Disclaimer: I do not own Dragonball Z or Digimon. I own all the original characters and the plot. (Tell them.) No. I also don't own the Digimon card game. (Tell them.) Shut up! I also like to state that I know nothing about the card game, so all comments made are merely guesses and pulled out from my rear-end. (Tell them!) At the end, damn it! At the friggen' end! Why couldn't I be a football player instead of a writer? (…You're a writer?)

"How did this happen? I mean, I thought this only happened to us!" Rika yelled as she looked on at the unusual group before her.

The group composed of Kenta, Kazu, Jeri, Takato, Henry, Rika, and Ryo. Next to each Tamer stood (or floated in some cases) their Digimon partner; Marieangemon, Guardromon, Calumon, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, and (insert Ryo's digimon here). All surprised by the new turn of events.

"This is so cool! Now we can go save the world again!" Kazu exclaimed, ready for any new challenge. Takato gave his friend a questionable look.

"What makes you think we have to save the world again?" Kazu rolled his eyes, as if Takato said the dumbest thing.

"Didn't you watch the show at all? Whenever the Digidestinied had to save the world, their Digimon returned to them. Come on!" Rika gave a frustrated sigh, fighting the urge to smack the easily excited Tamer.

"This isn't a T.V. show, you moron! This is real life!" Rika was about to go on, but Henry stopped her with a question.

"How did you guys get your partners back?" Kazu, Kenta, and Jeri blinked in consideration. Jeri was the first to speak.

"Well, I was going to the store to pick up some bread. I was walking by an alley and heard something. I stopped to see what it was, then Calumon jumped out of the alley, scaring me right out of my skin."

"Well Marieangemon appeared when I went to the park. He came out of this strange hole in the air. It was weird." Kenta looked up thoughtfully, then looked at the small, pink Digimon floating next to his head.

"Puu!" Marieangemon yelled with a smile.

"That's the same thing that happened to me, except it was at night! I went to take out the garbage when this hole appeared out of thin air. Naturally being the bravest Tamer here…" Rika snickered.

"Yeah right! You being brave! Takato is more likely to know what he's doing before that happens!" Ryo gently elbowed the tough female Tamer.

"Hey!" Kazu and Takato said in unison, both wearing a frown. The group had a good laugh from it.

When the group began to settle down again, Henry went back into questioning mode.

"I guess Jason had something to do with the return of the other's partners. But what is he?" Henry asked no one in particular. Takato responded with a question of his own.

"What do you mean by that? Isn't he human?" Henry rubbed his chin then raised an eyebrow.

"Maybe, but how many humans have you seen lift trees with little problems? If he's human, he isn't normal."

"Well I guess Chris Drakken isn't normal either." Ryo said. Rika quickly added, "Yeah, not too many humans can shoot blue light from their fist."

Kenta and Jeri wore a confused expression on their faces. Kazu on the other hand...

"Woah! You guys met Christopher Drakken! As in the Digimon King of America, Christopher Drakken!" Kazu yelled, angry that they met the said person without telling anyone else.

"Yeah, so what? He wasn't that great," Rika said while crossing her arms. Kazu felt like a brick was thrown at him.

"Not that great? Are you kidding me? He beat one of the best Japanese card players in five turns! That's like a record or something!" Ryo looked down at the ground as Kazu mentioned `one of the best card players'.

"Actual," Ryo let the word hang before deciding to continue. "It was more like six turns."

Rika raised an eyebrow. "How do you know this?" Rika asked, already knowing the answer. She wanted to hear what happened from the horse's mouth.

"I know this because," Ryo tried to swallow what little pride he had left. "I know because I was the one Kazu heard about."

Kazu and Kenta tried to contain his shock and dismal. Their hero was beaten in six turns? But he was the best? Rika smirked.

"Well, well. Looks like Mister I'm-such-a-great-tamer-I-can't-be-beat isn't as great as we all thought." Rika smiled, now knowing that the Great Ryo had some kinks in his armor just like everyone else. Ryo decided to bring Rika back into reality.

"Hey, Rika. Didn't he beat Renamon pretty easily?" Ryo smirked as Rika glared, full blast.

