Turned And Walked Away

She waits and waits, ever since that day

When he turned and walked away.

“Never to love again,” she claimed,

For her very heart and soul he'd maimed.

How could she feel those feelings she'd felt?

He was the only one who could make her heart melt.

He was the sole light in her life,

The only one to help her get through the strife.

She never saw anyone but him,

Giving in to his every whim.

Even though their bond together had thickened,

Her heartbeat, every time they met, would quicken.

Forever didn't seem like enough time to be;

Not good enough just to last for eternity.

Forever came and went it seems, for on that fateful day,

He left her world at frozen pace when he turned and walked away.
