"I don't know if I should ask him renamon what if he says no?" Rika was walking home from school and renamon was in the trees following her.

"You have known michael for a while now what gives you the idea that he will say no to you?" Renamon said while jumping from tree to tree.

"I don't know I am just afraid of getting rejected or something." Rika stopped walking looked in the pond. "I don't want to feel hurt again."

Renamon stopped and looked at her partner and jumped down next to her. "I have a good feeling that he will say yes but I have another feeling that there is more then you wanting to be friends with him." Renamon smirked at rika and rika just started to blush.

"What are you talking about?" Rika was trying not to stutter the words.

"You know what I am talking about you want to be more then friends with michael you cant hide things from me rika we are partners we know everything about each other." Renamon had defeated rika and all rika could do is laugh a little.

"Yeah your right I do want to be more then friends with michael but I don't see that happening." She sighed.

"All I can say you should at least try if he does say no I mean michael try his hardest not to hurt you but what happens if he says yes then I could see two happy people." Renamon told her thinking of guilmon as she said this. Rika just listened to what renamon was telling her absorbing it all.

"You are right I will try at the dance though." Rika said that but then she started to smile. "Speaking of not keeping of anything from one I have had this notion that you have had some fun with goggleheads digimon." Now it was renamons turn to blush but then she started to smile.

"Well we had lots of fun I will explain it to you how it went and I will include details." Rika turned real red and her eyes flew open.

"That's ok renamon I better get going." Rika started to run to her house while she heard renamon laugh then felt her disappear. She finally came to her house and ran to it and took off her shoes and went to her room. She shut the door and put her backpack down and laid down on her sleeping bag. `I need a dress.'

Rika got back up and went to the kitchen to find her mother and she was dreading it to. "Mom can I ask you a question?"

"Sure honey what is it?" Rumiko turned around and faced her daughter.

`Here it goes.' "Well there is a dance in a couple of days and I kind of need a dress and I was wondering if you could help me get one?" Rika looked at the ground.

Rumiko's eyes grew wide and so did her smile. "Of course I will dear you said in a couple of days well we better go now and find one for you." She went to find her keys. Rika just shook her head and smiled but then turned head towards the door cause she heard a knock. She walked to it and opened it.

"Hey videl what's up where is everyone?" Rika asked looking around to see if the others were around.

"Gohan and Michael went to do something they said to set something up I don't know but I came over here cause I got bored." Videl explained.

"Rika honey who is it?" Her mom asked.

"It is a friend mom can she come with us?" Rika asked.

"Sure honey just go wait in the car." She was running around trying to find her purse.

"Were do you have to go?" Videl asked walking to the car with rika.

"I have to go buy a dress for the school dance in a couple of days and my mom is going to help me cause I do not know what to do about dresses cause I really don't like them." They got into the car rika sitting in the front and videl behind her.

"I can't stand them either." Videl said shaking her head in agreement.

"Maybe if you want we can get you some new clothes instead of you wearing mine if you want that is." Rika said sitting back in the chair.

"That would be great but would your mom want to spend money on clothes for me?" With that said rika started to laugh.

"My mom if she could she would by clothes for everyone on the planet." Rika looked out of the window to see her mom finally coming. She got in and turned on the car and took off.

"Mom can we get a few things for videl here?" Rika asked.

"Sure honey so what kind of things would you be looking for videl?" Rumiko asked turning a corner.

"I don't know really just something simple but if it isn't any trouble a hair cut." Videl said twiddling her fingers.

"That's no problem whatever you want." Rumiko said. It was now silent and both rika and videl was just staring out the windows. "So Rika who are you taking to the dance?"

That took rika off guard she didn't know if she should just say if she didn't want to go with anyone but she didn't want to lie. "I was thinking of asking Michael."

"Wasn't he the one at the photo shot that one day?" Her mom asked.

"Yeah." She looked away from her mom.

"I am happy for you rika." Rumiko said.

"Really?" Rika asked confused.

"Yes I am. During the photo shoot I notice that you were not enjoying all the lights flashing and it look like it was scaring you. I was about to tell him to stop but I heard michael tell him to stop first I looked over to see that michael had the most concern face on him seeing you getting scared out there. When the photographer wouldn't listen I saw something in michaels eyes that made me consider that when you are with him that I don't have to worry for your safety cause I know that he will protect you."

