A Guest to Stay
Walking up to the bedrooms, thoughts formed in his mind. (It was her…I should have known from the beginning. But of course I can't go and kill her there and now. This place is practically full of guards and maids. I better watch my step while I'm here. Now, were is MY room?) Looking around the large hall filled with over 20 doors, he sweat-dropped. "Where the hell am I'm supposed to look?" mumbling to himself. (How about this one?) Putting his hand on the handle, he opened the door. Looking into the thin crack, he saw a large lavender color bed and frilly pillows. Taking a step inside, he saw a shelf of silky clothing materials and needle works. "Must be a girl's room. But I thought there are only her and her maids. So whose room is this?" He heard the door creak behind him and then a loud shriek.
"Ekkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk……….guards! Guards! Sakura-chan! Touya-kun! Fujitaka-san!! There's a burglar in my room!!!!!!!" a girl with amethyst eyes and long violet braided hair dressed in a nightgown shouted. Plugging his ears from all the yelling, he shouted. "Shut up will you! I'm not a thief!" The girl stopped shouting for help and instead shouted at Syaoran.
"You TELL ME to SHUT UP?" she pointed accusingly at him. "How dare you! You don't have a clue who you are talking to, do you Mister-I-Can-Swear?!" Seeing the fire in her eyes, Syaoran backed off like a little puppy. Taking a deep gulp, he looked up with frightening eyes and shook his head. "I am the queen's cousin, you impudent guy! If I tell her that you were in here, then," With her hand she made a threatening motion on his head. "Just like that and you are dead." Fast and loud foot steps were heard from the hall and 3 people merged into the room. "Tomoyo-chan, I heard you scream. Where's the thief?" Sakura said with her staff out and ready for action. Looking at the cowering Syaoran and maddened Tomoyo, she laughed out loud. Glaring at her cousin, she asked, "What's so funny, Sakura-chan?"
"You…yelled just be…because of him?" she said through giggles.
"Why not? I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE WHO HE IS!"
Taking a deep breath to calm her laughter, she said, "Oh…yeah. I kinda forgot. He's an unwanted guest from the outside. He wants to know about the deaths of the outsiders and the hidden jewel."
With a gasp, Tomoyo said "Do you mean…" She stopped abruptly when she saw the sharp glare from Sakura and kept her mouth shut.
"Now to business, Tomoyo, meet the most weakest `king' of the Li Clan, Li Syaoran."
With a sweep of her hand, she pointed to the guy that was still in the room.
"Li Syaoran, meet my dearest cousin, Daidouji Tomoyo. And don't you dare to steal…if you do then," raising her staff into neck level and slit a bit of her pearl skin, leaving red drops of blood on the satin gown.
"Your death would be much more painful."
"But…." He started.
"But what? Unless you are totally stupid and don't know what I just mean, I meant GET OUT!" she went behind him and kicked Syaoran out of the room.
"But I don't even know where I sleep!" he shouted outside.
"Arg! Are boys really that dumb or are they just plain stupid?" Sakura said with frustration. Tomoyo, giggling said goodnight and went into her room. Syaoran, with a cool laid back attitude looked at Sakura.
"Well?" Syaoran asked.
"Well what?" Sakura said grouchily.
"Aren't you going to show me where I'm gonna sleep? Unless you want me to sleep in your room…" he said slyly. Bonking on his head with her staff, she called for a maid. "Show this hentai boy where he sleeps. It's the 5th door to the left wing." "Hai, Mistress-sama. This way."

After about 10 minutes of walking
"Your room sir." Opening the door, he walked in. The maid went to pull open the curtain and windows revealing a starry backdrop of the city. Examining the room with sharp eyes, he saw that the room was fair large with snowflake wallpaper.
"Miss…."
"Sasaki Rika"
"Miss Rika, umm…. may I ask a question of your mistress?"
"What may I ask?"
"Is she always like this? I mean, cold and warm?" with curiosity in his voice.
Looking at him with a sad expression, Rika replied, "No, Sakura-chan is not always like this. Only to outsiders. Outside, she is a piece of unbreakable ice. But when you look deeper, she has a light of sparkling warmth. Well, goodnight sir and sleep well. If you would need anything, just pull the bell rope next to your bed and one of the night maids would full in your need." With a bow, Rika left Syaoran in his thoughts and dreams.

