Destinies

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT and repeat NOT own Card Captor Sakura. It's a lovely anime show that I watch only. And it's creators are Clamp. No matter how badly I wish I was one of them, I'm not, so it's not mine. BUT if you take my story theme/plot, I will have to do some major bashing!! I worked really hard to write this story.

Author Notes: Here it is everyone! It's the parts after For the Sake of Friendship!! It'll be chaptered from this moment on until it's completely over. I know I said I wouldn't write a sequel, but I don't really consider this a sequel...since I'm not going to connect it to that and it will have it's own chapters to go with it. But it does use the storyline from that ficcie. Anyway, two years have passed. See what's changed and what's happened. I hope you enjoy!!

Chapter 1: The English Soccer Coach

Coming out the airport, Tomoyo stretched her arms wearily, but with a huge grin. "Ah, fresh England air..." She picked up her bags and gathered in all of her surroundings before continuing. She had been to England before, but only with her mother on a business trip during the summer. She had also really loved it there.

Walking out of the airport, Tomoyo was taken aback by the gusts of wind that blew her hair furiously. Everyone before her was busily chattering away or trying to find a way out of the airport. Dragging her luggage behind her, Tomoyo finally found an empty cab.

"Where to ma'am?" asked the cab driver politely.

Tomoyo beamed at him. "Well, I guess you can drop me off at the Majestic Inn since that's where I'll be spending my nights in England."

"Sure thing..." he replied before driving off.

It was a long 30 minute ride before he finally announced that she was at her destination. She nodded thankfully and handed him the money. With her bags behind her, Tomoyo walked into the inn. Because her leg fell asleep while in the cab, she was limping half way inside.

"Ah, you must be Miss Tomoyo Daidouji," the bellboy said calmly with a smile.

Tomoyo nodded. "Yes..."

"Well then Miss Daidouji, shall I show you to your room?" he asked again.

Tomoyo smiled, her sleeping leg finally becoming regular again. "Yes. Thank you very much. I'd really appreciate it if you did." For the past two years, Tomoyo had been learning English, so she was quite good with it now.

After showing her to her room, the bellboy silently left Tomoyo's room. In being alone, Tomoyo decided upon relaxing herself. "Hm...a nice warm shower should do the trick..."

After 45 minutes in the shower, Tomoyo finally stepped out. "Well, that's much better!" She plopped onto her bed happily, accidentally turning on the television.

"Not surprising in the news, the Majestic Moons boy soccer team once again has made it into the world championships. A miracle you might call it, but all thanks goes to only one man...and as everyone calls him, The English Soccer Coach... This Saturday, we'll be interviewing this great coach just before their big world championships right here in London, England!"

Tomoyo raised a curious brow. "I sure don't remember English people loving soccer this much...? Whoever got them this far must be a really great coach..." Tomoyo sighed, turning off the television screen. "Now...I think I'll go for a walk for a while..."

She grabbed her jacket and slipped on her shoes before shutting the door behind her. Getting outside of the inn, she turned towards the park and started humming one of her favorite Japanese tunes. All the way to the park, Tomoyo hummed blissfully to herself and smiled at everyone who passed by.

The park was quite an interesting sight to Tomoyo. It was crowded with at least 75 people. Of course, they were all gathered around a large field, soccer field to be precise, awing at whoever was in the center. Tomoyo sighed, concluding that she wouldn't ever get the chance to meet whoever this person was, more likely, even see this person. Looking up once more to try and catch one glance at the well-liked person, Tomoyo spotted something. "It...can't...be...?"

It was only a quick flash, but she was sure of it, well, not 100 percent sure. His dark blue hair stood out from the center and his glinting azure eyes were far to familiar, especially under that wire-rimmed glasses he wore.

Tomoyo blinked once more, but he wasn't there anymore. Instead, it was a blacked haired man with bright brown eyes. And it seemed as though he was trying to calm the crowd. "People! People! This is the boys' soccer practice! If you don't leave now, we'll have to cancel it!"

It was hopeless because not a single person moved an inch. The crowd merely grew more wild and began to shove towards the soccer players and coach(es). The man sighed and signaled someone outside of the bundle. Within a minute, there was a large walkway opened and the team, as well as the black and blue haired man, quickly dashed onto the bus and it drove off.

"Nani? It couldn't be him...it just couldn't..." Tomoyo whispered quietly as the crowd began to chase the bus away. "Besides, Eriol-kun doesn't like it when he gets chased around..."

Tomoyo stepped back, bumping into a brown haired man with a pair of light carroty eyes. "I'm sorry! I should've been watching where I was going..."

"No, no, it's okay really. But do you really know the great Eriol Hiiragizawa?" he replied with a smile.

Tomoyo nodded. "Yeah, we were childhood friends..."

"Really? Wow! We don't know much about his past at all! He doesn't seem to like to talk about it," he replied. "Oh, I should introduce myself. I'm Harold Gray. I'm 21 years old and attending college at the University. Even though Eriol is a few months younger than me, I still adore him!"

"You know where he lives now?" Tomoyo asked out of curiosity.

Harold's face quickly became surprised. "What? Don't tell me you don't know who the great Eriol is?! I thought you were his childhood friend?"

"We were!" Tomoyo replied in defense.

Harold smiled, taking a step back. "Well, I suppose it must've been a few years ago since he's left you...not to mention he's never said a word about his friends...anyway, if you don't already know, Eriol Hiiragizawa is the..."

"HAROLD!!" shrieked a blonde headed man. "Come on dude! Let's get going!"

Harold turned to Tomoyo with a sigh. "Ah, oh well...you'll find out soon anyway. Mike and I are going to see the world championship practices."

"Oh, okay then..." Tomoyo replied as Harold left in a hurry towards his buddy. "Could that have really been Eriol-kun? I have seen other men who looked just like him though..."

Tomoyo shrugged off her thoughts and continued walking towards the pond in the center of the park.

"Coach!" shouted Ryosuke, the captain of the team. "We're ready when you are!"

The blue haired man walked up to the boys with the blacked haired man beside him. "Okay guys, this will be our second year running for the world championships. I don't want to over work anyone or put pressure on anyone. Soccer is a sport, so all I want from everyone is for them to have fun."

The blacked haired man stared at him curiously. "But you are going to make them practice like usual right?"

"Of course I will. I mean, I consider this just like any normal game," replied the head coach.

All of the boys cheered happily. "Yeah!!" After they quieted down, Ryosuke stepped forward. "But Coach Hiiragizawa, we want to win. We don't want to disappoint you. I mean, ever since you became our coach two years ago, we've been on a winning streak."

"Arigato Ryosuke, but I want you boys to have fun all right? No pressure...so, let's start practice!!"

Everyone ran onto the field. "All right! Defense get in position! Offense get ready!!" Ryosuke commanded. Everyone quickly ran into position.

"Eriol, why is it that you're always so calm when it comes to these things?" asked Nathan, the assistant head coach.

Eriol turned to him with a smile. "I'm quite used to it. Back in my high school days, before I had home schooling, my team always went to the world championships."

"Oh..." he replied. He turned towards Eriol again. "I've been wondering. Since we've met, we've been friends, but you've never told me anything about your past. You've never mentioned any past females you really liked...or anything..."

Eriol stood frozen in fear. His heart had longed to forget in past, but it was never able to do it. He cleared his throat, trying to find something to say. "There was no one..."

To be continued...

Sorry it was so short...this is more like a prologue than a chapter. Well, chapter 2, I'm hoping, will be longer than this chapter. I hope you liked it. Please tell me what you thought though. I'd really appreciate it if you did too.
