Like I said in the last chapter commentary, I’m sorry if the Chunin Exams and Invasion arc seemed very fast with invasion part only covering a chapter, but it mainly remains the same through what happens in the arena is much different due ‘certain factors’. You must be wondering who are the other new ‘Dark Signers’, you are going to have to wait until you find out because there is more to come. Now, we are moving onto the search for Tsunade which will also begin the search for Jaden Yuki and Alexis Rhodes in which many more shocks and surprises are to come everyone.

Chapter 15: Start of a New Journey

Right now, we find ourselves in the Leaf Village’s arena where the Chunin Exam finals were being held and right now, the people that were put asleep by Kabuto’s Genjutsu were waking up due Kushina Uzumaki, who has revealed to be a Dark Signer who has just come out of a form of stasis that she was in for over a decade due to ‘compilations’ of her ‘transformation’ into a Dark Signer when she died on the day of Naruto’s birth, using her Netherworld enhanced chakra to negate the Genjutsu somehow.

After taking out a few more Sound ninja, Gai tells Kakashi, “You can’t be serious, Kakashi!”

Kakashi tells Gai, “I am serious, Gai. That was Kushina-sama herself and she has been transformed into one of them, a Dark Signer. However, she is looking for revenge on the Leaf Village learning what they did to her son. Our Hokage would have been dead if Naruto didn’t stop her with his words. You know how powerful she was alive, but an undead Dark Signer, you felt her power, didn’t you?”

Gai says, shivering, “I did, Kakashi. And it was no kidding.”

Sakura, overhearing, thinks in her mind, “It can’t be! Naruto’s own mom, a Dark Signer, an enemy that Naruto has to face as a Signer?! Hasn’t Naruto had enough problems already?!”

Ino asks, just waking up, “What’s going on?”

Sakura tells Ino, “It’s about time, Ino-Pig! We’re under attack from Sound and Sand ninja!”

Ino asks, surprised, “Huh?” Just then she, Choji, and Lee see Gai and Kakashi take down another few ninja while Kasumi, Ninja Ryu, and Shino with Genma for support are battling Kankuro, Temari, and Baki. Temari is still worn out for her battle with Shikamaru and Kasumi has no trouble in taking her down while Shino uses his bug to drain Kankuro dry despite his various tactics while Ninja Ryu easily puts Baki into a stalemate while Gaara is on the ground with his yokai chakra sealed due to the jutsu used on him by Naruto.

Choji yells out, stunned, “We are under attack!” In another part of the stadium, Sasuke has trouble, but he manages to take out some Sound ninja without too much trouble.

Back on the roof, the new arrivals heard what happened on the roof and Kiba yells out, stunned, “No way! Naruto’s mom, one of those undead Dark Signers, the people that he has to fight?!”

Davis says, with a plain tone, “Believe it, pal!”

Ayane tells Davis, “I don’t think we should say that with Naruto. He is already in shock.”

Hinata says, solemnly, “Naruto-kun…”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh, “This is just really ducky, Old Man.”

Third Hokage says, with a sigh, “I know, Jiraiya.”

Raikage says, with a plain tone, “Doesn’t mean that she is in the wrong, Hokage-sama. Your village gave her the reason to be so pissed off right on and whatever monsters are controlling her used that to turn her into the force to bring your doom!”

Third Hokage says, with a sigh, “As much as I would like to argue, there is no arguing the truth, Raikage-sama.”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “There is a bit of good news. The civilians and Academy students are safely in the tunnels just as planned and enemy isn’t making too far advances through pockets of them are getting through, but they are being taken care of.”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “With the retreat of Orochimaru, I think that we should reveal to them that their Kazekage is dead.”

Raikage asks, curiously, “Dead?”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “Most likely, Orochimaru has killed the Kazekage, who came here to bring the plan to fruition, and took his place to do it in his own fashion leaving the Sand devastated after the Leaf was destroyed.”

Yugito says, with a plain tone, “Two birds with one stone and he would make a wider conflict by luring other nations to attack while Sand is even weaker than before.”

Jiraiya says, with a nod, “Bingo.”

Killer Bee says, with a snort, “That’s really wack, yo!”

Third Hokage asks Raikage, “Raikage, can I trust to make an agreement in the aftermath of this attack for a non-aggression pact to ensure that ‘wild rumors’ don’t bring hostilities between our two villages?”

Raikage says, with a plain tone, “I think that we can come to agreement since neither of us like that snake, Hokage-sama.” On the meanwhile, Hinata is embracing Naruto, who has tears in his eyes knowing that his mother has become one of his enemies as a Signer, a Dark Signer.

Hinata tells Naruto, lowly, “Naruto-kun, I’m here for you.”

Ayane tells Naruto, in a comforting tone, “We’re all are, Naruto. We’re Signers, a family, like the Signers before us including our parents.”

Ryu says, showing his Mark of the Dragon, “And the ‘Mark of the Dragon’ is the symbol of our bond. And there is a chance that we can save your mother. Aunt Carly was once a Dark Signer.”

Plenty of people especially Naruto look at Ryu and Naruto asks, “She was?” Soon after, Ryu and Ayane explain what happened when Carly was a Dark Signer along with the rest of the battles with the Dark Signers including what happened in the end with Yusei, Jack, and Crow Turbo Dueling against Rex Goodwin with Yusei using Majestic Star Dragon to defeat Goodwin’s Earthbound Immortal.

Kiba yells out, stunned, “Whoa! Wait a minute, folks! They were revived!”

Ayane says, with a nod, “Kalin and Aunt Carly were Dark Signers and after Rex Goodwin was defeated, they were revived back to life since they didn’t become Dark Signers of their own free will. Your mom didn’t become a Dark Signer of her own free will. The Earthbound Immortals turned her into a Dark Signer and used what happened to you to create darkness within her.”

Ryu tells Naruto, “She might be trapped in the Netherworld for a time, but there is a great chance that once all of the Earthbound Immortals are defeated and resealed, your mom will be free and in fact, she could be revived back to life!”

Jiraiya says, overhearing this, “Are you sure about this? Even I think that it is far fetched, Ryu-san.”

Ayane says, with a nod, “It’s true! Normally, they don’t have any memories of them being Dark Signers through Kalin is an exception, but don’t ask him about his memories as a Dark Signer. They are too painful for him.”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “So, there is hope.”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “So, if they are becoming Dark Signers unwilling, they can return? However, I think there is more to becoming a Dark Signer than just dying.”

Ryu says, with a nod, “Mom and dad explained more about the Dark Signers. If the Earthbound Immortals finds someone that has a great will to live or a great desire for revenge, they will choose them. Also, the Dark Signers needs to have a connection to us, Signers, in one form or another.”

Jiraiya asks, curiously, “But wait, if the Earthbound Immortals chose Kushina as one of the newest Dark Signers, how would they know that Naruto would become a Signer? The original Signers were still around way back then and Naruto has only become a Signer now. Why take her and way back then before Naruto became a Signer?”

Ayane says, with a shrug, “I don’t know, but we know that there is a new owner of the Spider mark since Anko-san was turned into a Shadow Drone.”

Ryu says, with a plain tone, “And I think that the Earthbound Immortals have a sick sense of humor as well. Uncle Jack dueled against Aunt Carly when she was a Dark Signer and looks like they wish to repeat history with Naruto. Since Naruto has Uncle Jack’s ‘Mark of the Dragon’, they are forcing him to duel someone that he loves even through he never met her until now.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “Like I care, it makes me more determined to put those ‘Earthbound Rats’ back into the dirt where they belong! If they think that they can use my mom to weaken me, they have got another thing coming!”

Davis tells Naruto, with a plain tone, “Are you okay with that? You are going to fight your own mom.”

Naruto says, with a sigh, “I don’t want to, but I know that I got to. If I want to save her from herself and from those rotten Earthbound Immortals trying to turn her into some kind of mass murdered in which she will never forgive herself if I don’t free her before then. I may be still pissed off with what much of the village did in spitting on hers and dad’s memory with what they did to me, but it doesn’t mean that you go and murder them all like that. It makes me no better… Actually, you would be far worse than they are! And I’m not going to let my mom become the monster that those bakas tried to make me look like!”

Third Hokage says, with a smile, “Your father, Minato, would be proud to hear those words, Naruto.”

Killer Bee says, with a plain tone, “Sorry to interrupt your moment, you know, but we’ve got foes to fight, yo!”

Raikage smacks himself mentally and he thinks, “Bee, when are you going to stop that idiotic rhyming?!”

Yugito says, with a plain tone, “Despite the way he said it, Bee-sama has a point, Raikage-sama. And if we want to make sure that we show that we have no involvement, I believe that we should help out.”

Raikage says, with a nod, “I agree, Yugito. At least I can get a decent workout out of this mess!” Raikage yells out, strongly, “Bee! Yugito! Let’s go!” Raikage then smashes through the roof of the Kage stands and dives right into battle with Bee following.

Yugito sighs and she tells Third Hokage, “Forgive us for the damage to the roof, Hokage-sama.” Yugito then dives off to join her cousin and village leader into battle.

Jiraiya says, with a grin, “I see that he hasn’t changed since he became Kage of his village.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “I know, Jiraiya. But his power is undeniable.”

Naruto asks Davis, “Do you need some help getting off here?”

Davis says, with a smile, “No need, Naruto.” Davis tells Ken, “Hey, bro, does Wormmon mind giving Veemon a hand?”

Ken tells Davis, “No problem, Davis.”

Haku tells Naruto, “I’ll keep the others safe while you take care of everything down below, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a grin, “Great, Haku! I appreciate it! Believe it!” Soon enough, Naruto and Jiraiya head down into the arena while Davis and Ken prepare their Digimon partners to become a massive Digimon known as Imperialdramon to get them down from the roof. Down in the arena, we find Baki, Kankuro, and Temari defeated with Gaara making to get up as Naruto and Jiraiya land.

Gaara asks, weakly, “What’s going on?” When Gaara looks at Naruto, he says, with a growl, “Namikaze…” But when he tries to use his sand, it collapses in which Gaara gasps in shock.

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “Don’t even try it, kid. My boy put a special sealing jutsu which makes you unable to use your Biju’s chakra and not to mention that your chakra control is kind of shot until it comes off.”

Gaara says, weakly, “No…”

Naruto tells Gaara, “You aren’t killing anyone today, Gaara. And your teammates are also done.”

Gaara says, weakly, “I won’t let you… I won’t cease to exist… I won’t…” Gaara then tries to charge, but Naruto whips out his Dragon Sword and puts it to his neck.

Naruto tells Gaara, “You won’t need to disappear, Gaara. But it is over, Gaara. I can have Pervy Sage there look at your seal and make it that you can sleep again.”

Gaara asks, weakly and surprised, “What? Why?”

Naruto tells Gaara, “Because you and I are the same. Before I learned about my parents, I suffered the same way that you have. I was alone and people compared me to the demon that was sealed inside of me by my dad.” Gaara’s eyes widen and Naruto says, “However, there are differences between us, Gaara. Your dad wanted you to be a weapon while my dad wanted me to be a hero. He only sealed the fox within me to keep it away from a bad man that wanted and wanted me to protect people from this man. I also had people that cared about me and brought me away from the darkness. They brought me into the light and gave me a chance to shine which I do now. I know your pain, Gaara. And I can save from it, but only if you let me. However, if you become a threat to my precious people, I will not hesitate to finish you off and end you once and for all.”

Jiraiya tells Gaara, “The gaki is telling the truth, kid. Even through you’ve been through it longer than he has, there is still hope for you. Now, what you will decide?” Gaara looks into Naruto’s eyes and he knows that Naruto is speaking the truth in which he goes down on his knees in which he shows that he surrenders causing Naruto to put away the Dragon Sword.

