Note from Israfel: I'd like for everyone to note that in this Fic Allen dresses in Decora-kei, though not all decora-kei's, in fact most of them, do not dress as revealing as I'm having Allen dress, and his form of Decora-kei is meant for the amusement of all and for my own twisted pleasure for the fic…

Perfect Weakness
New Age Culture
He is standing on the Jingu-Bashi bridge, waiting for someone.
He is dressed in a manner so that he doesn't stand out here…
…which means he is dressed strangely…
The Jingu-Bashi bridge is well know among the youth of Tokyo, well known among the adults in Tokyo as well. It is the place where Visual-kei fans flock, the place where their groupies come to play, dressed as their favorite band members, it is where the Gothic Lolita's parade around in Double Decker shoes, the place where unknown bands like to hang out.
It is the place Allen is hoping to see someone again…
The small foreign male crosses his arms around his torso, over his brightly colored shirts and looks down at his shoes. He is wearing boots, platformed ones. They are a clear blue color, jelly shoes, ones that he had thought of as “stripper shoes” when his female friend had told him to wear them.
Some people walk by, androgynous in their appearance, and Allen wonders if that is something that is in. He wonders about himself then, about his own appearance. He knows that he looks androgynous right now, that he looks like a flat chested female, or a feminine male.
The phone in his pocket goes off, playing a tune from a band, one that his friend likes, one that she set for herself on his phone. Allen digs for it in his messenger bag, feeling like he is being watched by all the people on the bridge. He pulls the phone out and answers automatically in English, his natural language.
“Hello?”
“Allen! I know I'm late, I missed the first train and I had to take the second one, can you get someplace on the bridge where I'll be able to see you?”
“Linalee, you can spot me a mile away, no matter where I am I'm the only one with white hair…”
“Ooooh I think I see you then!” Allen stands up a little straighter and looks around the bridge for the female.
“I don't see you…” He speaks into the phone scanning those around him.
“I'm right here…” Linalee snaps her phone shut, scaring the British teen as she speaks from right behind him. Allen turns around instantly and he momentarily forgets what he was going to say. Linalee is dressed in a black and white dress, something that resembles what a porcelain doll would wear. She has black tights on, wooden soled Double Decker shoes on and a cape, one that reminds Allen of red ridding hood, only this one is decorated in white lace and bows, ribbons placed about it.
“What are you wearing?” His voice is high pitched and he takes a step back.
“Isn't it darling, I bought it from h.Naota not too long ago, the cape's from Victorian Maiden.” Linalee smiles brightly as she takes in the clothes Allen is wearing. She had instructed him to wear them the other day but had not expected him to really wear them.
“You look adorable!” She says seeing that he even wore the jelly boots.
“I feel so vulnerable.” Allen turns slightly away from the female and realizes that she fits in completely with everyone on the bridge. Linalee gives a small laugh as she stretches her arms into the air.
“It's fine, now we just need to find the band Lavi wanted to meet.” The British teen rolls his eyes at the mention of his other friend, the only other foreigner that he's met that stands out as much as himself.
“Right, right, so why isn't he here?” Allen shifts his weight, adjusting the messenger bag he is holding so that it sits just a little more comfortably.
“He has make up work today…”
“It's Sunday…schools closed…”
“Not the college,” Linalee smiles as her phone buzzes in her pocket.
“Really? Could have surprised me, I thought Sunday was Japan's rest day…” Allen's voice is sarcastic as he turns and looks about the people on the bridge. His eyes wander to a person that looks vaguely familiar and for a moment he is reminded of the singer from the band he saw on his first night out in Tokyo.
“Allen… Allen… Aren!” The platinum blond jumps as Linalee practically screams his name, slurring it in the accent she has acquired from living in Japan most of her life.
“What?” He asks, feeling eyes on him yet unable to see who is staring.
“The band, the one we need to get pictures of, they hang out in ura-hara and are playing in a club there tonight.” Linalee is texting on her phone as she speaks, rapidly if Allen has anything to say about it.
“How do you know?” Allen is resistant to go, remembering how his head had hurt for days after visiting the club.
