Meilin lead them through the corridors of the Icebreaker as it made its descent into the great depths of the sea talking as they went

"So where the hell were you out there Meilin? We almost got torn to shreds!" asked Chiharu

"Hey come on give me a break here! I already told you I'm not the one driving this mechanical monster. Go yell at Nakuru!" Meilin replied grinning wickedly.

"Hn," was Chiharu's only reply

"Meilin are we going to see Eriol?" Rika asked

"Yep, we're going to the common room so that we can get straight to business with the whole Clow Book thing." Meilin answered and then paused in thought for a moment before turning her head and speaking to Sakura and Tomoyo who were walking at the back of the group

"Eriol's the captain of this ship by the way and one badass wizard at that. Though you wouldn't think so cause he appears so polite and quiet but don't let that decieve you he's a real sly bastard if you ask me."

Sakura and Tomoyo mearly nodded still in a shocked silence. Wizard? Did she say wizard? Both Sakura and Tomoyo were feeling greatly overwhelmed. Meilin cocked an eyebrow

"You two mute or something?"

"Meilin don't be rude!" chastised Naoko

"No, I'm not mute." Sakura said softly

"Christ! So it can talk then!" Meilin cried out

"She spoke just fine when she was threatening Rika with her own blaster," grinned Chiharu airily and Sakura blushed embarrassed at the memory. Meilin laughed loudly

"And I'll bet you didn't even raise an eyebrow huh Rika? Smooth bitch I'll shock you one of these days!"

Rika mearly smiled and stopped walking. They had reached the common room. Meilin pushed a button on a side panel and the door slid open. The common room was reasonably small considering the size of the entire ship but it was cozy. It was painted a light blue with plain grey carpets, apparently the interior decorator had been dull. In one corner stood a small kitchen with a stove, fridge and bench. In the other there was a desk with computer equipment and a videophone and in the far corner from the door was a large L shaped couch, a small coffee table and a few armchairs and this is where the room's occupants were situated.

A young man stood up from one of the armchairs and turned to face them. He was not much older than the rest of the people in the room though he was tall around 6' and his deep blue eyes framed by glasses shone with great wisdom and age and with just a hint of mischief. His dark hair was blue almost black, his bangs falling over a pale forehead. He wore black pants and a blue shirt that was the same color as his eyes. He had a placid smile making him look kindly and when he spoke his voice was a calm, controlled baritone.

"Rika, Naoko, Chiharu. It's good to see you back in one piece. I hope there weren't too many problems."

Chiharu grumbled something under her breath which Sakura and Tomoyo couldn't quite catch. Rika gave her a good hard nudge in the ribs before speaking

"Yes everything went well enough Eriol, and we were able to find just what we needed, this is Sakura the Cardmistress." Gesturing to Sakura.

Eriol nodded thanks to Rika before turning to face Sakura looking her once up and down before settling his gaze on her eyes. Sakura couldn't move under his gaze. Those deep blue eyes boring straight into hers, seeming to look right through her skin and into her very mind and soul. Then abruptly he broke the gaze, his smile broadening

"A pleasure to meet you Cardmistress Sakura, my name is Hiiragisawa Eriol but just call me plain Eriol." He then brought his gaze to Tomoyo who flushed a deep red "And who is this charming young woman?" Tomoyo's blush intensified

"Tomoyo," she said

"A pleasure to meet you as well Miss Tomoyo"

Eriol said then gestured to the couch and chairs

"Please sit down as you are no doubt tired and confused after your ordeal."

