Tomoyo followed Eriol as he ran down the road, the ebony cloak around his form billowing out behind him. After he had come back he had very quickly explained that Yue and possibly Kero and Sakura were in danger from Ruby Moon. Then he had left her and she had left the music room and headed for the front door, in time to meet him also arriving at the front door wrapped within the black cloak. They had headed out together then towards Sakura's place.

After a couple more yards she had to stop to get her breath back and saw Eriol come to a stop as well, looking back at her once, before turning around to walk back to her. "We'll never make it on time on foot. Hold on to me, and we'll take a quicker way." he said, his voice strangely colder and deeper than it had been earlier tonight. She wrapped her arms around his waist and then heard a soft whisper of sound before a small light flashed and he wrapped one arm around her shoulders, the other now holding onto a tall staff.

She saw the edge of a symbol come to life underneath him as Eriol again whispered something too faint for her to catch and a wind began to whip around them glowing a soft golden color as it completely surrounded them. Everything outside the circle disappeared then and as it slowly faded back into view she recognized the street they were now on. Sakura's house was only down the road now. Releasing Eriol as he drew back his own arm, she turned to head that way, but stopped when she heard the clatter of the staff hitting the ground behind her.

Turning around, she gasped in surprise as she saw Eriol kneeling on the ground the cloak billowed out around him, revealing the white, blue and black robes he wore underneath. He was breathing heavily and had reached inside the robes to draw out something that glowed softly in his hand. "It's time then, I can not stall any longer." he said quietly as he looked down at the card shaped object in his hand. She knelt beside him in confusion.

"Eriol-kun, what are you talking about? What is that?" she asked softly, watching him. His features were pale as the robes beneath him and worried her.

His eyes turned to look at her briefly before turning back to the card in his hand, he reached over beside him, picking the staff back up as he slowly drew himself back up to his feet. Leaning slightly against the staff he threw the card into the air where it hovered silently, still glowing. He then straightened up, drawing the staff off the ground. "Balance Card. Release and Dispel." he said firmly as the longest point on the staff's head touched the glowing card.

The card spun then and a stream of white light flowed out of it to form a woman dressed in gray robes, holding a set of scales. As Tomoyo looked up at her face she shivered slightly at the blind eyes that stared down at them, before turning away to look down the street towards Sakura's house.

Yue sighed as Touya ran his hands through his hair again, straightening it as he prepared to redo the braid once more. He was completely unprepared for the sudden reddish light that was streaking towards him out of nowhere it seemed. Shouting in surprise, he called his wings into existence and turned over to wrap himself and his wings around Touya, shielding him from the ruby light. After it reflected off the shield he had hastily erected he pulled back away from him to look up into the sky to see Ruby Moon, hovering over the yard, a glowing ruby held in one hand.

He narrowed his eyes and then setting his shield over Touya, he launched himself into the air to face him. "What is the meaning of this, Ruby Moon?" he hissed, a glowing diamond coming into being over one of his own hands. "Why did you attack us with no warning?"

The other guardian glared at him, his ruby eyes holding a decidedly insane glint in them. "I was defending him, from you." Ruby Moon hissed back, as the ruby in his hand broke into five smaller rubies.

Yue's eyes narrowed further and he flung the diamond shard at her in going anger. "You are the danger. That is twice you've attacked him. I will not allow you to harm him again!" he growled as he watched him deflect the diamond with a ruby shield.

Ruby Moon narrowed his eyes and glared murderously at him, drawing his hand back he released the ruby shards, throwing them at his face. He dived, flying down below him, to come up behind and slice a hand in a downwards motion causing a stream of light to appear bow-shaped. He drew the hand back causing the bow-strings of the light to stretch back and then the arrow came to life in his hand lined up with Ruby Moon's back.

Ruby Moon turned just as he released the arrow of light and threw a shield up hastily, barely warding off the attack. He growled in building fury and formed another diamond in one hand as the other guardian in front of him began to draw in power to attack him again. The ruby light streaked towards him and he threw a shower of diamond shards at him as he flew higher into the sky avoiding the attack.

Ruby Moon's shield, deflected half of the attack, a scream was torn from his throat as his wing was shredded by the part that made it through. An ebony form then suddenly slammed into Ruby Moon, forcing him to land. Yue flew down to land as well and realized the ebony figure was Spinel Sun, who leapt back away from Ruby Moon, when he attempted to slash the panther with a ruby knife. Spinel Sun glanced at Yue and spoke as returned his attention to the insane moon guardian. "I came to warn you, about this. Eriol's on his way to help."

Yue nodded silently in response, before taking to the air again. Quickly, he checked that his shield over Touya was still up and at full strength. A glance up at the sky, showed the moon to be at its zenith and full, which of course helped Ruby Moon, as much as it did him. As he looked away, he saw a sudden shadow pass over the moon and looked back up in shock to see a woman flying towards him without the benefit of wings. In her arms she bore a pair of scales.

He flew down to land beside Touya, placing himself between him and Ruby Moon. The woman descended until she hovered a couple feet off the ground. She released the scales to hang in the air by themselves. Then the back door slammed open and Keroberos bounded out of it in his true form to snarl at Ruby Moon, and place himself between her and Yue. "Are you alight, Yue? I saw the fight from the window and came as soon as I got the doors opened and changed."

Yue glanced down at the lion and nodded. "Yes, Keroberos. I am not harmed." he said quietly, looking back at the woman who was now looking down at them with blind eyes. He shivered suddenly and watched as something began to take shape in the scales in front of her. A single ruby shined from one scale, while the other held a single diamond. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched as two figures came into the backyard. One he recognized immediately as being Eriol, the other took him another moment to place as one of the Mistress's friends, Tomoyo Daidouji.

Eriol came to a halt as he saw the scene in front of him, Balance was in front of them all. Spinel Sun was standing between Ruby Moon and Balance. Keroberos was in front of Yue, snarling at Ruby Moon. Yue was shielding Touya behind him, his massive wings spread out in an aggressive position. Ruby Moon, was glaring at Yue, ignoring the snarling sun guardian in front of him. One of his red and ebony wings was shredded and hanging from his back. He looked up at the scales in front of balance suddenly as they began to move.

At first the diamond began to slowly tip the scales downward before recovering and righting itself again. Then it began to rise as the ruby suddenly dragged its own side down and finally completely tipped the scales. The woman behind them then took the ruby in her hand and then floated down from the sky to hover in front of Ruby Moon. She reached forwards with one pale hand to touch the moon guardian with the ruby in her hand. A sharp scream followed this action and Eriol watched Ruby Moon's form fade away. Soon he was gone as if he had never been there and he closed his eyes to ease the small sharp pain that hit him. Opening his eyes, he saw Spinel Sun make his way towards him and the woman reaching for the diamond inside the scales. He straightened up, hand tightening around his staff as he shouted. "No! Not Yue."
