Author's Notes:
Based on a sweet movie "Pyaar to hona hi tha" ^_^. I'm not really an Eriol+Tomoyo fan, but I had to write this story >_<. The movie intrigued me and I just HAD to write it down. -_-' So not much of the plot will be THAT original. And the couple in the movie just gave me the idea to write an Eriol+Tomoyo fic. I hope I'm not really messing with anyone... even though I adore both sides: the yaoi ::swoons:: and the non-yaoi ::swoons:: Ahem... anyways, hope those E+T fans won't kill me ::cowers:: It's my first story with E+T in the main.

Chapter 1:
~Sunday~
An engagement party is being held. A party that never seemed to have the most wonderful events of good prosperity. They attended the party because of Mr. Kinomoto's stature and money. Rich folks always seem to have the greatest food after all.
The dancing room was filled with honorary guests and some unknown folks. People were laughing and chatting away.
"And what kind of gift are you going to give to Tomoyo?" Mr. Kinomoto asked a fine-dressed young man, Alex (1). Mr. Kinomoto, the guardian of Tomoyo, was having a conversation with the soon-to-be husband of his 'daughter'. It seemed those two love each other dearly, he'd always thought. He wanted his 'daughter' to be happy after all and Alex seemed to be the perfect candidate. His charms, his gentlemanly ways and his calm stature. Just someone 100% perfect and perfect meant... a good combination with his sweet 'daughter'.
"I can't tell you that, Mr. Kinomoto. It's a surprise..." Alex smiled briefly and took a sip from his wine glass. Beautiful slender structure of glass and Mr. Kinomoto's own pick just for important events like these.
"Yes... I see. Well, I trust you're going to make her happy with it..." Mr. Kinomoto trailed off as he spotted someone familiar.
Dark gray (2), curled hair... Tomoyo was like a star at the party, Mr. Kinomoto thought. She was pretty in her own way. She didn't wear those puffy frilly dresses, just a pair of jeans and a clean blouse. Her hair was pulled back up in a high ponytail.
A lot of her guests despised her desperately, strange behaviour. They shot her glares or any negative glances, showing their hatred to the girl. They were jealous of her for being the lucky one to get Alex, the prince charming of their dreams. They all agreed that just because she was one rich girl, Alex was pining over her.
Tomoyo seemed oblivious to their raging emotions and stepped into the dancing room. She had a big smile plaster on her face. As always she's cheerful, nothing can let her smile falter for that day was her engagement.
Before she knew it, she fell smack on to the carpeted floor. She had tripped over her own feet (3) or was it the carpet?
"Tomoyo!" Both Mr. Kinomoto and Alex called out. They rushed to the girl as the guests began to stifle their giggles in. What a klutz, they all agreed on that comment. The beautiful ladies glanced at her distastefully... why the hell did Alex choose her over them?!
"Are you all right, Tomoyo?" Mr. Kinomoto helped the girl on her feet. Her smile disappeared. The stinging in her nose and her throat rushed out. She wanted to cry in embarrassment. //How embarrassing...// She hid her face behind her hands and let her throat cry out softly... even though her eyes weren't ready to water. And also even through crying won't help her out of the past event. What's done is done.
"Don't cry, darling. Please don't cry. It was the carpet. You only tripped over the carpet. Don't cry..." Alex soothed and rubbed circles on her back to calm her down.
"I... I'm... I'm so...sorry..." Tomoyo stammered and couldn't find the words. It's almost like a habit. She couldn't think straight if anything embarrassing happened to her, which is almost every time when her 'father' was holding a ball. People seem to stick to stereotypes and picked her out as the most klutzes, richest and snobbiest girl of the whole Universe. She ended up growing up lonely, without any good friends. No one really knew how horrible she felt being so left out.
"I'm fine, dad" She said to her guardian, Mr. Kinomoto and pulled herself out of their grasps. It was evident they're concerned of her. She knew something bad would happen that day. It's like a curse on her. As if she was the black sheep. The truly weird one.
