This is just one of my newest ideas and I'm trying to expand beyond the Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Digimon crossover stuff. This time, I'm going to try something on the DC Universe. And I'm crossing it over with Naruto.

 

The plot: It is the aftermath of the `Blackest Night' and due to the efforts of Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, and plenty of the other DC heroes, Scar, the rogue `undead' Guardian of the Black Lanterns, Black Hand, and the Black Lanterns are gone with the Black Lantern destroyed, but the energy scattered to the far reaches of the universe since death is a part of life and energy can't be destroyed. However, the `Black Lanterns' are gone for good and their `power' is sealed and spread away for good, but the universe barely survived the `Blackest Night' and all of the Lantern Corps including the Green Lantern Corps are in chaos. The rest of the Guardian of the Universes in the Green Lantern Corps are gone because of Scar and the only Guardian is Sodam Yat, the ex-Ion, who was found in the sun of his home planet after he had turned it from red to yellow giving his people Superman-like superpowers to fend off Mongul. Somehow, using all of his Ion power causes the symboite to separate from him, but he was still alive, thanks to remnants of its energy in Sodam's body. He was returned to a Green Lantern and aided in the `Blackest Night' mess. The surviving Guardians infused Sodam with their power since he was the only one around when he led a team of Lantern to rescue them from Scar and made him the sole Guardian of the Universe in which they warned him not to make the same mistake as they did. Ganthet and Sayd, banished from the Guardians of the Universe for the Green Lantern Corps, are managed to survived and still run the Blue Lantern Corps through it is much in disarray as the Green Lantern Corps. They are working with the Green Lanterns to rebuild their Corps and restore order to the chaos that the `Blackest Night' caused.

 

However, during the chaos of the `Blackest Night', the imbalance in the universe ripped holes in the barriers between realms and created portals to realities beyond the `known multi-verse' in which the DC universe will discover that in truth the universe has always been a multi-verse and the actions of the `universes' surrounding the DC universe/multi-verse have not effected them greatly, even during the time of the Anti-Monitor and such, and power rings from the Red Lantern Corps, Sinestro Corps, Green Lantern Corps, Blue Lantern Corps, Indigo Tribe, and Star Sapphires have been spread out to these new `realities'. Also, the symboite Ion and the Agent Orange Lantern have also been sent into these `other realities'.

 

As the DC universes tries to get itself back together, we find ourselves within the Naruto realm where Naruto and his team with Sai replacing Sasuke Uchiha and Yamato replacing Kakashi as team leader, have come back from their mission without Sasuke Uchiha. Naruto prepares to train himself to get stronger and then a Green Lantern ring finds him. He gets the ring and quickly enough, he manages to use it becoming the first Green Lantern of his home world. However, with the new ring comes great responsibility and even greater problems, when he finds that his ring isn't the only Lantern power ring in his universe and not to mention Sinestro finds his way into Naruto's universe. Finally, the DC universe finds ways to enter the `other realms' to find these `new Lanterns' to prepare for the next phase of conflict because they find out that surviving the `Blackest Night' only gives way to a new battle: The Multi-universal `Spectrum Wars' in which Naruto will play a vital role in the future.

 

Before I start I would like to give credit to Time-warlock for the inspiration of the idea, how the rings get into Naruto's `realm', Naruto and Itachi getting certain Lantern Power Rings, and other material that I didn't mention in this commentary.

 

And a second thing, everyone, this is my AU or alternate universe ending to the series known as `Blackest Night' which is still going on and I have not been reading too many comic books, excluding manga books, so, my information might not be too accelerate or the personality of some to many characters might be OOC or out of character in personality, attitudes, or situations! I've been keeping up with latest editions, reading information from websites on the internet, and such to try make this as accelerate and exciting as possible, but this is to warn you otherwise everyone!

 

Warning: This story contains intense violence, blood, gore, death, mild to explicit suggestive themes, mild to explicit bad language, and X-rated adult themes/situations!

 

Disclaimer: I DON'T own Naruto, Green Lantern, the DC `universe', any of the other stories, any of the characters, and/or anything/anyone that come from these stories that end up in this fiction! Spectrum Wars: Ninja Lanterns

 

Chapter 1: Whirlpool: The First Ninja Lantern

 

In the planet of Oa, home base from the Green Lantern Corps, we find Green Lanterns of Earth, Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, and John Stewart, inside of the hall that contained the Guardian of the Universe, who were the founders and `supreme commanders' of the Green Lantern Corps. However, after banishing Ganthet, the last of the original Guardians, and Sayd, a female Guardian of the Universe, they have tried to keep order with the new levels of the Book of Oa including lethal force by the Green Lantern Corps and no relationships in the Corps, but what they have been doing was steering down the path that Scar, the scared `undead' Guardian, wanted them to steer and it was the path to the `Blackest Night', a prophecy given to the Corps by Hal Jordan's predecessor as the Green Lantern of his sector, Abin Sur, which the Guardians refused to believed. However, the `Blackest Night' and the `War of Light' did happen and the universe nearly paid because of it. It was due to the actions of certain Green Lanterns and the other heroes in the universe that universe managed to survive barely. Sodam Yat, the second Ion after Kyle Rayner, was found alive, but without the Ion symboite within him. It turns out that Sodam got separated from the entity when he used its power to turn his planet's sun from red to yellow to give his people Superman-like powers to fight back against Mongul. However, there was enough energy that allowed him to survive and when he was revived during the whole chaos of the `Blackest Night', he joined in the battle. Sodam led a group of Lanterns and heroes to Oa to rescue the Guardians from Scar, but it was too late. Even through Scar was destroyed, the Guardians had no choice, but to give Sodam, since they entrusted him with the Ion entity and its strength, with their strength and making him the second humanoid/mortal Guardian of the Universe as well as the last one for the Green Lantern Corps.

 

In the end, with aid from the other heroes and heroines in the Universe, the Blue Lantern Corps, the Star Sapphires, and surprising, even Sinestro and his Corps, the Black Lanterns, Scar, and Black Hand, the `torchbearer' of the Black Lanterns, were defeated and their power sealed away for good through they can't destroy it since death is a part of life. The Black Lantern was destroyed along with the Anti-Monitor, somehow, and their energies spread across the universe and sealed away to keep balance.

 

Right now, we find the four Green Lanterns from Earth along with various other members looking at the empty hallway and Guy says, with his usual tone, “What a mess folks.”

 

John says, with a plain tone, “It seems quite quiet around here now.”

 

Guy says, with a smug smile, “Was it any different with those blue gnomes around? You could hear a pin drop when you were meeting with them.”

