(A/N: When they (Sakura, Syaoran, Eriol and Tomoyo) are conversing amongst themselves, it's in "Japanese" and when they are talking to other people, it's in "English". I'm sorry this is confusing! I'm just trying to clarify some things to avoid any confusion that might come later!)

Chapter 1 - England, the Dream and the Trip

The next day, Eriol received another letter from Hogwarts.

Dear Mr. Hiiragizawa,

I am very pleased that you and your friends have decided to attend my school. I am sure that you will enjoy it here very much.

At the school, you and your friends will not attend class with the other students because, if I am not mistaken, your brand of magic is very different. Your classes will be taught myself. I will fill you in with more information when you arrive.

Enclosed with this letter are 4 tickets with your transportation information. Just a little reminder, it is at the King's Cross Station in London and you board from Platform 9 3/4.

Have a safe trip!

Yours truly,

Albus Dumbledore

After reading the letter, Eriol quickly phoned Sakura, Tomoyo and Syaoran to tell them about the letter.

The gang flew out of Japan a day early. They wanted to make sure they wouldn't miss the train. Their voyage on the plane was rather nasty in the beginning. Also aboard their flight was a pair of troublesome toddlers. They kept on running up and down the isle screaming at the top of their lungs. And when they were chastised, they'd cry extremely loud. The parents were having a lot of difficulty handling the children and Sakura wanted to help with her card at the moment - Sleep. Of course, using the Cards in front of outsiders was a no-go, so Eriol stepped in. He put them asleep without anyone noticing.

After they had claimed their luggage, they called a taxi and went to their hotel. It was now mid-afternoon and everyone was hungry. It had been a while since they last ate, so Eriol took them to a good ol' fish and chips stand that was nearby. It seemed that Sakura was having the most fun eating her fish and chips.

"Wow! You can eat this with malt vinegar and - what's this again? Oh right! Tartar sauce!" Sakura said, flinging her fried fish around. People passing by looked at her as if she was crazy.

"Hey Hiiragizawa, why do they wrap this in newspaper? Isn't that a bit odd?" Syaoran asked.

"I think that it's supposed to enhance the flavour of the fish." Eriol replied.

The 2 girls stared at Eriol and Syaoran with wide eyes. That was probably the most civil exchange of words they had ever had. They ate the rest of their meal in silence - the battered fish had lost its amusement and they felt that they needed a nap. When they got back to their rooms, they found that neither of them could sleep. They ended up playing cards until dinner time.

That night, while everyone slept, Sakura lay in her bed, tossing and turning. She was having a nightmare. It was the same dream that she had a few days ago. But, this dream was a little different. This time, Sakura went to help the boy. The man turned his stick upon her, Syaoran jumped in front of Sakura, shielding her from the evil man. And then there was another blinding flash of green light. When she awoke, she was panting and coughing. She tried to remember her dream, but the more she tried to remember, the more she forgot. Finally, Sakura fell asleep.

Meanwhile, in Surrey, Number 4, Pivet Drive, a boy with a lightning shaped scar on his head woke up with his scar burning badly.

The gang woke up at 8 o'clock sharp, courtesy of the hotel and their wake up calls. After a quick breakfast, they went to King's Cross Station. The second they reached the platform, Eriol definitely sensed some magic. Tomoyo took notice to the unusual amount of children and teenagers. She would have expected them to be getting ready for the new school year. Suddenly, Syaoran stopped dead in his tracks.

"What's wrong Syaoran-kun?" Sakura asked.

"I can't believe it!" he exclaimed. "There is no Platform 9 ¾!" He pointed to the signs of Platform 9 and 10. "How exactly are we supposed to get to this Hogwarts school?"

"Calm down Syaoran-kun! I'm sure we'll figure this out." Sakura assured.

"That is really weird! Why would they give us tickets to a train that doesn't exist?" Tomoyo thought aloud. She leaned against the barrier between Platform 9 & 10 and suddenly disappeared. Tomoyo fell on the ground with a small scream. She looked around to her surroundings and gasped. Before her was a scarlet steam engine and next to it was a sign that read "Hogwarts Express". 'I found it', she thought excitedly. Her thoughts were soon interrupted by a male voice.

"As I was telling you, girls are always falling at my feet." He drawled coyly as he looked down at Tomoyo. She looked up to see a boy who looked about her age. He had silver-blond hair and incredibly intense grey eyes.

She was at loss for words. Not because this boy was exceptionally good looking, but because she had never thought to remember any of the English she had learnt before. She said the first thing that came to mind, "Very nice to meet you."