Sakura and Tomoyo sat together on the couch as did Meilin, Naoko, Chiharu and Rika. Eriol resumed his seat in the armchair opposite them. Eriol frowned slightly as if remembering something

"Where's Syaoran?" he asked and Meilin snorted loudly

"Off brooding somewhere of course. I swear he is the most anti-social creature I have ever known…. He's my cousin by the way" she added for Sakura and Tomoyo

As if on cue the door to the common room slid open and a young man walked in that made Sakura's mouth go bone dry. He was so HOT!!! He was around 5'10 dressed in black pants with a dark green almost black shirt under a black leather jacket, which reached his mid thigh and black fingerless gloves. He had long, messy, dark brown hair that had probably never seen a brush in its life, lightly tanned skin, mouth set in a frown and the most intense, alluring amber eyes which flashed with impatience and a touch of anger.

"Ahh Syaoran! I was just about to call you."

"Hn," was his only reply as he crossed the room. He reached them but did not sit down. His eyes fell on Sakura looking her up and down taking in her entire appearance and she felt herself freeze as those beautiful eyes of his settled on hers. Oh god she was blushing, oh god this guy was too gorgeous to be real.

"Syaoran meet Sakura and Tomoyo. Sakura and Tomoyo meet Li Syaoran." Eriol said unaffected by Syaoran's brash and somewhat rude reply

"So this is the great Cardmaster?" he said with no small hint of sarcasm

Sakura felt her heart sink. This guy wasn't exactly being friendly in fact he was mocking her and she knew it. He wasn't looking at her anymore but staring at the wall leaning up against the back of Eriol's armchair with his arms folded on his chest. Eriol didn't seem to notice Syaoran's rudeness

"Well now that we are all here we can begin. Sakura you are no doubt very confused about this entire Cardmaster ordeal so I am going to try and clarify things for you if you'll allow me." Sakura nodded and Eriol continued

"A great many years ago a man named Clow Reed lived. He was a great and powerful sorcerer the most powerful of his time and he used his great powers to create spirits, each with its own name and power. These spirits were so powerful that he couldn't fully control them so he sealed each one in a card called a Clow card and placed them in a book along with a guardian beast in the seal to ensure that they couldn't escape. For if they were to escape or if they fell into the wrong hands they could cause a great deal of damage. " Eriol paused there as if waiting for this all to sink in before continuing

"Clow Reed prophesised a great many things but even he couldn't see what was coming for he had a son named Draye who was a sorcerer like his father but he was also power hungry and his mind twisted and evil. He sought control of the world so he stole the Clow Book and attempted to use their power to open a gate to the world of darkness where demons and other dark creatures dwelled. Clow Reed found out about this and sought to stop his son but he was too late and the gate was open but nevertheless Clow Reed attacked and a few of the cards escaped, the gate closed and Draye was destroyed. But this came at a price as Clow Reed was mortally wounded and drained and though the gate had been closed it had been to late to stop demons from crossing from their world to ours. Just before he died he prophesised that a great celestial being named the Cardmaster would come forth and free the world from the death and decay which the demons brought from there world. And this is where you come in Sakura for you are the one that he prophesised about. You are the Cardmaster." Eriol finished and leaned forward in his chair looking intently at Sakura his smile gone and replaced with a somber look.

Sakura dropped her gaze to the floor. So much had happened in this one day, she couldn't take it all in, it was too much for her. She couldn't believe this story, how could she it was absurd. Magic? Sorcerers? How could she be some great celestial being? She was just little, insignificant Sakura who grew up living on the streets in poverty and rags. Oh god this was too much and she was too tired everyone was staring at her while she sat in silence. Tomoyo placed her hand on hers.

"She doesn't get it." Syaoran spoke breaking the thick silence and everyone's eyes went from Sakura to Syaoran who hadn't moved from where he stood

"She has grown up without knowing about magic and she cannot hope to understand the responsibility of being the Cardmistress. You're wasting your breath Eriol." Syaoran's eyes moved from the wall to look first at Sakura and then at Eriol who was frowning ever so slightly. Sakura felt tears burning at the back of her eyes but she refused to let them fall. Syaoran's dismissal of her hurt more than it should of.