"Hey, I didn't bring my cards! How was I supposed to know Renamon would come back and that she would have to fight a manic?" Kenta decided to enter the argument before it was impossible to stop.

"Wait! Did you say you fought Chris? Does that mean he's a Tamer too?" No one could believe the next words to come from Rika's mouth.

"No, actual… he fought Renamon… by himself. No help from anyone," Rika, whom was now in Ryo's shoes, quickly added: "He had a power."

"Of course you couldn't beat him, no one can!" Everyone turned to Kazu, whom had an as-a-matter-of-fact tone to his voice.

"What else do you know?" Henry asked, wanting more information.

Kazu stood, with shock evident on his face. "Do you guys know anything about Chris? Chris fought the Digimon and D-Reaper in America. There is this rumor that he fought an agent. He beat it, but Chris had to go to the hospital afterwards. Heard he was really banged up."

"Well, it's good to know that he could take care of himself, but how did he do that thing with his fist?" Takato asked his friend, whom had all the answer for once.

"What thing with his fist?" Kazu raised an eyebrow.

"His fist was covered in a blue light. It was in the shape of a lizard head, or something…" Rika said, trying to determine what that light was.

"A blue light in the shape of a lizard head. What are you guys talking about?" Kazu could not believe what he was hearing. Chris had powers? Since when did that happen?

Calumon began to get slightly bored. Deciding to lighten the mood a bit, Calumon wiggled out of the arms of Jeri, then flew over to Rika. The group looked on, curiosity rearing its head. Calumon smiled then patted Rika on the forehead.

"Rika, you're it!" Calumon then dropped to the ground and ran off, giggling along the way. Rika looked at the rest of the group, wondering what just happened.

"Hey, you heard the little guy! You're it!" Ryo ran off in the same direction as the white puffball. The rest of the Tamers joined suit, laughing at the female Tamer's misfortune.

Rika first scowled, then ran after the group. "When I get my hand on you guys...!"

The rest of the day, was for the games…..

Chris, after dressing himself with all his clothes and weapons, walked back to the door of the room. He looked once more at the bed, which he had slept in for three days straight. `Well, at least the bed was comfortable.....'

Chris wore the same clothes that he wore the morning of the fight with the demon. His jeans, torn at the knees, shirt, nearly shredded to pieces (Due to the bite to the shoulder and the demon's sharp claws), and jacket missing (He had forgotten it at the park.) The only piece of clothing still perfectly intact was his bandanna, which never becomes worn, or torn.

Chris opened the door and walked back into the kitchen/living room. Goku stood, waiting with orb in hand. He face wore a smile but his expression was serious.

"Chris..."

"I told you Goku, I need to return to my home."

"You can a stay and train with us. Trust me, you'll get extremely strong!" Goku hoped against hope.

"I don't need assistance, even if you did beat me with one finger!" Chris replayed their fight. It was one of the most humiliating loses he had ever endured. "I prefer to train my own way, at my own pace. I couldn't keep up with you even if I trained for a year straight…."

".....I understand. But, if you need help, you know where I live." Goku said with a smile.

"Understood. Now, I need to go home."

Goku handed the Orb to Chris. Chris held the sphere in front of him. Closing his eyes, Chris began to imagine his bedroom. Suddenly, the light in the center began to light brighten. Chris opened his eyes to view the process. The light changed from a brilliant white light, to a near black light, then back. Goku and Chris watched as the Orb rose from Chris's hand and levitated to the middle of the room. The light continued to brighten until it was almost as bright as the sun. Then, the Orb `exploded', with all the particles floating in place and the light in the center. The particles began to move and orbit the light. Faster and faster until it made an oval the same size and shape as the vortex. The light began to expand until it reached the `oval.' With one more burst of light, the hole appeared. Chris and Goku looked on with awe.

"You don't see that everyday…" Goku finally said, snapping Chris out of his trance.

"This is going to be really interesting…" Chris jumped through the vortex, finally going home.

The vortex began to shrink, until all the particles and the light disappeared. With another burst of light, the Orb appeared. It looked the same with the exception of the loss of light. Goku noted that fact immediately.

