[ Yet another chapter ! :DD This one gets more interesting, I think. x3 Please review? - TomOuya ]

Kyokkou sat her backpack down on her bed as she sat on the floor. She pulled her knees to her chest as she let a sigh pass her lips.
She began to wonder about the boy who'd followed her just to give her a book that she'd drop. On the other hand—why would he do that? No one had talked to her at school besides making snide remarks.
“Kyokkou?” She heard her Dad's voice on the other side of the door, which was followed by a soft knock. “May I come in?”
Quickly she jumped up, taking off her shoes and placing them in her closet, before she rushed to sit back on her bed.
“Yes sir. You may come in,” she replied softly.
Her door crept open softly, as he entered, walking to her bed and kneeling in front of her, taking her hand.
“Kyo,” he said softly, “You are my beautiful little girl, and you always will be.”
Her lavender eyes watched him closely as she wondered why he was saying such words . . . as if he were going to leave her soon!
“Daddy, what's going to happen?” She said, straightening her back.
“Just listen to me, please.” He said, avoiding her question. “I've been very busy lately, which I'm sure you've noticed.” His hand held up to her, palm facing the ceiling. A soft mist of sapphire surrounded his hand, and as the fog cleared, a lavender deck of long cards floated above his hand. “I want to explain why I'm giving these to you, but you have to figure out yourself.”
Her eyes filled with curiosity as her hand reached out to touch the card.
“Wait!” Her father warned.
With alarm, she quickly pulled back her hand, glancing at his face again.
“Once you touch these, I'm sure your life will change drastically . . . So—please, wait until you're ready.” With his free hand, he pulled a wine colored silk cloth, placing it over the cards, carefully wrapping them. “They are called the Hikari Cards.” He placed them beside her on the bed before he stood up to his full length, sharing a soft smile with her. “The cloth is a protecting cloth; nothing will happen if you touch the cards with that on them. I know you have many questions, but you'll find out why soon enough.”
With his last words he exited her room.
She touched the soft cloth on the cards, feeling the warmth repelling from the cards.

Kyokkou changed into a pair of baggy play jeans, and a plain white t-shirt. She placed the cards in her pocket with a nice feel of security.
She skipped out of her room, hair bouncing messily about. She stopped skipping when she reached her Father's office door. She knocked gently.
Yes, Kyokkou?” She heard her Father's voice in her head. Still unable to control her telekinetic powers enough to direct her words back into his mind, she spoke loudly threw the office door.
“Father, may I go play outside?” She felt so stupid yelling threw the door.
Of course, Kyo. Be back before the sun goes down. Please be careful.” His voice rang in her head one last time.

[ And, yet another boring chapter! A lot of things will happen during the next chapter, and when I say a lot, I really mean you'll be kind of confused with how much that'll go on. :D -TomOuya ]