Next morning
RINNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG…..RINNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG. Knocking her alarm clock with her hand to the floor, she sat up. Hearing a few knocks from her door, she told them to come in. "Sakura-chan, wake up." Said Mihara Chiharu. Pulling the pink curtains back, the bright rays of sunlight lit up the dull black and white room. Jumping out of her bed, she went into the bathroom to get ready for breakfast.
"Chiharu, tell Yakamazi-kun to wake up the guest. If he starts telling one of his fables, just let him. Kay?" Sakura said through the door.
Giggling, Chiharu said, "Of course."
*******
Waking up with a start from the knocking outside of his room, he went to answer it.
"Who is it?" he said rubbing his sleepy eyes.
"Good morning sir. I'm your servant. You would have to wake up now because the Mistress is expecting you down stairs for breakfast." Said Yakamazi Takashi.
"Eh? At this time? It's only 7 in the morning!" He exclaimed after looking at the grandfather clock in the corner of the bedroom.
"Yea, I know this is a drag but Sakura-san is an early bird and so is her family." Takashi said. "Why don't I get you a nice hot bath ready next door and you can then get dressed and ready for breakfast?" walking to the connected bathroom, he started the water.
"Uh…okay. Thanks Yakamazi-san." He said puzzled.

In the dinning hall
Descending from the stairs, he entered the grand room. Taking a seat next to Touya, he saw some unfamiliar faces at the table. Fujitaka at the head, to his right was a woman with short dark red hair. Next to her were Tomoyo, Sakura and another lady with long dark auburn and brown highlighted hair. To Fujitaka's left were Eriol, a guy about Touya's age with silvery hair and glasses, and Touya. Rising from her seat, Sakura cleared her throat.
"Umm…. as father might have explained earlier in the morning, there is an outside guest that I sort of let him stayed. May I introduce, or more like reintroduce Li Syaoran of the Li Clan." Sakura said sarcastically making Fujitaka glance at her with hard eyes.
"Li Syaoran, this is my father, Kinomoto Fujitaka, as you might know by now." Pointing to the king. "This is my aunt, Daidouji Sonomi." Sakura pointed to the short hair lady.
Pointing next to her, "As you might have accidentally met, my cousin, Daidouji Tomoyo." "This is my sister-in law, Kinomoto Mizuki Kaho, wife of my brother." Directing to the lady next to Tomoyo.
Motioning her hand to the other side of her father, she said, "This is Hiiragizawa Eriol, which you might remember from our previous battle." "This is Tsukishiro Yukito a close friend of my family. And of course, my brother, Kinomoto Touya." Taking her seat, she summoned her maids and servants for the breakfast.
As everyone was happily eating and discussing their daily lives, Syaoran ate quietly and listened to the occurring conversations.
"Kaho-san, when did you return? How were the Snow Mountains? Did you have enough time to restore your magic? Was it dangerous?" Tomoyo asked.
Laughing, Kaho smiled and said, "Tomoyo-san, I had a great time. And yes, I did restore my energy and no it was actually quite fun. If you like, I would love to take you and Sakura there. Of course with Fujitaka-sama and Sonomi-sama's permissions."
"Fujitaka, how are managing with the jewel? If you would like, I could examine it for a while to see what is wrong." "Thank you Eriol-san, but I can keep it on. If there are any necessaries, I would ask for your aid." Fujitaka said with gratitude
"Yukito, you know, something isn't right with that gaki. He seems awfully quiet. I think that he's plotting to get revenge on kaijou." Touya said with suspicion. "Touya-kun, don't you think that he is just shy? He barely knows us and he probably left his family to come all the way here." Yukito tried to reason. "Whatever, but I would keep a watch over him. I don't really trust him around Sakura." Touya muttered.