Rika was speechless she didn't know what to say. Everything that her mom said just made her really happy. "Thank you so much for telling me mom and I was thinking of asking him out."

"You two would make a good couple." Videl said.

"Well then if you are going to do that we have to make you so beautiful that it will knock michael out of his shoes." Rumiko said with a smile.

(3 hours later)

"So this little show we are going to put on for the everyone should give them a little bit of a moral boost but how." Gohan was confused.

"Well they have been under a lot of stress lately with all the digimon attacks that have been happening lately so I was thinking us two fighting showing them a good martial arts fight it would give them something to cheer about." Michael and Gohan were at the cave sitting down. Michael had renamon go tell everyone to meet them at the hideout.

"So I can beat you into a pulp for fun I guess it will be kind of interesting." Gohan says smirking at michael.

"Who says that I am going to let you do that?" Michael smirks back and they both start to laugh but are interrupted when they here a voice.

"What is so funny?" Rika asks standing in the doorway with videl who got her haircut and it now was a lot shorter.

"None of your concern little girl." Michael smiles at her.

"Fine then be like that then and I was wondering why renamon came and told us to meet you guys here?" Rika was staring at michael with a serious look but michael was unfazed by it.

"You will find out soon enough but till then you will have to wait." Michael said. Rika looked at him with a glare but soon shrugged it off and decided to wait.

"Wow videl you look real nice with hair cut like that." Gohan said smiling at her and making her turn a little red.

"Thanks gohan." She said. Both the girls walked to the guys and sat next to them. Rika was a little tired so she put her head down on michaels shoulders and he wrapped his arm around her waist. To rika michael was the only one that could ever grab her like that. Videl noticed that this would be a good time for rika to ask michael to the dance so she had to get gohan out of here.

"Hey gohan could you come with me I though I saw something in the park on the way here?" Videl looked at him.

"Sure videl." Gohan stood up and helped up videl and they started to walk when videl turned to rika and winked at her. Rika seeing this smiled and just waited when they left. They just sat there for a couple minutes just enjoying the quiet for a while.

"How was your say?" Michael asked

"It was ok I guess." Rika sighed a little.

"What's wrong?" Michael got a little concerned.

"It is just that those stupid girls pissed me off at school again and I felt like beating to a pulp." Rika got angry just explaining it.

Michael looked at her and asked, "what did they do this time?"

Rika hesitated for a second but then started to explain. "Well they said that I couldn't get a guy to go with me to the dance that is coming up in a few days and if I did I probably paid him or something." Rika had some hurt in her voice when she said the last part.

"Well what are you going to do to prove them wrong?" Michael kept comforted her by rubbing her back.

"Well I don't have one plan." Rika turned a bit red.

"What is it?" Michael is wanting to know.

"Michael would you go to my school dance with me please." Rika turns around so she can't look at his eyes.

Michael smiles and reaches his hand up to cup her chin and to move her face to look at him. "I would love to go to the dance with you." Rika smiles really big and she wraps her arms around his neck around his neck and hugs him hard. Michael chuckles a it and starts to hug her back. They break the hug but don't let go of each other but just stares at each other and at the moment time seemed to stop.

"Rika…"Michael whispered.

"Michael…"Rika did the same thing.

They started to lean closer to each other each of them feeling their breath hit their face. Closer and closer they got almost to their destination their lips were just about to touch when they heard a voice and they broke apart.

"Hey anyone in here?" It was Kazu.

"Yes were in here." Michael said in a real annoyed voice. Everyone finally showed up. Michael and gohan explained what they were doing they wanted to see which is stronger so they are going to have a sparring match and they are there to watch and enjoy. They found a real secluded area to do this to.

"So we finally get to see who is the better saiyan in these here parts." Michael said in a southern accent.

Gohan just laughed and said, "Yeah and I already know who one but I am not going to say." Michael just raised an eyebrow and just stared at him wondering what he was thinking.

"You can do it michael I know you can." Rika said.

Michael turns around and smiles at her. "Thanks I will try my hardest." Everyone just looks at him like he just went crazy. Michael looks at everyone and wonders why they are staring at him. "What?"

"Who were you talking to no one said anything." Takato said.