Alex took out something from his pockets and waved them in front of her face. "Surprise" He smiled. "We're going on a holiday to Japan (4)" Tomoyo's eyes widened as she looked at the tickets in front of her. She grabbed the tickets swiftly and peered into them. "Japan! I've always dreamed of going there! This is the most wonderful gift you've ever given me, Alex!" Tomoyo cheered and threw her arms open in a wide arc, expressing her happiness. Although she'd forgotten she was still in a crowded ballroom, she'd slammed into Alex when she'd opened her arms. He was pushed backwards by the sudden blow and fell onto a chair. The chair eventually gave away and dropped backwards, letting Alex land on his back. Groaning, he stared heavily at his soon-to-be wife.
"Oops" Tomoyo apologized quickly as she got more distasteful glares from the guests. "Sorry"
*.*.*.*.*
It was the day of their departure. Saturday... the skies were beautiful and clear. A fine day to head through the sky. Both Tomoyo and Alex were boarded in the plane. For a first timer, Tomoyo was definitely not into the strange surroundings. Especially since she'd never left her sweet ground before. Now it's her first time to just fly. Fly between the clouds. A nice thought, but a fear rose up in her chest.
Alex noticed Tomoyo was tensing. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped her chair tightly. Even though the passengers were still boarding the plane, Tomoyo felt like a scared little rabbit. The plane hadn't even moved one bit, as she got worried about the outcome of her trip. "Oh, gosh! Oh, gosh. I can't believe I'm still doing this... I can't believe it..." she whimpered and pinched her eyes closed. Maybe she'd watched too much of those American movies, yeah maybe...
"Just relax, darling. Relax. We haven't even left the ground yet. Everything is going to be all right" Alex assured her as he laid one hand on her shoulder to show comfort. She calmed down a little and took a few sharp breaths. If she wanted to have a great holiday with her soon-to-be husband, she had to overcome this fear.
"Please take your seats, ladies and gentlemen. We're about to take off..." One of the pilots announced through the intercom. The giant motors began to make heavy noises. They had to warm up and work perfectly before taking off. Tomoyo gasped and gripped on to her chair tightly. Everyone was seated calmly on their respected places as they put on their seatbelts. "Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god..." she chanted out disbelievingly. The heavy block on her chest was getting heavier as her fear was coming near.
The plane began to move slowly over the road (5). The pilots are trying to speed up, as usual the plane needed a lot of speed to take off.
Tomoyo shrunk deeper into her seat as she clawed her chair. "Oh my god. Oh my god. It's coming... it's coming... I'm not afraid... I'm not afraid... I'll be in Japan..." she chanted out a lot of sentences which made no sense to Alex. "Calm down, darling. Before you know it we're up in the sky" Alex tried to assure her again.
She began to panic... the unfamiliar feeling of lifting off made her gasp even more. She felt her feet going up without moving... the ground was gone. Heavy air strained their ways on her chest as she felt the plane digging through the wind just to take off. She couldn't resist anymore and shrieked.
"NO! STOP THE PLANE! I WANT TO GET DOWN. I WANT TO GET DOWN!" Her panic rose quickly as she pushed herself away from her chair, unbuckling her seatbelt. She ran down the way through the seats, bypassing stewardesses and slammed herself on to the big door (6). The door that lead her into the plane. Her screams didn't much help as she knocked harder on the door, hoping that someone would open for her.
Five stewardesses surrounded her and pulled her away from the door. "Please, miss. You have to take your place again. The plane is still in the air" one of the stewardesses said as she tried to motion the young miss back to her seat. "No! You don't understand! I want to get down! I don't want to be on this plane! Let it land! I will not stay in here one minute longer!" her voice was practically a mixture of frustration, anger and panic. Her voice also sounded like an order, even though she wasn't used to her rising voice tone. "I'll sue this plane and it's organization!"
"Captain, we should land right away. There's a lady here who wants to get off quickly" one of the stewards called.
Not long afterwards Tomoyo was dropped off on the ground. She waved sadly to the plane and it's passengers. Maybe she'll get much better luck staying on the ground and traveling on it anyways. She'll sure miss Alex. She felt guilty for leaving him on the plane, alone and letting him go all the way to Japan. "I guess if you come back you can tell me all about your wonderful adventures there" Tomoyo sighed sadly and dropped her arms to her sides. "Great! Another weakness to handle. I can't stand staying away from my beloved earth"
*.*.*.*.*
Tomoyo went to Mr. Kinomoto's office every day. Now that Alex wasn't around her anymore, everything seemed to be so boring. "I wish I could be there beside Alex" Tomoyo sulked and leaned against the table. "Don't worry about it, Tomoyo. Maybe you weren't ready for today... maybe next time you two can have a real holiday. I know Alex wouldn't mind" Mr. Kinomoto offered.
