I am a sick, sick authoress, and I'm proud of it! *Coughs*
Anyways, this will have shonen-ai (Yue x Syaoran) in it
Chapter 3

Several days had passed without incident. Syaoran washed dishes, Yue cooked, Syaoran swept floors, and Yue waited on tables…
However, perhaps a week after Syaoran had failed to send them back, something happened.
It was the barest flash of white feather for an instant, but Syaoran nearly dropped the tray he was holding.
That was… Yue's illusion had just slipped!
What was going on?
He waited until the tavern/cook shop had mostly emptied after the midday rush and then found Yue.
“Yue-san… what's going on?”
“My magic is weakening, Clow's descendent. I have no Master to support me, and Clow only left me enough to administer the Judgment…”
Oh no! And if Yue ran out of magic, he would vanish! That was what would happen… Syaoran stared at the guardian in terror. “Can I… is there anything I can do?”
“I doubt it.” Yue shook his head. “I only hope Return activates before the situation becomes dire.”
“I'll… I'll give you my magic then!”
Yue stared at Syaoran in disbelief. “Clow's descendant…”
“I will! Just tell me what I need to do!” He pleaded. * It's my fault… * He paid no heed to the people around them, just stared into Yue's silver eyes and pleaded silently. * Even if it costs my life, I will… *

When he first saw Clow's descendent, he'd expected a spoiled brat, honestly, but now, after this… true, the boy made mistakes, but he was more than willing to atone for them. It was… unsettling.
“Please…” Syaoran whispered, his eyes bright with tears. If Yue died, Yukito would die too…
Yue sighed. Who was he to go against this? He wished to live, and if the boy were offering himself, then…
“This will be painful.” He warned.
Syaoran's eyes hardened with resolve. “I do not care.”
“Brave words, Clow's descendant… I hope you will have no cause to regret them.” With that, he placed his hands on the boy's shoulders, and concentrated…
Syaoran bit back a gasp of pain - it felt as if he were being split apart, but he gritted his teeth and tried his best to hold on, despite the tears of pain gathering in his eyes… his teeth were cutting into his lower lip, but he vowed not to scream…
It hurt!
The last trails of magic made their way down Yue's arms, before the boy collapsed. Yue silently picked him up and carried him upstairs, tucking him to bed.
Brave… and interesting, too, how the moon magic felt so… right. It seemed so much like Clow's…
Perhaps this Syaoran Li was a direct descendant?

Syaoran slept for an entire day after the ordeal but he was still young, and his magic could grow as long as he ate and rested well… the marks would remain though…
It was quite different for the moon guardian. It was a pity that the moon reflected light instead of making its own… this was one aspect where he envied his brother Cerberus. No matter. The magic he had taken from the descendant would enable him to last at least three more weeks, before he needed more.
Pity… pity that this had occurred…
Nothing had gone according to plan. He had planned to swiftly defeat the Candidate and then return to his slumber within the Clow Book, but it seems that his plans had been thwarted…
How long would the spell last? Surely the boy was not that powerful?
Syaoran woke up the next morning, feeling the beginnings of a migraine headache, but otherwise fine. He was surprised though, to find a note from Yue written in Chinese.
“Clow's descendant, you need to rest. Vanora has allowed you two days off of work, as I told her you had a fever. Stay in bed and drink plenty of fluids.”
… It was rather odd of Yue to be so… caring. Syaoran poured himself some milk from the pitcher on the bed stand, drank it, and then fell back asleep.
He slept fitfully for the rest of the two days, and on the third, Yue woke him from a magical coma. His magic levels were almost back to normal…
“How are you feeling?”
“I'm fine, Yue-san.”
Yue gave him a sideways glance before nodding. “It seems to have sufficed, as my weakness has passed. Back to work then.”
“I know.”
And he went back to the dishes and sweeping…
This life sucked. He wanted to go home…
Even if he had to face the Final Judgment, so be it! Now at least he knew not to use Time… it would rebound on him… but would any of his other cards do?
Freeze… Storm… Cloud… those were all moon-based… Dream as well…
Perhaps Dash?

He sighed. Now was not the time to be thinking of these things. Yue was in danger of disappearing…!
It was his fault. Again. He, who had prided himself on his knowledge of the Clow, had made such a blunder. It stung him to the core.
However, he wouldn't tell. Yue wouldn't care, and already he was trying to atone for his sins… in any way possible… he deserved this pain…
I'm so sorry… I'm such a failure…
This is my fault…

They passed the days in uneasy silence, but two weeks later, Yue came to him again. He didn't say a word, as the guardian drained him and he once again fell into slumber…
He needed to keep Yue alive! Otherwise… otherwise Yukito would die… and then… and then his heart would break.
But did being in love with Yukito equate being in love with Yue? He wasn't sure… but…
Yue was beautiful, and cold, like the moon… so… maybe he was?
Perhaps there was some reason for it. After all, Yue had been asleep until the Final Judgment. Perhaps… he felt sad?
Did guardians have emotions? Cerberus certainly did…
Well, in that case, he'd try to keep Yue alive and make him happy at the same time… after all… they wouldn't be here if he hadn't used Return.
Why hadn't the card's magic worn off yet?
It didn't matter. He would do his best while he was here.
He would manage. Somehow…
I promise…

“Hey! Another Beer!”
He smiled as he carried the tray over. The knights had once again returned, after a long few months of scouting…
It didn't matter. He'd live with the consequences.
Perhaps… when they returned to Tomoeda, no time would have passed? That would make sense. Sakura had been unchanged upon her return from Return…
Until then, he would try his best…