The boy offered his hand to her and she accepted it. He pulled her up and she bowed a thank you. She was about to walk away when he touched her arm, "What's your name?" he asked.

Tomoyo's mind scrambled for a reply and it finally came out. "Tomoyo. Tomoyo Daidouji." she said shyly. She turned abruptly and started walking very fast. She didn't want to be separated from the others for too long, and she was sure they were worried. She walked towards the same place she came out of and sighed. She took a few steps forward and emerged on the other side. Eriol, Syaoran and Sakura were all there, staring at her wide-eyed.

"Tomoyo-chan! Where did you go?" Sakura asked worriedly, hugging her friend.

Tomoyo smiled as Sakura stepped back. "I found the train." she said. She explained to them what happened and they agreed to do what Tomoyo did. Within 5 minutes, they all found themselves safe and sound on the other side.

Before them was indeed the train to Hogwarts. They were all amazed at how the train was hidden from prying eyes. After a few minutes of gawking at the train, they finally boarded it. The train was pretty packed, but they managed to find a large compartment just for themselves. Just as they were getting comfortable, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Eriol said in English.

Everyone looked at Eriol. "Ne, Eriol-kun! What's with the English?" Sakura asked.

"Since we are in England, I thought that it would be best if we spoke in English. I don't think that many people here know Japanese." Eriol replied and Sakura nodded.

The compartment door opened. There stood 2 boys and a girl, all who looked about 15 years old. One of the boys had messy black hair and brilliant green eyes. He was clad in worn-in blue jeans and an overly large black t-shirt. The other boy had flaming red hair and clear blue eyes. He too was wearing clothes in a semi-shabby state. The girl had slightly bushy brown hair and big brown eyes. She was wearing a knee-length jean skirt with a sleeveless pink shirt.

"Hello, we're sorry to bother you but we were wondering if we could stay in your compartment. All the others are full." said the dark haired boy.

Syaoran and Sakura stared blankly at the boy. They were slowly breaking down what the boy just said. It wasn't that they didn't know any English (they had to take a course in school), it was just that they didn't have to use it until now, so they were just a bit slow. "Of course you can!" Eriol replied. "I'm Eriol Hiiragizawa!"

Tomoyo smiled and followed Eriol's example. "I'm Tomoyo Daidouji!"

"Syaoran Li." he said with a nod.

"I'm Sakura Kinomoto!" she said brightly.

"My name is Harry Potter! These are my friends Ron Weasly and Hermoine Granger." said Harry.

"Pleased to meet you!" Hermione said eagerly.

They exchanged pleasantries and finally settled down in their seats. It was quite snug considering there were seven people in a single compartment, but no one seemed to mind. Within 5 minutes, the train engine started, and they were off!

Sakura couldn't shake off the feeling that she had seen Harry before. She just couldn't figure out where and why. She had been studying him intently and saw something peculiar. "Harry, is that a scar on your head?" she said, looking at his forehead.

"Yeah, it's a scar." Harry said, suddenly looking somber. He still hadn't forgot about the terrible ordeal that happened last year at school. Everything was still clear in his mind.

"From what? That's an odd place to have a scar. Your mother didn't drop you on your head as a baby, did she?" Sakura asked unthinkingly.

Harry almost smiled at the last comment, but found he was unable to. He was still sensitive about the topic of his scar, of how he got it and everything that went along with it. Harry was also a bit surprised that they didn't know how he got it. He wasn't expecting them to know, it was just that last year's events seemed to have pulled his story back into the limelight. Harry opened his mouth a few times to say something, but closed then closed it. Hermione noticed that he was having great difficulties replying and changed the subject.

"So, what brings you to Hogwarts? It's very odd to have people from other countries come to this school. I'd expect that you would have gone to the school in Japan!" Hermione said very quickly.

Syaoran, Sakura and Tomoyo took a whole minute to process what Hermione just said, their minds now taken off the fact that Harry hadn't answered Sakura's question.

"Is something wrong?" Ron asked.

Eriol smiled weakly. "No, nothing's wrong. It has been a while since they last spoke in English, so they're a bit rusty. But, to answer your question Hermione, we got a letter from the Headmaster requesting our attendance to his school." Eriol replied. He turned to Sakura and gave her a small wink.

Sakura laughed. "Arigato Eriol-kun!" she said.

"No problem Sakura-san! I'm here to help!" Eriol said, grinning widely.

Just then, the compartment door slid open. There stood three boys. Tomoyo recognized one as the boy who helped her up earlier. He was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and a white t-shirt. It was a simple combination but he made it look good. His friends were already dressed in their school uniforms.

