Author: J'dee, Mabelle, & Tobias
Rating: PG-13 some smoking and drinking refs…
Genre: Drama / Humor/ Action / Adventure / Romance
Author's Note: The original ANBM was a fic where 25 authors + were pulled in to the DBZ/GT world, the reverse is just that… a reverse where a select number of anime characters are yanked in to the real world, with not a true reason why, and no idea how to get back to their home…

Chapter Six

J'dee looked at the vase of flowers before letting out a sigh.
“Where do you think the flowers came from?” Goku asked.
“A flower shop duh.” Gojyo rolled his eyes.
Goku shot Gojyo a glare. “I didn't mean like that!”
Hakkai looked at J'dee chewing on her bottom lip. “Miss J'dee do you have a feeling you know what world this next team is from?”
J'dee nodded. “The note says it all. Aerith. He thinks I'm Aerith.” She looked at Gojyo. “That name means nothing to me.” Sanzo huffed.
“Final Fantasy Seven.” J'dee stated. “Gojyo you saw him. Who was it?” She looked at him.
Gojyo let out a breath. “Honey you don't want to know.”
J'dee picked up a piece of toast from the table and took a bite before moving to slump in to a chair next to Ikkaku defeated.
“Hey… who's Roy Mustang?” Ikkaku asked. “A guy booked some rooms by that name.”
J'dee let the toast drop to the plate. “Fuck…”
“Such ugly language.” Yumichika huffed.
Belle looked at J'dee. “That's not Final Fantasy Seven J'dee that's…”
“I know. There are three of us and three teams so… it could be another team.” J'dee offered.
“The guy was making a booking for this Roy guy. Three rooms I think they're like a floor above or something.” Ikkaku looked at them.
“That's just too cocky.” J'dee let her head drop “I don't want Alchemists dropping a ceiling on me.”
Belle shook her head. “I think I need some air.”
“Hey can you check the mail for me I'm expecting a post card.” J'dee called out.
Belle let out a breath. “Body guard please.” She looked to the shinigami.

Yumichika followed Belle out of the apartment and they walked in silence.
“Do you know who two of the teams are?” Yumichika asked and Belle shook her head.
“It doesn't make sense, it would require a team from two different worlds,” Belle sighed before rubbing her head. “Then again, anything is possible if I'm talking to you.” Yumichika nodded as they headed down the stairs.
“Do you know the possible worlds?” he asked and she nodded.
“Yes, but both worlds the people we're thinking about wouldn't just kill a person,” Belle sighed. “Chances are good that one world is for J'dee and the other is for me.” They approached the mailbox and Belle pulled out her key to open it.
“That's reasonable,” Yumichika stated and Belle blinked as she stared at the contents.
“Well, that's new,” Belle said as she reached in and pulled out a bottle of wine. Belle stared in surprise as she noticed there was a blue ribbon with gold trim. “Um.”
“Mmm white wine, that looks excellent,” Yumichika stated. She stared at it as she pulled the rest of the mail out, pushing it into Yumichika's hands while she studied the bottle. While Yumichika lead the way Belle noticed a single silver hair attached to the ribbon. Belle quickly plucked the hair and pushed it in her pocket. That hair didn't belong to a FMA character, but it might be one of the FF7, Belle wasn't good with them at all. Of course, J'dee didn't drink wine so it might be aimed at Belle herself.

Tobias closed the front door behind him, staring at the picture thoughtfully. It could be a hoax. But why him? And who knew that Misato was here? Then there were the surveillance devices Washu had disabled and then removed. Some one was watching him. Again, why? This had to be connected to arrival of the others, but why not just come forward to tell him about it?

Tobias frowned and headed for his study. Flicking on the light switch he made his way to his desk. The study was really his library. The walls had book shelves built into them. The only wall not cover was the one facing his yard, and a bay window. On the window's ledge, he had numerous models he had finished setup. His study was his sanctuary, where he retreated to think. Sitting down at his desk, he took a piece of tape and stuck the picture on the front side of his monitor. His frowned deepened as he leaned back in his chair to study it.