"What? I swear I heard rika just wish me luck." Michael was now confused and he looked over to rika and rika didn't have anything to say and she just shook her head.

`How could he of done that I just said that in my head.' Rika was now confused.

"May we start now?" Gohan asked.

"Of course." Michael smirks at him.

Michael starts to breath hard he starts to yell the ground around them starts to shake making everyone but gohan loose balance. Then there is a big gust of wind and michael goes super saiyan.

"Impressive power you actually surprised me michael but I guess I should stop talking cause I am going to show you what a level beyond a super saiyan is." Michael looked at him like he was crazy.

`There is a level beyond super saiyan?' He asked himself.

Gohan started to yell then there was a shock wave kicking dirt everywhere. Gohans body was shaking from the energy building up and with all the energy he started to lift up big rocks from the ground. His eyes had turned green and the golden aurora was surrounding his body but his hair hadn't changed gold yet. Michael felt all the power that gohan was emitting and his eyes were wide, never in his life has he felt such power. Videl stared at gohan with confusion and excitement at the same time she wanted know everything about gohan and were he go these powers from. Gohans hair flashes gold for a second then back to black then it flashes gold again and stays like it. There is something weird about it though its longer then usual. With one big yell he unleashes a huge amount of energy making everyone cover his or her eyes. When they finally opened them they all looked over to gohan and to see his hair had grown a bit and he was creating lighting with all the energy it was surrounding his body.

"Sorry it took so long but it has been a long time since I have gone in this form." Gohan said stretching out his muscles that have grown out to.

"No problem but I have a question. How did it happen?" Michael never knew of anything like it.

"Well let me just say I have a power hidden within me that brought this level out." Michael just shook his head and got into a fighting stance.

"Lets do this." He says.

Gohan smiles and does the same thing. They stared at each other for the longest time and didn't move a muscle. Gohan smirked and disappeared to leave michael searching for him but before he could find his ki signature he felt his foot collide with his head. Michael is sent flying into the dirt and is trying to recover from the blow but gohan grabs him by the head and drags his head through the ground some more. Michael finally gets free and jumps from he brings his hand up to his lips to wipe some blood away. He jumps at gohan trying to punch and kick him but gohan just kept on dodging but with little difficult.

`For a just a regular super saiyan he sure is giving me my run for the money.' Gohan thought dodging the blows. Michael was trying his hardest to at least lay one punch down but he couldn't gohan was just to fast. Gohan felt that michael was loosing power quickly and knew it wasn't going to be long. "Come on now I haven't even broke a sweat yet."

Michael was getting anxious to hit him at least once. He stopped and he was breathing hard and was just staring at gohan. `I must hit him once he isn't that fast there has to be a way.'

"You are just way to slow." Gohan said but that was his mistake. Michael started to shake and then he yelled. A surge of power went through him and it was enough to take gohan off guard. Gohan felt a fist go into his gut making him loose his breath. But as fast the power came it was gone. "Ok you are faster then I thought."

"I don't know how that happened." Michael said looking at his hands.

"Time to end this." Gohan flew to michael and started to punch and kick him. Michael couldn't block them and was getting hit everywhere and it hurt badly.

"Michael." Rika said to herself.

"Gohan what are you doing?" Videl was also talking to herself. Gohan hit michael to the ground injuring him badly but michael was not about to give up. He slowly started to stand and this went notice by gohan and he flew down and punched him right in the gut and making him cough up blood.

"MICHAEL!" Rika yelled out and started to run towards him. "THAT'S ENOUGH GOHAN!

Gohan went out of super saiyan and looked at michael and his jaw dropped. "Michael I didn't mean to I lost control and I am so sorry please forgive me." Michael was bleeding from his head.

"I have had worse." Rika ran next to michaels side and propped his head in her lap.

"Are you ok?" She asked she had a few tears going down her cheeks.

"Yeah I am fine it is just a cut it is nothing. What is with the water works?" He brought his hand up to her face and wiped off the tears.

"I saw my date to the dance about to get flushed down the toilet." Rika said with a smiled. Michael just laughed and it hurt to laugh to. Gohan grabbed some kind of bag out of his pocket and grabbed a bean from it. He gave it to michael to eat.

"What is it?" Michael asked looking at the bean.