 

Hal says, with a plain tone, “We don't have time for your jokes, Guy. The Green Lantern Corps is in a mess. With the Guardians gone, there is no one to lead the Corps.”

 

Guy says, with a snort, “They didn't exactly do a good job anyhow, Hal. It was because of their stubbornness that we got into that whole `Blackest Night' mess. The signs were right in front of them. They only smart ones that knew better were kicked out just because they felt and they kept mentioning about it.”

 

John says, with a sigh, “Hal, I've got to admit that Guy has a point. If they listened to the warnings, we wouldn't have been in this mess.”

 

Kyle says, with a plain tone, “We do have a Guardian left. Sodam is a Guardian now.”

 

Guy says, with his usual tone, “Not to insult him, kid. But he might have been your replacement as our `torchbearer' and he handles himself real well, he isn't exactly what I call `Guardian' material.”

 

Hal says, with a plain tone, “We are going to have to make do with him. Sodam just repealed the third new law that the Guardians put up and made it that all sectors are not forbidden. However, even if I don't like, we are still going to need the first and second laws.”

 

John says, with a nod, “I don't like it either, Hal. But Sinestro and his Corps around along with the Red Lanterns still around, we are going to need to go at them full force. They won't be giving us any mercy either everyone.”

 

Kyle asks, curiously, “How long do you think that it will take to rebuild the Corps?”

 

Hal says, with a plain tone, “It is hard to tell: Even with the aid of the Blue Lantern Corps, whose own Corps is a mess after this whole `Blackest Night' mess, and the Justice League, we are still a mess. However, most likely, the other Lantern Corps are also reeling from the `Blackest Night' and the Agent Orange Battery is gone through it might be more trouble than it is worth. As much as I don't want to admit it, the Guardians might have had a point of keeping the Orange Lantern in the hands of someone that they know.”

 

Guy says, with a wide grin, “Something tells me that those Star Sapphire ladies will be up and around soon enough since someone like Carol running the show…”

 

Hal lowers his head and John yells out, annoyed, “Guy!” FYI: During the `Blackest Night', Hal found out that Carol had become a Star Sapphire and he found out the reason that she became a Star Sapphire caused him to become horrified and depressed. He thought that by keeping them apart that she would be safe, but in the end, Carol was dragged into the `War of Light' and the `Blackest Night' because of their separation. At first, he wanted to go to Zamaron to take out his frustrations on their people and the leader that recruited Carol into the Star Sapphires, but he felt more to blame for it than they are and the whole `Blackest Night' mess was going on all over the universe. Carol survived the `Blackest Night' and still leading the Star Sapphires much to Jordan's distain.

 

Kyle tells Hal, “Hal, it wasn't your fault that Carol got locked into this.”

 

Hal says, with a plain tone, “I tried to tell myself that, but it is just a lie.”

 

Hal takes a few steps forward and Kyle asks, whispering to the others, “Is there anything that we can do?”

John says, shaking his head, “This is something that Hal needs to do on his own. Hal might be the greatest of us and he can overcome great fear, but it doesn't mean that he can't overcome great guilt even if it is self-inflicted.”

 

Just then a voice calls out, “Unfortunately, Poozers, this is no time to have an emotional breakdown!” Everyone looks to see Kilowog, the famous `drill sergeant' of the Green Lantern Corps, another veteran Lantern that survived the `Blackest Night' come in with Sodam, wearing attire similar to the former Guardians of the Universes, Soranik Natu, a female Green Lantern from Sinestro's former home planet, Salaak, another veteran that survived through the `Blackest Night' and he is the keeper of the Book of Oa, which contains the stories of all Green Lanterns and contains the laws and such that all Green Lanterns must follow, and the ex-Guardian, Ganthet, in his clothing as the Guardian of the Blue Lantern Corps.

 

Guy yells out, annoyed, “What is this time, big guy?! We are trying to rebuild this place you know?!”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “As we all are, Guy Guarder, but even with aid from the Blue Lantern Corps, who are also in disarray after the `Blackest Night', the process will be slow. This does need immediately attention and we need the best Lanterns on this duty. It is seems that not all Green Lantern rings are accounted for.”

 

John asks, curiously, “That's not much of a surprise, Salaak. They could have been destroyed or taken. Remember, the Star Sapphires took some of our rings and Sinestro Corps' rings as well.”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “You misunderstand me, John Steward. They are not destroyed, but they are no longer in this universe. Those rings have left into the multi-verse.”

 

The four Earth Green Lantern gasp in shock and Kyle asks, nervously, “Is that bad?”

 

Ganthet says, with a plain tone, “Actually, it is worse, Kyle Rayner. We have just found that the multi-verse is more than the 52 other universes.”

 

Guy asks, in his usual tone, “Are you saying that there are more universes out there?”

 

Ganthet says, with a nod, “That's correct. In fact, the `universe' has always been a multi-verse from the beginning. It was our universe that was originally `broke up' into multiple universes in an unstable fashion. The `true multi-verse' includes vast dimensions and realities that don't even have anything in common with us. In fact, there are universes that are centered around just stories and myths of our own universe. Currently, our `multi-verse' is just a small portion of a true vast and infinity multi-verse that has been around since the dawn of creation. The `Blackest Night' and the chaos that it caused created huge tears in the fabric of space time and sent those `missing rings' into those realities. However, it is not the worse of it. The Agent Orange battery and the rings from other Corps have also been sent across the vast multi-verse.”

 

The four Earth Green Lanterns gasps in shock and Guy yells out, stunned, “You have got to be kidding me, short stack! You mean that orange battery and tons of Lantern rings including our own are out there and causing who knows what kind of trouble?!”

 

Kilowog says, with a serious tone, “That's exactly what he is saying!”

 

Sodam says, with a plain tone, “We also believe that Ion symboite is also out there as well.”

 

Kyle asks, curiously, “And you want us to find them and bring Ion and the Green Lantern and Blue Lantern rings back as well as stop the others and the orange power battery from causing any trouble?”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “That's not what we want you to do, Kyle Rayner. We want you to find the bearers of the new rings and bring them to Oa to be inducted into the Green Lantern Corps.”

 

Hal asks, perplexed, “You want us to recruit members from other universes?”

 

Ganthet says, with a nod, “That's exactly what we want you to do, Hal Jordan.” Salaak then displays the Book of Oa and turns to a new page entitled `Spectrum Wars'.

 

John asks, curiously, “Spectrum Wars?”

