Full Summary: Sakura Kinomoto is a single mom, trying to raise her daughter, Meiko. When Sakura finds out her daughter has cancer, she finds out that she needs the father to help.

Chapter One: Questions, Where are the Answers?

It was raining outside the home of Sakura Kinomoto and her ten year-old daughter Meiko.

"Tae Kwon-do (A/N: Is that how you spell it?)

is cancelled today, mom," "Meiko told her mother as she stared outside the window of the living room.

"I know. Your instructor called me yesterday." Sakura paused. "You know, your Otou-san..." Sakura stopped.

"Nani?" her daughter eagerly pounced on the conversation.

"Oh...never mind," Sakura turned away.

"Moooommmmm," Meiko pleaded. "You never talk about him. At least tell me what he was like. Onegai? Onegai?"

"Fine, fine," Sakura sighed. I guess you could find out his personality. Okay, he was incredibly nice, really

protective. He was cute...and he knew me in Tomoeda Elementary," (A/N: They live in Tomoeda, peeps)Sakura finished quickly.

"But why did you seperate?" Meiko asked.

"I can't tell you anymore details unless I contact him. He derserves to know that I'm telling you about this," Sakura said.

"Please? Just tell me one little detail?"

"No," Sakura said firmly.

"Great. Now Meiko will keep on prodding you, and soon, she'll know everything!" Tomoyo Daidouji, Sakura's best friend and cousin said sarcastically after Sakura told her about the conversation she had with Meiko.

She was talking to Tomoyo on the phone.

"But what could I do? She's been asking for years now, and well, I just told her a little bit!" Sakura insisted.

"Yeah, well a little goes a long way," Tomoyo said.

"Tomoyo, I thought you'd be a little more sympathetic and helpful!" Sakura said.

"Well, I can't exactly forgive Meiko's father (A/N: Hehe, who is the father? I'm not gonna say until maybe the) for abandoning you!"

"He had more important things to do that could effect his future!"

"His future, or yours?" Tomoyo asked.

Sakura froze.

"Maybe Meiko should know w-when she's older," she said slowly.

"What were you saying about me, mom?" Meiko said from behind Sakura.

Sakura spun around.

"Nani? What are you doing here, Meiko?"

"I wanted some money for the ice cream cart! It's stopped raining," said Meiko.

"Okay, get some money in my purse."

As Meiko was getting the money, Sakura whispered in the phone, "She takes after her father. Sneaky and devious!"
