AU. In this fic, the Clow Cards have never been released, Sakura never met Syaoran, and there will be no Kero, Suppi, etc. (In short, the series never happened.) This story experiments on how the two would react to each other when their paths crossed, given that they grew up in two totally different worlds. :-}

Prologue

 

 

 

 

Bright yellow gradually expanded throughout the sky as a blazing ball of fire emerged from the horizon. Its endless song filled the surroundings, illuminating each part of the globe with its splendor. Every creature, from the smallest insects to the majestic mammals, slowly stirred to the caress of a newly found light.

 

It was finally morning in Tomoeda.

 

Emerald green eyes opened to see the wakefulness of a world she knew too well. Another day had dawned in the life of Sakura Kinomoto.

 

The eighteen year old looked into the old full-length mirror confined in a wooden frame and faced the image of a girl with auburn hair, approximately five feet four. Her layered tresses extended up to her shoulders, each strand as smooth as a finely sculpted glass ornament. Her thin pink lips slightly curved upward as she gazed at her reflection.

 

She turned away from the mirror and silently walked out the door. It was time for her to get going.

 

A brilliant and determined student, an outstanding athlete, a spirited cheerleader, and a loyal friend that you can count on; Sakura is all these and more. Everything went her way like clockwork. Everybody loves her. Her world is filled with vivid colors and lively songs. No worries whatsoever. That is exactly how she wants to keep it. And so far, nothing stood in her way.
