Life's Not The Same Without You

Sakura Kinomoto shook her head disbelieveingly. "Iie, Tomoyo!" She cried, putting her little hands over her ears. "He's still alive. He's not hurt." She whimpered. Sakura Kinomoto had honey coloured hair tied up in two pigtails with red bobbles in her hair. Her eyes were emerald green. Sakura was twelve years old and Syaoran had just told her he loved her and she had said the same back.

Tomoyo Daidouji was Sakura's best friend. She had long purple coloured hair and blue eyes. Tomoyo had a figure to die for, as did Sakura. Sakura and Tomoyo were in Year Seven at Tomoeda Elementary School.

"Hontou, Sakura. Meiling-san just told me." "Hontou ni?" "Hai, Sakura. I do." "Iie! Uso yo!" "Sakura, damare!" Tomoyo gripped Sakura around the wrists. "Syaoran is in hospital. He got hit by a car and he just barely lived." "Syao-kun."

Syaoran Li was a young boy in Sakura's class. He had chocolate brown hair and cocoa coloured eyes. Sakura loved him with her little heart. "Syaoran." Sakura put her hands over her heart. "Kinomoto-chan!" Meiling Li rang out.

Meiling was Syaoran's cousin. She had very long black hair and amber eyes. "Gomen nasai for being late. Hurry up, let's go see Syao." The three friends held hands as they pushed open the door to Syaoran's room. As soon as Sakura was let in, she ran over to his bed and hugged Syaoran. "Syao-kun!" "Sakura-chan." He whispered. Sakura put an index finger on his lips. "Ssh, don't speak." "Sakura. Watashi wa shinanai." "Hai. Syao, you will. I don't want you to." A small tear dripped down Sakura's cheek.

"Don't cry. Onegai." "Syaoran. I can't help it." There was a sharp knock at the door and a prim looking nurse entered. "Visiting hours are over." She spoke. "Sayonara Syaoran." "Sayonara." The nurse pushed the three girls outside and shut the door to check on Syaoran. Sakura, Meiling and Tomoyo all left the hospital together.

"Gomen, Sakura, I just had to tell you." Meiling replied, her hair covering her eyes. "Sakura, gomen nasai." Tomoyo apologized to her best friend. "It's okay." "Now, what do you want to do?" Tomoyo grinned. "I don't know. But I do want to check out something." "What?"

"Key to the star, with powers burning bright, reveal the staff and shine your light! Release!" Sakura twirled her staff around before pulling out a Clow Card. "I call upon the powers of my star, ancient forces near and far, Hope Card, discard your former might, and draw your power from my light! Sakura Card!" The card turned pink. "Hope Card! Release and dispel!" The card shone yellow and swirls of colours twirled around Sakura as she hit the card softly. A heart appeared in the air, floating. It was red and had white wings and a yellow crown.

"What do you think it does, Kinomoto?" "I don't know." "Hope Card, what is your power?" "I give everyone back their hopes and dreams." "Hai." Tomoyo nodded. "Hope Card! Give everyone back their hopes and dreams!" The heart shone red and every person in the whole world did too. "Yatta!" Sakura squealed. "Oh, Sakura! You look so kawaii!" Tomoyo screeched. "Syaoran is mine!" Meiling shouted as she ran back to the hospital. "I guess Meiling got all her hopes back." Sakura sweatdropped.

*Time Skip To The Next Day*

"Ikisho, Tomoyo!" Sakura called out to her best friend for life, Tomoyo. "Coming!" Tomoyo fluffed her hair and jogged over to Sakura. "Ikuzo!" They both walked slowly into the hospital where Syaoran was at the moment. Both Sakura and Tomoyo walked over to the elevator. They were soon on the floor of Syaoran's room. Sakura knocked on the door and ran in. "Tomoyo, wait here!" "Okay, Sakura." Tomoyo shut the door from the outside.

A nurse was inside. "Doko ni?" Sakura started. "Are you Kinomoto Sakura?" "Yes, I am." "Syaoran left you.. This note." "Where is Syaoran?" The young girl insisted. "Syaoran.. He died from blood loss." "Iie! Syaoran! Syao-kun.. iie! Uso yo!" "Iie. It's not a lie. Here's the note." The nurse handed Sakura the note, which was inside a clean white envelope. She opened it and read the letter.

To my dearest cherry blossom,

I love you more now than I've ever loved you before. Sakura, take care of everyone, including yourself, and the cards. Remember, I'll be watching you.

Wo ai ni, Sakura.

Syaoran

"Doush'te?" Sakura dropped to her knees and burst into tears. Tomoyo entered the room at that moment. "Sakura.. Doush'tano?" She looked around the room and gasped. "Doko ni Syaoran?" The nurse nodded somberly at the thought of a dead twelve year old. "He's dead, Tomoyo." "Sou ka?" "Hai."

"But he's dead. Dead to the world, Tomoyo. I'll never see him again." Sakura sobbed into her hands.
