It has been two weeks since the dance and the attack from mytoismon. Rika and Michael have been inseparable since rika's school was destroyed she has the rest of the year off school until they can rebuild it. Gohan and Videl have become closer friends of the weeks and they pretty much spend most of the time together as well he even taught her how to fly. The other tamers are just doing what they usually did so they hadn't really changed.

Rika and Michael were at the hideout rika in Michaels lap and both of them having a make out session. Rika breaks the kiss and looks at him telling herself how lucky she got to have someone like Michael as her boyfriend. "My mom wants you to come over for dinner again." Rika said and Michael just laughed at it.

"What is the point on telling me this your mom always wants me over for dinner I should just move in." Michael thinking on what he just said thought that wouldn't be a bad idea. Rika thinking the same thing but both of them through the idea away cause her mom would never allow it.

"So what do you want to do today?" Rika asked putting her head down on his shoulder.

"I don't know what do you want to do?" Michael didn't have any ideas he just liked what they were doing a few minutes ago. `I actually could think of a few things to do right now that involves tearing your clothes off…'Rika hits him in the arm.

"I heard that you pervert and besides you are going to wait a little bit for that to come." Rika said and he heard Michael groan a little and she just smiled a little bit she went up to his ear and whispered, "but not that long." "Videl why don't you like your dad so much?" Gohan and videl were in the park sitting on a bench watching the pond and all the wildlife around it. "That's ok I want to tell you cause I haven't told anyone this." Videl had some sorrow in her eyes and gohan noticed this but he just kept to himself but he scooted a little closer to her. "You see when my dad supposedly defeated cell he just changed after that he just pushed me and my mom out of his life pretty much showing off and going to parties all the time." Videl was getting angry at what she was saying but it dropped to pure sadness all of a sudden. "Then it happened my mom died in a car accident a year exactly one year after the cell games. I have never felt so much loss in my life before and I have never cried so much in my life. The thing that got me the most though is that my father didn't even show up for the funeral he said that he more important things to intend to." She busted out crying.

What gohan just heard almost made him lose control of his anger for what videl just told him about her dad. He stopped himself though seeing videl cry made him want to start crying her face wasn't supposed to be looking like this. Gohan wrapped his arms around videl and pulled her into a hug and she didn't even refuse it she wrapped her arms around him and pushed against his chest as hard as she could crying her eyes out. "What!" She was kind of mad that he would say something like this but looking in his eyes made her realize that he was telling the truth. "If he didn't do it who did?"

"You remember that kid at the games?" He asked her and she just shook her head. "Well he was the one who destroyed cell." Saying this made videls jaw just drop.

"Who was the little boy?" Videl asked wanting to know.

"You are looking at him." Gohan was staring at the ground and videl was just looking at him with surprise in her face but then it softened. She picked his arm up and put it over her and she laid her head down on his chest and now it was gohans turn to be confused.

"I belief you and I am glad that you did cause I knew my father didn't do it I just had this gut feeling." Gohan looked at her and smiled. "The guy who fought cell before you though who was that?" Gohan felt like a thousands daggers pierced his body when she asked that but he was going to tell her.

"That was my dad. He wanted to test out cells strength to see hw powerful he really was when he knew that he couldn't defeat him he quit and then he told me to fight knowing that I had a hidden power within me to beat him. During the fight cell kicked me around pretty badly at first but after I told him about my power he wanted to see it so released copies of him to attack everyone else. Then after he killed someone that was very peaceful and did it right in front of me I lost it and that is when I ascended past everyone else. During the fight it was clear that I was much more powerful then cell and that he couldn't win. Realizing this he didn't want to go down without taking everything out with him so he was going to blow himself up taking out everyone and the whole planet with him. My dad the most peaceful person you would ever meet not even thinking twice about the manner transported him and cell off the planet killing him and blowing up the planet that he went to. Cell didn't die though he came back and after a fierce fight I finally beat him."

Videl was so sad for gohan he lost his dad in a fight but then thinking of what happened she got furious and stood up and started to pace back and fourth. "How dare he do that he is such a heartless bastard for doing that to you and your family." Videl was on the verge of anger tears she was pissed off at her dad.

"Videl what's wrong?" Gohan stood up and took her by the shoulders and stopped her from pacing anymore.

"My dad took all your credit and saying that he defeated cell and taking all the glory that was rightfully yours and then I find out that your dad died trying to beat cell and protect this planet." Videl punched wishing that her dad was there.

"It is ok actually I don't like the fame and that is why all of my family lives so far into the mountains but it does get me a little mad when he talks about it and remembering my dad giving his life for the planet and him."

"Gohan please promise me you will never change from being the kindest person I have ever met in my life." Videl walks into him and he just wraps his arms around her.

"I promise." He says and rocks them both left to right for no apparent reason.