"Oh, shoot! I forgot how to charge this thing. I wonder if it takes double-A batteries…."

* * *

A vortex appeared in an alleyway. Pieces of garbage drifted away from the doorway to the other dimension. Chris appeared from the portal, landing on his feet. Amazed and a little dazed, Chris watched as the portal disappeared in one flash of light. `That was amazing. That Orb can be very useful....'

Chris looked at his watch. `10:15. Hope mom and dad aren't worried..... Oh, who am I kidding! Of course they're worried. Shit! I'm in trouble…'

Chris walked from the alleyway and headed toward his home. The streets we're desolate. The few that were on the streets were late for work, going to work, didn't work, at work, or going to school.

Chris walked through the streets, hands in pockets, eyes watching, waiting. The air filled with an energy that screamed "Trouble!". At least to Chris anyways. The boy stopped walking, listening to the sound of an explosion in the distance. Then gunshots were heard, followed by more explosions. Chris swore under his breath. `At least let me get home first! Damn!'

Chris ran to the source of all the commotion. Chris ran past a couple, running the other direction. Boooom! Explosion becoming louder. Bangbangbangbang! Gunshots becoming more frequent as the boy closed in on his destination. `Is the military here, or something?'

Chris arrived to find the whole NYPD, with squad cars and in riot gear, parked out side the park. Firing, what seemed to be, a hundred bullets. Many stopped to reload while other continued to fire. Chris looked around the scene. Some officers were on the ground, either unconscious, bleeding, or both. Chris then heard screams as two men flew over three squad cars, only to be welcomed by the pavement. More shots were fired in retaliation, but by the acts (and words) of frustration coming from the men and women of the police department, it was useless. Chris searched every face, looking for someone to explain to him what the hell was going on.

Chris finally found the lieutenant from the bank heist earlier that week. He was by the two men that tried to see if they could fly. Checking their pulse and determining that they were still alive, the lieutenant yelled some orders to nearby officers. The officers rushed over to the fallen men and dragged them behind squad cars to be barricaded from the menace that didn't want to die. Chris ran over to the lieutenant, whom was ducking behind his car.

"Lieutenant! What the hell is going on!" The man looked over at Chris, relief evident on his face.

"Thank God, you're here! I think the D-Reaper has come back!" Shock appeared on the boy's face.

"What! That's not possible!"

"At least, I think it's the D-Reaper. Look, all I know is, bullets don't do a thing!" The lieutenant wiped sweat from his brow, then reloaded hi firearm. "We can't seem to hurt this thing!"

"Damn it! Okay, tell everyone to stop shooting...." Chris yelled, gathering his courage. The lieutenant gave Chris a confused expression.

"What? Why?" Chris rolled his eyes, the stretched his arm.

"Because, I don't like to get shot at in the middle of a fight!" `Moron!' Chris walked toward the epicenter of the chaos. The lieutenant quickly grabbed his walkie-talkie, yelling to all officers.

"All officers! Stand down! I repeat! Stand down! We are getting a specialist on the case!" A female officer decided to confirm the order.

"Sir, by specialist you mean...." The lieutenant interrupted, finishing her statement.

"Yes! Christopher Drakken has arrived! All officers stand down and let the kid do what he has to!" Chris walked passed all the proud men and women of the police department. No expression, no thought appeared as he walked by.

Chris heard many of the whispers. Most doubted him and his abilities, some even doubted the great many stories they've heard. Some, whom have witnessed first hand what this twelve-year-old boy could do, gave him good luck. Chris frowned. `Fools! Each and every one! .....What the hell...'.

Chris walked up to a battlefield. Cars were upside-down; street lamps, post, traffic lights, trees uprooted from the ground; the concrete cracked; windows were shattered; buildings' structural integrity were placed into question. But the one thing that made Chris's frown change into a smirk was the giant forty-foot long serpent. `Well, looks like being late was worth it.' Chris laughed as he charged the demon....