 

Soranik says, with a serious tone, “The thing is that we found this after this whole `Blackest Night' mess. Somehow, this got written into the Book of Oa and it wasn't Scar or the Guardians.”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “It speaks of a time after the `Blackest Night' when the balance of life is thrown off and gateways to `other realms' are opened. The lights of the emotional spectrum take root in these `other realms' and it tells of `lost members of the spectrum' are to be found. New `knights' shall come and aid their brethren in our home world and the `War of Light' shall become the `War of the Emotional Spectrum' spread across not our universe, but into all `other realms' where a new darkness shall rise to take the place of the `Blackest Night' and they shall be the `true opposite' to all Lantern Corps. And only a few shall decide the outcome of this world. It ends with a question: Will the outcome be Life or Chaos?”

 

Soranik says, with a plain tone, “In short, everyone, it looks like this whole `Blackest Night' was just the prelude to something bigger.”

 

Guy yells out, annoyed, “This is just damn well great everyone!”

 

Hal asks, curiously, “What does it mean by `lost members of the spectrum'? Does this mean that there are even more Lantern Corps?”

 

Ganthet says, with a plain tone, “We believe it to be so, Hal Jordan.”

 

John asks, curiously, “Hold up, Ganthet! I thought there were only seven `lights' in the emotional spectrum with the eighth, the Black Lanterns, representing death! What's the deal with these new `unknown Lanterns'?”

 

Ganthet says, with a plain tone, “There is nothing impossible in life, John Stewart. Even a Guardian can be wrong, as you all known all too well, but I believe there is at least one more Lantern Corps. Remember, the Black Lanterns represent death, but life is balance.”

 

Kyle asks, curiously, “So, there is a `light' that represents life?”

 

Ganthet says, with a nod, “That's correct, Kyle Rayner. However, I believe that core of this `light' of the emotion spectrum resides in another universe since all realms in the multi-verse have life. I do not have much knowledge, but most likely, the Lantern that will contain this `light' will have the abilities to give greater strength to all Lanterns since all emotions make up life itself.”

 

John asks, with a plain tone, “So, we are talking about a new Lantern Corps that could have abilities of the other Corps and much more, but much greater in strength than our rings alone?”

 

Ganthet says, with a plain tone, “It is most likely, John Stewart.”

 

Hal says, with a droll tone, “Just wonderful, Ganthet.”

 

Ganthet says, with a plain tone, “For now, Hal Jordan, I believe that it is a good idea to focus on the rings and batteries that are spread across the vast multi-verse. The chaos of the `Blackest Night' is far from healing and we might have ways to track the `lost rings and batteries'.”

 

John states, with a serious tone, “That's a good idea! We'll worry about this `Spectrum War' stuff later! Right now, we need to find those rings because who knows what kind of chaos that they are causing?”

 

(In the world of Naruto; on the meanwhile)

 

We find ourselves in the Hidden Leaf Village known as Konoha as we see a familiar green streak zip through the sky that goes so fast and out of the sight of everyone that could see the green streak doesn't even catch a glimpse of the green streak zip by. Some distance away, we find a familiar blond haired ninja named Naruto Uzumaki going about his own personal training. Right now, he has returned to the Leaf Village after his mission with his temporary team leader, Yamato, and his newest team member, Sai, along with his pink-haired kunoichi teammate and childhood crush, Sakura Haruno, trying to get Sasuke Uchiha, who Naruto felt that they were as close as brothers, back from Orochimaru and bring him back to the village. The mission failed and Naruto is training to perfect a new jutsu.

 

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “I'm not going to let Orochimaru or teme's stubbornness get to me this time! I'm going to get him back to the Leaf Village this time! Believe it!” Just then the green streak passes by Naruto and he yelps out causing him to fall down on his bottom. Naruto asks, perplexed, “What was that? Am I under attack?” Just then the green streak goes towards him and stops in front of him, forming a familiar green ring with the insignia of the Green Lantern Corps imprinted on it. Naruto asks, perplexed, “A floating green ring?”

 

The green ring says, in an emotionless monotone voice, “Naruto Uzumaki, you have been shown to overcome great fear.”

 

Naruto asks, perplexed, “A ring that talks?” Just then the green ring goes onto ring finger of Naruto's right hand and he yelps as he is engulfed in a powerful glow engulfs him. When the glow stops, Naruto looks over himself and he yelps to seem himself in a familiar green, black, white jumpsuit of the Green Lantern Corps similar Kyle Rayner's latest Green Lantern uniform with his headband being around his neck with the Green Lantern insignia side by side with the Leaf Village insignia.

 

The green ring says, in its classic emotionless voice, “Welcome the Green Lantern Corps, Naruto Uzumaki.”

 

Naruto asks, curiously, “Green Lantern Corps? What's a `Green Lantern Corps'?”

 

The green ring replies, in its computer voice, “The Green Lantern Corps was established in another reality by the Guardians of the Universe, ageless immortals, who harness willpower to maintain order and balance in the universe which is known as Earth-1…” The green ring then goes through the whole story of the Guardians of the Universe from the beginning to the `Blackest Night', but long before that, Naruto put his hand on his hand as this was too information to process.

 

Naruto says, groaning, “My head is hurting right now.”

 

Kyuubi tells Naruto, telepathically, “What the ring is saying that it comes from an alternate universe and it was created by a powerful race of ageless immortal beings. This ring doesn't use any form of chakra, but in fact, it uses the energy of humanoid emotions to give it strength in the form of that green light in which you can practically do anything with.”

 

Naruto asks, curiously, “Anything? I can do anything with this ring?”

 

The Green Lantern ring replies, “Limits of ring only limited by willpower of welder and imagination of welder. Only one who has or can overcome great fear can truly harness the power of a Green Lantern ring.”

 

Kyuubi retorts, with a plain tone, “That's no problem for you, kit. You have so much determination and courage that you make me sick at times as well as have plenty to spear for your fellow ninja. However, this is interesting and a very serious matter. It mention about some kind of `emotional spectrum' and `Blackest Night'. Tell that ring to replay that information.”

 

Naruto asks, with a snort, “Why do you want to know fox?”

 

Kyuubi yells out, really annoyed, “This could very well destroy our universe and if our universe dies, you die, kit! And when you die, I die along with you! I want to survive until I can figure out how to get out of you somehow! If you want to your `precious people' to survive, we need more information on that ring and where it comes from, kit!”

 

Naruto replies, with a sigh, “Whatever you say, cranky old fox!” Naruto tells his new Green Lantern ring, “Ring, reply `emotional spectrum' and `Blackest Night'?” Soon afterwards, the Green Lantern ring displays the colors and Lantern batteries of the `emotional spectrum' and the `Blackest Night' in which plenty of the pictures made Naruto quick `sick' as you would say.

