Memories of Emptiness: Chapter Three
"WHAT?!?" Syaoran shouted. "I can't go there! SAKURA PROBABLY HATES ME!" Eriol sighed. "You know that isn't possible. Sakura isn't capable of hating anyone and…" Eriol didn't bother to finish he just stood up and said: "Come on. I'll help you pack." Syaoran stood up and jumped in front of Eriol before he could leave.
"And. And what?" Syaoran asked skeptically. "You shouldn't have to know. Not unless it can't be avoided. Sakura-san would never forgive me if I told you." Eriol said. "The real Sakura-san wouldn't anyways." Eriol muttered under his breath. He was about to walk around Syaoran when he was stopped by one of the Council Elders.
"Tell him Clow. He needs to know." ordered the Elder. Eriol balled both hands into shaking fists. "It's too depressing. I promised Tomoyo-sama." The Elder smiled. "I know that isn't true. Your infatuation made it quite clear to me on the phone to make sure you told Syaoran everything that's happened."
Eriol stared at the Elder wide-eyed and red; almost as red as Syaoran gets when he's angry but not as red as Syaoran when blushing. "Fine. But I know this isn't going to make things any easier for him."
Eriol turned to Syaoran and took a deep breath. "We haven't been able to wake Sakura-san for about a week now. Kero and I sensed some kind of barrier but we don't know how to break it. There's a lot we don't know now-a-days it seems. We need your help. We can't save her on our own and as much as I hate to admit it. You're stronger than Kero or me now. Maybe not as strong as Sakura-san herself but you're her only chance."
"Y-you can't wake her up…" It looked as if Syaoran was in an advanced stage of catatonia. Eriol turned back to the Elder. "I told you it wouldn't help…" "He needed to know," the Elder exclaimed in a calming voice with a soothing smile. Really not common for an Elder of the Li Clan Eriol noted with slight amusement.

By the time Syaoran snapped out of his catatonia he was in a giant building with people walking everywhere and looking quite busy. Everyone seemed rushed. He looked down at himself and saw that he had his coat on now. Then he looked down at his side. He had a suitcase in his hand and a duffel bag on his shoulder.
"Oh. So you finally decided to wake up sunshine. I thought you might have been stuck asleep like Sakura-san. Though you weren't asleep were you?" Syaoran turned to the voice and saw Eriol sitting down in front of a large window. Syaoran looked outside the window and saw a long concrete runway with large airplanes up in down it. He also saw a place where miniature cars were running back and forth-carrying luggage.
"YOU!" Syaoran shouted finally realizing where he was. "How could you take me to the airport?!?" "Actually. I didn't take you. You see, I'm still working on getting my license. Your sister took us." Eriol said showing off his big, somewhat creepy and Clow-like grin.
