Somewhere out there

There was a deep long silence, the radio was drowning on and on. A tired looking Syaoran bobbed his head up and down falling asleep with the beat of the music. The bus groaned making Syaoran pop out of a dream. He looked at the clock it read 3:00 a.m. He searched the bus; he found all three of his passengers sleeping on each other's shoulders. Syaoran having a sudden flashback.

*****Syaoran's Flashback*****

It was a warm summer day, and Li Syaoran was sitting in the flower field that surrounds Tomoeda. The soft image of Sakura Kinomoto sleeping beside him, leaning on a cheery blossom tree, her body slowly moving as she breathed.

Younger Syaoran (who is about ten): (whispering softly to Sakura) just sleep my cheery blossom. Sleep, I'll protect you from any harm.

Cheery blossoms begin to float everywhere making the flower field look like a pink winter wonderland; And Syaoran drifts off to sleep, next to the love of his life.

*****End of Syaoran's Flashback*****

Syaoran looking around to make sure that nobody was awake to see him cry, he sees Sammy's eyes begin to twitch, he suddenly jerked his head out of her sight.

Sammy: (mumbling) Are you still awake? Wow, I'm going to sleep, night Syaoran.

Sammy tried to escape the head on her shoulder but couldn't. She jerked up only to find that Mel wasn't the only one on her shoulder, Chris was leaning on Mia's shoulder forcing Sammy to stay down.

Sammy: Can you help me? Mia is light, but man is Chris heavy. (Struggles even more) Hurry!

Syaoran: (Shuts the engine off in a rush) O.k. Just hold on. Stay still, if you struggle then more weight will fall on you! (Slaps Chris on the face) Wake up man! You're crushing Sammy! Not to mention you are most likely crushing Mia!

Chris: (Hearing the comment suddenly jumps up, trying to not crush his friends, but his jump just made it worse) Ugg!

Mia feel to the floor, her body moving in a steady pace, her breath wasn't even caught short.

Sammy: (peering at Mia) So Ms. Whitewash was right, she can sleep through anything.

Chris: (looking at Sammy for help) Do we just lift her up, and take her to her bed? Well…it's not like we can wake her up.

Sammy: (snoring with laughter) Why not? I bet that she will fall asleep more than a few times! (More laughter, and then she feel to the ground, tears of laughter streaking her face)

Chris turned bright red, and looked at Sammy, knowing that she was way more serious then she seemed.

After they had heaved Mia into her bed they all sat down. Looking at each other they all burst into laughter. Then when Mia moved and mumbled, Sammy roared with laughter. Chris turned a brighter shade of red, making him looked like an oversized lobster without pinchers or claws.

Back in Tomoeda

Sakura had gotten tired of all the fuss of the townspeople and their talk of the guests that Tomoeda would be having. That she just walked away, and without anyone ever really noticing anything she didn't come back till it was near night time. Although Touya was upset with her for walking off he didn't argue with Sakura, it seemed as though he understood his little sister. But as usual the Mayor was making a huge mess out of nothing, he had come over to inspect the rooms that the `guests' would be staying in.

Nothing of that girl's things had been touched, no boxes had been opened, it was all nice and clean, hidden and kept a secret. A secret Sakura would end up really enjoying.

Out there but closer

Mia had gotten better and began to be more like the real Mia. Which in some cases was a good thing but it didn't help Chris or Syaoran very much considering that they were soon taught a lesson for messing with a tough chick who wasn't going to take crap from anyone, even a friend. Sammy was, of course, happy to join in, in messing with the guys, and just being girls.

So the trip went on as such and the girls and the guys just clicked and ended up becoming very close friends. It was something that Syaoran wasn't expecting at all.