(Back on the battlefield; on the meanwhile)

As this was going, the Leaf Village forces were soon gaining the upper hand in which Ninja Ayane uses a powerful technique known as Art of the Raging Mountain God in which she unleashes a powerful creation aura that blasts all of the enemies around here which are Sand and Sound ninja sent flying everyone in which they hit the ground, hard, causing many wounds on them if they didn’t get killed.

A group of Sand ninja tries to get closer into the village through a crack in the defense, but Neko and a squad of ANBU are upon then in which Neko yells out, “You aren’t going any further, Sand ninja!” As the battle continues on, the battles were hard, but in the end, the Leaf Village continued to gain the edge in other areas like Hiashi Hyuga battling with a group of Sand ninja and defeating them his clan Taijutsu. Soon enough, it was soon apparent that the battles would be hard, but the Leaf Village shall win the battle in the end.

(The following day; Inside of the Hokage tower)

Within the Hokage tower, we find Third Hokage and the ninja council assembled together in the council chambers discussing the aftermath of the invasion by the Sound and Sand.

Shikaku Nara tells everyone, “And that’s about it. Even through our losses are much less than what both the Sound and the Sand loss during the invasion, we have lost plenty of good ninja. And the chaos of the events of the invasion, plenty of the village is demolished or greatly damaged. It will take much time and effort to rebuild, but if we didn’t have the idea of the invasion that we did, things could have been much worse.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Indeed, Shikaku-san. We must thank Hayabusa-sama for his efforts in the month between the preliminaries and the final part of the exam.”

Inoichi Yamanaka says, with a nod, “Agreed, Hokage-sama. However, about what happened in the stadium…”

Third Hokage tells Inoichi, “I know that it seems far-fetched, but it was indeed Kushina, revived by the Earthbound Immortals as one of their ‘Dark Signers’. It was no Genjutsu and even through corrupted, her chakra was unmistakable.”

The ninja council gasp and Tsume yells out, “Forgive me, Hokage-sama, but I can’t believe this! I can’t believe that Kushina would do anything!”

Third Hokage tells Tsume, “Can you truly blame her?”

Tsume says, with a sigh, “I really can not, Hokage-sama. After what this village did to her and Minato’s pup, I would rip everyone to pieces if it was my pups, no matter how much runts they are.”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “However, Kushina is under the influence of the corrupting forces of the Netherworld, but based on the knowledge of what the Fudo twins know of the Earthbound Immortals, there are still some unanswered questions. However, since they take people that have a great desire for revenge or great need to live, it is easy to theorize that they found Kushina for her need to live for her son.”

The ninja council nod their heads in agreement and Shikaku tells Third Hokage, “Hokage-sama, are you sure about what you said?”

Third Hokage says, with a sigh, “I am. Her strength hasn’t seem to decrease and maybe enhanced with the dark powers within her now. If it wasn’t for Naruto, she would have killed me instantly, so, it is not beyond the imagination that she can destroy the village single-handed through she might use her Earthbound Immortal to attack us as well. Using the dark powers of the Netherworld, she could make her Immortal real. Most likely, she will use the technology of the outside world to aid in that like Signer Ayane Fudo does, everyone.”

Hiashi asks Third Hokage, “What shall we do Hokage-sama?”

Third Hokage says, with a sigh, “There is nothing that we can do, Hiashi. Your daughter and the other Signers are the only hope since they are the only ones that can defeat ‘Dark Signers’. Based on what knowledge the Fudo twins says, there is a chance to save Kushina from the darkness of the Earthbound Immortals and possibly revive her since she didn’t become a Dark Signer of her own free will.”

There are gasps of shock and Tsume asks, stunned, “Kushina revived from the dead?!”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Only when the Earthbound Immortals have been defeated this time and plus, there is the most powerful Earthbound Immortal, Red Nova, was sealed away in the entity known as Red Nova Dragon by Jack Atlas, the one that had the Crimson Dragon’s wings before Naruto. On the day the original Signers were murdered, the seal, which was a Duel Monsters card, was broken and Red Nova released, but some of its power remained in the Signer Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend, which was enough to combine with the full power of the Nine-Tailed Fox’s chakra which has origins from the Netherworld partially, to reform the said Red Nova Dragon. Red Nova shall be coming after Naruto and he was warned just sometime ago that Red Nova shall be making its move on him to reclaim its lost power. I inform you of this because Naruto needs to be ready as soon as possible along with other threats to come. Jiraiya has informed that his spy network has found out that Orochimaru was once part of an organization known as the Akatsuki.”

Hiashi asks, curiously, “What is this Akatsuki organization, Hokage-sama?”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “They are a group of rogue ninja, S-class to be exact, and Itachi Uchiha is among their number.”

There are gasps of shock and Inoichi yells out, “The one that destroyed the Uchiha clan is in that organization?!”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “And based on what the fox told us in Naruto’s battle with Paradox, Madara Uchiha, the one that released the fox from Kushina and attacked the village with it, is most likely the leader of the organization. From what Jiraiya is said, they are after many things including most of all, the Biju.” There are gasps of shock and Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “And it is also most likely, they have sensed the power of the Crimson Dragon that came from the village starting with said battle between Paradox and Naruto.”

Shikaku says, with a plain tone, “So, they may go after the Signers as well? Troublesome, Hokage-sama.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Indeed, Shikaku. And in light of that and what happened during the invasion, I’m must there is one thing that I reluctantly agree with my former student: There needs to be a new Hokage. I talked about giving the position to Jiraiya, but he feels unworthy of the position through despite his ‘flaws’, he is well suited for the job, but his spy network and observation on Orochimaru and the Akatsuki was a good point in which I agreed to his suggestion to find the only one other worthy of being Hokage at this time: My other student and granddaughter of our First Hokage, Tsunade Senju.”

There are gasps from the ninja council and Choza, Choji’s father, says, “But Hokage-sama, Tsunade hasn’t been found in years!”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “Which is why Jiraiya will find her and Naruto shall be the ‘ace in the hole’ to bring her home. As you well know, Tsunade was close to Kushina and Minato and in fact, Kushina was student of Tsunade at one time. However, she had left after what happened with the Kyuubi and as we well know to our shame, there were those that made sure that she didn’t knew that her godson was alive and the Kyuubi container.”

Hiashi says, with a sneer, “I remember that day well, Hokage-sama. With the power and tricks that they had, there wasn’t much that we could do and messengers that we secretly sent out couldn’t find her in which she was still suffering from the loss of her brother and lover years before.” Hiashi asks, curiously, “But when she knows that Naruto is alive and what happened, she might… do more harm to the Leaf Village than want to lead it.”

Third Hokage says, with a grin, “I’m sure that learning about what happened recently might change Tsunade’s mood… at least to help us to ensure that if we rebuild the civilian council, they will never again have any power especially with her, Hiashi-san.” There are plenty of grins coming from the ninja council and even one from Hiashi, which is a rarity in itself.

(Overlooking the Leaf Village; on the meanwhile)

Just outside of the Leaf Village, we find two figures wearing red cloaks with red clouds on it and straw hats are looking down at the damaged Leaf Village.

One of them, the taller of the two, says, with a deep sly tone, “It looks like that they survived… barely.”

The shorter one of the two replies, in a cold plain tone, “Once this village was the greatest of the five great hidden ninjas and look at it now.”

The taller of the two says, “You almost sound sad. Don’t tell me that you have feelings for your old home, Itachi.”

The shorter of the two says, “No, none at all, Kisame.” The shorter figure’s eyes can be seen to reveal two fully developed Sharingan eyes.

The taller figure tells the shorter figure with the Sharingan eyes, Itachi, “Shall we go now?”

Itachi replies to the taller figure, Kisame, “We shall, Kisame. But remember, the people of this village will not give him up so easy especially the ninja since he is the son of the Fourth Hokage after all. And remember, even through they are weakened, the two of us can’t take this entire village by ourselves.”

Kisame replies, “So says you, Itachi. However, you do have a point. It would be too much trouble and one of those morons might get lucky.”

Itachi tells Kisame, “Remember our second target other than Naruto, Kisame: The Signers. Most likely, all five have been assembled and we must find them.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Right, Itachi.” Soon enough, the two of them head off into the village to find their two targets not knowing that their ‘first target’ is part of their ‘second target’.

(Sometime later; Inside of the Leaf Village)

Today, we find ourselves in the main yard of the gates of the Leaf Village as Naruto is trying to learn to ride a Duel Board and… he isn’t doing too well. He falls to the ground for the one-hundredth and rubs his head.

Ayane tells Naruto, with a sigh, “Naruto, Turbo Dueling is a form a dueling that’s above just standing around with duel disks.”

Naruto says, rubbing his head, “I thought that this was just dueling while riding on something.”

Davis tells Naruto, with a sigh, “It’s far more than that bro.”

Ryu says, with a nod, “Since you are moving, even if it is a Turbo Dueling arena, you need to be aware of your surroundings, harness the strength of your ride, and speed which is a factor on Accel Synchro Summoning.”

Kalin tells Naruto, “This is why Turbo Dueling is on a level above regular dueling.”

Naruto says, with a plain tone, “Well, if I’m going to face these Dark Signers, I’m going to need to know how to duel in all forms including that since they will be Turbo Dueling too.”

Ryu says, with a nod, “Some of the Dark Signers did fight as Turbo Duelists, Naruto.”

Ninja Ayane says, plainly, “It was wise to train in the ways of a Turbo Duelist, but you are far behind Davis, Ayane, and Ryu, Naruto. They’ve had much practice on their Duel Boards and with Duel Runners, with help from their parents and family.”

Izzy tells Ryu, “Speaking of Acceleration Synchro Summon, it is so prodigious! I’ve studied records of your father and none other than you has been able to do it.”

Mimi says, amazed, “It was so incredible! You vanished and then reappeared with that incredible monster!”

Davis asks Ryu, “How did you or your dad do it for that matter?”

Ryu replies, with a plain tone, “Not just anyone can Accel Synchro Summon. And it takes more than having the required Synchro Tuner monster and ‘regular’ Synchro Monster, my dad said that you needed ‘Clear Mind’.”

TK asks, curiously, “Clear Mind?”

Ryu says, with a plain tone, “My dad said that his first attempt to Accel Synchro failed because he didn’t have that. Clear Mind is combination of the speed needed to Accel Synchro Summon and your mind needs to be ‘clear’ of any distractions focusing on what’s at hand which will allow you to control Ener-D, the energy of dueling with one’s heart. My dad’s attempt to Accel Synchro failed because his mind was full of doubt due to his enemy’s taunting and hitting a sore spot, but he managed to clear his mind of that especially when he felt the other Signers’ strength and feeling through his ‘Mark of the Dragon’. Whoever or whatever called out to me made me realize that and I focused on protecting all that I held dear and cleared my head of all doubt and distraction in which Naruto, Davis, Hinata, and Ayane helped me do through our ever-forming bond.

Hinata says, looking at her ‘Mark of the Dragon’, “I could feel Ryu needed our support through our ‘Mark of the Dragon’.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “Same here, Hinata-chan. I knew that Ryu needed our support and I thought about helping and giving him my support.”

Ayane says, with a smile, “Dad would have been proud of you, Ryu. You performed Accel Synchro and brought out his Shooting Star Dragon on your first try.”

Ryu says, with a nod, “I know, sis.” Ryu then looks at his dad’s Shooting Star Dragon (3300/2500) ‘Accel’ Synchro Monster card and he says, “And we’re going to need him, everyone. Both Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon are the strongest monsters that we have right now other than the Egyptian God cards.”

Leon says, with a nod, “Something tells me that you are going to need them, Ryu.”

