Touya: Geez. That inspires confidence.

Anime_angel123: Really now.

Murasaki: Hey! I try to do my job.

Touya: *whisper: But no one said you had to be good at it.

Murasaki: HEY! What did you just say?

Touya: Nothing!

The Shadow Cards

Chapter two:

Pyro and Centra's attack

It had been four weeks since she'd met Yue and she had let down her barriers countless times. I should go and train. Shihiro might want to join me. Don't want Pyro and Centra getting the best of us.

Her mind made up, Kaguya picked up her moon orb staff and made her way toward her training hall.

Little did she know it, Yue was following her and had been since this morning. He had a bad feeling something was going to happen today, so he didn't let his mistress go out of his sight.

She must have realized this however, because just as Yue came up behind her, she turned around, her staff in hand ready to fight.

When Kaguya saw it was only Yue, she dropped her defenses and stared at her angel of a guardian. "And what are you doing following me around?" She demanded, not in the mood for another one of Yue's word games.

Yue looked to the floor in shame, he knew he would probably be punished. "Forgive me, mistress. I was only trying to protect you."

Kaguya was outraged. "I don't need protection in my own house!" She yelled and then continued to the training dojo, leaving a stunned Yue behind.

Yuna had seen this and decided to step out of the shadows. "If Yue loves mistress this much, why don't you just tell her?" She rolled her eyes at Yue's answer. "She'd be digusted by me. She'd cast me out and never talk to me again."

Yue's answer didn't seem to please his sister image. "She would not! I know her to be better than that, Yue!" Yue was about to say something in his defense when his other master, Shihiro walked in on the conversation.

"What's going on?" Shihiro asked, eyeing the guardians. His curiosity grew as Yuna semi-glared at Yue. "Yue still hasn't told Mistress." Shihiro rolled his eyes and let his gaze fall onto Yue. "You haven't told her yet?" He asked. Shihiro had been aware Yue had strong feelings for his sister for quite some time now.

Yue eyed the training dojo door with longing to tell his mistress what was in his heart, but feared her rejection. Yuna seemed to sense this. "There is nothing to fear, brother Yue. The worst that could happen is she could tell you that she doesn't love you, and the best thing that could happen is she could feel the same way about you."

Yuna hoped she got through to her brother with her words. She grinned triumphantly as Yue nodded and opened that dojo door to slip inside. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a husky voice in her ear. "What shall we do until those two are finished talking?" Yuna turned around and smirked. "What does mater have in mind?" She asked as she pressed her lips into his in a deep, crushing kiss.

Kaguya had only begun her stretches when she heard the dojo door open. She turned around expecting to see her brother, but instead saw her over-protective guardian.

"What do you want now?" She asked, fire burning in her eyes. Under her gaze, Yue felt powerless. He knew he should have felt so in the presence of his Mistress, but he felt especially felt powerless now that he had developed feelings for the sorceress.

Kaguya's patience was usually thin and Yue wasn't helping things. She studied him as she sensed nervousness in him. He was twirling a loose piece of his complex white-silver robe and staring at her.

"Yue? What is it?" She asked again, this time softly as she made her way toward him, which seemed to make him even more nervous. When she was standing right in front of him, she noticed his breathing pace. It became sharp and rapid.

What's wrong with him? Kaguya thought to herself as she laid an arm onto his. "Yue, what's wrong?" She asked again, not bothering to hide her concern.

Yue was having a hard time controlling his nerves as his mistress neared him. His mind told him to run, but his legs were frozen into place. He felt his breath unconsciously speed up as he began to struggle for air. "Mistress…"

Yue asked as he looked at the floor.

"Yes?" Kaguya replied slowly. She watched as Yue stared at the ground, waiting for an explanation.

"I…." Yue began, but he couldn't force the words out of his now dry mouth. He looked back up at Kaguya and almost lost his ability to speak and looked back at the ground.

Kaguya by now was getting irritated at whatever Yue was trying to say. She placed her hand onto his chin and forced Yue to look her in the eye. "What is it?" Kaguya ordered rather than asked.