"I do not expect her to understand it all immediately Syaoran but that doesn't change the fact that she is the Cardmistress I'm sure of it and I know you can sense it to Syaoran. Syaoran grunted and turned back to the wall. Eriol sighed and looked directly at Sakura eyes kind and gentle.

"This is a great burden I have put on your shoulders Sakura and for that I am sorry. Neither I nor anyone in this room can begin to feel the utter confusion that you are feeling now but I assure you that things will become clearer. You are no doubt also very tired which mustn't be helping so I won't keep you hear much longer. However there is one more thing which we must address. Suppi would you please go get the book?"

Sakura and Tomoyo both looked very confused. Suppi? Who was that? Sakura then gave a shriek, as floating on the air next to her was what appeared to be a stuffed bear with blue wings.

"Who? What? Where? How?" Sakura stammered

The strange creature looked at her with a bored expression

"Who-my name is Spinel Sun. What- I am one of Eriol's guardians. Where- I've been on the couch next to you the whole time and How because you are too unobservant to notice me." It said before flying out the door.

Sakura and Tomoyo both sat there with such shocked expressions that Meilin burst out laughing

"Hahaha that Suppi. Don't mind her."

Promptly the Suppi came back with a book clasped in her paws that was so big she was swerving through the air dangerously off balance. With a few more flaps she dumped the book on the table and collapsed next to it.

"I'm never…carrying…that…thing…for you…again Eriol." She panted

Eriol gave a small chuckle.

"Thankyou Suppi."

Picking up the book Eriol looked up at Sakura.

"This Sakura is the Clow Book I told you about." He passed her the book, which she ran her fingers over gently in awe. Eriol continued

"I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't believe a word I said before so now I'm going to prove to you and also alleviate any other doubts."

He gave slight sideways glance at Syaoran who had finally stopped staring at the wall grumpily and was gazing intently at the book along with everyone else.

"Open it Sakura. You're the only one who can." Eriol finished

Sakura placed her hand on the front of the book running her fingers over the intricate seal on the front but didn't move any further to open it. The strangest feelings were coursing through her fingers and hand and up her arm. A strange warmth, a kind of tingling, a sort of familiarity. It felt like the book was calling to her asking her to open it. Her fingers moved to the golden clasp and after a small pause she opened the clasp. There was a click and then a harsh outtake of breath, it seemed that everyone had been holding their breath.

Suddenly the book's cover flung open of its own accord and golden beams of light ripped audibly from the insides of the book. The gasps of just about everyone in the room went unheard as a fierce wind blew up. Poor Suppi had to hide behind Eriol for fear of being blown away. Sakura gave a small cry as the light took on a ever more blinding strength before a strange creature formed in mid air a just hovered there while the wind and light died. It was a little like Suppi in appearance small, yellow and like a teddy bear, with white wings and a white tuft on the end of its tail. It then snapped open its eyes and mouth at the same time and yelled

"HEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"'

Sakura screamed in shock and jumped at the same time. The creature continued,

"How's it going everyone! Keroberos or Kero as you may call me, guardian beast of the seal at your service!" It then flew within an inch of Sakura's nose

"Sooooooo, you're the Cardmaster? Nice to meet you."

"Uh…hi." Was all that Sakura could manage.

"Don't talk to much huh? That's ok." Kero said grinning

"That's Keroberos?" asked Syaoran voice skeptical

"Yeah what's it to you kid?"

Syaoran narrowed his eyes

"Don't call me kid."

"Ok fine whatever brat."

Syaoran gave a scowl and used his hand to swat at Kero who was flying in the air next to him.

"Eriol you have to be kidding me. This thing can't be Keroberos. The guardian beast of the seal, the beast with the golden eyes. THAT is a stuffed animal."

"Why you little…I'll show you a stuffed animal. Prepare to cower at the feet of the beast with golden eyes KEROBEROS!!!" he yelled raising his little paws into the air.

Nothing happened.

