Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ A Walk Through the Past ❯ After the Rain ( Chapter 1 )

Maddison, Li, and Sakura were sitting down in Maddison's living room as the heavy rain hit the window. Kero was sleeping on a small pillow in Sakura's lap. They were all as tired as he was but managed to stay awake after the battle they had just fought with the Thunder Card.

All week it had been raining so this had cancelled Sakura and Li's plans for a picnic in a park. They planned to spend it under a cherry blossom tree were they carved S.&L. 4ever in a big heart on the trunk of the tree.

On Monday, Sakura rushed down the stairs to get her bag and lunch, and say good-bye to her dad, but he wasn't there so she thought he had left for work already. No one was home but Sakura, not even Kero, so she made her way out the door. She was anxious to get to school because it was so nice outside. As the wind gently brushed through her hair, buds from the sweet smelling trees floated softly to the ground. The cheery blossoms were in bloom. Warmth from the sun shown brightly down on Sakura as she approached school.

Walking slowly down the hallway, she looked out the window. "What a beautiful day." she said to herself. Strolling towards the classroom door, she didn't notice that there wasn't the usual morning rush. In fact there was no one in the hallway standing by his or her lockers when the bell rang. That's when Sakura figured something was up. When she reached for the doorknob a surprise waited for her at the other end of the door.
