Crossover With Non-anime Series Fan Fiction ❯ Terdwilicker's Anime Reviews ❯ Wave, Listen To Me ( Chapter 61 )

[ A - All Readers ]

Radio stations are run by sound and broadcasting engineers, advertising salesreps, accountants, talent managers, secretaries, and eventually the very bottom of the totem pole: voice talent. The DJs are the lowest of all. Anybody can do that job. The talk radio hosts are slightly better respected, and paid, but they often do commercials to supplement their incomes.

Wave Listen To Me is the story of Minare, an aging (but only 25) year old blonde Ainu with a motormouth, an alcohol problem, a car loan, and terrible taste in men. The last one earns her ire and gets her a radio spot... at 2 AM. Or 3 AM. Middle of the night when only insomniacs are listening. She sputters out frantic streams of consciousness, and the voice acting is top-notch there by Riho Sugiyama. Her complaints resonate with anyone with life experience, so this show will be less meaningful for a teenager. Wait until you're 20+ to try this. Additionally, the story takes place in Sapporo, which is great. The number of anime there is barely a dozen.