He couldn't help the faint glimmer of hope this picture gave him when he thought about Misato.

J'dee looked at the bottle of wine to the flowers in the vase, before she looked to the window letting out a breath.
Hakkai cleared his throat uncomfortably. “You might have to cancel the meeting with Sephy Miss J'dee; this is starting to get slightly risky I believe.”
“Risky is a gun to my head.” J'dee shot Sanzo a look.
“Tch.” Sanzo scoffed. “It only happened once get over it.”
Gojyo chuckled.
“Flowers aren't risky… unless they're laced with something.” J'dee added heading to her room again. “She's only passing through and I'm not… I'm not cancelling. I hate cancelling on people. Because you never know when you won't… see them again.” She turned the handle of the door letting out a breath.
“Let her go…” Sanzo growled. “Gojyo, Hakkai you can follow her from a distance, just don't get seen.”

Gojyo looked at Sanzo. “Wait. We got those guys too.” He motioned at the shinigami. “Shouldn't we double it, because that guy… he moves… faster than any normal human.”
“You're both not human you'll manage.” Sanzo moved towards the balcony opening the door and stepping outside lighting up a cigarette.
“Asshole.” Gojyo growled.

J'dee slipped in to her room and she let out a defeated breath slumping against the door, her eyes moving to her final Fantasy VII poster of Zack and Cloud.
“Better get ready then.” She mumbled to herself grabbing the clothes from the closet and she stopped looking at the pink dress before glancing to the door paranoid and slipped in to the bathroom.

Ed stood on the balcony watching as Zack moved across the railing running before he leapt up one then another and another towards the roof top. His eye twitched.
“Why does he get to do what he wants?” Ed pointed and face faulted at Armstrong flexing his muscles checking out his physique in a full length mirror. “Are you even listening to me?”
“I am brother.” Al was sitting on the ground near the door.
Ed grumbled. “He's running across rooftops delivering flowers what the hell is he playing at?”
Havoc lent back in his chair cigarette in his mouth. “Ask the Colonel.”
Hawke-eye glanced up from cleaning her guns at Edward. “He isn't bound by the rules or laws of our world. Only to the man who brought him here. The Colonel has said that Zack is the one they will contact face to face. He is heading to meet them now before he is to trail the `target'.”
“We're supposed to kill her aren't we?” Al asked sadly. “How can we kill someone who is a friend of our mother's?”
“She's not our real mother Al…” Ed looked out the window with a glare.
“She could have been.” Al looked down.

“What's he doing now?” Aisha whined to Gene. Since they had lost their surveillance equipment, they had elected for good old fashioned spying.

Namely hiding in the woods and watching their target with binoculars.

“Nothing. He's just sitting at his desk, staring at the picture. The same thing he's been doing for last half hour!” Gene snapped. Aisha sighed and laid back against her tree, idly clawing at a tree to her right.

“What do you suppose he's thinking about?” Aisha asked. Gene slowly lowered the binoculars to glare at her.

“What?” She asked.

“You know what, sometimes I really hate you.”

Abel arrived on the building and noticed that Hugue and Tres were there now.
“Where did Havel go?” Abel asked and Hugue looked at him.
“Next watch,” he muttered. “Your hair is down.”
“Oh, I must not have noticed my ribbon falling out,” Abel said before looking across the building at the group in the apartment. Noelle's twin was serving the group of men, laughing at something one of them said. She looked happy and Abel felt horrible that they would stop her life.
“The target seems to have received a bottle of wine,” Tres stated and Abel did his best not to react.
“Does she have a potential lover?” Abel asked and Hugue looked over his shoulder.
“There are many men there,” Hugue commented.
“They seem to be discussing a similar gift of flowers to the target's roommate,” Tres said.
“There may be contact from one of the other teams,” Hugue stated.
“We should tell the others, we may have more potential protectors now,” Abel said. He hoped there were more out there willing to protect the women.

