A/N: I was given a challenge by this underclassman in my Chem class `cause he didn't think I could write a poem about `laughter healing' with the following 4 rules: 1. has to have personification 2. has to have a metaphor 3. cannot directly say laughter heals and 4. must mention time. Laughter

A dark place to start

Pain, suffering weigh down the heart

The pain is a weight, sinking fast

The pain is a shadow, large and vast

But as the minutes pass, seconds tick away

And time quickly wastes the day

A light finds its way down the path

To save you from this painful wrath

Laughter caresses your soul

Makes your entirety whole

It brings to you a feeling of love

Feelings of joy and hope to raise you above