"Huh? What on earth? Why can't I transform?" Kero was looking really confused

"Terrifying. Really terrifying" Syaoran drawled

Kero growled and bit down hard on Syaoran's finger who gave a yell a started to shake his hand desperately trying to get Kero off. It was an incredibly comical sight to everyone watching. Syaoran desperately shaking his hand trying to send Kero flying, Meilin was almost on the floor she was laughing so hard. Kero was eventually sent tumbling indignantly in the table and Syaoran inspected his injured finger.

"I don't get it. What happened? Why couldn't I transform?"

"Transform?" Sakura questioned

"Yeah into my true form. I would have had that stupid brat right cowed if I could."

Syaoran growled and Eriol took this chance to speak up

"Kero. You can't transform because some of the Clow cards including the four element cards have escaped."

"WHAT!!!!!!!!!"

Kero flew to the book, which was still in Sakura's hands and quickly started to count. At the end he put his head in his paws and moaned

"15! 15 cards gone. How could this happen?"

"Perhaps you should have done your job better?" Syaoran asked and Kero growled at the unwelcome advice

Meanwhile Sakura was gazing at the deck of cards that Kero had taken out of the book. She picked one up and inspected it. It had a picture of a large white bird on the front and on the bottom it had the words 'The Fly'

"So this is a Clow Card?"

"Yes Sakura." Eriol stated "There are 52 cards altogether but 15 of them have escaped and are out in the world creating all kinds of havoc that I don't wish to think about. Out of these 52 there are 4 element cards Wind, Water, Fire and Earth. These cards are the ones that supply Kero with power and allow him to reach his true form. We must get all the cards back if we are to have any hope in beating the demons."

"Demons?" Kero questioned

"Yes Kero. Years back Draye opened the gate to the land of darkness and the demons came forth and have destroyed the world as you once knew it."

"What!? Draye?! Oh that little shit I knew he'd screw something up, but THIS!?!?!" Kero ranted

"Kero. You must give Sakura the wand so that she can re capture the cards!" Eriol was getting just a little impatient with all the talking. Something had to be done now and they were just wasting time sitting here even though the explanations were necessary.

"Yes your right."

"Wait one minute here!" Sakura broke her own silence. "I never agreed to anything. Recapture the cards? I have no idea what your all talking about! I'm not going to do it! This is absurd! Can't someone else do it" Sakura was really frustrated now. Eriol got up from his chair and strode over to kneel beside Sakura. Looking up into her eyes his smile gone and replaced with a look of sorrow.

"Sakura. Whether you like it or not this is your destiny and no one else can do it for you. You can chose to ignore it if you wish but at what price. You are humanity's last hope. Without you we are all going to wither away and die. Do you really want that to happen Sakura? Do you really want those vile creatures to win?"

Sakura looked into Eriol's eyes they were full of a great sadness. The entire room was silent waiting for Sakura to say something.

"Al-alright. I'll do it." Sakura said with a sigh and Eriol smiled

"I knew I could count on you Cardmistress Sakura. Now we can begin. Kero do it."

"Alright then hold on to your hats folks. You'll need to stand up Sakura" Kero said rubbing his paws together

Kero closed his eyes and a faint golden glow appeared around him. Then suddenly the room disappeared. Everything went black except for where Kero and Sakura stood where a seal had appeared on the floor. Glowing lines depicting ancient symbols. The only thing about it Sakura recognised was the sun and the moon. Then Kero started to chant in a loud voice

"Guardian Spirits of Clow

Hear my voice and awaken

This being before you is Sakura

Destined to be the Cardmaster

I ask you to come forth and bestow upon her your magical powers

RELEASE" (A.N. Oh god that was TERRIBLE)

The seal on the ground pulsed so bright that Sakura had to shield her eyes. A great wind stated to blow causing her hair to fly about her face. Then appearing before her was a small orb of light, which formed into a key. Hovering there for a moment Sakura could barely depict out its birdlike features before it spun and began to grow. It lengthened and formed into a staff which hovered arms length from were Sakura stood dumbstruck and rooted to the spot. Then she heard Kero's voice barely reaching her through the roaring wind.