Yue's eyes widened as he was now pinned against a wall and forced to look the one he loved in the eye. "I…" Yue began and lifted his hand to rest upon hers.

Kaguya was surprised by Yue's choice of actions. "You what?" She asked, dropping her guard completely, Yue noticed this and took full advantage of it. Yue took Kaguya's wrists and flipped her against the wall, her eyes were wide with panic.

Kaguya was in a slight bit of panic for Yue had never done anything like this to her. Her thoughts told her to move, but her limbs and her heart betrayed her.

Yue looked into Kaguya's eyes and whispered the words he had feared to. "I…love you." His insides twisted as he closed his mouth onto hers.

Kaguya had never felt such pleasure before and at first didn't know how to respond to it. Yue had forgotten about her wrists and snaked his arms around her waist. Kaguya closed her eyes and gave into the electricity that surrounded Yue and herself (literally) and circled her arms around his neck.

Yue (A/N: Geez. I wonder where he learned to kiss from?) slid his tongue across Kaguya's bottom lip and Kaguya opened her mouth, welcoming his tongue. As she slid her own onto his, an all battle for `power' began. Kaguya slid it where ever she could; onto his lips, over his teeth, and on the roof of his cavern.

Yue had lost himself in the kiss of Kaguya Reed (A/N: I think his last name is Reed…). He clutched her desperately and supported her body. As he lost thought of where he was, he lost balance and landed on the floor, taking Kaguya with him.

Kaguya's lungs burned from lack of oxygen, so she parted, reluctantly. She breathed heavily as she stared into her gaurdian's eyes. In them her saw love, kindness, and lust.

"What did you say?" She whispered as she laid a gentle kiss upon Yue's mouth. As she parted, she saw Yue's eyes were closed and he was breathing hard. She then realized he was lying on top of him.

Blushing, she got off of him and looked to the floor. "I…I'm sorry." She managed to whisper. She gasped as she felt a cold hand place itself on her right cheek. "What I said before…I said `I love you'." As Yue's word sank into Kaguya, she felt her barriers melt away completely.

As she turned to Yue, he felt his heart and hopes rise as she saw her smile. Kami, how he loved her smile! It made her look like an angel all by it's own. "I love you too." She said and she began to twirl a lock of Yue's long hair. Yue smiled and entangled his free right hand into her long ebony black hair.

Kaguya jumped as she heard a crash come from the main hall. She ran for the door, Yue (A/N: Flying, of coarse) on her heels. As she reached the main hall, what she saw both angered her and frightened her to death. Her brother's and her arch rivals, Pyro and Centra, were standing in the entrance hall, a dagger shining with what was no doubt her father's blood in Pyro's hand.

Anger seared through her veins as Pyro ran a hand through his blood red hair. "This could have been avoided, you know." He taunted as he came in closer to her. Kaguya could feel Yue's anger towards Pyro. She turned her attention back to Pyro who's emerald gaze was fixated on her. "Give me the power of the Shadows." Pyro demanded.

Shihiro was lying on the floor of the entrance hall of which he had been attacked. Damn it! He should never have answered the door! He clutched his chest where he had been shot at with a strong thunder spell as he looked up and saw Centra center her cold gaze upon him. "See you in the future." She said.

"What are you talking about?" He demanded as he tried to stand up. Centra simply smirked and stabbed Shihiro with a magical dagger. "See you in the next life." She whispered in his ear as darkness claimed him. Centra dropped Shihiro's body triumphantly and turned back to her brother who was fighting Kaguya.

Yue magically defended his mistress as she battled Pyro. In all the time he'd known her, he never imagined she could ever be this angry. He was so caught up in awe, he didn't see Centra sneak behind him and bash him in the head.

Kaguya spun around as she heard a low scream come from Yue. Her eyes met an unconscious Yue lying on the ground. The Fly card activated, she flew to Yue's side, only to have a mystical blade plant itself into her stomach. She fell to the ground and landed hard as darkness claimed her as well.

Anime_angel123: Okay. Just so you guys know, this fic ISN'T over yet.

Murasaki: No. It'll take like a lot of chapters for this story to be over with.