J'dee slipped out of the bathroom and stopped looking at the full length mirror before pulling the short sleeved red pink jacket out of the closet and pulling it on. She grabbed the brush running it through her hair before sticking it in to her shoulder satchel pulling out the Rangiku costume with a sigh grumbling to herself.
“The things I do for your insanity I swear.” She muttered closing the satchel, brush and Rangiku costume inside.
Whipping her hair up and in to a quick braid she stepped back in to the lounge grabbing her keys and headed towards the door. “I'll wait for them downstairs, last thing they need to see is you guys. God knows she'll go fan gurly at the sight of Kenpachi. And don't get me started on the boyfriend Byuakya is one guy he'd go yaoi for.” J'dee shivered at the thought before heading out the door.

Hakkai looked at Sanzo before Gojyo moved past him sticking a cigarette in his mouth moving to the door following J'dee.
“C'mon Hakkai… lets leave the pissy monk and monkey behind, we can manage a simple routine watch.”
Hakkai looked at Belle and bowed. “We'll watch over her Miss Belle and make sure she's okay.”
“Make sure you contact that pervert friend of yours and tell him you know.” Sanzo remarked looking at Belle before heading back to the room. “Watch over the monkey I need some me time.”
Hakkai looked at Belle apologetic before following Gojyo down the hall.

“I really did prefer when I could ignore his talking,” Belle sighed before she grabbed a cordless phone. She sat down on her recliner and dialed Toby, after the third ring he picked up.
“How's Little Washu?” Belle asked and Toby laughed nervously.
“I don't know what you're…” Toby started and Belle plowed forward.
“Look I have an apartment full of shinigami and I'm babysitting a monkey, I know it was Washu and those Eva kids,” Belle sighed. “Toby we're in serious danger, I don't know if your group has told you, but we've been targeted for assassination. Those guys are supposed to be your death squad.” There was a moment of silence.
“Uh…are you sure? They haven't mentioned that,” Toby stated and Belle stared at the Shinigami.
“Yeah, our groups know about you and you're marked for death too. Anyway, we need to talk because since the first groups have failed, we're going to have secondary groups arriving. J'dee and I have both gotten…gifts from the secondary teams,” Belle said. “We need to meet.”
“Us or all of us?” Toby said and Belle nodded.
“All of us. You, me, J'dee, our guests, everyone,” Belle explained. “My place tonight, around seven, can you make it?”

Tobias sighed. He supposed it was time. Not like he was very good at keeping something like this secret.

“I suppose, but I won't be able to bring some one.” Tobias replied. He turned from his desk, to peer out his window. He frowned as he saw some bushes at the tree line shake. Probably another deer.

“Why not?” Belle replied, exasperated.

“She's kind of…..large.” Tobias replied, thinking of ADA in Jehuty. There was a long, long pause on Belle's end.

“I don't recall any of the people at dinner last night being large girls.” Belle said, angrily. Tobias's eyes widened at what she thought he was implying.

“No, no! I mean she big as in stories tall. She's an AI in a mech.” Tobias replied.

“Mecha.” Belle corrected a hint of teasing in her voice. Not this old argument again.

“Mech. And I'll introduce you to her next weekend. I'm having a BBQ next Saturday, remember? I'll take you to the hanger then.” Tobias said.

“Mecha. And what do you mean, hanger?” Belle demanded. Tobias couldn't help but grin.

“Mech. I have Washu living with me, remember? Greatest scientific mind in the universe? Making and concealing a hanger is child's play for her.” Tobias said, a bit smugly. Belle sighed.

“Fine, fine. See you then. And Toby? It's mecha.” Belle said, hanging up the phone.