"Take the staff Sakura!"

Reaching out she hesitated before firmly grasping the staff. All around her flashed white before returning to the common room just as it had been before. She could see everyone again all staring at her. To avoid all their gazes she looked down to the staff. To put it simply it looked like a strange bird head on a stick made of a material Sakura didn't know. It wasn't how it looked that was strange to Sakura it was how it felt. A strange power was pulsing through her arm. It was like when she first held the book. The warm tingling and that strange sense of familiarity.

"And so it has begun." Eriol said breaking the silence

"Wow Sakura." Was all Tomoyo could manage.

Sakura looked over to her friend whose eyes were as wide as saucers

"You're now an official Cardmaster Sakura." Kero said smiling

"And no doubt you are exhausted and hungry so I won't keep you here any longer than needed." Eriol stated

Sakura nodded she was exhausted in more ways than one.

"Meilin could you please organize some clothing for our friends here and Chiharu and Naoko would you get them some food. Rika please show them to their quarters. I bid you all a goodnight."

And so the group split all the women filing out the door including Suppi who excused herself until it was only Syaoran and Eriol left. Syaoran who still hadn't made any attempt to move glared at Eriol.

"Not tired Syaoran?"

"Don't you think this is all a little foolish Eriol? Trusting this responsibility to a person we hardly even know? Not to mention the fact that she doesn't know a thing about magic."

"My dear friend you need to trust me. I am an excellent judge of character. I can see both Sakura and Tomoyo are good people worthy of our trust and as for the lack of magical knowledge well…It is a pity we couldn't find her sooner as she is rather old and her mind will not find it easy to grasp this. Nevertheless she has a great strength surely you can feel how powerful her aura is?"

"Raw power like hers can be dangerous."

"Which is where Kero comes in. He will teach her what she needs to know."

"Hn. And what about Tomoyo? I feel something strange about her."

"As do I but Sakura needs the moral support that only a friend can give."

Syaoran snorted

"I think your sweet on her. I noticed the looks you were giving her. And don't try to deny it because I always know when you're lying."

"No amount of dirt can hide beauty Syaoran and yes I do find her attractive."

"Whatever." Syaoran said in a tone that meant the conversation was over.

"Try to trust me on this Syaoran you'll see. Sakura will do fine."

"I will be the one to assess that Eriol." Syaoran walked to the door.

"Whatever you wish. Goodnight Syaoran."

Syaoran mearly gave a brief gesture of the hand before the door closed behind him leaving Eriol in the room alone. He sighed talking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes. Syaoran was clearly unhappy about this entire arrangement. Eriol just hoped that he wouldn't make it too difficult for her. As much as he liked his friend there was no denying that he could be a bit of a prick sometimes. He hoped that would change as he could see that while Syaoran would never admit it, he was lonely. Eriol could only pray that this wouldn't last forever. Syaoran had been right though. Eriol was very attracted to Tomoyo. Even with the rags and dirt Eriol could still see the beauty behind it and in her eyes. He smiled to himself slightly before moving to the door. Yes he was tired and no doubt so was she but he had to see her again and besides he was hungry. With that thought in mind he went out of the common room in search of Chiharu, Naoko and Meilin. He'd pay a little visit to Tomoyo and hope that something clicked otherwise he'd be spending the night wallowing in disappointment.

~*~

Tomoyo looked around the room that Rika had showed her too before bidding her goodnight. It was portioned into two rooms. The sleeping quarters, which held a simple cot and a table with two chairs and the bathroom. The bathroom was what Tomoyo was currently interested in as it held a bath/shower. Almost giddy with glee Tomoyo ran a bath and stripped off her tattered clothing. With a delighted sigh she slipped into the hot water. She could definitely get used to this.

