Cowboy Bebop Fan Fiction ❯ Nothing More Than Fiction ❯ Nothing More Than Fiction ( Chapter 1 )
Disclaimer: Almost forgot this… nope, I don't own Spike, Faye, or anything from the anime `Cowboy Bebop'. If I did, Spike would be real and in my bed. Then Fuzzy would visit, and we'd have LOTS of fun.
Ahem.

Nothing More Than Fiction

Spike considers his relationship with Faye while at a night club on some planet. However, the last thing he expects is to see the violet haired beauty there, just waiting for him. Both know this can't last, but they do what they have wanted to do for so long, even if it's just for one night.
- -
Where was he again?
Last night seemed like a blur. The every day fight with some thugs, counting the money for your average bounty, the usual fight with Faye, taking the Swordfish II to some planet - all a day's work in the life of Spike Spiegel.
Spike frowned as he downed a shot glass of whiskey. That bitch - Faye Valentine - the cause of every one of his headaches. She was always on his case for something, whether it be money, his past, whatever. Why couldn't she just leave him alone?
Music filled his ears as Spike took in his surroundings. Apparently, he was in come kind of night club. Multi-colored lights flashed in all directions, lighting up the dark club. The floor was a sea of deep black tiles, the walls matching the design of the floor. Spike sat at a silver and black bar, numerous people lined up near him. Most of the people were out on the dance floor, dancing the night away as if nothing was wrong. All they did was dance - not think, not worry. Just drinking and dancing the night away.
The red headed bartender refilled Spike's glass with whiskey, eventually walking away to attend to her other customers. Spike stared at the drink, bringing it to his lips. Frowning again, he turned around, his back leaning against the bar.
Back to Faye. Why exactly had they fought? Oh yeah - she asked about Julia.
Julia. Spike felt as if a needle pricked his heart when he thought of her. She was as beautiful as she was trouble, her blonde hair shining like the sun, her eyes like ice.
Spike scoffed. Yeah, ice. Ice carved into a million fucking daggers and stabbing him in the back.
He often wondered why he still fawned over her. She was a huge part of his past, but she had betrayed him. She chose her own freedom over Spike. Spike had wanted the best for Julia, but he had loved her, and he had hoped she would want to spend the rest of her life with him.
But she chose her freedom over him. He sounded selfish, but who wouldn't want the love of their life to desire a life with them?
Perhaps he didn't love her anymore. He hadn't seen the woman for such a long time… maybe his feelings had changed.
Spike downed the glass, the liquid flowing down his throat. He turned slightly to put the glass back on the bar, when he noticed something… odd. His eyes turned to the dance floor, a circular part of the floor elevated about a foot off from the floor. Dancing on top of that circle was a woman.
Faye.
She's lost in coma where it's beautiful
Intoxicated from the deep sleep, deep sleep
Do you wonder what it's like?
This song… he had never heard it before, but it fit the mood perfectly. She looked so unreal, her violet hair shining in the light, her eyes closed, hiding her emerald eyes from his view. She wasn't wearing her usual yellow outfit Spike liked so much.
Spike shook his head, scratching the back of his head, twirling a little of his green hair between his fingers. He had to admit, that woman was the sexiest bitch he had ever met. Her beauty outmatched even that of Julia's, but her attitude really caught him. Faye was outspoken and independent, loudmouthed and bitchy. And for some odd reason, despite how much it drove him crazy, he felt great when she was around.
Secretly, every time she left to go somewhere, he would miss her terribly. Whenever she was kidnapped or ran away, he would voice how he did not care where she was. However, inside his heart skipped a beat. He always wanted to know where she was.
He could stare at her all day. Simple black boots adorned her feet, not really moving as she danced. Her dancing was all about the hips, swaying and sashaying to the beat of the rock song. She wore dangerously low jeans, the strings of her thong appearing above them, resting on her hips. A silver hoop hung from her navel, sparkling in the lights.