 

When it was done, Kyuubi says, with an interested tone, “This universe nearly died from the force that represents death itself and this ripped holes in the fabric of time and space that sent this ring as well as many others like it into other universes. These rings are powerful the emotion of all living beings, not just humans, but all humanoid type and intelligent living beings. Each `colored light' represents an emotion of life that the ring gets it power from. This ring that you have, kit, is fueled by willpower. There are six other types of rings out there. Red for rage, orange for green, yellow for fear, blue for hope, indigo for compassion, and violet for love with green in the center in which the further you move away from green, the more that the energy has control over you. Namely, if you have the energy of rage or love flowing through you, its energy will have more influence on your mind and emotions. These `Lantern Corps' and their rings and batteries have incredible power by harness the emotions that all intelligent life shares.”

 

Naruto says, with a plain tone, “It looked pretty horrible with those `zombie warriors' in black and all, but it looks okay since it is gone.”

 

Kyuubi tells Naruto, with a plain tone, “Not as much as you think, kit. Remember, this ring seems to be still be connected to the universe and if that's so, then our universe is open that reality and who knows many others. People from that universe especially the `bad ones', as you would call them, could come to this universe and cause major chaos since those rings can do things that only limited by certain things, kit.”

 

Naruto yells out, stunned, “You have a point, fox! This is really bad! We aren't prepared for anything like that! People like those `Sinestro Corps' jerks could do some major damage!” Naruto then looks at the ring and himself causing him to say, with a smirk, “But if I learn how to use this ring, I could fight them! Plus, the overgrown snake in the grass couldn't stop something like this since he wouldn't know a darn thing about it! I could finally bring Sasuke back to Konoha since he wouldn't know how to defend against it!”

 

Kyuubi says, with a sly tone, “You can think for yourself, kit! I guess that miracles can happen!”

 

Naruto says, with a snort, “Watch it, fox! Remember, you are in my body and you want me to test out if this ring can repair seals?! I don't think that you would like that, fox breath!” Kyuubi gives an annoyed growl, but he doesn't want to test Naruto since he knows that if his `container' is crazy enough to flat out insult him of all Bijuu then he wouldn't be afraid to see if that ring can help with his seal and making his chances for escape even worse. Naruto gives a mental victory giggle and he thinks, “I should go to Granny Tsunade, Sakura-chan, and everyone else, but it might be too much trouble. If they knew if I had a ring that could do anything that I put my mind too, then a lot more people would know about it. I heard about this `Danzo' jerk from Sakura-chan and he is bad news in which Granny Tsunade told me that it was the Old Man that prevented him from getting me as a baby to turn into a weapon. I know that the others and Granny Tsunade would try to keep this secret, but something tells me that somehow that jerk would find out. Better not to use it until I learn what I really can do with this baby.” Naruto asks, with a curious tone, “With that done and over, how do I turn back?” Just then the rings glows and Naruto returns to his regular clothes. Naruto yells out, excitedly, “This is so awesome! So, I need just think about it and I can turn back?”

 

Naruto's Green Lantern ring replies, “That's correct, Naruto Uzumaki. You need to focus your will to use your powers as a Green Lantern. Using the Green Lantern Oath also focuses your will into your ring to use your Green Lantern abilities. `In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight,Let those who worship evil's might,Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!'”

 

Naruto says, with a curious tone, “Sounds pretty weird, but it also sounds kind of cool. It knows that the villains are about to have their butts kicked.” Naruto says, with a smile, “I've got to go! I need to start my training and he heads off into the distance.”

 

(In an unknown dimension; on the meanwhile)

 

Within an unknown dimension, we find a group of figures looking a crystal ball which shows Naruto Uzumaki, with his new Green Lantern ring, leaping off into the distance.

 

One of the figures says, with a female voice, “He has been chosen to weld the willpower ring.”

 

Another figure says, with a male voice, “It has already begun. The warriors of prime universe one hundred have survived their infamous `Blackest Night', but the `true war' of `emotions and light' has begun.”

 

A third figure asks, with a concerned female voice, “Do you think that the teenage warrior can handle what's to come?”

 

The fourth figure says, with a serious male voice, “He will need to be able to handle to come everyone. As the newest `Emerald Knight', his `true abilities' and `true purpose' in the `Spectrum Wars' shall soon be revealed.”

 

(Sometime later; Back in the DC universe)

 

We have returned to the reality of the DC superheroes and we find ourselves back on the planet of Oa where the Green Lanterns from Earth are assembled around Salaak, Kilowog, and various other surviving Green Lanterns.

 

Guy says, with an annoyed tone, “Why did you bring us here? We already have enough to deal with!”

 

Kilowog says, with a serious tone, “Calm down! We may have found one of those `lost rings'!”

 

Kyle asks, curiously, “You have Kilowog?”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “Actually, Kyle Rayner, the ring found a new welder.”

 

John asks, stunned like plenty of the other Green Lanterns in the room, “You mean that there is a new Green Lantern in these newly discovered realities?”

 

Salaak says, with a nod, “Somehow, the rings maintain a bit of a link to Oa and our reality, but the `link' isn't too strong. Currently, it gives access to the new welder of the ring all of the abilities of the ring and information about our reality and all information in the Book of Oa and Green Lantern Corps, but the `line', as you may call it John Steward, may not be strong enough for this `new Lantern' to be under the control of the Book of Oa.”

 

Guy says, with a droll tone, “That's some good news.”

 

Kyle says, with a plain tone, “I don't think that we have to worry. The rings, even with that `slight connection' here, still know the rules of the Green Lantern Corps and they will know to choose someone that will use the Green Lantern rings wisely.”

 

Hal says, with a nod, “You have a good point, Kyle. However, I would like to find this new `Lantern' as soon as possible and see that for myself.”

 

John asks, curiously, “How long will it take to point the location of this ring?”

 

Kilowog says, with a serious tone, “That's going to be awhile, John. Locating the ring in this universe is one thing, even if the Corps is in shambles like this, but locating the ring in another reality that's beyond the others even known to the Guardians? That's another story, John.”

 

Salaak says, with a plain tone, “With the small `trace' and the vast numbers of new realities that we know of, it will take sometime. However, because of the `Blackest Night', there are many `rips' in the fabric of space and time and they are still wide-open, creating gateways, and allowing the ring and all the other Green Lantern rings lost in the `gateways' to be detected across this vast multi-verse. It will take time, but those rings will be found.”

 

Kyle asks, curiously, “What about replacing those rings?”

 

Soranik says, with a plain tone, “With the Guardians leaving him their abilities, they also gave them much of their knowledge and he is starting on creating new rings to replace those that we lost. With Mogo still alive after this whole mess, he is starting to send the rings across the universe to start recruiting. In fact, some of the Lanterns that left because of the third law about `relationships' that the Guardians placed in the Book of Oa, are coming back to Corps.”

