Eriol glanced up from the book he was reading as he felt the magic of Time sweep over the city. Something apparently was happening. He set the book aside on the chair and walked out of the room onto the balcony to look out over the horizon. He studied the frozen yellowish sky for a moment before finding who had cast the magic. It seemed Yue had taken his words to heart and was now acting. Interesting to bring the Star cards into it. He had not thought of that. Smiling softly to himself he walked back inside and then back to his chair, picking up his book and flipping through it to find his place again.
An hour later he heard the door slam below and closed the book, setting it on the desk as he left his room to walk out to the stairs and down them halfway until he saw the form of Akizuki leaning against the front door. He finished walking down the stairs and walked down the hall until he stood a couple feet away from him. His eyes were closed and his breathing was fast. "What happened?" he asked quietly watching him.
Akizuki's eyes snapped open and looked down at him, slightly wild. "Yue." he snapped and then pushed away from the door to brush by him quickly as he made his way towards the stairs.
Eriol turned watching him and then turned towards the kitchen. He would ask Spinel later for more detailed information, but at the moment he had to begin the dinner he had promised Tomoyo.
The angel's head moved slightly, the hair sliding back away from the pale face. Lavender eyes looked at him and then away. He flew from the branch he was on onto Yue's shoulder. "What's wrong? Everyone is wondering where you are." he said softly, as he studied Yue's face. "Did that damned girl do something?"
Yue sighed and shook his head as he straightened up and moved to slide off the tree limb, landing on his feet as they reached the ground. "No, Keroberos. I am just weary. I'll return home now, since the Mistress is worrying about me." he said quietly, beginning to walk through the trees back to the path and towards Sakura's house.
Kero remained sitting on Yue's shoulder, hidden by Yue's long hair. "I thought your hair was in a braid this morning." he commented softly.
Yue nodded silently and turned out of the park. "Yes. I released it after sunset. Why do you ask?"
Kero shook his head and kept his balance on Yue's shoulder as they turned onto their home street. "No reason, just wondered."
"Ah." Yue opened the door to the house and walked inside, slipping out of the shoes he had worn for today and turned for the stairs.
"Touya is in the backyard, I think he wouldn't mind a little company." Kero said as he flew off his shoulder to hover for a moment in front of him.
Yue raised a white eyebrow. "Are you suggesting I go out there with him?"
Kero rolled his eyes and sighed. "Yes! It would be better for you to go out there and spend time with him, instead of in Sakura's room brooding. Besides, you ruin my concentration when you're in there and I'm trying to play." he said crossing his little arms over his chest, trying to look stern and failing miserably.
Yue turned and glanced sideways at the stuffed guardian before shaking his head and walking towards the kitchen. Kero grinned at his back and flew upstairs, and sitting down in front of the game. Sakura looked up from the book she was reading. "Did you find him, Kero-chan?" she asked.
Kero nodded as he turned on the game. "Yea, I sent him into the backyard with Touya." he said smirking.
"Oh.. ok. Thanks Kero-chan." she said before returning her attention back to the book.
"Sure thing, you're welcome." he said as he began to play, little paws flying over the buttons as he squashed an enemy on the game.
Tomoyo smiled faintly back and nodded. "Yes, Hiiragizawa-kun. It was very nice, did you fix all of it?"
Eriol nodded and stood up from his chair as Tomoyo stood from her own. "I did, may I show you the music room now?"
She nodded silently, watching him as he walked over to the doors of the dinning room, opened them and led the way down the hall towards a large room, that held a number of instruments. One of which was a beautiful ebony grand piano. She walked over towards it and smiled back at him. "It's very beautiful, Hiiragizawa-kun." she said softly, as she ran a hand over one side of it.
Eriol stepped up to the keyboard and sat down at the bench. "Must we continue to be so formal? May I call you Tomoyo-san?"
Tomoyo looked up at him, cheeks slightly pink. "Of.. of course. May I call you Eriol-kun?"
He smiled and nodded as he began to slowly pick a small tune from the keys in front of him. "Of course, Tomoyo-san. Would you like to sit beside me while we work on the song?" he asked, one hand leaving the keys to brush over the bench beside him. Tomoyo blushed slightly more before walking around the piano and sitting beside him on the bench. He abandoned the small tune he had been working on, to open up the notes sitting on the stand above the keyboard. Slowly he began the song within, smiling faintly when Tomoyo added her voice to it. The song fit her very well he thought silently as he played and listened.
Glancing over at her, he smiled more as he studied her face, her eyes closed as she sang, ebony hair framing her pale face. Turning his eyes back to the notes he nodded silently to himself. He would try the courting game again he decided. This time he wouldn't be left out in the cold though, for he had a feeling she actually cared for who he was, not what he was.
As the piece ended, he turned to look at her and was about to ask her something, when a scream rent the air of the house. Tomoyo opened her eyes and looked at him in shock. He blinked and stood. "Please, excuse me. I'll go check on that and come back." he said calmly before leaving the room and walking upstairs. Another scream slashed through the silence, this time it was feline though. He hurried towards the source, and was surprised to find it came from his own rooms. Opening the doors, he rushed inside and found the balcony doors open with Spinel Sun laying on his side in front of them.
Rushing over to the panther's side he knelt down, looking over him. "Spinel Sun, what the hell just happened?" he asked, as he laid a hand over a black shoulder. It felt sticky and he lifted his hand back up to see it covered in blood. His eyes widened. "Spinel Sun?!"
The black head lifted up slightly to look back at him, green eyes blinking several times before focusing. "I tried to stop him, but he's gone mad. He attacked me when I blocked his way. I think he's gone after Yue."
Eriol's eyes widened and he quickly checked the extent of the injury. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as he had first assumed, he called a little power to his hand and carefully healed the torn muscle and stopped the bleeding. "There, now can you go quickly to Yue and warn him that he's coming? I will follow you shortly, I need to tell Tomoyo that I have to leave."
Spinel Sun nodded as he got back up to his feet and tested the healed shoulder before walking out the doors. "Yes, Master. I will try to help defend him if necessary as well, if that is alright with you." he said calmly.
Eriol stood and nodded. "Yes, now hurry. There's no telling what damage he might cause." Spinel Sun nodded once more and then leapt off the balcony into the air flying quickly towards Sakura's house.
Eriol frowned at the night sky, before turning back inside and then down to the music room again to speak to Tomoyo.