And her shirt. It was a metallic gold, gleaming in the light. From what Spike could see, he assumed that it was just the golden cloth itself, and a chain hooking one side of the shirt around her back, and hooking to the other side. It was a v-shaped halter top, a little cloth barely covering her nipples. Now Spike was no pervert, but that woman showed off her breasts like there was no tomorrow, and of course, being the man that he definitely was, he noticed this fact.
Dangling from her each of her ears was a golden hoop, matching the gold on her shirt. Her lips were painted a sexy blood red, and her eyes were outlined in black.
She was a vixen, tempting every man watching her to come to her. His eyes followed her every move, fixated on this goddess.
One of her hands absently traced over her chest, causing Spike's breathing to hitch. He'd need a cold shower after this.
Once she opened her eyes, her emerald eyes locking with his brown ones. However, her movements never stopped. In fact, she seemed to move her hips a little more, her hands touching numerous parts of her body.
Spike gulped back a moan. He found himself wishing that those hands were his own, exploring her body.
Wait, this was Faye. Not Julia. Why was he… fantasizing about Faye?
`Spiegel, you just had this conversation with yourself. Julia is your past. She is not the one you love.' He mentally scolded himself.
`But, then who do I love?'
`No one.'
Spike frowned, his attention returning to Faye. But she was not there. In fact, she was right beside him, her hand resting on his shoulder.
"Fancy meeting you here." She stated, ordering a shot of whiskey for herself.
Living in a permanent imagination
Sleeping to escape reality
But you like it like that
"Yeah…" he managed to say, watching as she put the glass to her lips, drinking the liquid. He wanted to throw the glass to the side, replacing the glass with his lips.
Faye sighed, placing the glass back down on the bar. She absently stroked her stomach, her eyes lost in thought.
Maybe it was the alcohol, but Spike felt daring. He moved his right hand to her neck, his thumb tracing against her jaw line.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked, his eyes pouring into hers.
At his touch, a faint blush appeared upon Faye's cheeks. "Oh, nothing really. Just… what am I going to do for the rest of my life? I don't want to be a bounty hunter forever. I want to pay off my debts and move on. But…"
"But what?" His hand stopped its movement, resting on her shoulder, gently massaging it.
"I want to live with someone. I want to spend my life with a significant other." Faye chuckled, smiling at Spike. "Yes, the strong Faye Valentine just admitted she wants a boyfriend."
Spike returned the smile, chuckling himself. "Who would have thought."
Faye blushed a little more, biting her lower lip. She quickly took in his appearance.
He wore his usual outfit, but without the jacket. His forest green hair was tousled as usual, one hand in his pocket. He was missing his usual cigarette, but that smirk was still planted on his lips. Faye often wondered if there was ever a time he didn't smirk.
Faye noticed that his yellow shirt was open a little, exposing a little of his chest. She found herself wanting to rip of the damn thing, wanting to allow her hands to roam his chest freely, wanting to feel every defined muscle on him.
Shaking these thoughts from her head, Faye remembered that she could never have him. Sure she wanted him - who wouldn't? He was a jackass most of the time, but any girl would want this man, whether it be in a relationship, or in bed.
Faye wanted both. She didn't like him the first time she met him, hell, she wanted to shoot that damn smirk off his face. But eventually, his personality grew on her, and she found herself fantasizing about him. She wanted him so much, but she could not have him because of that bitch Julia.
"Do you want to dance?" Spike asked, ripping Faye back to reality.
She was tired from dancing before, but if it was with Spike, of course she would. She nodded, taking his hand and leading him out onto the dance floor.

`Cause it's better than nothing
Faye rested her right hand on his shoulder, the other hand settling down on Spike's forearm. Spike wrapped an arm around her waist, his hand resting on the small of her back. He pulled her against him, his free hand grasping the one on his forearm. He pressed his hips against hers, grinding with her to the beat of the song.
Faye blinked a few times, a little uncomfortable with this situation. She had danced before, but never with Spike. She didn't complain as he held her hand, his fingers entwining with hers.