Ayane says, with a nod, “We are since it looks like that those Machine Emperors are back. I don’t get it. Who built that Hermit guy and how did they get their hands on those cards? When our family defeated ZONE and Aproia and stopped their plans as well as change the future, I don’t think those cards survived.”

Ryu tells Ayane, “Well, Neo Paradox got his hands on the original Paradox’s Malefic deck, so, it shows that we are in danger.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “No joke, Ryu. Those ‘Synchro Killer’ cards are dangerous if they can absorb our Synchro Monsters.”

Ryu says, with a plain tone, “And while our Cosmic Synchro Monsters, Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon, can handle Wisel and Skiel, but Grannel is much more dangerous since it can negate the abilities of Synchro Monsters including Shooting Star Dragon’s and Red Nova Dragon’s abilities to remove themselves from play and negate an attack making them vulnerable to being absorbed.”

Ayane says, with a smile, “However, our same friend that saved us also delivered new cards that are special ‘anti-Synchro Killer’ cards since the time that our family battled against the Machine Emperors.”

Kalin tells Ayane, Ryu, Naruto, Hinata, and Davis, “Since the Machine Emperors have somehow returned, you need to prepare your decks for them.”

Davis says, with a nod, “Good idea, Kalin-san.”

Just then everyone hears someone coming and they look to see Jiraiya coming towards them in which he says, with a smile, “There you are, gaki.”

Naruto asks, with a sigh, “What is it now, Pervy Sage?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, “I need for you to come along on a special mission for me. There is this woman that I need to find…”

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “Not more ‘research’ for your pervy books, Pervy Sage.”

Jiraiya yells out, annoyed, “They are not ‘pervy books’, they are works of art! You are not just not old enough to appreciate it!”

Many in our group of heroes and heroines give him looks of annoyance and/or disbelief and Sora says, lowly, “Oh, brother.”

Jiraiya then says, “Anyway, this is no ordinary woman. This is my former teammate and the third of the legendary Sannin: Tsunade Senju, granddaughter of the First Hokage.”

Naruto tells Jiraiya, becoming more interested, “Huh? Don’t you know where she is? And why do you need me?”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a sigh, “She has kind of dropped off the radar since your parents died on THAT day. You see, Tsunade had suffered the lost of two very important people in her life and the loss of your dad and mom really got to her. You are the only one that could bring her back since she is your Godmother.”

Naruto yells out, stunned, “My what?!”

Ryu asks, curiously, “His godmother? Why hasn’t she visited him?”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh, “The civilian council especially Danzo lied to her that Naruto died and they hid the fact that he was the one that became the Kyuubi container. She doesn’t know that he is alive or he is the container of the Nine-Tailed Fox.”

Ayane asks, stunned, “She doesn’t know that he is alive?”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “And she hid herself so well that we never found a way to deliver a message to her to tell her that she was lied to. If she knew that, she would have come rushing back because of that and she was the teacher to Naruto’s mom at one point.”

Naruto asks, stunned, “She was my mom’s sensei?”

Jiraiya replies, with a grin, “How did you think that your mom got so famous gaki? Not just by her own skills alone, you know? Kushina was a daughter to her and she would have done anything for her and you, Naruto. There is also something else: She is the best chance for your fellow Leaf Ninja, Rock Lee, to get back into the ninja ranks. If there is anyone that has a chance to heal injuries as crippling as that Lee kid suffered, it is Tsunade. Her medical skills are legend.”

Naruto yells out, excitedly, “Well, why didn’t you say so, Pervy Sage? Let’s get out there and find her right away!”

Jiraiya says, holding out his hand, “Whoa, gaki! We’re not leaving just yet. The Old Man sent me to get you for something special and I think that you are going to like what he has planned for you.” Naruto gives a confused look while Jiraiya gives a big grin as he prepares to escort Naruto to the Hokage mansion personally to see what the Third Hokage wants from him.

(A short time later; Inside of the Hokage mansion)

Within the council chambers, we find Naruto, Jiraiya, and Shikamaru assembled in front of the Hokage and the ninja council while the rest of Team 7 and Team 10 are behind them.

Naruto asks Third Hokage, “What is this about Old Man?”

Third Hokage says, with a grin, “The results of the Chunin Exams. Even through they were rudely interrupted by Orochimaru’s attack on our village, we, the Hokage and ninja council, along with the elite planned chosen to review the exam, have found two people that earned the right for Chunin. And now, Shikamaru Nara, even through you have lost your match, you have shown excellent tactical and strategic mind in which you have shown the foreknowledge of when to fight and when to withdraw knowing that if you continued to fight, you would have lost even through your enemy at a disadvantage in which you knew that it would not last long enough for you to exploit allowing your enemy to beat you. In a real battle, you would have done well saving the lives of your comrades since you would have retreated knowing you could not win and you would have saved your comrades to fight another day. That’s kind of thinking is what is needed for a Chunin. Shikamaru Nara, we hereby grant you the position of Chunin.”

Shikamaru says, with a whistle, “This is a surprise.”

Naruto tells Shikamaru, with a smile, “Way to go, Shikamaru.”

Third Hokage tells Naruto, “And now, you, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, you may have not shown the tactical and strategic mind of Shikamaru, you have shown that you have that ability. You had pitted your enemy’s weakness against your strengths and you also done well in unbalancing your enemy’s focus as well. Naruto, battles are not cut and clean and they are also mental and psychological well. If this was a real battle, by putting your strength against their weaknesses, you would have given your friends and allies a tactical edge because in battle and in war, that’s what you do, you pit your strengths against their weaknesses. War and battles are also a ‘mind game’ in which you do things like you did with Neji Hyuga. You caused him to lose his focus and make his attack sloppy in which he didn’t see your final trap causing his defeat. He did have advantages against you, but you made sure that his advantages were completely useless. Even through not at the level of Shikamaru, you have shown the qualities of a Chunin as well. If the civilian council and my former teammates were still around, they would have made a fuss, but with them gone, we are free, without any ‘headaches’, to give you this: Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, we hereby and proudly promote you to Chunin.”

Naruto and plenty of the others were shocked and Naruto yells out, excitedly, “Awesome! You are the greatest, Old Man!”

Third Hokage tells Naruto, “Like Shikamaru, you have earned your promotion, Naruto. Your father, Minato Namikaze, would have been proud to see this day.” Third Hokage snaps his fingers and two ANBU appear with Chunin vests in their hands. Third Hokage tells Naruto and Shikamaru, “These are your new vests to symbolize your new rank as Chunin. We know that you will make us proud. Congratulations, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze and Shikamaru Nara on your promotions to Chunin. You have made your village proud.”

Naruto tells Third Hokage, “Don’t worry, Old Man. I won’t let you down!”

Third Hokage tells Naruto, “We know that you won’t, my boy.” Soon after, Third Hokage claps his hands in which the ninja council does the same along with the two ANBU that brought them the vests.

Kakashi thinks in his mind, with a smile, “Minato-sensei, you would be so proud of your son.”

Asuma thinks in his mind, with a sly grin, “Great job, Shikamaru. You have earned it.”

Shikamaru says, with a sigh, “It is great to be a Chunin and all, but it is going to come with a whole lot of responsibility and it is going to be a real drag.”

Naruto tells Shikamaru, with a foxy smile, “Come on, Shikamaru! Don’t be a stick in the mud! This is our hour!”

With the others, Ino thinks in her mind, “I’m glad that Shikamaru got promoted, but Sasuke-kun…”

Sakura thinks in her mind, “Naruto really deserves this after his win against Neji, but Sasuke-kun…” When Ino and Sakura look at Sasuke, he remains stoic, but he has a clenched fist.

Sasuke thinks in his mind, “I don’t get it! Naruto may be the son of two of our village’s legendary ninja, but he was nothing like them and now, after what happened, he is making leaps and bounds beyond me! Why? How can you be so powerful?! Is it the Nine-Tailed Fox’s chakra, the blood of your parents, or is it something more?! How, Dobe?! How can you be so powerful?! And advancing so far?! What in the heck have I been doing?!” Sasuke clenches his fist in frustrations which wasn’t lost on Kakashi himself.

Third Hokage tells Naruto, “And Naruto, as your first mission, you are to aid Jiraiya in his search for my last student, Tsunade Senju, the kunoichi of the legendary Sannin, the legendary medical ninja, and the granddaughter of the First Hokage among other things that you are already aware of. However, there is one thing that I shall mention right here and now that the council and Jiraiya already knows. Tsunade is here to take my place as Hokage as the Fifth Hokage.”

There are gasps, mainly from the people below, and Naruto yells out, stunned, “Fifth Hokage?!”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “My experience with Orochimaru has shown me the dangers on not naming a successor and as we know, the invasion may be a taste of things to come since Orochimaru isn’t the only enemy that we have currently. Plus, we have learned about the enemies within as well as outside of our village’s walls. I may have done much service to this village and have plenty of years left, but it is time that pasted on the torch. Your father, Minato, was supposed to be the one to take over, but after he died, I had to come back for many reasons. However, it is now time that I pass the torch down again. Naruto, you are not ready to assume the mantle. You will one day take my positions, but you are not ready and the village needs a strong leader. I feel that Jiraiya can do as well, but he has respectfully declined and I do not wish to pressure him. Tsunade has the blood and the talent to take the position of Hokage from me and she will be a strong Hokage which is what we need in the troubling times ahead. However, as you have been told by Jiraiya, Tsunade will be difficult to find even for Jiraiya and even harder to convince, but as I and many of the ninja council know, she was great friends with your mother, Kushina, in which she is your godmother. You are the only hope of bringing her home and why she never came to see you.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “Don’t I know it, Old Man? But don’t worry, I’ll bring her back! I’m not sure about making her, Hokage, but if that’s what you want, who am I to argue? We’ll be back with her in no time! Believe it!”

Jiraiya says, with a grin, “You really are your father’s and mother’s son, Naruto.”

Naruto asks, plainly, “But Old Man, you wouldn’t mind me taking the other Signers along with me?”

Everyone gets curious and Inoichi asks, plainly, “Why do you ask, Namikaze-sama?”

Naruto replies, “With that snake and others looking to get the Crimson Dragon from us, I’m worried for them. I know that Hinata-chan and the others can take care of themselves, but something tells me that I’m going to need them on this mission.”

Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “It is an unusual request, but I can’t see why we can’t grant it. However, your fellow Signers are your responsibility since they are under your clan’s protection.” Third Hokage asks Hiashi, “Hiashi-sama?”

Hiashi replies, plainly, “My daughter is ninja and if the Hokage wishes for her to go on a mission, who, if any, in my clan to argue against it?”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “Agreed, Hiashi-sama. However, I believe that Haku-san should join along.”

Jiraiya says, with a nod, “And Hayabusa-sama, his friend, Rachel-san, and the two ninja from the Mugen Tenshin clan are also joining with us since I already asked them. I thought that Naruto would take his fellow Signers along. Call it a hunch.”

Third Hokage says, with a nod, “I believe that it is a wise idea, Jiraiya.” Third Hokage tells Naruto, plainly, “Naruto, I believe that it is best that you don’t tell her the events of that happened in the invasion until you bring her back. Kushina was like a daughter to Tsunade and if she learns what happened, I’m not sure what she will do.”

Naruto says, with a nod of understanding, “Gotcha, Old Man. I really don’t like lying to her more than she has been, but if you say so.”

Third Hokage tells Naruto, “I promise that I will give her the news. I think that it is best that I do this.” Third Hokage says, with a plain tone, “If there is no more business, then everyone is dismissed.”

As they began to leave, Shikamaru tells Naruto, “Good luck with that, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a grin, “It’s going to be a piece of cake, Shikamaru!”

Shikamaru says, with a sigh, “I know that you were going to say that Naruto.”