“Lavi told me, he knows where all the underground Visu bands are playing…” Linalee snaps her phone shut and looks up at Allen. She is smiling broadly, and for a moment he wonders if he should go with her.
“Is your brother allowing you to go?” At this the female laughs, laughs enough to draw attention from others near by.
“You think he'd seriously let me go to a Visual-kei concert? Let alone one in ura-hara?” She is giggling still and Allen frowns at this. He tugs at the shorts he is wearing, feeling oddly aware of there length, or lack there of.
“Fine whatever I get it, it's a place we're not supposed to be. So how long do we have till then?”
“Just enough time to get there.”
-
Allen has wrapped his jacket around himself, trying to hide his outfit to those on the streets. He feels… exposed and is silently cursing Linalee for having chosen something so strange for him to wear. He knows that it is to fit in, but at the moment he almost, almost, wishes she had dressed him as a Lolita, at least then the clothes wouldn't be so short or revealing…
…which is probably why Linalee dresses as a Lolita and not in Decora-kei…
Allen shakes his head as he is lead over to a vending machine. Linalee is staring at the many drinks, deciding on what to get. She is buying them as a small bride to get the pictures Lavi needs.
“What do you think they'd like? Tea…soda…?” Allen blinks and shrugs as the air shifts and a strong gust of wind whips through the back alley they are on. “I dunno, I've never met someone like this before.” Linalee rolls her eyes and straightens up. She turns to stare at the British teen frowning lightly.
“They are people just like you and I, and assuming they have just preformed-OH I know, Pocari Sweat would be best then.” Allen looks away glad to not have been lectured.
“Alright,” Linalee stands up, holding five bottles of the drink against her chest. They are clear, with a cloudy liquid inside that Allen had been unsure about when he had fist tried one. “Let's go, their concert should be starting soon.” The female smiles and hands Allen all of the bottles. “Put them in your bag.”
“How long is this going to take?” The British teen asks trying to stuff the drinks into his almost too small bag.
“Not too long…” Linalee pulls her phone out, checking the time and frowning at what she saw. “We need to get going otherwise we'll be late…”
“Uh-hunh…” Allen sounds disinterested as he adjusts his bag on his shoulder. He looks around the small street alleyway they are on, watching the few people that are near by. “How far are we from the place?” Linalee looks up from her phone, from the text she has received and smiles.
“It's just around the corner.” She turns and starts to walk away. Allen's eyes drift down to her shoes, to her 305-1's and frowns, still uncertain how she can walk on something that looks like the heel has been removed. He follows after her a second later, a little farther down the street, past a few small boutique's and around the corner.
They are instantly met with a mass of people, a mass of visual-kei fans. Allen frowns as they turn and look at them, at him. Linalee smiles politely at a few people they pass before walking down a set of stairs and into a club.
The music inside is playing, loud and hectic and so strange to Allen. He understands half of what is being said, half of it because the singer is screaming parts of the lyrics, slurring others. He shakes his head as they are met with a large man, a bouncer Allen assumes.
“How old are you?” He says this more towards Allen then to Linalee.
“We're miners still.” Linalee is the one to reply, half shouting her sentence as the music starts to fade. The man nods and stamps the back of their hands before letting them venture any further into the club.
“Ooooh I wonder if they're any good…” Linalee speaks to no one in particular as she starts to force her way through the dispersing crowd.
“Does it matter? We're not here to actually watch them, we have to take pictures-ah sorry…” Allen says as he bumps into someone trying to keep up with the petite female.
“You're such a grump, why don't you enjoy the show as we take pictures.” The British teen rolls his eyes in response and decides not to say anything more as they make their way to the front of the stage.
By the time they reach it another crowd is starting to form, thicker and filled with far more people then the previous. Linalee pulls her camera out from her bag and starts to adjust the focus when the next band starts to set their equipment up.
-
Allen's anxiety rises instantly as he sees the members of the band, as he sees the people begin to set their equipment up. Linalee has fixed the focus of her camera and is snapping away at them, seemingly oblivious to her friends sudden change in mood.
“Ah…Linalee…” The British teen turns to face her and she is forced to pull her camera away from her face.