That damn blush appeared upon her cheeks yet again as he touched her, his hips sensually grinding against hers. His eyes caught hers and Faye soon found herself lost in his gaze.
What was she doing? This was wrong - she should not be doing this! Spike loves that whore, Julia, and not her.
Right?
"Spike?" Faye spoke, her eyes still locked with his.
"Mmm?" was his lazy reply.
"Do you still love Julia?"
Spike frowned for a moment, but continued his movements with Faye. "I honestly don't know. I don't know if she is dead, or if she is alive. I don't know if she still looks the same, or if anything has changed." Spike sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. "She's a mystery to me."
"But you still love her?"
Spike chuckled, smirking at her. "Why, are you jealous?"
Faye snorted. "Of Julia? Certainly not."
Spike shook his head. "To answer your question, I guess I do still love her. But that love is not as strong as it used to be."
Faye nodded, understanding him. A part of her wanted him to just forget all about Julia and love her.
She had long lusted for Spike. The first time she saw him, she regarded him as just a pretty face. His constant attitude drove her crazy, but sometimes in a loving way. Faye wanted Spike so much, but she knew she could never have him. Julia, despite how much Spike denied it, would always hold his heart.
Maybe he would… no, it wasn't possible. He wouldn't… would he?
Faye gathered up her courage. Tonight was the night. This was as close as she was going to get with Spike, and she was going to savor the moment.
Closing her eyes, Faye lifted her neck, placing a kiss on Spike's lips.
Now that control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She dreams in digital
Spike took a few seconds to register just what was going on. He had been dancing with Faye, holding her hand, talking about Julia… and now her lips were pressed to his.
He lost control.
Spike closed his eyes, firmly kissing her in return. He smirked when he felt her gasp at his movement. Faye soon relaxed at his touch, and slid her tongue along Spike's lower lip. Spike groaned, loving the feel of her tongue on him. He slid his tongue out to meet hers, sliding it into her mouth.
Faye moaned as his tongue entered her mouth, her tongue darting back to meet his. His tongue wrapped around hers, massaging it sensually. His hand moved from the small of her back to rest on her bottom.
Gunshots rang out in the night club, causing Spike to pull away. Grabbing Faye's hand, he ran for the door, mentally cursing the person who fired the gun. Of course - the one night he actually was busy, there was a fight.
The people poured out from the club, running in all directions. Spike tightened his grip on Faye, hoping she would not lose him in the crowd. He continued to run, hoping to get out of the club and safe on the streets.
However, his hand soon lost grip of hers. Turning around, he frantically screamed for her.
"Faye! Faye, where are you?!"
He lost sight of the violet-haired beauty, the crowd continuing to push him further out into the streets. He continued to cry for her as he eventually reached the street, but his cries were never answered.
Spike leaned against the wall of the night club, hoping she'd wait for him there.
A half an hour passed. Faye had never shown up.
Spike scratched the back of his head. Maybe… maybe she didn't want to be found. Maybe the kiss was too much for her.
Or maybe she just didn't want him.
Spike let out a defeated sigh, closing his eyes. As the bounty hunter left the club to find a hotel, a lone tear fell down his cheek. He made his way down the streets of the town, wondering where the hell he was.
He found a motel soon enough. He had a little money, so he could at least get a room. After buying his room and getting the key, Spike jogged up two flights of stairs to his hotel room.
Spike slammed the door behind him. He was beyond pissed. Faye was missing, his love life left much to consider, and he had no idea where he was. He didn't even know where he put the Swordfish II!
Spike walked towards the back of the hotel room, planning to take a shower.
However, the water was already running.
Frowning, Spike cautiously approached the shower, ready in case of an attack. He noticed a pair of familiar blue jeans lying on the floor, as well as a very familiar gold shirt.
Faye?
Breathing a faint sigh of relief, Spike let his guard down, knowing he was safe.