As Naruto goes over to Team 7, Kakashi tells Naruto, “You have done well, Naruto. Minato-sensei would have been proud of you, Naruto.”

Naruto says, with a foxy grin, “Thanks, Kakashi-sensei.” However, Sasuke can only glare at Naruto and he leaves as soon as he can in which Sakura gives a worried look as she sees Sasuke leave.

(Sometime later; at the main gates)

At the main gates, we find Jiraiya with Naruto, who is wearing his well-tailored new Chunin vest, Hinata, Davis, with Veemon beside him, the Fudo twins, Haku, Ninja Ryu, Ninja Ayane, Kasumi, Momiji, Rachel, Kalin, and Leon are assembled together at the gates with Kiba, Shino, Jun, and the other Digidestined and their Digimon partners are seeing them off.

Kari tells Davis, “Be careful, Davis.”

Tai tells Kari, “We’ve had our problems before, but I know that we can work through them.”

Jun tells Davis, with a grin, “Don’t worry, squirt. I’ll keep them safe!”

Matt says, nervously, “I’m not sure if I call you safe.”

Jun asks, with a deadly glare, “What was that Ishida?”

Matt replies, nervously, “Nothing, Jun!”

TK tells Davis, nervously, “Remind me never to get your sister mad, Davis. I remember her ‘work’ in that battle and I still can’t believe that she made a person’s spine…”

Davis tells TK, nervously, “And I keep wondering why I’m still alive, TC.”

Jun tells them, with a wicked smirk, “I’m standing right here boys.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, looking at her, “The perfect mixture of a fan girl and a ninja? That’s a scary thought! And she is a really good at the shinobi arts!”

Jun tells Jiraiya, with a deadly glare with her chakra flaring, “And you, pervert, don’t you dare corrupt my bro. If you do, I do a ‘Tsunade’ on you and send you right to the moon!”

Jiraiya replies, nervously, “Yes, ma’am!” Jiraiya thinks in his mind, “And something tells me that she can with that inhuman amount of chakra. She is like a Jinchuriki without the Biju! More like a female version of the gaki… in the form of the stamina and high chakra amounts. That’s a scary thought. A mixture of Minato’s and Kushina’s gaki with Tsunade?” Jiraiya shivers at the thought of Jun Motomiya being a combination of his young student and the female Sannin, who has sent him sky-rocketing through the air when he peeped on her at that one time in the hot springs in which the multiple broken bones and lacerations left a great ‘impression’ on him.

Kiba tells Naruto, “You had better keep Hinata safe, Naruto.”

Naruto tells Kiba, with a foxy grin, “Or what, Kiba? I think that it was I that beat you and went onto the finals that got me this vest!”

Kiba says, with a snort, “You managed to get me then, but I’m going to be training like mad and I’ll be a Chunin before you know it!”

Naruto says, with a smile, “You’re not the only one! I’m going for Jonin next and next stop, the Sixth Hokage of the Leaf Village!”

Shino tells Naruto, “You have quite a ways to go, Naruto. But you are well on your way. Good luck to you and the others.”

Hinata tells Shino, “Thank you, Shino.”

Jiraiya yells out, excitedly, “Okay, let’s go!”

Naruto says, with a sigh, “Give it a rest and let’s go, Pervy Sage.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, annoyed, “Just like your mom and dad, gaki.” Soon enough, the group heads off on their mission to find Tsunade not knowing of the battle forming elsewhere in the rebuilding Leaf Village.

(Later on; in another part of the Leaf Village)

In a river area on the Leaf Village, we find Itachi and Kisame, who have revealed their faces in which Itachi looks much like Sasuke through with short and more well-combed hair, facing off against Kurenai, Asuma, and Kakashi, but Itachi hit Kakashi with his Mangekyo Sharingan, an evolved version of the Sharingan, and a jutsu known as Tsukuyomi, which the user puts the victim of the jutsu into Genjutsu world that he/she controls in which it seems three days pasted in that ‘Genjutsu world’ while only a few seconds past in the real world.

Kakashi collapses to his hands and knees and Kurenai, who with Asuma have their eyes closed to keep them from falling into the Genjutsu, asks, stunned, hearing the splash of water, “Kakashi, what is it? Can we open our eyes now?”

Kakashi replies, weakly, “No, Kurenai…”

Asuma yells out, perplexed, “What just happened? One second, the guy was talking and the next, you hit the ground.”

Kakashi thinks in his mind, “Three days in that world and only a moment pasted in this one. Why not kill me? He could if he wanted to.”

Kisame comes by Itachi and he says, slyly, “After all that, the fool’s spirit is intact.” Kisame tells Itachi, plainly, “You’ve risked overusing those eyes of yours. You know that’s dangerous, Itachi.”

Kakashi asks, curiously, “This ‘thing’ that you have come for? Is it Sasuke?”

Itachi replies, “No, Kakashi. It is the legacy of the Fourth Hokage.”

Kurenai asks, confused, “What’s he talking about? What’s he after?”

Itachi tells them, “His legacy is the child that he bore with the Red Storm, who he sealed something within him.”

Asuma yells out, “You mean…?!”

Kakashi thinks in his mind, “Naruto…”

Itachi says, with a plain tone, “There is something else that we have come for that we know that the Leaf Village has. Five warriors in which each having a piece of a creature said to be even mightier than the Nine-Tailed Fox… a legendary divine red dragon…”

Kurenai yells out, stunned, “The Signers?!”

Kisame says, with a sly grin, “So, you do know of them? I’m not surprised since it was seen in your village and don’t deny that you don’t have them.”

Kakashi tells Kisame, “You want the Nine-Tailed Fox spirit and the Crimson Dragon, don’t you? But you aren’t the only ones, I know. There are seven more S-class criminals like you together and searching for all of the Biju and you call yourself the Akatsuki, right?”

Itachi’s eyes widen at that and Asuma asks, stunned, “Akatsuki?”

Itachi tells Kisame, “Kisame, we’ll take Kakashi with us, but get rid of the others.” Kisame then charges in to take out Asuma and Kurenai in which Kakashi can’t do anything in his weakened condition.

“Severe Leaf Hurricane!”

Just then Might Gai appears on the scene and slams his right leg into a powerful back kick sending Kisame back, but he recovers soon enough.

Kisame asks, slyly, “And who might you be?”

Gai replies, with a sly grin, “I’m the Leaf Village’s great beast of battle: I’m Might Gai!”

Kisame replies, “Might Gai, huh? Mighty stupid looking guy!”

Itachi tells Kisame, plainly, “Don’t underestimate him, Kisame.”

Gai thinks in his mind, “It’s him… Itachi Uchiha.” When Kakashi finally collapses from the strain on his mind and spirit from Itachi’s powerful Genjutsu, Gai goes over and puts him on his shoulder. Gai says, lowly, “What they must have put him through.”

Asuma tells Gai, warningly, “Don’t look at his eyes, Gai! You’ll get trapped in his Genjutsu!”

Gai replies, seriously, “I know what I’m doing! After training to fight Kakashi, I know all about Sharingan! You can open your eyes!”

Kurenai tells Gai, “But if we open our eyes…”

Gai tells them, seriously, “It’s okay, just don’t look at his eyes. Focus on his feet. You can tell what your enemy is going to do by looking his foot movements.”

Kurenai and Asuma open their eyes and Kurenai says, “Okay, but it sounds easier than done.”

Asuma tells Gai, “We haven’t had your training, Gai.”

Gai replies, “True, it takes a lot of skill to know what your enemy is doing from just his feet, but I don’t have time to train you, so, you are just going to have to do your best.” Gai gives the unconscious Kakashi to Kurenai and he says, “Get Kakashi to the medical corps, Kurenai! Asuma, you are my backup!”
Asuma says, with a nod, “Right.”

Gai says, “I’ve called for ANBU blackops for reinforcements, but until they get here, we are going to have to hold them back.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “This is getting interesting.”

Itachi tells Kisame, “We’re pulling out, Kisame.” Kisame gives a look of surprise and Itachi tells him, “We are not here to fight a full scale battle as tempting it may be. There are better ways to do things. Let’s go, Kisame.”
Kisame says, “That’s too bad, just when things are getting fun. They don’t know how lucky they are.” Soon enough, Itachi and Kisame take off and with the current situation, the others couldn’t follow them.

(Elsewhere; on the meanwhile)

Within a deep and dark room, like the inside of some kind of haunted house, we find a figure in a red and black Dark Signer cloak with Kushina as they look at images of Kisame and Itachi leaving Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai behind.

The Dark Signer says, with a dark plain tone, “It seems like another set of player has entered the game.”

Kushina says, with a dark plain tone, “Itachi, he was a good person unlike the rest of his clan. I can’t believe that he would murder nearly everyone in his clan like that.”

The Dark Signer, displaying the Spider mark on his right arm, tells Kushina, with a dark plain tone, “There is more to Itachi’s ‘betrayal’ than meets the eye and I suspect that there are those in the Leaf Village that know it.”

Kushina says, with a dark serious tone, “If they are after my son, then he is my enemy. And my enemy deserves no mercy.”

The Dark Signer tells Kushina, with a nod, “Good attitude, Kushina. The Signers are ours and ours alone. Those who interfere with our destined battle must be destroyed.”

Kushina tells the Dark Signer, with a dark plain tone, “I have no problem with that, but remember, my son belongs to me. I shall be him back to my side where he belongs.”

The Dark Signer tells Kushina, “As long as you make his ‘Mark of the Dragon’ go dark and defeat him, you can do whatever you wish with him.” The Dark Signer tells Kushina, with a dark plain tone, “Anyway, I have located the one that wanted to turn your child into a weapon.”

A dark glow comes from Kushina’s darkened eyes and she asks, seriously, “Danzo? Where is that asshole? I shall send him into the Netherworld where he belongs!”

The Dark Signer tells Kushina, with a dark sly tone, “Easy, my dear. I have his location right here.” Just then a spider appears on his right arm and the spider starts to project an image of an arena that Kasumi was once in.

Kushina says, with a dark snarl, “How dare he? He defiles my destroyed homeland! I was going to make his trip into the Netherworld painless, but I shall take pleasure in making it ever so painful for him just like the pleasure that I took Orochimaru’s arms from him for good.” Kushina then teleports away in a swirl of dark energy in which the Dark Signer chuckles to himself as she leaves in which his lips turn into cruel smirk which would send shivers down the spine of anyone if they saw it.

(Back with Orochimaru; around the same time)

Returning to Orochimaru, we find him by helped in a chair by Kabuto with bandages on his arms and Orochimaru groans out in pain from the pain coming from his arms due to the Netherworld enhanced jutsu by Kushina.

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, “This was completely unexpected, Orochimaru-sama. I thought and knew that you wouldn’t go up leave that battle unscathed. You were playing two of the great shadows of the Elemental Countries, but this was completely unexpected. Forgive me if I seemly patronizing you, Orochimaru-sama.”

Orochimaru replies, with a plain tone, “Forgiven, Kabuto.”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, “I have tried everything, Orochimaru-sama, but this… it is something that I have never seen before.”

Orochimaru says, with a plain tone, “I am not surprised. This jutsu has been enhanced by the energy of the Netherworld. I hope that you have taken a sample of their energy.”

Kabuto says, shaking his head, “I’ve tried, sir, but the energy seems to be quite dangerous to those of the living world.” Kabuto says, with a plain tone, “However, I’ve done research to see if there are similar jutsu and I’ve found that the markings are similar to jutsu used by the nearly extinct Uzumaki clan.”

