Chapter Four: What I Want

 

Monday Afternoon-Night

 

“What do you mean there's two people inside of Dai-niisan?” the little kitsune asked.

 

“Well…” Dai rubbed the back of his head nervously. “My family and the Hikaris are kind of cursed. I don't know how it works for them and Krad, but when the last of the Niwa boys turn fourteen, our genes kick in and we have the ability to turn into Dark. It's been this way for the past four hundred years.”

 

“How?” Shippo prodded on.

 

“Dark and I react to unrequited love.”

 

“OH! You mean like Inuyasha and Kagome!?”

 

“Shippo!” both Inuyasha and Kagome said in unison, faint traces of a blush reaching their cheeks.