But Faye was not. She was not kept safe from what was about to happen to her. She would never know what was to occur when she exited the shower.
Hell, even Spike could not have seen it coming.
And your pixel army can't save you now
My finger's on the kill switch
I remember I used to compose your dreams
Control your dreams
"Damn hotels… you can never work the shower heads." Faye complained as she tried to turn off the shower. After a few seconds of fumbling around and cursing, the damn thing finally turned off, a few drops of water still exited the spout.
"Screw it." Satisfied, Faye exited the shower. Shivering, Faye cursed again as she noticed that the towels were near the bed.
Irritated that she had to walk the extra distance, Faye shook her head as she made her way to her bed.
"Looking for this?"
Faye screamed out as she jumped backwards, eyes as wide as possible. There stood Spike Spiegel, holding Faye's very much needed towel in his hand. His usual smirk was there, his eyes locked with hers.
Thank God he wasn't looking any lower.
Faye yanked the towel from his hand, covering her naked body as quickly as possible. His eyes respectfully never left hers, allowing her to have a small taste of privacy. The two stood there, eyes locked in an epic battle for nothing.
Spike was fighting a losing battle. He wanted so much to just take his eyes away from hers to look at the rest of her body. Who wouldn't? How he and Jet managed to keep themselves distant from this woman for so long was unknown to him. Faye was such a beautiful woman, and Spike desired to kiss her, to touch her, and to please her. He didn't care about commitment, about becoming a couple, or anything of the sort. He just wanted her.
It was hard to explain. The feeling Spike had for Faye was something he could not name. He cared for her so much, but was it love? Spike didn't have a clue. But seeing her before him, wearing nothing but a towel, aroused him to no end.
As Spike subconsciously stepped closer towards the woman, Faye held her ground. She did not step back as he moved forward, but only kept her eyes locked with his. The man before her did not stop until they were only one inch away from each other. Faye kept her eyes on his, and even when she dropped the towel around her waist she did not move.
However, that slight movement was all that Spike needed to close the distance between them. Spike's hands flew up to Faye's cheeks, pulling her lips to his.
Eyes widened, Faye moaned as his tongue wrapped around hers, the familiar action making her weak in the knees. She closed her eyes as her hand fell onto his chest, her hands fisting in his shirt. Spike moved backwards, Faye following his movements as they kissed. Spike turned, pushing Faye down onto the bed beside them. As he lowered his body on top of hers, Faye began to work the buttons on his pale yellow shirt. Once unbuttoned, Spike moved his arms, allowing Faye to slip the bothersome garment from his shoulders and onto the floor. Her hands roamed his defined chest as Spike groaned approvingly. Her slender hands felt so good on his body, feeling his every muscle and definition.
Their kiss was broken only for a much needed gasp of air from both parties. Spike's hands began to wander as he grew eager again, his mouth once again placing itself over Faye's. Spike's mouth left Faye's, leaving a trail of kisses down her neck and across to her shoulder. Faye sighed in pleasure as she arched her neck backwards.
Feeling a little daring, Faye let her hands wander down to Spike's pants, where she quickly began to unbuckle the belt. She soon pulled his belt away, throwing it to the side of the room. Her fingers soon began to work at the button, and then the zipper.
And for some odd reason, Faye paused. Did she really want to get herself into this? They didn't have any protection, they weren't lovers… just minor acquaintances, really. They had spent so much time together, but it was like they were strangers all the time, holding back feelings of lust for each other.
To answer her question, Faye shrugged.
Yes.
And don't be afraid to expose yourself
Before I shut you down
You made some changes since the virus
Caught you sleeping
In a matter of seconds, both pants and boxers were off and to the side, both Spike and Faye completely naked on the bed.
Which was much better than before, in both Faye and Spike's opinions.
Spike looked down at Faye, searching for any hint of fear in her eyes. "Are you ready?"
Faye scoffed. "I'm always ready." She paused, a puzzled look on her face. "Wait, ready for what?"