Tomoyo smiled at her guardian. "Then I'll be ready!" her smile faltered as she looked at the phone. "He should be calling me right now..." she sulked again as she hoped to hear the phone ring.
Speak of the devil! The phone rang and Tomoyo's eyes widened. Maybe her prayers had been answered. She beamed at her guardian and picked up the phone.
"Hello."
"Hello, Tomoyo. It's me Alex"
"Alex!" Tomoyo practically shouted out. She was very comfortable with calling his name out, it just sounded right in her heart. But sometimes she wondered if Alex really felt the same twinge in his heart... for her that is. "How are you? Why haven't you called?"
"I'm quite fine. Japan is a great place. Lots of great people. I wish you could come along... I'm sorry, honey something has come up. Aa... got to go, my guide is waiting for me. Bye!"
"Please call me next time so that I don't have to worry so much"
"I will. I miss you, darling"
"I miss you too" Tomoyo's eyes began to tear as Mr. Kinomoto just sighed. He shook his head in disapproval and muttered, "Kids these days"
"Well, have to go. Bye. Lots and lots of kisses for you my sweet"
"... bye..."
That's where the conversation ended. He hung up and she gripped the phone possessively. "He misses me" Tomoyo sighed heavenly (7). "Yes... yes, I can see that he does. So what are you going to do?" Mr. Kinomoto asked.
"I wish I can be there by his side" Tomoyo sighed dreamily as she swung the phone around.
"You said that already" Mr. Kinomoto chuckled.
"I did? Oh... If I was by his side I want to dance with him the whole night. Under the moonlight... in one of those beautiful pearl-colored dresses... I wish I wasn't so scared..." Tomoyo suddenly slammed the phone against a glass of water. The content fell onto some of Mr. Kinomoto's papers. He was shocked while she looked guilty. "I'm sorry" she squeaked out softly.
*.*.*.*.*
"When is he calling... when is he calling me..." Tomoyo asked herself as she paced up and down in her living room. Her neighbour, Sakura, watched her walk to one side to another. Sakura sighed and shook her head. "Why didn't you go along with him?" Sakura stopped Tomoyo's chanting abruptly. Tomoyo blinked a few times and looked at her neighbour. "Huh? Oh... I kind of fear planes..." Tomoyo said as she tried to hid her blush.
"Do you really love him THAT much?" Sakura asked her neighbour. Tomoyo got the far away look again and smiled dreamily. "Yes... I really do"
"But he's your first crush... now that he's away on his own, who knows if he's going to cheat on you" Sakura pointed out as she took a sip from her cup of tea.
Tomoyo's eyes hardened and clenched her fists. "I know he loves me too. He misses me! He'll never dare to cheat on me... I trust him with all my heart..."
The phone rang and Tomoyo's heart jumped. She quickly went for the phone. Sakura shook her head again and mumbled, "Sometimes I doubt your hopes"
Tomoyo didn't hear Sakura saying that. She was so caught up on her phone.
"Hello"
"H'llo, Tomoyo?" Alex said in a dreamy voice.
"Alex! Why didn't you call me? You promised!" Tomoyo chastised him, ignoring the dreaminess in his voice.
"Had too much fun here... wish you could join me..." Alex sulked in his trance-like voice.
"Aww... you're so sweet. I also wish I could join you" Tomoyo smiled as she gripped the receiver tightly.
"When are... ya g'ing to come?"
"Maybe next time, Alex..."
"Honey... are you done yet?" Tomoyo stiffened when she heard the background voice. //Must be my imagination...// She shook her head.
"One sec, honey" Alex called dreamily.
Tomoyo's eyes widened when he heard Alex saying that. Her heart began to pound harder against her chest. Was he really cheating on her? After all she's his soon-to-be wife, right? He was in love with her, right?
Before she knew it Alex had hung up without saying good-bye. Tomoyo stared blankly at the receiver.
"What's wrong?" Sakura asked as she looked at Tomoyo.
Tomoyo's eyes flared and she hardened her grip. "WHO THE HELL DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?!" Tomoyo practically swore and slammed the receiver back to the phone.
