Chapter 28

"Hope"

Sakura took out her wand. "Fly!" she flew and grabbed Syaoran just in time.

"Sakura! You shouldn't have done that!" he yelled. The ground started shaking.

Yugi gasped and looked down. "I wonder what's going on. Please come out safe Sakura." He continued.

"My friends come first!" exclaimed Sakura.

"I'll never forgive you for this. You could've continued."

"Oh well, too late. Now let's go!"

"Ok. Sakura?"

"Yes."

"I love you."

Sakura's eyes widened.

Tea gasped. "Why is the ground shaking? I'm out of here." She ran to the elevator. When it opened, she screamed.

Yugi gasped again. "No! He found her!" he got out of the hole and flew to the skyscraper.

"What?"

"I still love you. I was going to tell you at the dance, but…"

"Let's talk about this later. We have to leave."

Syaoran nodded.

They flew off.

"Surprised to see me?" asked a figure. It came to the light. It was Diamond!

Tea backed away. "What do you want?"

"I'm pretty sure you know what I want. Hand it over and I will spare you."

"Hand what over? I don't have anything!"

"DON'T PLAY GAMES WITH ME! HAND THE YELLOW CARD OVER!!!!" yelled Diamond.

The ground began to shake again.

"What is this earthquake?" asked Diamond.

The skyscraper collapsed.

Yugi stopped. He looked at the torn tower. "I'm too late." He whispered. All of the sudden, he sensed something. The Yellow Card protected Tea! He still had a chance to save her.

Tea came out of the rocks. She had a shield around her. It disappeared seconds later. She looked up and saw Yugi.

"Yugi! Over here!" she said cheerily. Yugi stopped beside her and hugged her. "Boy, am I glad to see you?" said Yugi.

"Ditto." Said Tea. She took out the Yellow Card. Her face was changing. She was MAD!!

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU! THIS CARD ALMOST DESTROYED ME! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!"

"I'm sorry! At least you're ok."

"Yeah."

Some rocks were moving. Diamond came out! Yugi stepped in front of Tea. "Tea, I want you to leave, NOW!"

Tea nodded. She began running. Diamond laughed. "No one leaves until I say so!" he shot a beam at Tea. BOOM! Nothing was left except for the Yellow Card. Yugi gasped. "TEA!!!!!!!!"

Sakura gasped. "Oh no! She's gone."

"Who?"

"Tea. Poor Tea."

Yugi turned around at Diamond. "I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH MY FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!" His anger got him more power. "NOW YOU WILL DIE!!!!!" he shot a beam at Diamond. Diamond dodged it and laughed. "Can't you see? I'm invincible. There's nothing you can do to hurt me!"

Yugi gasped.

"That's right!" he took out the Green Card!

Yugi gasped again.

"Because the Card Mistress couldn't catch the card, the card went to me. Now that the card is with me, I get more power!"

"No."

"Well, I do say that this is goodbye!"

Yugi kneeled down.

"BYE BYE!" yelled Diamond shooting a beam at Yugi. The only thing that was there was the millennium idol.

"I'm going to love killing the Card Mistress!" he laughed.

Sakura formed tears. "YUGI!"

Syaoran gasped. "Sakura."

"DIAMOND HAS GONE TOO FAR!!!!"

She gained speed. In seconds, they got out of the hole. They landed on the ground.

"Where is he?" asked Sakura.

"I don't know." Answered Syaoran.

As they were looking around, a figure sneaked behind Syaoran. It grabbed Syaoran by the neck.

"Aaagghhh! SAKURA!" he yelled.

Sakura turned around. "SYAORAN!" she ran to him. "LET HIM GO DIAMOND!"

Diamond was tightening until Syaoran choked to death.

"We don't need scums like him around." He said letting him go. Syaoran laid there… dead.

Sakura stared helplessly. All of her friends… gone because of him. She was empty of feelings.

Diamond laughed. "It's a shame your friends can't join us."

Sakura still stood there.

`It's not enough pain. Maybe if I kill her brother and father, it will bring what I've been dreaming of for centuries!'

"Well, I will see you later." He said leaving.

Sakura sat there… motionless. "All of my friends… dead."

Tears came down her lips. "I can't let him do anymore losses. But what is he up to?"

All of the sudden, her mother's spirit came out of the sky.

"Mother."

"Hello Sakura, honey."

"Oh mom. He killed everyone. He killed Tea, Tomoyo, Joey,"

"And me." Interrupted Nadeshiko.

Sakura gasped. "What? He killed you?"

"I almost married him. He was a great guy, but when his brother got fame, jealousy got him. Evil took him over. I safely went to the future and met your father, and of course, married him. But he followed me there and killed me."

"Why?"

"He found out about me and killed me. Since I left him, he became mad. Before I died, I told your father to tell you that I died because I was sick. I didn't want you to know."

"Oh."

"He wants to kill you father and brother! You must stop him!"

"What?"

"Too late." Said Diamond. "I already killed them."

Sakura gasped. "NO!"

"Hello Nadeshiko. How nice to see you again?"

"You monster! You killed them!" she disappeared.

"Now all that's left is you." He laughed.

Sakura took out the Hope Card. "I never used this card before, so I'm not sure."

"That thing? Yeah right. As your last request, I'll let you use it. It won't do you any good."

"All right." She prepared her wand.

Will the Hope Card bring everyone back? Or will it fail? It all hangs on to Sakura's life! Don't miss the next chapter!
