The Rainbow Crystals

Chapter 1

"The New Quest"

Ring! Ring!

It was the telephone. A sixteen year-old girl answered it.

"Hi Tomoyo! What's up?"

"Nothing much, except that I, I shouldn't tell you."

"Oh come on! Did you get the tickets?"

"Yes! Except, I didn't get them."

"What? Who did?"

"Syaoran did! He got two tickets! One for you and one for him!"

"Cool! Wait! You're not going?"

Tomoyo sneezed on purpose. "I have a cold. Besides, they were the last ones."

"Oh, too bad. Well, I hope you feel better."

"Yeah. Me too. Bye!" Tomoyo hanged up.

The Next Day

"So, how did it go?" asked Tomoyo.

"It was fun. Even though Syaoran didn't like that kind of music. He pretended he did so he can make me feel better. What a nice guy!"

The teacher spoke. "Everyone sit down! We have four new transfer students joining us today. Three of them are from Tokyo. The other is from England. Please welcome Yugi, Tea, Joey, and Myko!"

Four kids walked inside.

Everyone said hello.

"Yugi, Tea, and Joey are from Tokyo and Myko's from London. Why don't you all introduce yourselves."

Yugi stepped forward. "Hello everyone! Uh, does anyone know how to play duel monsters?"

A few hands were up.

Yugi smiled. "Great!"

While Tea and Joey were introducing themselves. Sakura and Tomoyo were talking. Syaoran was listening.

"Hey! Myko is pretty cute! Right?" Tomoyo said. Before Sakura said a word, Tomoyo noticed that Sakura was blushing.

"Uh, no! Maybe, a little."

That made Syaoran mad.

"Hey guys! I'm only, like, right behind you!" he whispered.

Sakura stuttered. "I-I j-just think Myko's a little cute. You're much cuter!"

"Good."

The teacher said, "Great! Now for our English student! Myko, why don't you introduce yourself."

Myko stepped forward. "Hello! I'm Myko! I love to do all kinds of sports. Like Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Handball, etc. I also like to use the computer. Back home I worked in a Computer Store."

Everyone was fascinated. Even the teacher.

"All right! Yugi, you sit next to Tomoyo. Tea, next to Yugi. Joe, next to Tea, and Myko in front of Sakura. Tomoyo, Sakura please raise your hands."

Both of them raised their hands.

At Lunch

Myko sat by himself. Sakura and Tomoyo asked if they can sit next to him. He said yes. Unfortunately, Syaoran was stuck sitting with his soccer team. There was silence for a while.

"So, she's the Card Mistress. But she's so nice and pretty. Oh well, a mission is a mission." Myko thought.

"Excuse me. But I must go to the nurses' room. Bye!" he said.

Yugi and his friends sat down next to them.

"Hi! You must be Sakura!" said Yugi. Sakura nodded. She found him to be a little odd.

"All right! How long ago did you transform the Hope Card?" Yugi asked.

Sakura gasped. "How do you know?"

"Never mind that. Please tell us how long ago. It's important!"

"Fine! It was six years ago! Why?"

"So, you haven't used magic since then? Right?"

"Yes. But that doesn't answer my question!"

"Ok. Ok. You have a new quest to fulfill."

"What is it?"

"There is an evil card captor out there trying to steal to Seven Rainbow Card."

"Rainbow Cards?"

"They're special cards that contain ultimate power. It will be hard, but I think you can do it!"

"Wow! I can finally use my magic! I can't do it alone! I'll need help!"

"Well, Syaoran has powers. I do too."

"I guess. Where are the cards anyway?"

"Out there. So far, we're winning. I have the Yellow Card!"

"You do? Awesome! What happens when all seven cards are reunited?"

"When they are reunited, the person who reunited them gets to use three wishes. I bet the evil card captor would wish for bad things. WE have one down! Go tell Syaoran!"

"He's a bit busy right now!" Sakura said laughing.