"T-t-tomoyo..." Sakura shifted uncomfortably. A big sweatdrop was plastered above her head. She'd never seen the calm and nice Tomoyo swear or even blow up. Now she knows she have to try not to go to that bad side of Tomoyo's, because she was way too scary. Tomoyo's beautiful purple eyes were raging with fire in front of her.
"I'LL BOOK THE NEXT FLIGHT TO JAPAN!" Tomoyo said determinately.
"Hoe..." Sakura remarked nervously.
*.*.*.*.*
Tomoyo was on the plane as she looked away when stewardesses passed her seat. She used her long flowing hair to cover most of her face. She didn't want anyone to recognize her, to recognize the freaking lady who was acting so hysterical.
"Do you want some peanuts or cookies, miss..." the stewardess trailed off as she studied the lady she was waiting on. Tomoyo turned her face to the sides, cowering behind her thick, flowing hair. "Uhm... the cookies will do" Tomoyo said nervously as she picked out one of the packages quickly.
"Have I seen you before, miss?" the stewardess asked uncertainly. Tomoyo's stomach fell as she groaned inwardly. So they kind of noticed her boarding ticket. "No... no... never. What makes you say that?" She said quickly, trying to dodge the suspicious looks she was getting from the stewardess.
"Really? I mean... you really look a lot like the lady who wanted to go out of the plane when we were in the air" The stewardess said in uncertainty again. //Please go away. Please go away. Go away// Tomoyo chanted in her thoughts as she clawed at her seat.
Luckily something distracted the stewardess critical eye. She quickly made her way towards the entrance door, where all passengers came in.
"I SAID I LOST THE LAST FLIGHT AND NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE FAST! MY WORK DEPENDS ON ME" the stewardesses were having problems with one of the passengers... a very unsatisfied passenger.
"But sir, you've to get off right now... you don't have..." one of the stewardesses countered bravely.
"NO! Didn't you hear what I just said?! I need to get on this plane! My ticket has already been checked out! Just let me on this plane" the passenger said.
The stewardess who had been talking to Tomoyo walked up to the bold passenger. Tomoyo go curious and looked over the other seats to see what's the problem.
Some guy dressed in a leather jacket was giving the stewardesses a hard time to argue. Tomoyo just shook her head exasperatedly. "Hoodlums"
"Please sir... keep it down. We'll give you one of our spare seats. Is that all right with you, sir?" the stewardess (who'd been talking to Tomoyo) said.
"Fine. Where is this seat?" The passenger grunted.
"Right there, sir" The stewardess pointed at Tomoyo's direction. The guy turned around, revealing a tousled-dark blue-haired guy with a mustache. His black eyes scanned the seats and stared right at Tomoyo.
She stiffened instantly and held in a sharp breath. //Oh god...// She looked at the seat next to her and it hit her. There wasn't anyone sitting next to her. Even though the plane was about to take off, she knew no one was going to sit next to her. And great... now a hoodlum is getting a chance. She quickly broke their gazes and sunk into her seat. //Gods... what am I going to do? What if he'll try to do... something to me?//
The guy in the leather jacket made his way to his seat, next to the 'nice' and nervous lady. On his way to his seat, he smacked someone in the head. Tomoyo flinched and tried to look away. The 'hoodlum' dumped his bag in one of those cases above their heads and collapsed on to his seat, in a not-so-gentlemanly way.
Tomoyo sunk deeper into her chair as she gripped onto it tightly as if her life depended on it.
The guy next to her eyed her warily and he took out a cigarette box.

1: ::cowers from E+T fans:: ;_; I really assure you it's going to stay an E+T story. Please don't run away.
2: I can't tell what's her hair colour ;_; it always seems to be changing.
3: ::cowers again:: I've warned you... it's another OOC. No, I really don't want to make her THAT clumsy. This is just a small hint of the major OOC. So please don't go away.
4: A very lame excuse indeed -_-' I've changed the country so that she could go to her native country.
5: What are they called anyways?
6: What's it called?
7: Did I tell you this is quite one major OOC story? Anyways Tomoyo is supposed to be a little lovesick, but as the story goes on I promise she's not a klutz or anything negative. She's just loyal.
So who's the mustached guy?

Author's Notes:
1: ::cowers from E+T fans:: ;_; I really assure you it's going to stay an E+T story. Please don't run away.