Desk covered with homework, pictures of Digimon, and the occasional card here or there. Posters of Digimon covered the walls of his room. Guilmon slept soundly in the rug as the Tamer known as Takato slept in his warm bed, covered in a Digimon bedspread. To say he was obsessed with Digimon would be an understatement. Of course, after saving the world, he had the right to.

The day passed with an assortment of games; tag, hide-and-go-seek, water fights, card games, soccer, and who was more of a baby. All were fun (all except the last game: Kazu and Kenta hated that game thoroughly), all wasted every bit of energy they possessed. After playing after the sunset, the Tamers decide to go home and prepare for the next fun filled day of school (sarcastic, Rika was). Takato arrived home to chores and homework. He didn't mind; He had his best friend there to help him (except for the homework part, of course), what could be better?

After dinner, which Guilmon had the most of, the duo ventured out to Takato's room. There, sleep almost came instantly, with unrelenting dominance. The room held a very peaceful atmosphere. The only light came from the green glow of an alarm clock on a bed stand. Twelve fifteen. A sound of a barking dog was heard in the distance, but was quickly silenced. Guilmon suddenly awoke from the world of Guilmon bread, and peanut butter, to an unfamiliar smell. Guilmon stood, inhaling the air. Sensing danger, Guilmon walked over to he's Tamer's bed.

"Takato!" Guilmon said, while shaking the boy. "Takato! I think there's trouble."

Takato groaned slightly, then turned to the side. "Five more minutes mom.... Just five more minutes...."

"Wake up, Takato! I smell something!" Takato sat up slowly, rubbing sleep from his eyes. Takato yawned once before replying.

"What is it? It's 11:15 and I have school tomorrow...."

"Something is coming...." Takato looked at his partner, now fully awake.

"Do you mean a Digimon!" Guilmon nudged Takato out of bed.

"I don't know. We have to get there quick!" Takato jumped out of bed and ran to the closet.

"Okay! Let me get dressed first!"

* * *

Takato (Now in his blue hoodie and brown shorts. Goggles back on his forehead) and Guilmon ran down the empty street, their feet the noisiest thing on the street. Guilmon lead the way through alleyways, intersections, and backyards. Finally, he arrived at their favorite spot in the park. Takato, out of breath, looked around the dead park. It was nearing summertime and the mosquitoes made their presence painfully aware. Moths and other small flying insects fly toward the lampposts. Some die from getting to close, others continue their pursuit. All very silent, all normal. Takato looked at his partner.

"You sure there's something here? I don't see anything...." Guilmon was about to reply, when they heard a familiar yell.

"Are you two going to have all the fun without me?" Guilmon turned to see Renamon and Rika, arms crossed. Rika wore her favorite white and blue shirt with the big blue heart, and her favorite punk jeans with her cards strapped to her belt.

"Wouldn't think of it. So, Renamon sensed the Digimon too?" Renamon's fur stood on edge.

"This is no Digimon. It's more.... sinister." Renamon replied, viewing her surroundings.

"Well I hope it gets here soon, so we can go home and go back too bed!" Rika yelled, crossing her arms. `Someone's not a morning person....' Takato thought, with a smile.

Just then, they heard another familiar voice. "You guys weren't going to fight evil without us now were you?"

Rika and Takato turned to face Henry, whom had just ridden in on his bike. Terriermon stood on Henry's shoulder. He also wore his favorite clothes, (orange vest, and navy blue shirt) cards packed in all his pockets. Rika and Takato looked at each other and smiled.

"Us?" Takato pointed to himself and Rika. Rika quickly added, "We would never!"

The three Tamers looked at each other then laughed. Even Renamon and Terriermon joined in the craze. Guilmon looked around, completely confused. Then, sensing an evil presence, Guilmon growled. Renamon and Terriermon's fur began to stand on end.

"What's going on?" Rika asked, a little scared.

"It's coming!" Renamon replied, directing her attention toward the lake.

Suddenly, an explosion of water appeared in the once calm waters. A roar, heard throughout the town, echoed as an enormous monster appeared from the water depths. It hissed once, licking the air. It turned to the Tamers. Takato looked up then sighed.

"I hate it when Kazu's right...."