"It is called a senzu bean it will help you trust me." Gohan handed it to michael and he ate it and soon as he swallowed it he felt like a new person. His whole body was healed and he could stand up. All the others came over to see if michael was all right. Gohan looked around for videl but could not find her. "Guys were did videl go?"

"She left I don't know were actually but she looked mad and but before I could say anything to stop her she was gone but before she left I notice she was crying." It was Jeri who told them this and gohan just felt terrible. "I better go find her."

"No I will you are the last person she wants to see right now." Michael said standing up. Gohan just lowered his eyes and shook his head with agreement. "Well guys we can see who the strongest it for right now but yeah you all can go home now if you want we are done now." Michael said before taking off. "Henry and Takato I will be seeing you two later cause I am going to need your help with something." Takato and henry looked at him weird but they just shook their heads.

Gohan searched for videl but when he spotted her she was sitting on a bench staring at the clouds. Michael landed near her and just looked at her from were he was she had some much pain in her eyes. "Hey." He said walking up from behind her and sitting down next to her.

"You are ok?" She was a bit confused but she got over it.

"Yeah what about you?" He was looking at the clouds to.

"It is funny that all the people I meet are so violent." Videl said.

"You are wrong if you are talking about gohan." He said turns his to look at her. "Gohan is a very peaceful person if you were to know what his heritage was then you would understand why he lost control back there." Michael turned back around to face to the clouds.

"What do you mean?" Videl was so sad she didn't want to loose gohan as a friend, he was so kind to her unlike anyone else. "I am just scared to loose gohan as my friend that's all." When she said that michael laughed a little bit and videl got mad. "What is so funny?"

"I am sorry it is just that gohan will never stop being friends with you. Anyway you want to be his to bad to let that happen so you don't have to worry." Michael said.

Videl smiled and just let out a sigh of relief. "Your right gohan actually was there when no one else wasn't so I do want to be his friend badly."

"So when we go back you will let gohan apologize to you." Michael stood up and put his hand out.

"Yes I will." Videl grabbed his hand and was lifted up.

"Well then we shall go then and stop letting them wait and plus I have to find a tuxedo for the dance." Videl smiled at what he said.

"I know you do." He looks at her not knowing that she knew but just smiled. Gohan picks her up and takes off into the sky. As they were flying videl thought of something to ask michael. "Michael do you like rika?"

Michael caught off guard by the question looses balance in the air for a second. "Why do you ask?"

"I am just wondering they way you two talk to each other and they way you hold her." She was explaining and each time she would say something he would turn red.

"I am that obvious?" He asked.

"Very but that's ok I mean you two look good together." Videl smiled at him.

"Really you think so I mean I don't know if rika likes me back." Michael was worried that she didn't.

"Well all you need to do is ask but I got perfect time to ask and that is at the dance." Michael thought about this and smiled.

"That is a perfect time to ask." He just smiled some more and they just flew the rest of the way there in silence.

They finally got there and they saw gohan sitting at the lake trying to skip rocks. "Go, He needs a friend." Gohan pushes her a little.

"Thank you for everything michael." Michael just smiled and took off towards takato and henry. Videl walked towards gohan and just looked at him he seemed so sad.

"It is all in the wrist." She picked up a rock and skipped it.

Gohan turned around and looked at her and smiled. "Videl…"He couldn't think of anything to say. Videl walked over to him and sat down next to him. "Videl I am so sorry for what you saw me do I didn't mean to loose control."

"It's ok gohan I know you didn't mean to do it cause of your heritage something about that michael told me but you have to tell me about it but not now let us enjoy the sunset." Gohan looked at her and smiled at her and turned back around and looked at the sun. Videl smiled to and looked at the sun but then she felt a hand on hers and looked down to see gohan had put his hand on hers. In her head she jumped for joy and her heart cried out in joy. She grasped his hand in hers and they both just looked at the sun holding hands.

"I can't belief this is happening I am actually going through with it." Rika said to herself. It has been two days since the fight and it was the night of the dance. Rika's mom took the day off to get rika ready for her big dance she was giving her a whole body makeover. Videl also tagged along for the ride. They got the works from a manicure to body massage well to say at least rika was not complaining. During the massage they all were talking about tonight.

"So dear what are you going to do about michael?" Rumiko asked.

"Well I am going to tell him that I do like him but I don't know if he feels the same way." Rika was so concerned about that part.