 

Kyle says, with a nod, “That's good Soranik. We are going to need all of the Lanterns that we can get after this mess.”

 

Kilowog says, with a plain tone, “And they are going to need elite Lanterns to train them.” Kilowog looks at Hal and he says, with a plain tone, “And that's where you come in, Hal. You are the best of the best of us, especially with your experiences with Parallax and all.”

 

Hal says, with a plain tone, “Kilowog, I won't forgot Parallax, but I don't wish to be reminded of him.”

 

Kilowog says, nervously, “Sorry about that Hal.” Kilowog says, with a serious tone, “With your vast experience, you can teach these Poozers a thing or two and help them get a good start. Sodam agrees and he has agreed to have you put on the Green Lantern Honor Guard with Guy and Kyle immediately. And you can't back out of this one since I insisted.”

 

Hal gives his classic smile and he says, “Okay, Kilowog, I'll do it.”

 

Guy asks, a bit nervously, “What about those Alpha Lanterns?”

 

Soranik says, with a sigh, “Not all of the Guardians mistakes can be corrected, but in this case, we might need the Alpha Lanterns. Since we agreed to keep the first two new laws that the Guardians made, even through we don't like it, we are going to need to make sure that those laws aren't abused.”

 

John asks, curiously, “What about the `lost rings'?”

 

Kilowog says, with a plain tone, “We think that it is for the best that the best of the best of us goes to find them. And the four of you proven to be the best out of all of us through you four always seem to bring trouble wherever you are. However, until the four of you, go, Kyle, Guy, and Hal will be working with me to get these new Poozers into shape. Plus, when these new `Reality Lanterns' or whatever come in, those new Poozers are going to be worked on too.”

 

Kyle says, with a smile, “We have to be careful, big guy. We don't exactly know about these realities. They could have abilities that with our rings, these `newbies' can surprise us.”

 

Kilowog laughs at that and Kilowog says, with a sly grin, “We will have to see about that Kyle! These new Poozers won't know what hit them if they try to take me on!”

 

(Days later; back in the realm of the ninja)

 

Within the realm of the ninja, we find Naruto, in his new Green Lantern uniform looking at three `projections' of himself as they start to create what looks like a Rasengan, but the sphere gains blades like a shrunken. In the days that Naruto gained the new Green Lantern ring, he trained to use its capabilities and he used it in his training. Not only that, he learned how to focus his chakra into his `projections' to form powerful combination attacks along with his Shadow Clones. Naruto also found that he can duplicate his `Green Lantern self' with his Shadow Clones along with his ring, but those `rings' on his Shadow Clones cut his ring's power and the power returns only when the Shadow Clone vanishes. Naruto also learned of the `Green Lantern battery' that he needed to recharge his ring and he learned that he had to say the `Green Lantern Oath' in order to recharge his ring. However, he recently learned about the death of Asuma at the hands of the Akatsuki members known as Hadan and Kakuzu and Kakashi has taken over as temporary leader of Team 10, Choji, Ino, and Shikamaru.

 

Naruto says, with a sigh as he returns back to his normal clothes, “I could have stopped that from happening. With this baby, I could have stopped Asuma-sensei from dying and leaving Kurenai-sensei all alone. But I won't let that crime go unpunished. I'll find a way to stop this madness. Believe it.”

 

Just then a familiar female voice calls out, strongly, “Naruto!” When Naruto turns to the source, he finds his teammate and childhood crush, Sakura Haruno, coming towards him.

 

Sakura says, slightly annoyed, “There you are, Naruto! I've been looking for you!”

 

Naruto says, with his usual foxy smile, “I've been training Sakura-chan.”

 

Sakura says, with a plain tone, “You are going to need to stop your training since Tsunade-sensei wants to see you.”

 

Naruto says, with a curious tone, “Granny Tsunade wants to see me? Something must be up.”

 

Sakura says, with a serious tone, “You know not to keep her waiting! Move it or lose it, Naruto!”

 

Naruto says, with a smile, “Sorry about that Sakura-chan!” Naruto heads off into the distance and Sakura shakes her head with a smile on her lips in which she becomes curious when she sees Naruto's new Green Lantern ring.

 

Sakura thinks in her mind, curiously, “When does Naruto get jewelry?” Sakura shrugs her shoulders and she bounds off after Naruto.

 

(Inside of the Hokage's office; Sometime later)

 

Inside of the Hokage's office, we find Naruto with Team 8 and Gai's team assembled in front of the Hokage AKA Lady Tsunade, who looks younger than she truly is, tells them about their mission in the Land of Bears and the Hidden Star Village.

 

When she is done, Lady Tsunade says, with a serious tone, “The people of the Star Village are still recovering from the loss of their `star' around three years ago and these bandits are causing plenty of problems since plenty of them are missing ninja.”

 

Lee says, with a serious tone, “These bandits and traitors to the ninja way won't get away with such things. The strength of my youth will crush them.”

 

Lady Tsunade says, with a plain tone, “There is also something else. They want to discuss something important that came up recently with Neji, Tenten, Lee, and Naruto.”

 

Tenten asks, curiously, “Important? And why just us?”

 

Tsunade says, with a smile, “You helped them greatly those years ago, Tenten. You are the only four that they really trust from the Leaf Village.”

 

Naruto says, with a sly grin, “Don't worry, Granny Tsunade! I'll finish this mission and take care of those rotten bandits in no time!”

 

Tsunade asks, curiously, “Isn't my mission going to take you away from your training?”

 

Naruto says, with a foxy grin, “I'm actually done with my training and I've already improved on it, but I won't show you, yet! It is a major surprise, Granny Tsunade!”

 

Tsunade thinks in her mind, annoyed, “I wish that brat would stop calling me that!”

 

Neji thinks in his mind, curiously, “A new jutsu, huh? This shall be interesting to see.”

 

Kiba thinks in his mind, with a snort, “Naruto has been developing new jutsu, huh? I'm not going to be left behind everyone!”

 

Tsunade yells out, with a serious tone, “It's time to move out everyone!” The two teams and Jonin-sensei give a military-like salute and nod in unison as they move out for their mission.

 

(In the Land of Bears; Sometime afterwards)

 

In the cliffs and chasm that separated the Land of Bears and the Star Village from the rest of the world, we find Naruto, Hinata, Kiba, Shino, Tenten, Neji, Lee, and Gai fighting off multiple bandits. Neji and Hinata use their Byakugan and Gentle Fist style to great effect, Tenten using her vast weapons, Shino with his bugs, Lee and Gai with their incredible Taijutsu skills, Kiba and Akamaru, Kiba's pet dog, using their Inuzuka clan jutsu, and Naruto, using multiple Shadow Clones, to easily beat his opponent in close range Taijutsu and Ninjutsu combat.