J'dee walked in to the reception area of the complex, she could feel Hakkai and Gojyo following from a distance before she stopped dead seeing two figures walking up to her in costume.
“Oh that is just mean.” She mumbled seeing Sephy's boyfriend dressed up as Sephiroth and Sephy herself in Reno cos-play.
Sephy ran up to her and she was hugged by the younger woman. J'dee hugged her back.
“I missed you!” Sephy whined.
J'dee nodded. “Same here.” She whispered and looked round Sephy to glance at the six foot one man in a black leather jacket carrying a six foot long sword in a sheath.
“Finally you get to meet.” Sephy smiled.
J'dee blinked as the introductions were made.
`This is bad.' She thought. `If it's Cloud whose stalking me… he's going to freak out.' She swallowed.
“C'mon lets go.” Sephy grabbed her by the hand and pulled her along.
“I'm coming…” J'dee glanced to Sephy's boyfriend nervously. “These are being sent to Jubei why again?”
“Motivation to get her to move out of NZ faster.” Sephy smiled. “She's married now; she should be living in Japan with the husband.”
J'dee nodded her head slowly. “He likes NZ though.”
“Only because he found his Nano-chan.” Sephy laughed.
J'dee slapped her forehead. “I can't believe it was that costume that got her a Japanese Otaku husband.” She let out a breath.
“Don't worry we'll find you a Zack or Gojyo.” Sephy teased.
“Shut up!” J'dee hissed looking behind seeing Gojyo and Hakkai in the distance her face blushing and praying Gojyo hadn't heard.

Abel watched Noelle's twin as she did laundry, the small window granted a view of the woman. She tossed her clothing into a machine before she sat down and began grading. It was so simple and everyday, but it brought memories of Noelle flashing back.
The target was chewing absently on her pen as she read whatever was on the paper before catching herself and pressing her lips to the back of her hand. It was just like Noelle completing paperwork. The target smiled fondly on the work of her students and Abel could barely stand to watch.
“I'm going to go for a walk,” he said and the other two merely nodded. Abel walked on; he was beginning to think he might not be able to go through with this. He walked to the back yard of the building; there were lines for laundry to be hung on. He stood there between a pair of mint green sheets and rose sheets wondering if he could face killing Noelle, even if it was only in image.

“So, he's going out tonight?” Jim said. Gene nodded, rubbing his own chin as Jim began to think.

“Think we should introduce ourselves at this meeting?” Gene asked. Jim shrugged.

“I don't know. And when I did become the decision maker about all this?” He demanded. Aisha rubbed his hair and he glared at her.

“Well it's your father after all, kiddo.” Aisha replied. Jim sighed.

Zack stood in the playground near the apartment building, he blinked looking over as he saw the three figures emerge from the apartment and he froze.
“Sephiroth…” His hand moved to the buster sword and he stopped seeing Sephiroth's arm round Reno's waist, he didn't know the former General was that friendly, he had been friendly once upon a time, but not with Turks. Aerith walked behind them clearing her throat uncomfortably.
He stood there, the clothes were what he remembered Aerith entering the life stream wearing.
Zack saw Aerith glance up at him and she stopped in her tracks seeing him. He saw his name pass on her lips and he swallowed.
“I'm sorry…” He mouthed out.
Reno grabbed on to Aerith's arm and pulled her along, she looked away for a moment and Zack choose that moment to vanish from sight leaping up in to the air and landing on a rooftop nearby crouching down.
“Aerith… Why'd it have to be you?” he whispered.

~*~*~*~

J'dee felt her heart pound in her chest, she'd seen him in the flesh, Zack, it was Zack, he was the one who left the flowers and she was dressed as Aerith the poor guy would probably be more confused than anything now. Her eyes closed, she hoped she could reach him like she had managed to the Sanzo party, he wasn't the slaughter the innocent people type, she knew it. She had played the Crisis Core game and was nearly finished playing it for a third or fourth time. Each time his death hit her hard, the way he died protecting Cloud wondering if he died a true hero. She thought he had, J'dee glanced back to where he'd been but it was empty.

Sephy's boyfriend drove them to a location it was one of those drives where she sat in the back looking out the window seeing the scenery flash by, yet nothing registered at all as she seemed to be lost in her own thoughts.
`Zack…' She let her eyes close.