"I wouldn't worry if I were you." Videl said.

"Why?" Rika asked.

"Let me just say that michael and I had a talk." Videl smiled to herself.

Rika raised an eyebrow curious on what they talked about. "Oh really may I ask about what then?"

"You will find out." Videl said.

(Hours later)

Michael had reached her house wearing a black tuxedo with black dress shoes to. His hair was just touching his shoulders he had put cologne on to smell nice to. Rika's grandma opened the door.

"Ah michael you have made it is nice to see you and my you are a handsome young man." She moved out of the way to let him in.

"Thank you." He walked in and waited for rika.

"Michael you are finally here good I wanted to talk to you before rika came down." It was rumiko.

Michael looked at her and smiled. "What may I do for you." Rumiko looked at him and started to explain a few things. "Michael the only reason I like you is because I haven't seen rika this happy in years my little girl is happy because of you. I am so happy to see her smile again I missed my daughter. Michael the looked you had at the photo shoot told me that you would never let anything happen to my daughter so that is why I am letting you keep her out as long as she wants cause I really trust you it is her special night." Rumiko has tears of joy in her eye cause her daughter is growing up.

"Thank you for giving me your trust and you are right I would die for rika if it came down to it." Michael said with nothing but truth behind his voice.

"Hopefully I won't ever come down to that." Rika said from the stairs. Everybody looked up and michaels jaw just dropped to see how beautiful rika was. Rika was wearing a red dress that split to show her leg and it had skinny straps to hold it up. It showed some cleavage but not a lot her hair was down and it went past her shoulders almost to the middle of her back.

"Wow…rika you are very beautiful." Michael could hardly speak.

Rika blushed hard, "thank you michael you look good yourself." She walked down the stairs to him.

"So you ready to go make people jealous?" Michael was smiling.

"I am ready." Rika smiled to. Michael held out his arm and rika looped hers through his so he could escort her.

"Wait a minute." Rika's mom called out she came out with a camera and took a picture of them and with that done they left. "Mom my baby girl isn't a baby anymore." Rumiko started to cry with happiness.

Michael was flying them there but he had an energy barrier around them to protect them from the wind. "Michael thank you for taking me to the dance." She smiled at him.

"Anything for you." He said and smiled back at her. They landed a short distance away from the school making sure no one would see them and started to walk hand and hand. They saw the entrance and rikas heart started to beat faster and she started to breath a little harder the closer they got. Michael noticed this and wrapped his arm around her waist and brought her closer to him and she looked at him and he smiled down. That made rika calm right down and she just smiled back.

They walked into the school and all the staring had started and well michael and rika didn't pay any attention to it. Rika saw all the girls with envious faces on and they were all glaring at her. All rika could is smile at what she had claimed. Same thing was happening to michael and he was smiling at the same thing. They had found a table to sit at. Michael pulled out the chair for rika to sit in and he took his seat next to him.

Rika and michael were talking and laughing they were having a good time. Rika turned and saw her enemy coming there way and she didn't want anything to do with her right now. "Well nonaka I can't belief you actually got a guy to come with you how much did you bribe him." Melissa said.

"I don't want to do anything today melissa I am trying to enjoy my night so go." Rika said and michael just looked at melissa shaking his head in disgust.

"What are you looking at cutie you like what you see? Well how about you come with me whatever she is paying you I can double." Rika was on the verge of tears and she was so outraged what she was saying she was ruining her night.

Rika was about to say something when michael spoke up. "That's ok I like being with real girls." Michael said looking at rika and smiled and took her hand in his and rubbed his thumb across her hand to calm her down.

"What do you mean by real girls I am the best they can get." Melissa said.

"Really I thought with all that plastic surgery you have turned into a plastic doll or something and these must be your friends that play dress up with you." Michael said really annoyed with her. "Rika here much more women then you could ever be in your life you whore so leave us and leave rika alone." Michael said in a harsh tone.

"You bitch this won't be the last time you see me." Melissa started to walk away.

"Thanks for the warning." Michael yelled out to her. He looked at rika whose mouth was hanging open in shock.

"Why did you do that you didn't have to." Rika said looking at him.