 

Tenten says, with a serious tone, “They weren't kidding about these bandits!” Tenten uses her weapons to knock out two more away while Shino uses his bugs to take out two more.

 

He dodges well-focused fire jutsu attacks and he says, with a plain tone, “I agree with Tenten. They are quite good in their tactics and abilities as well as many in number.”

 

Lee says, with a smile, “They might be good and many, but our flames of youth will crush them with ease!”

 

Gai says, with a wide grin, “That's correct, Lee!” Gai then bashes three more with a well-aimed Taijutsu assault. However, one bandit managed to launch a kunai right into the blind spot of Neji's Byakugan, but not out of sight of Hinata's Byakugan.

 

Hinata yells out, with a serious tone, “Neji-san, watch out!” Hinata then knocks Neji out of the path of the attack and uses her Gentle Fist style to try to knock the kunai away, but she triggers the explosive tag attached to it and it explodes causing Hinata to be flung hard enough to fall off the cliff.

 

Neji yells out, horrified, “Hinata-sama!”

 

Naruto calls out, stunned, “Hinata-chan!” The others try to race to her aid, but the bandits were stopping them. Naruto then thinks in his mind, “I don't have a choice in this! I wanted to save this until I see those Akatsuki jerks or Sasuke again, but I need to save Hinata-chan!” Naruto then dispels his Shadow Clones and activates his Green Lantern ring causing him to be engulfed in a bright green glow blinding everyone else for the moment. When they are able to see, they find Naruto flying through the air in his new Green Lantern uniform.

 

Kiba yells out, `bug-eyed', “Is that Naruto?!” Naruto then uses his ring to create a cartoon-like bomb that totally gets rid of the deadly gas in the chasm before Hinata could hit it in which it was simple for Naruto to grab Hinata and fly her to safety.

 

Hinata asks, amazed, “Naruto-kun, is that you?”

 

Naruto says, with his foxy grin, “Believe it, Hinata-chan! It is a long story!” Naruto puts Hinata down safely and he then uses his ring to grab the remaining bandits, who were just as confused as Naruto's comrades at what was going on, he flings them into trees and onto the ground as well as each other, knocking them out without much trouble. When Naruto lands on the ground, he returns back to his normal clothes.

 

Kiba yells out, coming out his stupor, “Naruto?! What kind of jutsu is that?!”

 

Naruto says, with a grin, “It is not a jutsu really, Kiba. You see, all that comes from this incredible ring that I got.” Naruto then displays his Green Lantern ring and Neji examines it.

 

Neji says, with a plain tone, “There seems to be no chakra coming from it, but from what I saw, it was the source of what Naruto's `unique new abilities'.”

 

Naruto says, with a wide grin, “This beauty doesn't run on chakra!”

 

Tenten asks, perplexed, “If it doesn't work with chakra, is it some kind of magic or something?”

 

Naruto says, with a smile, “It is a long story, everyone. Right now, let's get to the village.”

 

Neji says, with a plain tone, “I do agree with Naruto, but you will need to explain this to us and the Hokage when we get back.”

 

Naruto says, with a wide grin, “Guess I have to Neji! I wanted to save this until later, but I'm glad that Hinata-chan is okay.”

 

Hinata blushes lightly and she says, with a smile, “T-Thank you Naruto-kun.” Just then the blush becomes wider as what transpired comes into her mind and she thinks, “Naruto-kun held me in his arms! I can't faint Hinata! Hinata, don't you dare faint!” Soon after, Hinata focuses her mind on her work in order to keep herself from fainting knowing that Naruto held her in his arms.

 

(Inside of the Star Village; Sometime afterwards)

 

Within the main office, we find the current leader of the Star Village, Hokuto, and Sumaru, both of whom are around 16 years old, assembled together with Naruto, Neji, Tenten, and Lee.

 

The Star Village leader, Acting Hoishikage, tells Naruto, with a smile, “Once again, I would like to thank you for your aid in this manner. Since the destruction of our fable and dangerous star, which might be more of a blessing than curse, we have had problems.”

 

Neji says, with a smile, “It was a real honor to help out.”

 

Lee says, with a smile, “Indeed it was an honor to help your village out.”

 

Naruto tells Hokuto and Sumaru, “It is nice to see you, two, again.”

 

Sumaru says, with a smile, “It is nice to see you, too, Naruto Uzumaki.”

 

Hokuto says, with a slight blush, “It is nice to see you, again, Naruto.”

 

Tenten asks, curiously, “You said that you wanted something to discuss with us personally?”

 

Hokuto gets out a small box and she says, with a nod, “We did, Tenten-san. Some days ago, we found a strange blue light streaking across the sky and it wasn't a meteor since it turned around in which heading straight for Mizura and me. We didn't what it was and Sumaru quickly got this mysterious box that we had since the days of long past in which to said to contain powerful mystical abilities and a strong sealing jutsu to contain it. When we opened the box, we found this.” Hokuto opens the box to reveal a Blue Lantern ring and Naruto gasps in shock.

 

Naruto thinks in his mind, “I know that ring! It looks like a Blue Lantern ring that I saw that my ring told me about!” When the ring blazes with blue light, Hokuto closes the box.

 

Acting Hoishikage tells them, “It reacts when we open the box. We aren't sure what it is and we aren't sure that it is related to our `star' that was destroyed around three years ago. We decided that we didn't want to go through that episode, again, and we knew that we can trust the Leaf Village to keep this safe.”

 

Naruto says, with a plain tone, “Actually, sir, I know what that is.”

 

Everyone looks at Naruto and Hokuto asks, curiously, “You know what it is, Naruto?”

 

Naruto displays his Green Lantern ring and he says, with a serious tone, “I'm going to tell my friends and the leader of my village about it since I revealed it, but I think that you should have the right to know since you got that ring.” Naruto's Green Lantern ring glows as Naruto prepares to show the origin of his ring.

 

(A few days later; Back within the Leaf Village)

 

Inside of the Leaf Village, we find Sakura Haruno continuing her training after she completed her rounds in the hospital and she can't help to think about her best friend, Ino Yamanaka, who had lost their old teacher, Asuma.

