past.

Sakura: Oh god.

Past started transforming bigger and bigger. When the transformation ended, Yami gasped. Past transformed into a blobby monster.

Yami: What the heck?

Past started laughing.

Yami: I can beat that thing in one punch!

Past swung his tail at Yami. He missed.

Yami leaped and punched Past in the face. But he bounced back.

Yami: Damn it! My kicks or punches won't do any good.

Past smiled and wrapped his tongue at Yami.

Yami: AH! Let me go!

Past started Yami closer to his mouth. He finally got Yami in his mouth. Yami struggled to keep Past's mouth open. Finally, he escaped.

Past: Give up Yugi, you have no chance.

Yami: How am going to beat him?

A cool breeze filled up the arena.

Yami: Oh great. Now I'm all cold.

Yami thought for a second.

Yami: That's it! Ice.

Past: Huh?

Yami: Ice Ball Freeze!

Yami released a blue beam.

Past: NOOO!!

Everything in Past's body froze but his head.

Yami: All right. If you give up now, I won't freeze your head.

Past: All right. You win.

Yami: Good.

He melted the ice and Past turned back into an old man.

Past: Good luck, Yugi.

Yami turned back into Yugi.

Yugi: Thank you.

Announcer: Yugi is in the TOP 8!

Sakura: Good job Yugi.

Yugi: Thanks. I guess we can go back to the resort. There's something you might want to know.

Sakura: What is it?

Yugi told Sakura everything about Arah being Clow Reed's and the Diamond Cards.

Sakura: How come Arah didn't tell us?

Yugi: I don't know. I had to leave so I wouldn't miss my match.

Announcer: Zephyr is the winner!

Yugi: What, already?

Zephyr: Hello Yugi. Ha. Drago didn't have a chance.

Yugi and Sakura looked at the arena. They saw Drago being carried into paramedics.

Zephyr: I'm looking forward to our battle tomorrow, Yugi.

Yugi frowned.

Yugi: Just to tell you, we know about your cards.

Zephyr: What are you talking about?

Sakura: Well, whomever you sent to get them for you failed to get both. They only got the Gold Card.

Zephyr: Ha! I will get that last card trust me. This person that I sent is closer than you think.

He grinned.

Zephyr: See you tomorrow.

Announcer: All right. We are done with the first round. Here are tomorrow's battles.

Tournament Round II

1st: Kay vs. Jenkman

2nd: Bakura vs. Syaoran

3rd: Sakura vs. Ino

4th: Yugi vs. Zephyr

Announcer: Contestants, be here at around four.

Everyone left the arena.

Zephyr looked around.

Zephyr: Where the hell are you Bakura?

Bakura: Right here.

Zephyr: What took you?

Bakura: Here, this was the only card I could find.

Zephyr: Thank you for your help. I'll get the last card myself.

Bakura: All right, now tell me where the Millennium Items are.

Zephyr: Oh, about that. Sorry, but I don't know where they are.

Bakura: What?
Zephyr: I knew you would react this way. But hey, you're no use to me anymore.

Bakura: What does that mean?

Zephyr: Good-bye.

Zephyr starting making Bakura fly.

Bakura: Let me go!

Zephyr squeezed his hands.

Bakura's body exploded.

Zephyr: Oh sure, do half the work.

He grinned.

Sakura and Yugi rushed to the resort.

Yugi: What's going on?

Eriol: Nothing.

Yugi: Are you sure?

Syaoran: Yeah.

Arah: Let's watch some TV.

He kept searching until he saw Zephyr on TV.

Arah: Hey guys. Look at this.

Reporter: So how is the tournament so far?

Zephyr: It's going great.

Reporter: Will you be competing tomorrow?
Zephyr: Yes I will.

Yugi: With me.

Syaoran looked outside the window. Something was coming their way.

Syaoran: Guys! Duck!

Everyone ducked and something crashed through the window.
Sakura: What is it?

Cassandra: It's a tape.

Yugi: Let's watch it.

The put the tape on VCR and saw Zephyr.

Zephyr: Hello, everyone. I see Yugi, Sakura, and Syaoran have made it to the next round. Too bad, Arah. Well, I'm going to make short. You see, I really need that Diamond Card. So, give it to me now, or suffer the consequences.

There was silence.

Zephyr: I doubt you said yes. Well, let's just put it this way. If you say no, then the earth will be destroyed!!

Sakura gasped.

Zephyr: I have created a special beam cannon that can destroy a planet the second it touches it. Earth may be far from here, but it will reach it in five minutes. You may have noticed that you're missing someone.

Yugi looked around.

Yugi: Where's Bakura?

Zephyr: That's right, Bakura is gone. I have destroyed him because he was no use for me anymore. That means that Syaoran will automatically advance. But Yugi and Sakura still have a battle waiting. Anyways, back to my point, meet me in the arena in three hours. If you neither of you appear, I will destroy earth.