Orochimaru’s eyes widen and he thinks, stunned, “Could it be…?” Orochimaru says, his lips curling into a sinister smirk, “Does that beat all? The brat’s own mother turned against him. No, not against him, she is most likely against the Leaf Village. How ironic. The boy that they have abused in which they have spat on the grave of their two greatest ninja have truly come back to haunt them. One of those ninja has returned from the grave seeking revenge for her son. How Sarutobi-sensei must be racked with guilt and most likely, the ninja council are in an uproar since he had to tell them.”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, “If she fights her own son, she will most likely be seeking to turn him into a Dark Signer.”

Orochimaru says, with a grin, “We can’t have that can we? But this gives a great chance, Kabuto. We have the counterparts to the Crimson Dragon and its dragon warriors at our fingertips.”

Kabuto asks, curiously, “Do you mean that you wish to…?”

Orochimaru tells Kabuto, “I do, Kabuto. With the greatest powers of both light and darkness on my side, I would have ultimate power! Imagine it, Kabuto. The power to destroy and remake the world however you choose!”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, “From what we know, the former Signers especially one Yusei Fudo destroyed the Netherworld ruler once and for all while the rest of the Earthbound Immortals were resealed in the earth itself.”

Orochimaru says, with a sinister smile, “While true, Kabuto. The Earthbound Immortals are among the greatest powers of darkness and they still rival the Crimson Dragon and its dragon warriors.”

Kabuto tells Orochimaru, curiously, “How do you plan to gather the powers of the Dark Signers? The only one to defeat one is with a Signer.”

Orochimaru says, with a grin, “Which is why we need the Namikaze brat and the other four, Kabuto. They shall be the perfect bait.” Orochimaru says, with a groan, “However, I need to have my arms healed and the best chance that I have is my other teammate, Kabuto.”

Kabuto asks, curiously, “You mean…?!”

Orochimaru tells Kabuto, “We start our search for Tsunade immediately. And then we can concentrate on other matters including the one success that I have.”

Kabuto says, with a sly smile, “You mean Sasuke. Your collar is around his neck.”

Orochimaru says, with a sinister grin, “And with time, he shall come to me.” Orochimaru says, with a snort, “However, if I could only get Itachi, I would have never had to gone through this, but that dream has died. Itachi is stronger than I am. That’s why I left that organization.”

Kabuto asks, slyly, “However, I wonder: Who is stronger? Naruto or Itachi?”

Orochimaru says, with a grin, “The boy has shown incredible improvement, but he is no match for Itachi or the Akatsuki… for the moment. But then again, who knows? This is why we need to capture him. I will not let the Rinnegan get away from me again and a boy like him, coming from the legendary ‘longevity clan’ is too valuable to let them get their hands on him just for the beast that his father, the Fourth Hokage, sealed within him. He may be the key to true immortality. Even I was fooled and never knew of Kushina’s pregnancy by the Fourth Hokage in which I thought that the boy had his mother’s last name to honor the memory of Kushina through I had a feeling that he was Fourth Hokage’s child due the similar features to him. I didn’t believe that Kushina had secretly married him and had a child due to their reputations and what it meant for any child that they have. I knew that they were ‘close’ and the boy’s last name was because of that. Well, I am fooled no more and the old man shall not stop me from gaining all that he has to offer. In fact, with Sasuke AND Naruto, I could create a new ultimate body due to our latest ‘acquirements’ from the outside world.”

Kabuto says, with a sinister smile, “I agree, Orochimaru-sama. I must say that the outside world has develop some rather interesting technology and medicine including genetic manipulations and cloning to a level that I thought it would take years to perfect. However, adapting it will take awhile, but soon, we will have the ability to create new bodies for you and you will never need the bother of others expect for genetic material.”

Orochimaru says, with a smile, “But that’s in the future, Kabuto. For now, we set off to find Tsunade.”

Kabuto says, with a nod, “Of course, Orochimaru-sama.” As Kabuto prepares to aid Orochimaru in their newest mission, Kabuto thinks, slyly, “Stay alive, Naruto. You have become very valuable to us now and more than the power of the Crimson Dragon that you weld now. Orochimaru-sama isn’t the only one interested in your ‘gifts’.”

(Rejoining our Signers group; One day later)

Back with our Signers group, we find Naruto along with about a dozen Shadow Clones in a good sized room with Ayane, Ryu, Davis, Hinata, and Veemon doing various things in which Naruto is training a bit in his room while the rest, minus Veemon, are talking and modifying their decks. Our group has been training in which Jiraiya also plans for more training in which Naruto hoped that he will be training to use his dad’s other legendary jutsu, the Hiraishin or Flying Thunder God Jutsu, but Jiraiya told him that they were going to perfect his Rasengan to allow him to form it with just one hand. Plus, while Naruto has managed to gain a Fire Style and Water Style version Rasengan AKA Water Style: Tsunami Rasengan, which he used to give Neji the final blow in his match with him, he is having trouble with a Wind style Rasengan in which he is preparing to create a more powerful version. Jiraiya also plans to create stronger and more advanced version of the ‘basic’ or non-elemental Rasengan as well in which he has a few variants of his own. Since Jiraiya studied on how Naruto managed to infuse elemental chakra into the Rasengan, he plans to find a way to create his own Fire version, but based on how Naruto found the solution, Jiraiya can’t be sure that Naruto isn’t the only one that can do this. Jiraiya also plans for him to work on how to create a Rasengan while he has his chakra shroud from the Nine-Tailed Fox active. However, Jiraiya promises Naruto that he will help him train to use his dad’s legendary jutsu in the future, but not now because Jiraiya figures while it will take awhile to find Tsunade, it will be still too short to start giving him training in the Hiraishin.

However, at this moment, they are stopping at a hotel for the day in which he has gone off with a young lovely woman that’s flirting to him much to Naruto’s and the other’s distain and this is what they are doing right now in which they are waiting for Jiraiya to return.

Just then Naruto’s senses perk up in which a knock is heard from the door in which Ayane says, with a snort, “It is about time that pervert got back.”

Davis says, with a snarl, “What is his deal anyway? He is supposed to be a great ninja and he creates smut!”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “That’s not the Pervy Sage!” When everyone looks at Naruto, he says, “There are two of them at the door and one of them has some real nasty vibes.”

Hinata then activates her Byakugan and she says, with a gasp, “Naruto-kun’s right. There are two of them at the door and they are really strong.”

Naruto then goes over to the door in sneaky fashion with his Shadow Clones and when they are just in front of the door, he yells out, “Hit it!” He and his Shadow Clones then attack the door in which it bursts off its hinges, but Kisame and Itachi, who were at the door, are now at the side.

Kisame says, with a sly tone, “You were right about the brat knowing that we weren’t his Sannin teacher, Itachi.”

Itachi says, with a plain tone, “I felt Naruto’s spike in chakra just before he attacked the door, Kisame. That’s when I knew that he was going to attack and just in time.”

Naruto thinks in his mind, stunned, “This guy… he has the same Sharingan as Sasuke’s Sharingan, but how? I thought that Sasuke was the only Uchiha left!”

Just then Hinata calls out, “Naruto-kun, what…?” The other Signers come outside and they gasp to see the two in front of them.

Itachi says, with a plain tone, “So that’s how, Naruto.”

Kisame asks Itachi, “Huh?”

Itachi says, pointing at Hinata, “The girl is Hinata Hyuga, daughter of Hiashi Hyuga and heiress to the Hyuga clan, the welders of the Byakugan.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “So that’s how the brat knew that we were here. His little girlfriend took a peek with those eyes of hers.”

Naruto asks, seriously, “How do you know our names?”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Spunky little brat, isn’t he? I’m surprised to think that someone like him knows about the Nine-Tailed Fox.”

There are gasps of shock and silence for a moment and then Naruto asks, seriously, “You want the Nine-Tailed Fox? How do you know about it? Are you working for Madara Uchiha?!”

Both Itachi’s and Kisame’s eyes widen in surprise and Itachi asks, his tone showing a bit more emotion, “How do you know that name?”
Naruto says, with a serious tone, “I know the truth of what happened! I know that Madara Uchiha took control of the Nine-Tailed Fox and used it to attack the village forcing my dad to seal it up inside of me to keep it from him as well as stopping him in whatever mad plans he has! Now, where is he? If you know about the fox and know that it is sealed in me, then you must work for him!”

Kisame says, with a sly smile, “So that’s what happened on that day, huh? Interesting, Itachi. Something tells me that you knew this fact.”

Itachi tells Kisame, “Kisame, Naruto has become more important than ever before. We need to know how much he knows.”

Kisame tells Itachi, “By the way, Itachi, how do you know about Madara or should I say, Mizukage Emeritus?”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “Mizukage?”

Itachi tells Kisame, “We shall have a talk once we complete our mission, but we’re going to need Naruto for a lot more than the Kyuubi.”

Kisame says, with a sly grin, “Good and bad news for the brat. Having such inform makes you more valuable, but good news is… you live for a little longer.” Kisame tells Naruto, swinging his blade around, “If you cooperate, you might get to keep your arms and legs through we only need you alive and your mouth intact.”

Naruto says, putting his hand to the hidden storage seal containing the Dragon Sword, “Just try it, shark face!” Naruto then brings the Dragon Sword into his hands.

Kisame gives a look of surprise and he says, stunned, “What the?! I know that blade! A kid like you with the Dragon Sword? Unbelievable!”

Naruto asks, stunned, “How do you know about it?”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Every swordsman of the Mist knows about that legendary blade and legends says that it allows the user to use any elemental jutsu, main elemental or sub-element, in which it is similar to my Shark Skin.”

Naruto asks, shocked, “You mean your blade can absorb chakra too?”

Kisame says, licking his lips, “Kid, you just made a bigger mistake. Any of us, Seven Swordsman of Mist, would give a lot to get their hands on that blade and you just got me excited by waving that blade in front of my face.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “Not like you’re going to get it, pal!” Naruto thinks in his mind, “Ah, man! These guys! I can tell! They are hard-core and the real deal! Something tells me that I’m going to really work hard to protect Hinata-chan and the others from this creep!” Ayane secretly prepares her duel disk so she can use her Psychic Duelist abilities in which Itachi gives a curious glance, but his attention is diverted by another person that just entered the room.

Itachi then says, “It has been a long time… Sasuke.” Everyone then glances to see Sasuke, Sharingan fully activated, behind Itachi and Kisame.

Sasuke says, with a snarl, “Itachi Uchiha…”

Naruto thinks in his mind, surprised, “Itachi Uchiha?”

Kisame says, with a grin, “The Sharingan, huh? And he looks a lot like you, Itachi. Who is he?”

Itachi replies, plainly, “He is my younger brother.”

Our Signers are surprised and Hinata thinks in her mind, stunned, “Brother?”

Kisame says, with a sly grin, “Really, Itachi? The way that I heard it, the whole Uchiha clan was wiped out by you.”

Naruto thinks in his mind, stunned, “Wait! He was the one that nearly destroyed Sasuke’s clan! Could he be… the one that Sasuke wants to kill?! Geez, no wonder Teme is the way that he is! His own brother destroyed his own family… his entire clan other than him!”

Sasuke says, with a sneer, “Itachi Uchiha, I hope that you are ready to die!” The two of them, Itachi and Sasuke, glare at each other with their Sharingan blazing and Sasuke says, as he is preparing for a Chordi, “It is just like you said, Itachi! For years, I’ve festered my hatred for you! I’ve lived my life for one single purpose: To see you die!”

Itachi says, emotionlessly, “Chordi…”

Sasuke yells out, strongly with rage in his voice, “Enough, Itachi! You’re dead!” Sasuke then charges in for the kill aiming straight the center of Itachi’s chest, but Itachi manages to easily swat Sasuke’s hand away causing it to destroy it and a large portion of the room that our Signers were just in.

Davis thinks in his mind, shocked, “Geez! That was sure close! It was a good thing that we didn’t unpack and we still have our stuff in special sealing scrolls and such especially our decks and duel disks!”