It was then she looked at the field in the distance as Sephy bounced up and down. “There it is! We wanted to show you it. We passed it on the way here.”
J'dee frowned. “Are you kidding me?” She looked at them.
“It's a nice place… Nice place for me to kill you.” Sephy's boyfriend teased.
“Oh hell no. You're not running me through with a Masumune thank you very much.” J'dee shot him a glare.

Belle sighed as she pulled the last load from the dryer, it was so hard to sit and wait for laundry, but she had never been one to let her laundry sit alone where perverts could steal her things. The only thing Belle trusted was her sheets, they were plain and rather cheap so even if they were stolen, she was willing to spring for newer, nicer sheets.
As she walked down the hallway to the back door she couldn't help the feeling of being watched. She peeked out the window and saw two heads duck out of sight on the opposite roots. Her eyes widened, she couldn't tell for sure, but she had definitely seen two forms on the roof.
“Those didn't look like soldiers or SOLDIERS,” Belle whispered. “Who are you?” She sighed before moving on, they probably wouldn't give her another look now that they knew she was on to them. She pushed open the back door and turned to her sheets. A man in a long, black coat stood there between the rose and mint sheets. The sun was in the sky above his head, making his silver hair sparkle.
“Like an angel,” Belle whispered as she noted the white trim to the jacket and slowly she remembered the silver hair in her pocket. The man turned quickly and sure enough the black jacket with white trim was accessorized with gold crosses. His hair was that lovely white-silver and his eyes were a rich blue. His face caught Belle's breath in her throat. “Abel…” His eyes widened before the wind picked up around them and Belle was hit by a mint pillowcase across the face.
Belle nearly dropped the hamper before she remembered all the clean clothing. She placed the hamper down before pulling the pillowcase off her face. Abel was gone and Belle blinked as she looked around. She rubbed her eyes before sighing. There went her chance to plead her case of innocence. Belle began to pull down her sheets and fold them at least she now knew who was after her.
“I hope Hugue and Tres were left at home for this round,” she muttered before heading inside.

Gojyo sat in the passenger side as Hakkai followed the car driving at a safe distance so not to be spotted. He'd seen Zack in the playground the older man had let her see him before he jumped up vanishing from sight. It made Gojyo agitated that they were starting to get more and more arrogant.
Hakkai slowed Hakaryuu down seeing the car pull up outside a field. The yellow flowers swaying gently in the breeze.
They saw the three emerge from the vehicle before they made their way in to the field. J'dee followed behind the flirting couple and she looked over at them. Gojyo caught her look, he knew she was slightly unnerved by the visual confirmation.
`We're here to watch your back honey, its okay.' He looked at her.
He saw her lower her head following the two in to the depths of the field.
“Gojyo.” Hakkai's voice interrupted his thoughts.
Gojyo moved from Hakaryuu and they walked the short distance to the car to look in the field. Gojyo watched as Sephy handed J'dee something and he watched as she tied a pink ribbon in her hair grumbling something to Sephy who just smiled back at her.

Abel watched Noelle's twin head inside, her hair still slightly mused from where the pillowcase had hit her. It had been very cute and had made him remember how elegant Noelle had acted. The door closed and Abel dropped out of the tree he had been perched in. She had known him and from the slight blush on her cheeks this Noelle was just as affected by him as his Noelle had been.
He truly began to doubt his ability to kill her. She had, after all, called him an angel. Could he really kill a woman who saw that in him?

There came a knocking on the door, shortly before they had to leave to meet Belle and J'dee with their guests.

“I got it.” Tobias said. He hurried to door as the others, made their way from the hall. Tobias opened the door, wondering who could be here. He saw Mel, and smiled. He opened his mouth to say hello, but it dropped to shock when he saw who was there with her. He felt shock settle in over him and he felt like such an idiot for not recognizing Mel earlier.

Gene Starwind stepped forward.

“We need to talk.”