 

Sakura thinks in her mind, solemnly, “Poor Ino-chan. She has lost her sensei and they, along with the rest of her team, were quite close.” Sakura then gains images of the Akatsuki and she thinks, her anger rising, “Those rotten Akatsuki jerks! They take and hurt everyone! It was because of them especially Itachi that Sasuke is gone! Granny Chiro lost her life giving Gaara back his life after taking out the Bijuu within him! And now, they have killed Ino-chan's sensei! Those Akatsuki are the reason that Sasuke is with Orochimaru and that Naruto keeps getting into so much danger! And they are after Naruto's life just because of that `thing' within him! They make me so mad!” Sakura then gains images of Itachi and the rest of the Akatsuki that she met along with Naruto when he tried to get Sasuke back to the Leaf Village around three years ago causing her anger to grow in which she lashes out with her chakra super-strength at trees and the ground as the thoughts of the Akatsuki make her enraged, but she doesn't notice the strange red light that takes notices and heads towards her. Sakura yells out, angrily, “Those rotten jerks! When I get my hands on them and Orochimaru, I'm going to make them wish that they were never born!” Just then a red light comes into Sakura's eyes and she yells out, perplexed, “What is this?”

Just then a deep sinister monotone voice calls out, “Sakura Haruno of this reality, you have great rage in your heart.” Soon after, Sakura screams out as a red light engulfs her form.

 

(A bit later; Outside of the Leaf Village)

 

Our group heads back with the box in their hands and after Naruto hold told about his Green Lantern ring and the origins, the Star Village felt it was best that Naruto take care of it. Afterwards, he had to explain to Hinata, Kiba, Shino, and Gai about his ring and what it can as well as well the origins through he let his ring do most of the `talking' for him as it were.

 

Kiba yells out, stunned and quite annoyed, “I don't get why a guy like you gets a cool ring like that! The ability to create and do anything is so awesome!”

 

Shino says, with a plain tone, “You have to remember that the ring chose Naruto since he has the ability to overcome great fear. The ring uses the emotions of living beings namely willpower.”

 

Neji says, with a nod, “Shino is indeed correct, Kiba. Fear can weaken a person's resolve to do anything and this ring only works when someone focuses their willpower into it. Only those with great willpower can use the ring's true abilities.”

 

Tenten says, with a smile, “And it is not surprising that it chose Naruto! He has tons of willpower and the meaning of fear, if he learned, doesn't have any meaning for him.”

 

Naruto says, nervously, “Thank you, Tenten-chan.”

 

Neji says, with a serious tone, “However, this `Blackest Night' gives me great worry. If it ripped open holes in the fabric of reality of the universe that this ring came from, then those other `Lantern rings' as they are called have also come through as evidence with this ring. From what we are told, some of them are not good. This `emotion spectrum' has willpower and green in the middle and those that are left to willpower are `negative emotions', rage, greed, and fear, with those to the right are `positive emotions', hope, compassion, and love, through these emotions can be used to positive aspects. However, it seems like rage and love, the farthest away from the middle, have incredible `influence' over the welders of the users which is not surprising since those two emotions are very powerful and a tendency to `override' logical thought. Something tells me that Naruto gained this ring for a reason and it looks like this `War of Light' which is more of war of `lights' and `emotions' is coming to our world.”

 

Shino says, with a nod, “I agree Neji. Naruto, right now, is our best defense against this threat right now since he is welding this `Green Lantern ring'. This is a type of fight that we never fought and our abilities might not be good unless we have one of these rings to aid us.”

 

Gai says, with a nod, “That's agreed, Shino. We need to inform the Hokage quickly.”

 

Shino tells Naruto, with a plain tone, “We can understand why you kept this a secret from all of us, but this is very important because if a war from another reality is coming to our world with usual `weapons' and such that we have never seen before, we are going to need to find a way to fight it before it starts.” When the group got a hill overlooking the village, they are horrified to see plenty of the village in flames right now.

 

Hinata yells out, horrified, “The village is on fire!”

 

Just then Naruto's Green Lantern ring says, in its monotone computer voice, “Warning! Red Lantern ring detected! Warning! Red Lantern ring detected!”

 

Tenten asks, curiously, “Red Lantern? Didn't your ring say that Red Lantern use rage as their `energy source'?!”

 

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “And the blood of their fallen enemies as power! Someone in the village must have let their anger get the better of them and a Red Lantern ring sensed it! When that ring gets on your finger, you get `swallowed' by rage energy that you turn into a `monster' no better than the Nine-Tailed Fox!”

 

Kyuubi yells out, annoyed, “I resent that kit! No one is a bigger or worse `monster' than me!”

 

Naruto ignores his `tenant' and he says, seriously, “And the worst news is that Red Lanterns can make my ring go bonkers and make my mind wacky with its rage energy if I get hit!”

 

Kiba says, nervously, “That's not good!”

 

Hinata asks, nervously, “What can you do?”

Naruto says, taking the box containing the Blue Lantern ring, “This is the only ring that can negate that ring's attacks, but we need someone with strong hope to wear it!”

 

Just then another explosion comes from the village and Lee says, seriously, “There is no time Naruto!” Naruto `changes' into his Green Lantern uniform and he flies off into the distance towards the explosion.

 

Hinata thinks in her mind, concerned, “Be careful, Naruto-kun.”

 

Kiba says, with a serious tone, “We need to get in there and help the village! Naruto might be in over his head, but that knucklehead always finds a way to get out of it! Right now, we need to help out as fellow Leaf ninja!”

 

Lee says, with a smile, “You are right, Kiba-san!” Immediately, the group heads towards the village which is being burned by intense flames.

 

(A few seconds afterwards; in the center of the village)

 

Naruto lands in the epicenter of the last explosion and looks to see pure chaos in the village as people are running for their lives and fires are raging nearly everywhere.

 

Naruto asks, curiously, “Where is that Red Lantern?” Just then Naruto hears something and turns his head to see a beam of powerful red energy heading towards him in which he barely jumps out of the way. Naruto then looks and gasps in horror to see Sakura, wearing a Red Lantern uniform similar to Laira's uniform when she became a Red Lantern. Naruto asks, horrified, “Sakura-chan?! You?!” Sakura gives a primal roar as she unleashes another beam of rage energy from the Red Lantern ring on her right hand's ring finger. Naruto asks, strongly, “How do I save her from that ring?”

 

The Green Lantern ring replies, “Unknown. Only Blue Lantern ring seem to have effectiveness against Red Lantern ring energy. Red Lantern rings can corrupt Green Lantern rings and make welders slightly unstable with their `auras of rage'. Red Lantern rings become the `heart' of the welder and its energy replaces their blood with powerful acid that can work in the depths of space. Removal of ring has resulted in usual death of Red Lantern because of these conditions.”