Naruto thinks in his mind, stunned, “I can’t believe it! He brushed off Sasuke’s attack like it was nothing!” When Sasuke yelps as Itachi crushes his arm that he just used his Chordi with, Naruto thinks in his mind, closing his eyes, “We’ve got trouble!” When Itachi and Kisame looks at him, Sasuke tries to attack in which Itachi injures his arm further causing him to yelp out in pain.

Kisame thinks in his mind, slyly, “Guess he is going to use the Dragon Sword and the Nine-Tails’ chakra!” However, both of them got a surprise when Naruto opens his eyes to reveal his Rinnegan eyes causing both of them to gasp in shock.

Itachi thinks in his mind, in a surprised tone, “Rinnegan?!” Naruto thrusts his arm with the Dragon Sword forward and Itachi yells out, seriously, “Kisame, watch out!” Kisame turned his head to Itachi, surprised at his tone of voice, but it proved to be a big mistake.

“Shinra Tensei!”

Kisame then yelps out as he is slammed with a powerful gravity force that sends him flying through the hallways, out through the wall behind him, and crashing through a nearby building.

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “You’re next pal!”

Itachi says, with a plain tone, “I don’t think so, Naruto. You leave me no other choice.” Itachi’s Sharingan eyes then turn into ones where the tomes have become black pinwheels in the center of his red eyes.

“Tsukuyomi!”

Naruto then finds himself tied to a post in some kind of black-white/grey realm with a red moon in which Itachi appears.

Naruto asks, stunned, “What’s going on?”

Itachi tells Naruto, “You are now in the realm of Tsukuyomi, a powerful Genjutsu that’s unique to the Uchiha clan, and in here, I control everything. I didn’t want to use this jutsu on you, due to the damage on your mind and spirit, but you have left me no other choice. For the next three days, you shall suffer your childhood all over again.” Soon after, the villagers appear in their classic fashion with knifes and stuff to hurt Naruto, but then his Mark of the Dragon appears on his right arm and blazes with a bright crimson light causing the illusion of the ‘hateful villagers’ to vanish causing Itachi to be surprised, which is a rarity for a ninja of his caliber. Soon after, Naruto is released from the post and the four other Signers, with their ‘Mark of the Dragon’ glow as well, appear and hold Naruto’s right arm and hand to show their support in which the Crimson Dragon appears in this realm giving a mighty roar. Itachi didn’t have much time as the Crimson Dragon unleashes a powerful blast of crimson red light forcing Itachi to cover his eyes. Soon after, his illusion world is dispelled and Itachi is holding his left eye in pain while the five Signers have their Mark of the Dragon glowing brightly.

Ayane asks, perplexed, “What’s going on?”

Naruto says, amazed, “Itachi had me in this freaky Genjutsu world that I couldn’t free myself of, but then the Crimson Dragon freed me!”

Itachi thinks in his mind, “So, Naruto is one of the warriors of the Crimson Dragon? Interesting…” Soon enough, Kisame leaps back into hallway through the roof with a loud ‘crash’ in which he lands by Itachi.

Kisame asks Itachi, surprised to see Itachi holding his left eye, “What happened to you?”

Itachi tells Kisame, plainly, “I tried to use Tsukuyomi on Naruto, but it failed. The Crimson Dragon stopped me in which Naruto is one of the five Signers that we were looking for.”

Kisame says, giving a surprised expression, “You’re kidding!”

When Kisame looks and sees the five Signers with their glowing Mark of the Dragon before they fade away, Itachi tells them, “Those are the five marks of the Crimson Dragon, the head, two claws, wings, and tail, as in the ancient legend.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Isn’t this our lucky day, Itachi? Not only we have found the container of the Kyuubi, we have all five Signers right here in front of us.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “So, you are the ones that the Pervy Sage warned us about? That organization that’s hunting the Tailed Beasts? The Akatsuki? I’m not surprised that you want to get your greedy hands on the Crimson Dragon!”

Itachi says, plainly, “So that’s how Kakashi knew. He was told by Jiraiya himself.”

Naruto asks, perplexed, “Kakashi-sensei? What are you talking about?” Naruto says, seriously, “Okay, fine! But when I bash you into the ground, you are going to tell me all that you know about Madara! Is he the leader of the Akatsuki? If you’re lucky, I won’t hurt you… much!”

Kisame laughs and he says, with a grin, “The kid has got some spunk! I can see that he is the son of the legendary Red Storm from your home, Itachi!”

Itachi tells Kisame, with a plain tone, “And that what makes him very dangerous. And with the Dragon Sword and the Rinnegan, he is a far stronger foe that we original thought.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Itachi, he may have the same legendary dojutsu as Leader-sama, but he isn’t at his level!”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “Wait! Did he just say that their leader has the Rinnegan too?! So, Madara Uchiha isn’t their leader?!”

Kisame says, cracking his jaw, “I’ve got to admit that you are better than I expected and I didn’t think that you had the Rinnegan of all dojutsu, but you managed to only catch me by surprise and it is time to end this. Be glad that we need your friends and little Hyuga girlfriend over there since they have sometime else that we want.” As Kisame prepares to launch a second attack, there came a loud poof of smoke and Jiraiya appears out of it with an unconscious young lady on his shoulders as well as in one of his classic Kabuki style poses and grin on his lips.

Jiraiya tells them, with a sly grin, “You really don’t know me as much as you think, boys!”

Naruto yells out, annoyed, “Where in the heck were you Pervy Sage? One wink from a pretty face and you are just like mush!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, annoyed, “Gaki, I told you not to call me that in front of other people especially the enemy!”

Kisame says, with a grin, “Whatever name you go by, Jiraiya-sama, you are quite a disappointment. It is hard to believe that someone like you is one of the legendary Sannin.”

Jiraiya tells Kisame, with a grin, “Don’t let appearances fool you, pal.” Jiraiya puts the woman down and he says, “What kind of man would put an innocent woman under a Genjutsu like that? Using his Sharingan to put her under a Genjutsu to separate Naruto and I.”

Naruto thinks in his mind, “Separate us?”

Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “I know that Naruto is the one that you are after.”

Sasuke gives a look of surprise and Itachi says, plainly, “So, we were right. Kakashi knew because you are the one that told him, Jiraiya-sama. You are right. Naruto is one of the prizes that the Akatsuki seek, but recently, we have found a ‘prize’ just as valuable. And Naruto holds that power along with the Nine-Tails Spirit.”

Naruto tells Jiraiya, “This Itachi jerk put me under some kind of freaky Genjutsu that the Crimson Dragon saved me from, Pervy Sage.”

Jiraiya’s serious look become more serious and he says, “Why am I not surprised? You desire the five Signers and the Crimson Dragon as well.”

Itachi replies, “Indeed. The power of the Crimson Dragon is legendary and from experience, I know that it is true. Now, we know the identities of the five Signers and it is good fortune that Naruto is among their number. We shall have him and his fellow Signers.”

Jiraiya replies, seriously, “Do you really think that I’m going to let you take the child of the Fourth Hokage, one of my favorite students, and my godson, Itachi? In fact, how will your fellow Akatsuki know when I kill you both now?”

Sasuke calls out, “Stay out of this!” Sasuke stands on his feet, through weakly, and he yells out, “The only one that’s going to kill him is me!”

Itachi says, plainly, “Go away. You don’t interest me at the moment.”

Sasuke calls out, angrily, “Get interested, Itachi!” Sasuke charges Itachi, but Itachi easily kicks him to the back wall.

Naruto says, stunned, “Sasuke, no!” Naruto spins his Dragon Sword around and he yells out, angrily, “You want me, you asshole! Come and get me!”

Sasuke yells out, “Naruto, no! Stay out of this! And mind your own business!” Sasuke reactivates his Sharingan and he yells out, “I’ve lived for this day! This moment! This battle is mine!” As the images of the Uchiha Massacre, the day that Itachi killed all, but himself and Sasuke, Sasuke charges in, but Itachi easily defeats his attack and knocks him back to the back wall once again. Sasuke says, weakly, “Not finished…”

Itachi says, plainly, “So be it…” Itachi then starts to walk over in which Jiraiya prepares to stop him, but Kisame stops him.

Kisame says, slyly, “You heard him. This is none of our business, so, let’s them sort it out.”

Naruto asks, seriously, “Do you think that I’ll let you stop me, jerk?!”

Kisame says, with a grin, “You might have gotten a few good shots in kid, but you are nowhere close to Leader-sama’s ability with the Rinnegan.”

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, shocked, “What? Their leader has the Rinnegan too?! Wait! Could it be?!” Ayane then taps Naruto’s shoulder in which she displays her activated Duel Disk and a card in her hands in which Naruto smirks at the meaning. However, their attention is turned to Itachi and Sasuke in which Itachi pounds Sasuke down with ease in which he can’t believe that he is nowhere near Itachi’s strength.

Sasuke thinks in his mind, stunned, “After all these years, nothing has changed! How can this be?! What have I been doing all these years? Was it all for nothing?!” Itachi then grabs Sasuke by the neck and throws him into the nearby wall.

Itachi tells him, plainly, “You are still too weak. You don’t have enough hate. And you know something, you’ll never will.” Itachi then uses his Mangekyo Sharingan and Tsukuyomi on Sasuke and after a horrible mind torture, Sasuke screams out in horror and pain.

Kisame says, slyly, “Isn’t that heartwarming? Using Tsukuyomi on his own brother.”

Naruto says, forming a familiar hand sign, “That does it! I’m through standing around!” Naruto then creates his own Shadow Clone as Kisame turns around and prepares to stop any charge, but he notice Naruto using his Shadow Clone to form the Rasengan even through he doesn’t know what it is.

Kisame thinks in his mind, perplexed, “What the?! What kind of jutsu is that?”

Itachi turns his head to notice and his eyes widen in which he thinks, “That jutsu! He has already mastered it?!” Itachi yells out, seriously, “Kisame, don’t let him finish that jutsu! He attacks you with it even you will suffer great damage!”

Ayane says, putting the card into her duel disk, “I don’t think so! Chain Energy!” Just then Kisame is entrapped in bonds of made of energy causing both Itachi and Kisame to be surprised by this.

Kisame asks, perplexed, “What is this?!”

Ayane calls out, “Do it, Naruto!” Naruto charges in to attack Kisame with his jutsu.

“Rasengan!”

Naruto slams his sphere of chakra into Kisame’s chest and he cries out in extreme pain as the attack slams into him causing him to be sent flying once more through the hole that his body made earlier by Naruto’s use his Shinra Tensei in which the force of the attack shatters the energy bindings on him.

Jiraiya yells out, excitedly, “Nice job, gaki! I’ll take it from here!”

However, Itachi drops Sasuke and he says, “It seems like we underestimated you, Naruto. Another day then.” Immediately, Itachi leaps out of the hole that Naruto sent Kisame through in which Jiraiya and our Signers rush forward to the hole and Sasuke in which while Naruto goes over to his fallen teammate, Jiraiya looks to see Itachi retreating with a somewhat injured through not too seriously, Kisame, as Haku and the others also appear from the nearby stairs.

Haku asks, surprised, “What has happened here?”

Ryu replies, plainly, “Trouble, Haku.”

Veemon says, with a nod, “Big trouble with a capital ‘T’, Haku-san.” Joining up with Itachi and Kisame, we find them already a good distance away from the town that our Signers group was staying at.

Kisame says, with a snort, “That brat has a stronger punch than I thought! He is starting to get on my last nerve!”

Itachi tells Kisame, “By glad that you are alive, Kisame, due to your stamina and endurance. You were hit with the Rasengan, an A-rank ninjutsu developed by Naruto’s father, the Fourth Hokage himself. Very few get hit with that jutsu and remains as intact as you do.”