"Yes I did you are way better then those girls and plus no one talks to my date like that." Michael smiles at her and rika just smiles back and hugs him. A slow song started and everybody got to the floor and started to dance. Michael got up and put his hand out, "may I have this dance." Rika smiled and grabbed his hand and he pulls her up out of the chair and the walk to the center of the floor. Michael wraps his hands around her waist while rika wraps hers around his neck and slowly started to dance.

Rika and michael were just smiling at each other during the song rika got closer and rested her head on his chest and listened to his heart beat. Michael wrapped his hands around her waist some more and put his head on hers and took a deep taking her scent in. She didn't want this moment to never end but it was reality and the song had ended and everyone was moving from the floor except for those two. Rika looked up at michael and michael down to rika.

"Michael I want to tell you something." She has hesitation in her voice. Michael starts to rub her back to calm her down.

"I need to tell you something to." He says.

Rika goes first, "I…I lo…"there is a loud explosion and the roof of the building starts to collapse on everyone but michael quickly flies up to it and captures it before it fell.

"Rika get everyone out of here!" He yells down to her. Rika listens and starts to get everyone out.

"Renamon!" She shouts out and renamon is there behind her. "Help michael." Renamon nods her head and looks up at michael who is struggling with the roof of the building. Someone goes by and says to rika, "wow rika that is some boyfriend you have." Renamon couldn't but smile at the comment. Renamon digivolved to taomon and used one of her spells to push all the debris out of the rest of the building. The school was completely destroyed.

"What was that?" Michael asked to no one really. Taomon and rika just shrugged their shoulders. Then they heard the most evil laugh and it was appearing above them. They all looked and taomon just gasps at who she sees. It was a digimon a very powerful one to put into words.

"Myotismon." Taomon said.

"Well it seems that I even am known in the human world what an honor." Myotismon says.

"Enjoy while you can cause you won't be here much longer to explore it." Michael says going super.

"Big words for such a weakling." Myotismon says. Michael flies up to him and starts to punch at him but myotismon just dodged all of the hits and flew higher into the air. Taomon went after him using her spells to put him down but myotismon was really powerful he had powers like a mega but he was only a ultimate.

"You are to weak to face me little man give up now." Myotismon said.

"Never!" Michael yelled to him going at him again. Myotismon got tired of this and used his crimson lighting to wrap around michaels body and started to swing him around in circles. First he slammed him to the ground head first breaking the ground underneath him and then he swung him into a building. Let's just say that michael was getting a pretty bad beating. Taomon was trying her best to stop him but he was to powerful every time she gets close he blow her back. Myotismon picked michael up by his torn shirt.

"It is time to end you right now." He said pulling back to blast him with his darkness wing. He was real close to do it until he was kicked in the head and was sent flying to the ground. Michael looked to see gohan was there and he was ssj2 mode.

"What took you so long?" Michael was smiling at him.

"Sorry had to use the bathroom." Gohan smirked.

"Rika!" Rika turned around to see videl running towards her. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah I am fine." Rika said to her but she didn't seem fine.

"You foolish humans you can't beat me I am unstoppable." Myotismon says flying back into the air.

"We will see about that." Gohan says and flies at him with michael behind him. Gohan was there only chance right now but the looks of it he wasn't doing to well either every time gohan do attack he just reflect it. "This guy is good." Gohan watches as michael gets hit and flies to the ground. Before gohan could do anything myotismon catches him off guard and hits him with his darkness wing attack sending him to the ground inuring him.

"Gohan are you ok." Videl is worried and runs over to him.

"Yeah he just caught me off guard but worry about michael." Gohan points over to michael. He gets up but he can barely stand. Gohan goes back and tries to fight this guy.

"Sorry we are late." The others finally show with rapidmon and wargrowlmon. They watch all of them fight this monster but they cant seem to hurt him an anyway.

--What's the point anymore?-- Michael looks over to rika to see her looking at the destroyed school. -It is all ruined my night it has been ruined by a digimon.-- Michael looked like he was about to cry for her but he kept it in. -All I wanted to do is spend time with michael and this happens I can't belief it I have fallen in love with him and I will never get to tell him everything always happen to me when will there ever be a good thing.-- Michael looks at her and she is crying.

"Michael are you ok?" It was takato but he backs when he sees michael. He was shaking and he was gritting his teeth. Takato could here him growling and boy was michael pissed.
