Card Captor Sakura Fan Fiction ❯ The Spirits of Power: A Tale of the Lost Tribe ❯ Sakura's First Villain ( Chapter 5 )
Chapter 5
Sakura's First Villain
It was a temple hidden within a mountain, and since it was a sleeping volcano, few wanted to enter. The fact that it was under water also added to the dilemma, which explains why this was the first sign of sentient life the place had seen in a long time. There was a room within this temple that was circular and about as large as an office, it had no light except for in the middle, and no one could place the source of that. This light illuminated a pedestal with a scepter on it.
Footsteps could be heard heading down the hallway to the circular room, the figure was hidden in the dark. At first thought you would swear he was alone, but to anyone who was sensitive to magic, you would swear there was another presence.
The man walked into the room silently, trying to be as quiet as possible. No sense in destroying something if I don't have to, he thought ominously. He seemingly glided up to the lighted area of the room, making it where anyone watching would see what he looked like, sort of. The man was wrapped in dark and tattered rags, looking like he had just thrown it all together.
This man didn't want to be known until he had the power he sought, a power that would allow him to control the world, to do what his ancestor almost did, but couldn't. He had already gathered together much magical power, and had been able to create some creatures, but he wanted more, and knew that this would take him one step farther, The Scepter of Creation.
The scepter had the power to create objects at will, but used with the Necromancer's Eye, he could create an army of undead monsters to obey his every command. There were many other artifacts of power he sought or already had, though many had no names, but he quickly figured out there power, he didn't rename himself Gradius Kahn for nothing.
He discovered his lineage after years of research, tracking family lines, and questioning various people. Finally, using an artifact he had found (Stole actually, it was in a museum), he discovered he was a descendent of Genghis Kahn. Not only that, he also had the blood of a powerful sorcerer running though him, and that's something that his ancestor lacked, but it spelled trouble for the world.
As the Kahn looked around the room, watching for traps and such, deciding it was best he summoned his most loyal servant. "Jin Kun, come to your master."
Jin Kun was a magically enhanced warrior, who had started out a blind and crippled beggar. Gradius had promised him great power, if he would serve him always, the beggar agreed. Jin Kun stood now at about six foot five and weighed about one hundred ninety pounds. Quick, strong, deadly, and absolutely loyal to his master, the perfect weapon. The first thing Jin kun did with his power, was to slaughter the brutes who had made him into a beggar.
The living weapon walked in, his stride confident and stern, and bowed before his master and kissed the grizzled hand. "What is your bidding my beloved master." Gradius knew everything that ran through Jin Kun's mind, and so knew that he was loyal, the man was grateful for his power, and would protect the old sorcerer no matter what, even if it meant death.
"Watch for danger, I don't wish to attract any magic sensing trouble makers." He mumbled a bit. "Why did this thing have to be in Hong Kong of all places?"
"Yes master!" He walked into the light, which made him more noticeable. Jin Kun wore a black sleeveless and loose fitting shirt that showed off his over muscular arms and chest. His pants, also loose fitting, appeared to be in the style of a fighter in a tournament. He only had hair on the back of his head, which was tied into a tail that reached just below his shoulders. He also had facial hair, black as night next to his paste white hair, the small beard was fixed into a sharp dagger like formation an inch long.
Where Gradius's voice was evil and menacing, Jin Kun's was strong and cruel. They were very different, yet both had the same goal, to have Gradius Kahn rule the world.
The old man smiled at his servant, knowing that he would do whatever he said, and reached for the scepter. A moment later a group of apparitions appeared, staring menacingly at the duo, the closest was in shreds before they could attack. The others looked at their fallen comrade then at the one who had destroyed it, Jin Kun stood there with his hand in a chopping position. The creatures looked amongst one another, thinking about how to go about this, one jumped at the warrior. IN that instant, a few things happened, first, the creature was in the air, heading to chop off Jin Kun's head, then the mans hand was alight with glowing red energy, which was used to slice at the thing a few dozen times, cutting it to shreds.
After a ten second skirmish, the rest of the things were gone, replaced by black and ugly ribbons.
"Hmm, stupid craetures, they should have know better to mess with a Kahn, come Jin Kun, we have work to do in Tokyo."
"Yes, my master!"
Just as they were leaving, Gradius absorbed the remains of the creatures into himself, feeding on their energy and magic power.
A/N: Well, Cardcaptor Sakura never really had any baddies before, so this will be something new for Sakura and her friends. Before you start trying to point out any baddies, Eriol was just trying to help Sakura, and the lady in the first movie wasn't really bad, just a bit confused.