Sakura: Oh no. My father and my brother.

Zephyr: You have three hours. See you then.

The tape ended.

Yugi: What do we do now?

Eriol: I know the earth is important and we live there, but if we tear this card up, then Zephyr won't have a chance to gain immortality.

Sakura: I have an idea. I can make a copy of the card. I give it to Zephyr. You guys search for the cannon and destroy it.

Syaoran: Sakura, this planet's pretty big. It'll take us about half an hour at least.

Sakura: Zephyr is so in love with me. I'll keep him busy.

Yugi: It's the only thing we've got. Now, it'll probably take twice as much time off if three people go.

Syaoran: Yugi, Eriol, and I will go look for it.

Sakura: All right.

Three Hours Later…

Sakura waited for Zephyr in the entrance of the arena. Zephyr appeared.

Zephyr: I was sure you'd be here.

Sakura: Oh, hi Zephyr.

Zephyr: Give me the card now.

Sakura: Here you go.

Sakura pulled him to her and kissed him. Zephyr kissed back.

Yugi: All right. Let's split up.

Syaoran: Ok.

The three of them flew to different directions.

Sakura stopped the kiss.
Sakura: Oh Zephyr. I can't hide it anymore. I love you.

Zephyr: Really? Well, I've always said to myself that the feelings I had for you were gone, but they're not.

Sakura: I know.

They kissed again.

Zephyr: Hmm. Why don't we take this at my house?

Sakura: Uh.
Zephyr: What?

Sakura: (Thinking) I don't have a choice.

Sakura: All right.

Zephyr carried Sakura to his house.

When they got inside, Sakura smiled.

Sakura: Have you had dinner yet?

Zephyr: No. Would you like to eat here?

Sakura: Sure. Maybe later we can, play.

Zephyr smiled.

Zephyr: All right.

Sakura: (Thinking) Okay Sakura, eat as slow as you can.

Zephyr: I'll go make dinner. You stay here.
Sakura sat down in the couch.

Sakura: This is place is beautiful.

She felt something underneath the sofa. She took it out. It was a case for something. She opened it and saw the three Diamond Cards.

Sakura: Oh my gosh.

She took the Gold Card and put it in her card case. She put the case under the sofa.

Zephyr walked out of the kitchen.

Zephyr: Dinner is getting ready. You want to go in my room.

Sakura: Actually, I think we should get to know each other a little better. What happened ten minutes ago was somebody else.

Zephyr: Okay. But first, you have to give me the Silver Card.

Sakura: Can't we make-out first?

Zephyr: Can't argue with that?

He kissed Sakura again.

Yugi smiled.

Yugi: I found it.

In front of him was a big cannon. He touched it and started feeling drowsy.

Zephyr stopped the kiss.

Zephyr: I know what you're up to.

Sakura: What are you talking about?

Zephyr: Give me the card now.
Sakura: Okay, okay.
She handed him the fake card.

Zephyr looked at it and threw it in the trashcan.

Zephyr: I knew it! Yugi touched the cannon. Which means that the cannon will release the beam in… five minutes.

Sakura: NO!

She left the house.

Zephyr smiled and opened the case.

Zephyr: Huh? Aqua and Pink, what happened to,

He frowned.
Zephyr: I'll kill her. I'll kill them all!
He disappeared.

Yugi tried staying up.

Syaoran: Yugi, what happened?

Yugi: I-I touched the cannon and it must've been an alarm or something.

Computer: Shuttle Countdown: Two Minutes.

Syaoran: WHAT?

Eriol and Sakura arrived.

Sakura: Zephyr is probably on his way here.

Eriol: This is perfect! I can stop this from releasing.

Syaoran: Why don't we just destroy it?

He got his sword out.

Eriol: Syaoran, no!

The second Syaoran's sword touched the cannon, it started shaking.

Eriol: Now we have less time!

Zephyr: Exactly.

Yugi: Zephyr!

Computer: Cannon Countdown: 1 minute.

Eriol grinned.

Zephyr: I don't think so, uncle.

Zephyr fired a beam at him.

Sakura: ERIOL!

The beam destroyed him.

Yugi: You monster!

Zephyr: You're next Sakura. Don't worry, your daddy and brother will join you.

Sakura closed her eyes.

Zephyr grinned and aimed his hand at her.

Sakura looked down.

Sakura: I'm sorry everyone. I tried.

Zephyr: (Thinking) Huh? Why am I feeling bad? Do I love her?

Zephyr put his hand down.

Sakura: Huh?

Zephyr: I'll kill you in tournament. Say good-bye to earth for me.

Yugi looked at Sakura.

Computer: Cannon Countdown: Ten seconds.

Syaoran: Guys! We have to get out of here or the cannon may destroy us!

They quickly ran out of the building.

The cannon released the beam.

Sakura: NOOOOOO!

The beam continued its path to earth.