Kisame says, with a grin, “The kid knows one of his dad’s jutsu?! This is getting more interesting.”

Itachi says, with a plain tone, “Normally, I would say that there is no rush, but Naruto is far stronger than we originally thought.”

Kisame says, with a nod, “Who thought there would be someone else with Leader-sama’s Rinnegan? Through the kid is nowhere close to harnessing it like he does.”

Itachi replies, plainly, “True, but if Naruto already has his father’s Rasengan and as you may have noticed, he was wearing a Chunin vest, he will develop into a incredible power in the near future. Now, we can’t get him now with them on high-alert and we need more time to continue our plans for all of the Tailed Beasts, but if we let Naruto go…”

Kisame says, with a snort, “I get it. He’ll grow into an even bigger pain than he was now.”

Itachi tells Kisame, with a nod, “Correct, Kisame. We may know his tricks, but most likely, he has his mother’s talent for ninjutsu and he is able to have such ability at this age, if we let him grow for a few more years, he will become a power to rival the Akatsuki especially if he gains the ability to control the Nine-Tailed Fox’s power completely.” Itachi says, “For now, we need to regroup and find a place to recharge my powers, Kisame.”

Kisame replies, with a nod, “Right.”

Itachi thinks in his mind, “Using two Tsukuyomi in quick succession is more exhausting than I thought. Naruto has grown into a strong power and he knows about Madara. Most likely, he seeks Madara in order to stop his plans, not for any revenge, just like his father would have done. If given a few years, Naruto may be the one to finally defeat Madara once and for all and this battle may have given him the incentive to become even stronger much faster than before. Good.”

Deep within the Land of Whirlpools, the homeland of the Uzumaki clan before it was wiped out other than Kushina and Naruto, we find Danzo inside of some kind of base similar to the ones in the Leaf Village.

A ROOT member appears before him and he says, “Danzo-sama, I have something to report.”

Danzo replies, plainly, “Speak fool.”

The ROOT member tells him, “Itachi Uchiha returned to the Leaf Village and he had Kisame Hoshigaki.”

Danzo replies, with a stoic tone, “I see. Good work. You are dismissed.” The ROOT members bows as he leaves in which Danzo thinks, “Either Itachi does not know that I’ve been ousted from my position or most likely, he does know and he is warning to stay away from his brother. He wishes to keep up the façade even through what he knows about me is already public in which those simple-minded fools call treason which is what was needed to create a strong village. The Signers might have driven me from the village, but my hand still extends into it. But that Sarutobi, he has denied me the greatest village’s and my weapon, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze, Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox, and now, he has become too strong to control. And if someone like him, who is just like his father and that Whirlpool whore of a mother, comes to the position of Hokage… No, Namikaze! I will never allow you to become Hokage! You, like the other Signers, will be mine or you will die!” Just then cries of pain and sounds of battle are heard in which Danzo gets into a defensive stance.

Just then a dark female voice calls out, “So, I’ve found you, you little rat! You might have been able to hide your true colors from even my husband, but now, you are exposed as the little rat that you are, Danzo!”

Danzo think in his mind, stunned, “That voice! It cannot be! She’s dead!” Soon enough, Kushina, dragging a blood corpse of a ROOT member, enters into Danzo’s sight. Danzo says, with a sneer, “You! How can you still be alive?! You died…!”

Kushina replies, throwing the body aside, “That’s right, asshole! I did died and I’m still dead!” Kushina then displays her Hummingbird Mark and Danzo’s eyes widen.

Danzo says, stunned, “That’s…!!”

Kushina replies, with a dark sinister grin, “That’s right, fool. I’m a Dark Signer. I’ve been revived from the death for one purpose and one purpose alone: To take my revenge on all those who have wronged my son.”

Danzo says, with a stoic tone, “We did what was necessary to ensure that we have the strongest tool to make the Leaf Village the greatest…”

Kushina unleashes a powerful dark chakra and she yells out, “Be silent, you old dog! My boy is no one’s tool! He is a living being! Just like all Jinchuriki are! Or am I just a tool? That’s right, fool! I held the fox before my son until Madara stripped it from me!”

Danzo’s eyes widen a bit, but he regains his stoic look and he says, plainly, “So, it is true. And also, I thought that there was something about you that I didn’t like.”

Kushina tells Danzo, with a dark sinister grin, “And you are going to like me less, but I don’t give a darn about your feelings since you are going to the Netherworld for good along with the whole of the Leaf Village!”

Danzo says, plainly, “I can’t allow that you Whirlpool whore.”

Kushina says, with a dark wicked smirk, “Why should you care? You are now a traitor to the Leaf Village.”

Danzo says, with a plain tone, “Only by those narrow minded fools. In time, they shall see what I did was for the good of the village and I shall be a hero.”

Kushina says, with a dark deadly glare, “No, fool. You shall be dead.”

Danzo says, with a stoic tone, “And you shall be returned to your grave where you belong, wench.” Soon after, multiple ROOT member surround Kushina and Danzo says, with a stoic tone, “Destroy her.” However, Kushina just gives a dark smile as they prepare to attack her and as quick as a flash, Kushina easily kills all of the ROOT members in which they fall to the ground like dominos.

Danzo gives a rare shocked look and Kushina tells Danzo, with a dark smile, “Fool, I’m stronger that you can imagine. The power of the Netherworld has argument my chakra like never before and no ‘mere mortal’ can stand up to a Dark Signer like me.”

Danzo says, as he prepares to use his ‘special right arm’, “We shall see fool.”

Kushina tells Danzo, with a dark smile, “You don’t think that I don’t know about your right arm full of stolen Sharingans and the First Hokage’s cells, baka.” Danzo doesn’t show it, but mentally, he is shocked beyond belief. Kushina then says, with a dark smile, “And your little friend can come out now.” Just then another ROOT member, a female one, with a duel disk that has a dueling deck inside comes forward. Kushina says, with a dark smile, “I see. You plan to duel one of the Signers and try to capture them, but it will never succeed.”

Danzo asks, plainly, “How can you say that?”

Kushina then creates a Dark Signer duel disk with a dueling deck inside and she says, with a dark smile, “You shall never leave here alive! This is just perfect! I challenge your little tool to a duel and if you win, you can escape, but don’t expect to.”

Danzo tells Kushina, with a plain tone, “Do you think that you can win?”

Kushina tells Danzo, with a dark wicked smile, “Minato-kun and I played Duel Monsters extensively when we were kids, fool! In fact, he and I were the only ones who can beat each other! And now, it is time to for to face a duel like none other!” The Hummingbird Mark on her left arm glows in which outside of Danzo’s currently location, dark violet flames in the form of the Hummingbird of the Nazca Lines surround the area, and Kushina and the ROOT member activates their duel disks which causes their decks to be shuffled in which their life-point counters display 4000 life-points for each duelist as their duel begins.

“Duel!” Kushina and the ROOT member yell out in unison as their duel begins.

Kushina says, drawing a card, “And I’ll take the first draw!” Kushina says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “First, I play my Spell Sanctuary continuous spell card! Now, we get to take one spell card from our decks and add them to our hands! And as long as this card remains on the field, all face-down spell cards are treated as Quick-Play spell cards from now on.” Both duelists take a card from their decks, their decks are reshuffled, and when Kushina’s Field Spell open, she says, putting a card inside, “And now, I play a Field Spell: Nest of the Eagle Dragon!” Soon after, the field is transformed into what looks like an area of deep mountains with nests filled baby dragons and predatory birds including Duel Monsters and Kushina says, with a grin, “Now, all dragons and winged beasts gain two hundred attack and defense points, but since this is their nesting grounds, I can summon any winged beast or dragon from my deck when one on the field is destroyed as long as it is of an equal or lower level.” Kushina says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “Next, I activate my Take Over Five spell! I discard the top five cards from my deck to the grave, but from now, as long as this spell card remains in my grave, I get to draw one card during my Standby Phase.” Kushina says, putting another card into spell/trap slots, “Then I play another continuous spell card! It is known as Field Barrier! Now, you can’t play a new Field Spell and if a card could destroy my spell, this card takes the hit!” Kushina says, putting yet another card into the spell/trap slots, “Next, I play my Sad Story- Sorrowful Memories! With this card, during our Draw Phase, if that draw is a monster, we must put that card back into our deck and reshuffle!”

ROOT member thinks, plainly, “Is she trying to lock my deck?”

Kushina says, putting one card on her duel disk, “I play my Cyber Harpie in attack mode!” Just then Cyber Harpie (1800/1300-2000/1500) appears on the field in attack mode and Kushina says, putting a card into the spell/trap slots, “It gets a bonus due to my Field Spell and now, I end my turn with a face-down!”

ROOT member says, drawing a card, “It’s my turn!” ROOT member looks at the card, puts it back into the deck, and the deck reshuffles itself in which ROOT member says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I play of Pot of Greed and draw two more cards!” ROOT member draws two more cards and she says, “Since this isn’t the Draw Phase, your spell card has no effect.” ROOT member says, putting another card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Double Summon spell card! This card allows me to Normal Summon this turn!” ROOT member says, putting two cards onto her duel disk, “So, I play my Search Striker and my Torapart!” Immediately, Search Striker (1600/1200) and Torapart (600/600) appear on the field in attack mode.

Kushina says, with a dark plain tone, “A tuner, huh?”

ROOT member says, “And now, I tune my Torapart with my Search Striker in order to Synchro Summon my Goyo Guardian!” Torapart turns into two stars that turn into two rings that surround Search Striker making it become transparent. When a column of light appears on the field, the ROOT member gets a card from her Extra deck and puts it on her duel disk causing Goyo Guardian (2800/2000) appears on the field in attack mode. ROOT member says, plainly, “Goyo Guardian, attack her Harpie!” As Goyo Guardian starts its attack, she tells Kushina, “Plus, due to Goyo Guardian’s ability, you can’t play any trap cards.” Goyo Guardian slams its lariat weapon into Cyber Harpie, smashing it, and Kushina grunts out in pain as she loses 800 life-points.

Danzo thinks in his mind, “Did that attack just hurt her?” On the meanwhile, Cyber Harpie (1800/1300-2000/1500) reappears and goes to the ROOT member’s side of the field in defense mode and tied up by Goyo Guardian’s lariat.

ROOT member says, with a plain tone, “And due to my Guardian’s ability, your monster belongs to me.”

A card comes out of Kushina’s deck and she says, putting it on her duel disk, “However, you still destroyed it in battle allowing me to play my Harpie Lady number one in attack mode!” Just then Harpie Lady 1 (1300/1400-1800/1600) appears on the field in attack mode in which Cyber Harpie stats go up from 2000/1500 to 2300/1500 due to Harpie Lady 1’s ability.

ROOT member says, putting two cards into the spell/trap slots, “I shall end my turn with two cards face-down.”

Kushina says, drawing a card, “It’s my move!” Kushina looks at it and draws another card, due to the ability to her Take Over Five spell card, and she says, putting one card into the spell/trap slots, “I activate my Card of Sanctity! This forces both of us to draw until we have six cards in our hands!” Both duelists draw from their desk until they have six cards in their hands and Kushina says, pushing a button on her duel disk, “And now, I play my Owner’s Seal spell card!” Kushina’s face-down card is the Owner’s Seal spell card and Kushina says, with a grin, “This card returns control of my Harpie to me since it was mine to begin with fool!” Just then Cyber Harpie returns to Kushina’s field and Kushina says, her eyes glowing menacingly, “And now, I release both Harpies in order to summon the instrument of your doom! Meet my Immortal: Aslla Piscu in attack mode!” She puts the said card on her duel disk and it gives off a dark sinister glow.