"Sakura's no doubt ecstatic about this. She never could stand being dirty."

That thought brought a frown to Tomoyo's face. Sakura. Tomoyo in earnest was very confused about this past day but no doubt Sakura was feeling completely overwhelmed. Then again Sakura had always been strong, much stronger than she had ever been. If anyone could handle it, Sakura could and Tomoyo made a promise to herself then that she would always be beside Sakura to help because that's what a true friend should do. And it seemed as though she would need it because she certainly wouldn't be getting it from that Li guy he'd seemed somewhat unpleasant. Not like Eriol he'd been really nice. Tomoyo found herself smiling absently at the thought. Eriol, damn what a cutie. Those deep blue eyes, that soft smile and his deep, mellow voice. Tomoyo sighed. She hated to admit it but she was falling for the guy. But how could he o been attracted to her? She had been dirty and dressed in rags when they had met besides she hadn't said anything much the entire time, as she hadn't anything to impute, it had all been about Sakura. Tomoyo was frowning now as she combed the tangles out of her long, dark hair. So not only did he probably think she was a grubby little street rat, he also probably thought she had no personality.

"Oh god I'm depressing myself," she mused to herself when suddenly from the other room came the voice of the very person her thoughts were centered on.

"Tomoyo?" Eriol called out

"I'm in here Eriol. I'll be out in just one second." He heard her voice call back

He heard the sound of water splashing before a wet Tomoyo dressed in only a towel came out to meet him. He gave a harsh intake of breath. All the dirt had been washed away leaving behind pristine white skin, her long hair was plastered to her face and back and the fact that all she had on was a towel sent Eriol's hormones into overdrive.

"I can't believe anything this beautiful can be real." He thought to himself. He placed what he was carrying on the table. Holding up some clothing he passed them to her.

"Here. I hope you like them. I'm afraid there wasn't a big assortment so this is all that was in your size."

"Thankyou." Tomoyo said shyly taking the clothes back into the bathroom to change. When she came out she was wearing a short black shirt and a deep purple shirt. Her hair still damp but clean and free of tangles. Tomoyo blushed slightly when she noticed he was looking at her. She wished she could think of something to say.

"Beautiful." Eriol said and Tomoyo's blush intensified but a smile lit up her face and Eriol's heart leapt.

"I was wondering miss Tomoyo seeing that I wish to get to know you better and am also quite hungry would you mind joining me in a late dinner?"

They sat down and ate in silence for awhile before Tomoyo spoke up.

"Thankyou." She said

Eriol looked somewhat surprised so Tomoyo continued.

"Thankyou for being so kind. This is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for Sakura and me. I only wish I could repay you somehow"

"That smile of yours is payment enough." Eriol said without thinking then cursed his own boldness. Tomoyo's blush was a fiery red but she graced him with another smile. Eriol inwardly sighed with relief he hadn't blown it after all. More silence in which both persons gave the other one looks when they weren't watching them.

"Well Tomoyo I won't keep you any longer as you are no doubt very tired. I hope this day hasn't been too overwhelming."

He said clearing up the plates and heading for the door. Turning back to Tomoyo he smiled and bid her goodnight before leaving. Tomoyo gave a happy smile and fell back onto the bed. He had wanted to get to know her and he thought her smile was beautiful. A warm feeling was in her heart and she couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't stop thinking about him. Yes there was no doubt, she was hopelessly in love with Eriol, she could only hope that he returned her affections. With that thought Tomoyo rolled onto her side and found sleep.

~*~

Sakura had like Tomoyo taken a bath. Meilin had brought her clothing and food and figuring she might like the company brought her own dinner as well. Sakura had dressed in black leather pants and a blue shirt and around her neck was the key on a piece of leather Meilin had also brought. Her auburn hair glistened falling freely to her waist and her bright emerald eyes shone within her dirt free face. Kero sat with them on the table stealing bits of their dinners when they weren't watching.