"You will still be my friend when we get back to our world right?" Videl concerned about this.

"Of course I will what gave you the idea that I wouldn't?" Gohan was really confused on why she said that.

"I don't know I was just afraid that you would forget about me." She said relieved that he wouldn't.

"I will never forget about you videl and I will always be there for you whenever you need me." Gohan tells her and hugs her a little harder. Videl liking this lets him and she pushes herself more into as well.

Later that day everyone got together to have a picnic and play some games and just have plain fun for once. The guys played football while the girls were having conversations about random things. Then the topic of boys came up.

"So how are you and Michael doing?" Jeri asks hinting to her to use the good parts to.

"We are doing real good we pretty much see each other the whole time except for a night when I have to go home. The only thing pretty much do is making out and boy what a kisser he is." "Haven't you two started to go out yet?" Jeri asked.

"You can't tell me that you don't like him." Rika said.

"Yeah I do but I don't want to loose what I got right now I have never had a best friend before so I want to keep it at that for right now." Videl lowers her head and then picks it back up and sees the other two just shaking their heads. They were not going to press the subject any further then it had to go.

"I have been thinking to take it up a step further with Michael." Rika just blurts out to the others making videl spit out her pop and Jeri drop her jaw.

"Really what brought on the sudden thought?" Jeri wanted to know.

"I really love him and I can feel that he really loves me and I would do anything in the world for Michael and well it came to me last night when I was going to bed I thought about it all night." Rika was twiddling with her fingers.

"Wow I have to say this is sudden but Michael is a really good person and everything that he has been through in the past and stuff he deserves a little fun." Videl nudging rikas shoulder playfully. All of them laugh and rika in her mind just thinks it through some more.

He opens them and looks around he sees that the guys started to play again and then he looks over to the girls and sees rika. "I would rather die then force rika I am leaving before I do anything stupid." Before gohan can stop him Michael gets up and takes off quickly to the sky. Everyone watches as Michael disappears and they are all confused. Rika with the others runs up to gohan.

"What's wrong with Michael why did he leave?" Rika was real concerned she couldn't get through to him with their link. Gohan just looks at her and just shakes his head wondering of he should tell her. "Gohan tell me." Rika is now demanding to know what is wrong with her boyfriend.

"Come with me we don't have much time." Gohan picks her up and takes off into the sky heading towards her house. On the way gohan explains everything to her and all of this said makes rika want to start to cry. Gohan just looks at her with sadness. "The reason he left is cause he would rather die then force you to do it." Rika looks at him then looks back in front of her.

`Even when he is going through this he is protecting me even from himself he is protecting me. Well it's time I help him for once.' They arrive at her house. "Gohan wait here you are going to take me to Michael but I have to grab a few things.

"But rika." Gohan says but is interrupted by her.

Rika flies to her room almost knocking her mom down and starts to gather things for the night to come. "Rika?" Her mom calls to her but she doesn't answer so she comes into her room.

"Mom I am not going to be returning tonight." Rika said and Rumiko looked at her like she was crazy.

"May I ask why?" She was tapping her foot on the ground. Rika looks at her with some tears in her eyes and that makes her mom start looking at her with concern.

"Mom Michael needs my help and I have to help him because I love him to much not to." Rika said and smiled at her. Rumiko saw that her daughter was telling the truth and smiled at her for devoting herself to Michael.

"Hold on a second and I will grab you something." Rika smiled at her and went back to packing her pillows and blankets. Rika's mom comes back and she hands her a pill and some water rika looks at her mom wanting to know how she knew what she was going to do. "I am your mother I am suppose to know these things. My little girl has grown up into a beautiful young woman." Rika smiled at her mom and took the pill and then hugged her.

"I love you mom and thank you for believing me. I really have found the person I love mom I just know that we will stay with each other for the rest of our lives." Rika said before walking out of her room.

"I know you have honey." Rumiko sat on rika's bed and looked at a picture of rika when she was young.

"Gohan lets go." She said and gohan grabbed her and took off while she held on to her stuff. Gohan was having trouble looking for Michael's ki signature. Rika saw the concern in gohans face. "What's wrong?"

"I can't since Michael his ki signature is to low for me to sense I think he is doing it on purpose to make sure no one finds him." Gohan told her with concern in his voice.

Rika was scared now she didn't want Michael to die at all but then something came to her it might not work but it is worth a shot. She put her hands on his forehead and concentrated on Michael. "What ar…"Gohan was going to ask what she was doing but something came to him and he could feel Michaels ki signature really good now. "How did you do that?" Gohan was now flying towards Michael's energy.

"I don't know exactly but the connection between me and Michael is real strong I thought if I were to some how channel that connection through you then you could sense Michael." Gohan was astonished not even he thought of doing that. He took off at full speed trying to get to Michael.
