Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ If I Told You I'd Have to Kill You ❯ Quick Escape ( Chapter 5 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

OMG! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry!! My computer crashed taking all my chapters with it! I had to wait until we got a new computer, I know I know what about friends? Believe it or not NONE of my friends have the internet ( What freaks). And I felt kinda weird typing it at the library so I didn't! I'm sorry guys! Not to mention school just started, I've just been distracted… SORRY!

Oh wait I have something else to say. Thank you to Tina and Natalie for the corrections, if you go back you can see I made the changes. BUT even though the Li family has supposedly been in Hong Kong for generations upon generations it is perfectly understandable and logical to think that his family speaks Cantonese. It is very easy for me (or Sakura for that matter) to be confused, after the whole thing with England handing over Hong Kong to the Chinese Republic, Mandarin became almost a forced language for half of the population of Hong Kong. SO if someone all of a sudden grabbed you, you could accidentally have a momentary lapse of the correct language and speak Mandarin. (and if Sakura did Li would still understand her, since any main political family in Hong Kong would most definitely know Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.) And yes I did ask for the language that Syaoran spoke; he could have spoken one of the two Chinese languages that particular night. And yes Ying-Fa is Cantonese, but it's kinda hard to tell an entire language by a single word.

Nonetheless thanks for your guys help, I just didn't want to seem like I have no knowledge over the matter.

Well here's the long overdue chapter…

*** means scene change or time lapse

'means thinking'

The knife was two inches away from Syaoran's face when he snatched it out of the air.

'That's not good.' thought Sakura. Syaoran switched the knife around and threw it at Sakura. She ducked just in time and the knife went straight through the window, which sent glass shards flying everywhere.

Sakura looked at Syaoran, "Thanks hun!" She then jumped out of the window while switching around her purse and pulling the cord. Syaoran stared in disbelief as the woman floated down towards the ground.

"What the hell is going on?" Syaoran said under his breath.

Sakura was running as fast as she could through the courtyard. Ahead she saw the gigantic gate her and Tomoyo and come through only an hour ago.

"Hey you! Stop! Stop where you are!" Sakura turned around and saw six guards coming towards her. She started running again, fighting six big well-trained guys did not sound appetizing. She got to the gate as a black jaguar skidded to a halt in front of her.

"Get in!" someone, who she knew was Tomoyo, shouted from inside the car. Sakura didn't need to be told twice, she opened the door and literally dived in.

"So he freaked out when you mentioned magic?" Tomoyo inquired.

"Yeah, but when he was mentioning his schedule I swear he almost said sword and MAGIC lessons. Here listen to the tape. I'm gonna go call Yamazaki and find out what we do next." Sakura placed the tape recorder on the hotel bed. Tomoyo pressed the button and started listening.

Sakura opened her communicator, "Hey, it's me. We just finished the first part of the mission. What do we do next?"

"Did you know that in the ancient Aztec religion people who finished…"

"LIES! All lies!!" Yamazaki was pounded on the head by a rolled up newspaper.

After the swirls disappeared from his eyes Yamazaki continued, "Tonight you, and only you, will go the mansion and get the ring. Just hook up the ring with the laptop you have and see if there's any useful information. Rika said there should be a scrambler in the suitcase she left; you turn it on right before you enter the library. There's heat lasers right? And a camera? The scrambler will shut those off for 5 minutes. Also there's a suit in there for you, it secures your identity not to mention it's tight fitting so nothing will get in your way."

"Kay, I'll call you when I'm done. Bye!" Sakura shut her communicator off.

"Hey Sakura," Tomoyo said from the bed. "I don't remember asking him if he was single was one of the planned out questions."

"Well, you see heh heh, I though maybe if he, um, had a girlfriend we could get an advantage?" Sakura backed away from Tomoyo and grabbed the nearby brief case and laptop.

"Yeah, that's VERY convincing." Tomoyo took a step closer.

"I should be going you know… stuff to do." Sakura nearly ran out the door.