 

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “You are some help, buddy!” Naruto thinks in his mind, “If I just remove that ring, which seems to be impossible, Sakura-chan will die! There has to be a way to save her! I already lost Sasuke and I'm not going to lose Sakura-chan! I'll find a way to save her from that ring!” Naruto dodges another attack from Red Lantern Sakura and he yells out, strongly, “Sakura-chan! You need to snap out of it! That ring is controlling you! It is filling you with rage! You need to stop!” Sakura gives an animal-like roar as she launches flames from her red ring at Naruto and he barely flies out of the way. Naruto creates an energy dome with his ring, but Sakura unleashes a powerful rage aura that destroys it. Naruto then unleashes his Shadow Clone jutsu in which he creates several dozen clones that charge at Sakura in which she counters by hitting back with flames from her red ring getting rid of one dozen clones, but another group manages to grab onto Sakura and barely manage to hold her as she cries out with animalistic cries and roars. Naruto yells out, pleadingly, “Sakura-chan, you need to stop and look at me!” When Sakura looks at him as he takes off his mask, revealing his face, and he says, pleadingly, “Sakura-chan, it's me, Naruto. You need to snap out of it.”

 

Sakura's expression softens and she croaks out, “N-Naruto… W-What's… g-going on…?” Sakura gives another cry of rage and unleashes a burst of energy that vaporizes Naruto's Shadow Clones in which Naruto barely flies out of the way, but even through he isn't hit by the aura itself, the shockwave causes him to crash onto the ground causing him to drop the box which contains the Blue Lantern ring which opens to reveal the ring which glows with a powerful blue light. However, Naruto is focused on Sakura when he gets to his feet.

 

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “I'm not going to give up on you, Sakura-chan! I know there is a way to save you! I'm not going to give up hope on you, Sakura-chan!” Just then the Blue Lantern ring reacts to that and immediately zips over to Naruto, who is surprised.

 

The Blue Lantern ring says, in a slightly less monotone voice, “Naruto Uzumaki, first Green Lantern of this reality, what do you hope for?”

 

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “I hope and dream to be Hokage so that everyone will respect me for who I am! I hope to stop the Akatsuki and their evil plans! I hope for a beautiful future where I get a best friend that was like a brother to me back from the darkness! And right now, I really hope and believe that I can save Sakura-chan from the Red Lantern ring!”

 

Just then the Blue Lantern ring goes onto Naruto's right hand's index finger and it says, “You are indeed sincere. Naruto Uzumaki, first Green Lantern of this reality, you have hope's aura coursing through your very being. Welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps!” Just then Naruto is engulfed in blue and green lights and Sakura looks over to see what's going on causing her to yelp from the intense light. When she is able to see, she finds Naruto having his Green Lantern uniform altered with deep stripes running all over his uniform with the insignias of the Green and Blue Lantern Corps on his chest with his headband gaining the Blue Lantern insignia on the left side of the Leaf Village leaf insignia.

 

Naruto's Green Lantern ring says, plainly, “Power Ring energy at one-hundred fifty percent and rising.”

 

Naruto says, with an amazed tone, “This is incredible! I feel awesome!” Naruto looks at Sakura and he says, with a serious tone, “It's time to share this `new hope' with someone that I care about a lot.” Naruto then charges in using his flying abilities as Sakura unleashes flames from her red ring, but Naruto manages to dodge them and he takes aim right at his ring. Naruto yells out, with a strong and determined tone, “I said that I will save from that ring, Sakura-chan, and I never go back on my promises! This is my ninja way, Sakura-chan!” Naruto then unleashes a powerful blue and green beam of energy and Sakura cries out as the blast slams into the Red Lantern ring in which it is totally obliterated in a huge explosion of light energy!

 

(On the planet of Odym; In the DC universe)

 

On the planet of Odym, home of the Blue Lantern Corps established by ex-Guardians Ganthet and Sayd, we find the former female Guardian looking up into the sky as she `senses' something.

 

Sayd thinks in her mind, seriously and curiously, “I can feel it. A Green Lantern has also become a member of our Corps as well. A being who has great willpower and hope within him. I must inform Ganthet immediately.”

 

(Back in the Leaf Village; a short time soon after)

 

Returning the Leaf Village, we find Lady Tsunade leaping to the scene of the `light explosion' with Shizune and some ANBU in which she is surprised to see Naruto, in his new combo Blue/Green Lantern uniform, using his Blue Lantern ring to heal Sakura from the effects of the Red Lantern ring.

 

When he is done, Sakura opens her eyes and she says, weakly, “Naruto?”

 

Naruto says, with a smile, “It's all right, Sakura-chan. It's over.” Sakura can't help to smile as she falls into a deep sleep as Naruto takes her into his arms. Naruto turns around to see Tsunade, Shizune, and the ANBU looking at him.

 

Tsunade asks Naruto, “Naruto?”

 

Naruto says, with a nervous smile, “Nice to see you, Granny Tsunade.”

 

Shizune asks, perplexed, “Naruto, what's going on here? What happened? We heard that Sakura went berserk on the village using some kind of weird red ring, these fires and explosions stared up, and now, you are here with that weird uniform! What's going on?”

 

Tsunade says, with a serious tone, “That's something that we would all like to know, Naruto.”

 

Naruto says, with a sigh, “That's a long story, Granny Tsunade. You had better call Gai-sensei and the others that went with me to the Star Village since I already told him since they found out already.”

 

Tsunade says, with a nod, “And I will, Naruto. And when Sakura is in bed and these fires are out, we are going to need to have a long talk.”

 

Naruto thinks in his mind, with a sigh, “This is going to be a long day.”

 

(Within another reality; on the meanwhile)

 

Inside of some kind of reality that's nearly pitch black and covered in grey shadows, we find dozens of sinister golden eyes looking at some kind of crystal ball as they witness Naruto flying off to the Leaf Village hospital with the unconscious Sakura Haruno in his arms.

 

One of the figures says, in a dark cold female voice, “He has harness the Blue and Green Lantern rings. The auras of hope and willpower flow him like his own blood.”

 

Another figure says, with a dark cold male voice, “He may be one of the warriors that can stop us in our quest in the `Spectrum Wars' to come.”

 

A third figure asks, with a male voice and a dark cold plain tone, “What do you wish to do?”

 

The first male figure says, with a dark cold plain tone, “We are going to keep observing him for now. The greatest foe of Hal Jordan shall soon appear in his world and we shall see how this new `Emerald Knight' handles HIM. And even through he can handle Hal Jordan's greatest foe, his `light' won't stop our darkness.” They take out strangely glowing grey Lantern rings with an unfamiliar black insignia in the top center portion of the ring which glow with a sinister dark aura.

This is the first chapter of my Naruto/DC universe crossover.