On the palace grounds (A/N: Don't ask why…. just continue with the story)
"You know I don't know why you even consider letting him stay, kaijou. Unless you are madly in love with this gaki." Touya said to Sakura while getting his black and white stallion out of the stables.
"Sakura no kaijou! And I DO NOT….I repeat DO NOT love that selfish hentai king or what ever he calls himself!" With a kick in his shin, she smiled in triumph as she saw Touya jumping around holding his ankle.
Walking out with a silver white unicorn, Kaho looked puzzled. Then seeing a triumph Sakura, she let out a giggle as she went to her husband. "Touya, what did you do now? I feel sorry for Sakura, wasting energy just to kick a big bully like you." Kaho said wrapping her arms around her husband's neck.
"Really now? I'm hurt." He said in a hurt tone
"Too bad I married such a mean guy…. If I didn't, I might have accepted the date that Mamezu Kalisyo offered two years ago." Kaho teased. (A/N: Thanz Lil Blue Burdie for the name! ^-^)
"Grr… Do you really have to mention him after all these years?" Touya said with jealousy and vengeance.
"Yes because I know you want to beat his brains out after what he REALLY wanted to do with me." Tiptoeing, she gave him a quick peck on his cheek.
"Oh well, too bad because you married this big mean bully without knowing it." grinning Touya said, pulling Kaho into an embrace.
"Ahem…." Looking over Kaho's shoulder, Touya smiled sheepishly at Sakura. While Touya and Kaho were discussing their old time affairs, Sakura was waiting impatiently tapping her foot on the stable floor holding onto her white unicorn's reins. The trio climbed onto their unicorns and heads out to the city.

(A/N: Let's see what's up with Tomoyo and Eriol, *winks* shall we?)
Walking slowly, she approached her uncle's study room, where Fujitaka and Eriol were discussing about business and affairs. (What am I going to say? `Eriol can I talk to you for a moment?' No… too appropriate. `I have some business to take care with Eriol uncle, could he come with me for a moment?' Defiantly not, I would embarrass myself like that. Reaching her destination, she knocked on the door and went in. Tomoyo saw her uncle sitting in the velvet armchair next to the fireplace with Eriol right across from him.
"I'm terribly sorry if I'm interrupting something that you are discussing with Hiiragizawa-kun, uncle." Tomoyo bowed in respect.
Waving his hand, Fujitaka shook his head, "Not at all Tomoyo-chan. Is there anything wrong?"
"Umm no…. Hiiragizawa-kun, could you spare some time? I… ah have some things to discuss with you. If you don't mind that is." Tomoyo said as if she were finding the right words.
"No, not at all Tomoyo-san. If you would excuse me for a brief moment Fujitaka-san." Bowing, he left the room with Tomoyo.
Closing the door, he turned and faced Tomoyo. Seeing Tomoyo in deep thought with her hands scrunching her handkerchief, he placed his hand on her shoulder. Her amethyst eyes locked with his midnight blues as she looked up with a weary and confused face. He smiled and led her to an empty room. Sitting down on a chair, he asked,
"So Tomoyo-san, what is wrong? You seem to be spacing off very often these days."
"Eriol-kun, I…." as if she can't look into his eyes, she stopped.
"Continue." Eriol urged.
"I have a confession to make. It's just that I…" Tomoyo squeezed her handkerchief and kept her eyes shut. Taking a deep breath, she looked straight into his eyes.
"I like you, Hiiragizawa-kun."
Eriol, sat with a composed face, and did not reply abruptly. Taking a deep breath he said, "Tomoyo-san…. I don't know if I could answer you… right away." Glancing up at Tomoyo, he saw tears welled up in her purple orbs. She quickly and hastily wiped them away with her handkerchief and mumbled something that Eriol could only catch a few words. Then she fled to her room, leaving Eriol in the silence of the bleak room. Standing up, he went back to the study next door to finish up the business that he had started with Fujitaka.

Up in the guest rooms
Walking out into the balcony, he could see the sun setting. Swirls of light red, purple, golden yellow, baby blue, and flaming orange filled the evening sky. A gentle cool breeze blew against him. Sighing at the luxurious sky, Syaoran took a deep breath of the fresh air and walked in. Then, finding himself a spot near the window, he sat down cross-legged. (Well, mother always says that meditation helps a confused thought. I guess it wouldn't hurt.) Keeping his breathing at a steady pace, he closed his eyes and let his chi travel around his surroundings. Focusing on a deep thought, he entered and felt around.
A/N: phew…that was tiring…. dedicated to all the people who complained for a longer chapter! This took me about 3 hours just to do this and it's killing me. I hope I won't pass out again!