“If you have to go to the bathroom you're finding it yourself…”
“No, I think I'm going to watch from the back…” At this Linalee frowns and opens her mouth to say something, to tell him he probably won't be able to make his way through the crowd, but she is cut off by a melodic voice speaking into the microphone…
Allen can feel his blood run cold as he turns to look at the man on stage, at the one he had seen so long ago.
“You know who the fuck I am and who we are-” There is a shout from the background, causing the man to roll his eyes and curse under his breath. “Right, we're Perfect Weakness, so enjoy…”
“For a vocalist he's pretty mean…” Allen looks at Linalee who just smiles and takes a picture, one with her phone.
“Lavi said that's how he is, Cruel and Crude, but people like his singing…” The sound of the bass starts up, and the teen's attention is drawn back to the stage. He stares, watches the man with his head bowed and inky black hair shadowing his face, watches as he moves the microphone up and whispers into it.
Allen feels a chill run up his spine, feels something stir in his stomach and he is forced to look away. Linalee takes a picture, and then another, completely oblivious to her friend. The whispering suddenly grows louder, turns into a scream and the crowd seems to come alive at the sound.
The guitar and drums start in and Allen turns his attention back to the man, back to the vocalist. He is nervous and unsure why. He wants to watch the man but something about doing so is odd and makes him feel queasy. The British teen shifts his position, suddenly feeling watched.
He looks up, at the stage, at the vocalist…
…and they stare at each other for a moment…
And then Allen is turning around, is pushing his way through the crowd.
-
By the time the last song fades Linalee is well aware of her friend's absence, though she is not worried, she is however, nervous about trying to speak with the band. The female waits a second for the crowd to start to disperse before shouting towards the band.
“Can I speak with you?” The bassist looks over at her and shakes his head a moment before nudging the vocalist. Linalee watches the two talk for a moment before hearing a few hushed curses.
“I'm a friend of Lavi!” She adds after a moment, causing the two to look over at her. The bassist gives a small smile before shoving the other towards her and walking off stage.
“Fuck you too…” Linalee frowns at the others choice in words as he walks towards her.
“What do you want?”
“You're Kanda Yuu right?” The female smiles brightly as the vocalist hops off the stage. He looks around a moment frowning, still not answering her question.
“Where'd your friend go? The one with white hair?” Linalee blinks a moment, surprised at the question.
“Allen? I'm not sure, he's around here somewhere…Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?”
“…why?”
“Lavi wants to know a few things…” The man gives a small sigh, walking off to the side of the stage.
“Fuck, I knew ignoring him would be bad…” Linalee blinks, confused for a moment. She opens her mouth to voice her thoughts when the male turns around quickly.
“I'll answer his damn questions just not tonight, I don't feel like talking…” His sentence tapers off as something behind her catches his eye. The petite female turns around to see what the other is staring at, somehow amazed to see Allen again. He is walking towards them, looking somewhat sick.
“Are you okay?”
“I think I'm going to head home…” Allen glances at the man beside his friend but does nothing more to acknowledge his presence.
“Can you find it by yourself?” Linalee can't help but smile lightly at the pout on her friends face.
“Yes, I can, I've managed so far…” The British teen's eyes start to wander towards the other person before snapping back to his friend. “I'm leaving, you want the drinks you bought?”
“What? Oh yeah!” The female gives a small laugh as she is handed all but one of the drinks. Allen turns to the slightly older male and hands him the last one.
“Here, she got them for you…” He turns his attention back to Linalee and waves good bye. For a moment he says nothing more and starts to walk away, starts to but stops. He turns back around and walks up to the man next to Linalee.
“You're band is good…”
“My name's Kanda…” Allen nods feeling strangely lightheaded before turning and officially leaving.
-
So, that's the start, I know the chappies short but I don't want to over extend the beginning, and force things along too quickly, SO I'm leaving it at this. I know there wasn't a lot of Kandy in this chapter but there will be more in the future, as his and Allen's relationship starts.
On a side note I'd like to mention that Allen and Linalee are in high school while Lavi and Kanda are in college…, the next chapter should be called Child Prey, unless I feel the need to change it, which I doubt I will…
Au Revoir,