Danzo yells out, perplexed, “What’s happening?! In the skies above them, the two monsters have turned into two orbs and combine to form a sinister looking cocoon which begins to suck up in which the roof above Danzo and the two duelists is destroyed exposing the sky in which he sees what looks like specters going into it in which he cries out as he turns into one which is absorbed by the massive cocoon.

The ROOT member says, shocked, “Danzo-sama!”

Kushina says, with a dark smile, “Too late, tool! It is time to join him!” Just then the cocoon bursts open in a column of dark energy and out of that column, Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu (2500/2500-2700/2700) looms over them in attack mode. ROOT member, who was trained/brainwashed, to be emotionlessly is truly afraid of the massive creature sensing the evil vibes coming off it. Kushina says, with a dark smile while putting in a card into the spell/trap slots, “If you aren’t afraid, you should be fool! I activate my final spell card: Pump Up! This card allows me to double the power of my Immortal for this turn!” Just then Aslla Piscu’s stats go up from 2700/2700 to 5400/2700 and Kushina says, with a dark smile, “And by the way, your pathetic monster isn’t my target, you are! My Immortal can attack you directly!”

The ROOT member says, stunned, “Oh no!”

Kushina calls out, with a dark wicked grin, “That’s right, tool! Aslla Piscu, send this pathetic wench into the Netherworld!” The ROOT member looks for a way to escape, but she finds that her feet are stuck to the foot as the beak of Aslla Piscu crashes down on her causing her to lose 5400 life-points and the duel!

ROOT member: 0

With the end of the dark, the dark flames surrounding the area go away leaving a scar in the shape of the Hummingbird of the Nazca Lines in the ground in which some distance away, we find a Leaf ANBU member seeing the scar from a safe distance and overlooking the area.

ANBU asks, stunned, “What happened here?” The ANBU immediately heads off towards the area to investigate not knowing of the event that he just happened.

(On the meanwhile; Back with our Signers group)

Right now, we find our Signers group looking at Might Gai, who has the unconscious Sasuke on his back, as he prepares to head back to the Leaf Village and get Sasuke to the hospital back at Naruto’s and Jiraiya’s home village. Might Gai arrived after the battle and without knowing who was inside of the damaged hotel, he ‘accidentally’ attacked Jiraiya which made Gai feel dumb in more ways than one. Once Gai learned what happened, he explained that Kakashi got slammed with the same jutsu that Itachi used on Sasuke much to Naruto’s shock in which Gai learned that Jiraiya was going after Tsunade which shocked him to say the least. Right now, Gai is preparing to return to the Leaf Village with Sasuke.

Jiraiya tells Gai, “Gai, we’ll leave Sasuke up to you.”

Gai looks to see Naruto looking at the unconscious Sasuke and Gai tells Jiraiya, “Jiraiya-sama, please bring Lady Tsunade back soon.”

Naruto says, with a nod, “Don’t worry, we’ll have her back in the village in no time!”

Gai tells Naruto, with a grin, “Naruto-sama, nothing impresses me more than guts! You are truly like your mother! I remember her like yesterday! A perfect kunoichi! Beautiful, powerful, dominating, and filled with the same stuff that you have!”

Naruto says, with a weak smile, “Yeah…”

Gai says, with a sigh, “I have been informed on what happened and if anyone can save your mother, you can Naruto-sama.”

Naruto says, with a confident smile, “I will, sir.”

Ninja Ryu tells Gai, “Gai, I believe that it is best that you get the Uchiha back to the village where he will be safe until we can bring Tsunade-sama back.”

Gai says, with his classic smile, “Right, Hayabusa-sama! I’m off!” Soon enough, Gai speeds off into the distance to get Sasuke back into the village.

Jiraiya tells everyone, “Well, everyone, we had better get going. We’ll need to find Tsunade as quick as possible.”

Naruto asks Jiraiya, “Pervy Sage, what do you think that these goons want with you know what? And do you think that they are working with Madara?”

Jiraiya sighs and replies, “I’m not really sure what they would want monstrosity and I can’t be sure if they work for Madara after what they said.”

Naruto asks, seriously, “How can there be someone with the same Rinnegan as I have?”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh, “Actually, Naruto, I met someone with the Rinnegan before you.”

Naruto yells out, stunned, “You did? Who? Maybe I can find them to help me with my training!”

Jiraiya tells Naruto, with a sigh, “It was back during one of the wars that our nation fought and it was in the area of the Hidden Rain Village. I had met him along with two other ‘war orphans’, children who had lost their families to the war in one way or another. I had stayed with them for awhile to help train them to defend themselves in which I had found out one of them had the Rinnegan after he used it protecting another of his friends. I thought that he would change the world, but then I had heard he had died along with the other two. However, I can’t be so sure now.”

Ryu asks Jiraiya, seriously, “Do you think that this guy is in charge of these Akatsuki?”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh, “I can’t be sure, but if their leader does has indeed the Rinnegan, it is a possibility. The Rinnegan is legendary and it isn’t your run of the mill bloodline. And if it is him, then I must destroy him. As the one who taught him the ways of the ninja, I am his teacher like Naruto and if any student goes astray, then it is my duty to stop him.”

Ninja Ryu says, with a plain tone, “However, we do know that Kisame and Itachi know Madara personally and most likely, Madara is involved with the Uchiha Massacre if Itachi knows him.”

There are gasps from Naruto and Hinata and Jiraiya says, with a plain tone, “That’s a good possibility, Hayabusa-sama.”

Naruto says, with a serious tone, “If that’s true, then I have to get stronger to stop these jerks and make those two asses tell me all they know about Madara.”

Jiraiya says, with a sigh and smile, “Just like your mother, kid. I just can’t help to think that you are going to do just what you set out to do.”

But then a voice calls out, “There is a difference between saying and doing.” Everyone whips their heads to the source to find a tall man with spiky blue, red visor over his eyes, and wearing a grey and dark blue bodysuit.

Jiraiya thinks in his mind, surprised, “How did he sneak up on us?”

Ninja Ayane asks, plainly, “Who are you?”

The man replies, “My name is Vizor.”

Ryu and Ayane then gasp and Ayane says, amazed, “Vizor? Dad told me about you! You had come from the same horrible future that ZONE and Aproia did, but you were our dad’s ally in which you helped him achieve Accel Synchro Summon.”

The man says, with a nod, “That’s right. And after the Signers victory, my future faded away and a new future, a better one, appeared in its place.”

Ryu asks, curiously, “Then if your future is gone, then why are you still here?”

Vizor replies, “Time paradox, young Ryu. Even through the future that I had come from is no longer than path that time is taking, my future still exists in one form or another.”

Naruto asks, confused, “Time what?”

Ayane tells Naruto, with a giggle, “We’ll explain to you, Naruto… someday.”

Vizor tells them, “I am here to warn you that the future that your family has created is gone now and another horrible future has taken its place. The world that you saw in Naruto’s battle with Neo Paradox.”

There are plenty of gasps and Naruto yells out, stunned, “Wait! You mean that future that guy told me about is going to happen?”

Vizor says, with a nod, “That’s correct. The Elemental Countries is indeed the center of future that was even worse from where I came from and unless, you, the Signers, find a way to change it, all of humanity doesn’t have a future.”

Naruto says, with a groan, “Just perfect.”

Ayane asks Vizor, “Vizor, can you tell us how this horrible future will come back?”

Vizor replies, shaking his head, “I’m afraid that’s all I know, Ayane Fudo. However, all I do know is that you need to become stronger than your parents did and all of you, the new Signers, have the ability to gain even stronger levels of power and ability than Yusei and others could even imagine. I also known that in order to prevent the horrible future that Neo Paradox came from, you need the powers of light and darkness. You need the power of Leon’s father, Jaden Yuki. And I know exactly where he and his wife are.”

There are gasps and Leon yells out, stunned, “You know where my dad is?”
Vizor says, with a plain tone, “I do, but only the Signers can take up this journey and hope to succeed in bringing him back. However, you need to prove to me that you are ready. Signers, I challenge you to a duel! If one of you is able to beat me, I will give you the location of Jaden Yuki and Alexis Rhodes as well as how to get there.”

Ryu prepares to step forward and Ayane says, “I’ll take you on, Vizor.”

Ryu tells Ayane, surprised, “Ayane, this is the person that taught our dad how to Accel Synchro. He has an Accel Synchro monster of his own. I might be the only one that can defeat him.”

Ayane tells Ryu, strongly, “Mom didn’t have the ability to Accel Synchro like dad and she did fine, bro. I know that I can win.”

Vizor tells Ayane, with a smile, “You have fine spirit. I can sense the spirit of your dad, Yusei, in you and he was a good friend.”

Ayane says, with a nod, “I know… Bruno.”

Vizor says, with a smile, “Ayane, I accept your challenge.” Vizor says, with a serious tone, “However, I won’t hold back on you.”

Ayane tells Vizor, “Vizor, I also want to make it a Turbo Duel as well.”

There are plenty of looks of surprise and Vizor says, with a nod, “As you wish, Ayane. I know that you and your brother have Duel Boards and use them well. As a fellow Duelist, I will honor your wish.” Just then a loud roaring sound is heard and Vizor’s Duel Runner, Delta Eagle, then comes up by some kind of remote control. Vizor says, with a serious tone, “This is my Duel Runner, Delta Eagle.”

Ayane says, with a nod, “Let’s do this, Vizor!” As Ayane prepares to duel Vizor in a Turbo Duel, the others watch as it looks like the search for Tsunade is put on hold for the moment for this duel as the possibility of a dark future looms over them all…

Ryu: Ayane is Turbo Dueling against Vizor, who showed my dad and taught him Accel Synchro.

Naruto: Whoa, Ryu! This guy is good! He has that Accel Synchro whatever of his out already!

Ayane: I won’t lose! Leon is counting on us to find his dad and we need him to save the world!

Tsunade: Orochimaru…

Orochimaru: I’ve finally found you, Tsunade.

Tsunade (annoyed): What do you want you snake?

Orochimaru: I’ve got an offer: Restore my arms and I’ll restore your loved one with a forbidden jutsu that I know!

Shizune: Lady Tsunade, you can’t take his offer!

Jiraiya: We’ve finally found out, Tsunade!

Tsunade: What do you want Jiraiya?

Jiraiya: The Old Man wants you to take his place as the Fifth Hokage.

Tsunade: I refuse to go on a fool’s errand which cost the Fourth Hokage his life.

Naruto (angrily): How dare you belittle the position of Hokage? A position that my dad lost his life for protecting the village!

Tsunade: Who are you?

Jiraiya: This is your godson, Naruto.

Tsunade (stunned): Naruto… Kushina’s son… but…

Davis: No way! You’re… Yugi Moto?
Ninja Ryu: That’s not Yugi Moto. It is a clone developed by the rogue members of the DOA.

DOAETC member: That’s right, Hayabusa. And soon, we will develop both the ultimate warrior and the ultimate duelist.

Davis: There is no way that I’m going to get defeated by a fake!

Haku: Next time on ‘Naruto 5Ds’: Sannins and Signers

Ayane (shocked): No way! What are YOU doing here?!

We have the next chapter flying by and I must say that things are getting interesting, but they are going to get more interesting, everyone. I’m just letting you know that I’m adding one final crossover into my story! Which one will it be? You are going to have to read and find out! Why I’m doing this? It is because of what’s happening on Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds, namely what I’m seeing in the Japanese versions. It has been confirmed that the original Fifth Dragon, the one that was first seen in Season One, before Black-Winged Dragon is going to make its appearances on the latest episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds in Japan. They’ve already given it the name of ‘Life Stream Dragon’ and Leo, Luna’s twin brother, is going to be a SIXTH Signer! Since that’s the case, there is going to be a sixth Signer in my story, but you’ll need to read and find out who will be that Signer!