"I'm sorry about my cousin. Just don't listen to him."

Sakura frowned and absently grabbed the key around her neck.

"I think he's right actually. I'm honestly not sure I can do this let alone believe it."

"Don't worry about it Sakura. You'll be fine." Meilin assured her

"I have every confidence in you Sakura. And besides I'll be beside you the whole way. You can't go wrong!" Kero said

"Oh yeah I'm sure Sakura will find real comfort with the help of a stuffed animal."

"You know you and your cousin are a lot alike. Your both loud mouthed brats."

"Excuse me!"

"Please, please stop. Both your words are encouraging Thankyou." Sakura said smiling slightly

"Hey no problem. Oh god it's now really, really late. I'd better get going and let you rest. Hope you can sleep after today Sakura. Don't forget we're beside you."

"Thankyou Meilin I appreciate that more than you'll ever know."

And with that Meilin left the room leaving a very tired Sakura behind.

"You know you'd better get some sleep Sakura. You have a big day of learning ahead of you." Kero said and Sakura nodded yawning. She'd sleep on this and try to let it all sink in. Slipping beneath the covers. She yawned again while Kero flew over and turned out the light before settling on the pillow next to her.

"G'night Sakura"

"Goodnight Kero"

~*~

Meilin came out of Sakura's room just as Eriol came out of Tomoyo's next to it.

"Ohhh and what were you doing in there Eriol?" came Meilin's teasing question

"That isn't any of your business."

Meilin smirked

"Yeah whatever you sly bastard. Your infatuated it's written all over you face."

Infatuated wasn't the word for it. Hopelessly in love would be a better term. He may not of known Tomoyo for very long but his soul felt an unexplainable pull towards hers. Meilin waving a hand in front of his face snapped Eriol out of his reverie.

"Man you've got it bad. You're of with the fairies." Meilin smirked before turning and starting to walk away

"Well I'll see ya tomorrow lover boy." She laughed all the way down the corridor

~*~

The next morning Sakura woke to find her bed unusually soft. She sighed but didn't open her eyes. What a strange dream. She figured she'd just eaten something rotten making her have such a strange dream. There was something tugging at her hair stopping her from drifting back to sleep. She tried to ignore it but the pulling got harder so she swatted at whatever it was with her hand. It still didn't stop so annoyed Sakura opened her eyes only to have a second pair of eyes stare back at her.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Kero jumped about a mile in the air while Sakura looked wildly around the room.

"Oh god. It wasn't a dream."

"Nope though next time could you please try and leave my eardrums intact?"

"Oh I'm sorry Kero." Sakura said moaning and running her fingers through her hair.

It must have been quite late in the morning as someone had already left breakfast on the table. Getting up Sakura began to ravenously devour her food. She could get used to this. When she finished Kero flew over to the table.

"Sakura. I think now would be a good time to start your training as the Cardmaster."

Sakura nodded and Kero went into his explanation of how the key and the cards worked together and also how to seal the cards. Suddenly fast footsteps were heard in the corridor and Meilin burst through her door.

"Sakura!" she panted

"Meilin what is it?"

"Eriol and Syaoran say there is a Clow Card nearby!"

Hehehehehehehe I love cliffhangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry this chapter is all talk no action but now that the explanations are over we can get to the good stuff. And if its really crap I'm sorry but give me a break I wrote this just now and it's 2:14 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hehehehe just a tip for you all. Don't drink 3 cups of tea before you go to bed…can anyone say caffeine buzz?

I'm wasn't sure if Suppi was a boy or a girl. Remember I haven't seen that series but my sister assured me it was a girl

Yes to anyone who's noticed Meilin is quite OOC in this story but I still kept the fiery spirit or at least I think I did. R+R and tell me what you think of this. I'm going to go to bed now methinks.

Ja ne *yawns*

*I just read over it again. Oh god this is crap!