"What the hell is going on in here?" he asked, his voice full of disgust. "Why do I hear people talking jibberish-"

"Get out Malfoy!" Harry interrupted, getting up to his feet.

"Well, well! If it isn't Potty, Weasel and the Mudblood." he drawled, giving Harry, Ron and Hermione a piercing glare with his icy grey eyes. Tomoyo was a bit surprised at this behavior. It was different from what she had witnessed not too long ago. He glanced over at Tomoyo sitting next to all of her friends. "What's with all the foreigners?" he asked rudely.

Hermione stood up at the question. "That is none of your concern." she said. Draco had only just arrived, but his mere presence was boiling something inside her. "Now leave."

Draco smirked knowingly. "Only if you beg, Mudblood."

Hermione raised her eyebrows, daring him to go further, which he did not. "The day I beg for you to do something for me is the day we all find Crabbe and Goyle wearing pink tutus, holding little fairy wands while watching you in a porn movie!" she retorted angrily. Draco's jaw dropped in revulsion. He was about to say something in defense when he realized that Hermione hadn't really insulted him. Of course, there was that little bit on the porn movie, but some might find it somewhat flattering.

Ron and Harry burst out laughing. They had never seen Hermione blow up like that nevertheless use such language she did. "Good one Hermione!" Ron said, appreciatively patting her on the back.

"Stupid Granger." grunted Goyle.

"My God! He talks!" Harry said, feigning surprise.

"Shut up."

"Make me!"

And so it went on and on. Throughout the barrage of insults, Eriol watched Draco closely and he couldn't help but notice that he kept on stealing glances at Tomoyo. For some reason, it gave him an odd feeling. It was almost like jealousy.

Ron, finally getting tired of the argument, took out his wand and pointed it threateningly at Draco, Crabbe and Goyle. "Honestly! Can't you three take a bloody hint? Get. Out." he said desperately. It was evident that he was beyond annoyed and was going to crack soon.

Draco leaned on the door. "Sorry Weasley, we don't want to." he replied lazily.

Ron's face screwed up in concentration. He suddenly smiled as if he came to a conclusion. Without warning, he yelled, "Stupefy!!" Hell, if they weren't going to get out voluntarily, he was going to drag them out. Ron had managed to hit Goyle and he was now sprawled across ground.

Draco stared in shock. "Watch it Weasley! You almost hit me!" he yelled.

Ron rolled his eyes. "Really? I hadn't noticed!" he said sarcastically.

Ron was about to repeat the spell when his wand flew out of his hand and fell into Eriol's. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm quite sure that we don't want 2 unconscious people on the ground." he said, twiddling the wand in his hand. Suddenly, Goyle glowed red and his eyes snapped open. He slurred his words as he tried to stand up. Eriol looked at Draco. "I insist that you leave." he said calmly.

Draco rolled his eyes and left with Crabbe and Goyle (who was having difficulty walking straight - wait, that's nothing new!) trudging along behind him.

Harry, who had been watching in amazement, looked at Hermione and was surprised once again. She was casually sitting down with a book in hand as if nothing was going on. "Er… Hermione?"

She looked up from her book and smiled. "Finally! Malfoy's gone!" she said, shutting her book.

Harry was flabbergasted. "Mione, don't tell me you just missed all of that!"

"I just Stunned Goyle!" Ron said, eyes wide.

"And he was about to Stun Malfoy too, when -"

"Eriol took my wand and resuscitated Goyle!"

"He didn't even have a wand!"

"It was bloody brilliant! But I'm sure I could have taken on Malfoy just the same."

Harry and Ron were still amazed at what had been just displayed, but Hermione looked unfazed. "I saw what happened, you know. It's kind of hard to ignore something like that!" she said.

"And you're not one bit surprised?" asked Harry.

"Not really." she replied with a smile.

"How could you not be?" Ron asked incredulously.

"He reminds me a lot of this magician I read about in this book! Clow Reed."

Eriol paled slightly. "He's in a book?" he asked disbelievingly. He had no recollection of Clow ever appearing in a book.

"Yeah, right here…" Hermione said. She opened up the book she was reading, Great Magicians of All Time That Didn't Go Insane, and handed it to him.

He took the book and stared at its pages. A moving picture of a smiling Clow Reed stared back at him.

(A/N: How was that for a re-write? I'm sorry I didn't include much of Syaoran, Sakura, and Tomoyo. They will definitely have more of a role next chapter! =) I'm not sure if the next chapter will be changed drastically or not… we'll see! ^_^)