Spike smirked as he lowered his head, taking one of her breasts into his mouth. Arching her back, a loud moan escaped Faye's mouth as her eyes widened. She didn't remember what it felt like… to be pleasured like this. She was no virgin, but if she remembered correctly, it didn't feel quite like this. This was special.
Spike closed his eyes, twirling his tongue around her nipple. Enjoying her increased moans, his left hand cupped her breast, causing her to moan louder.
"Spike!" Faye screamed out, her hands fisting in his hair. Spike winced a little, but continued his actions. Licking his lips, Spike slid back up her body, his nose pressed against hers.
Faye panted as her eyes met his. Her lips soon turned up into a smirk, causing Spike to raise an eyebrow. He felt her hands slide down from his head, resting on his shoulder. But one hand continued to wander… down… down…
"Faye, what are you - oh God." Spike closed his eyes and groaned as Faye lightly grasped the one part of Spike no one had touched in a long time.
"I knew you'd like it." Faye winked at him.
Spike groaned, speaking through clenched teeth. "You really want me to do it, don't you?"
Faye nodded. "Absolutely." She removed her hand, bringing it back up to rest on his shoulder.
Spike captured her lips in yet another kiss, moving his hands down to spread her legs. Faye complied, wrapping her legs around his hips.
And then he did it. Faye didn't have time to comprehend before he actually did it.
Most people say it's like fireworks, exploding into your mind. For Faye, it felt as if a supernova occurred, scattering nebular particles across the sky.
Faye arched her back, screaming out his name as Spike thrusted himself into her. Her hands clenched into his shoulders as he moved his hips against hers, the motion causing her to orgasm. Desperate for more, Faye moved her hips against him, a rocking motion occurring. The two rocked against each other for a few more minutes, moaning and kissing each other, both in ecstasy.
Finally, Spike removed himself from Faye's wet folds, moving to lay beside her. The two laid there for a while, panting as beads of sweat rolled from their bodies.
Faye's hand soon found Spike's, her fingers entwining with his. Spike used his free hand to lift the sheets they had kicked to the edge of the bed, lying it on top of them both.
"Good night, Faye." He mumbled as he closed his eyes, falling asleep, off to dream more of the woman laying beside him.

Spike woke to the sound of the alarm clock beside him. Muttering a few choice words, he reached to his left, pressing the button on top, silencing the damnable thing.
He slowly sat up, the sheets of the bed falling down from his chest. Both hands came up to rub the sleep from his eyes, his body sending signals, telling him to go back to sleep. Last nights activities really wore him out.
Spike smirked as he looked to his right, the object of his affection still sleeping like an angel…
…an angel with hormones to match her immense beauty.
Given the strength, Spike would have fucked her throughout the entire night. But his body refused.
Perhaps another time.
Possibly sensing someone watching her, Faye's eyes slowly fluttered open. A smile appeared across her pink lips as she sat up, placing a chaste kiss on Spike's cheek.
"We better get back soon. Jet will wonder."
Spike shrugged, standing up. After stretching, he began to gather his clothing and put the articles on. Faye did the same, taking a little longer. She gathered the keys to the hotel room, and without a word, she made her way towards the door.
Faye smiled as she opened the door to the hotel room. Spike smiled, grasping Faye's hand as she led him out the door, the sunlight engulfing the two. Maybe they would become a couple - maybe they wouldn't. Neither Spike nor Faye knew what was to come. But one thing was for sure…
It's better than nothing.

A/N: My first attempt at a Cowboy Bebop fic - enough reviews, and I may make a continuation to this.
Besides, this is my first attempt at a lemon.
Also, the song used was `Fiction (Digital Dreams)' by Orgy. I don't own that song. I chose this song mainly because of one line: `Cause it's better than nothing'. To me, as much as I love Spike and Faye, they could never be together. They lust after each other, but can't really form a relationship. So sex was just the alternative. And it was better than no intimacy at all.
Let me know your thoughts by reviewing.
