Squall kept glancing sideways to look at his brother, Van. He had never seen Van so depressed in his life. They were originally go in separate cars but Squall decided that it was better that Van was in the same car. The reason was partially because he was worried about Van and partially because Squall didn't have to do the deed with Rinoa. He knew Rinoa would be angry with him but if he knew if he used his charm and wit he would win her over.

Squall pulled the car over at the Angelheart's driveway. "I'll be back in a minute. I just have to go and pick up Rinoa."

Van shrugged. Squall hesitantly got out the car. He felt compelled to say something to Van but he knew that it would just upset him more. He walked over to door and rung the doorbell. A minute or two later the door opened. Squall was to busy looking at his brother to notice until he heard a voice.

"Hello," Garnet said. Squall turned at the sound of the voice. His expression changed slightly but he quickly got back his form.

"Garnet…" He stuttered.

"That's me," she smiled. "Rinoa hurry up, Squall's here," She yelled. Squall wanted to laugh but instead he smiled.

"You know my name," he said puzzled.

"Of course I do, Rinoa doesn't stop talking about you and I've seen you at the house loads of time," Garnet replied.

"How come I've never seen you around?" Squall asked.

"I'm usually studying or I'm at the library, or I'm at my singing lessons or..." she laughed. "I'm a real bore."

"No, your interesting," Squall said hesitantly. Rinoa appeared.

"Hi gorgeous," Rinoa giggled. She kissed his cheek.

"You look nice," Squall said. He then looked at Garnet. "You look nice to Garnet."

"Thanks," Garnet said quietly.

"Well we better get going," She looked at Garnet. "G, is Link picking you up or do you want a lift?"

"It's ok, Tifa's taking me," Garnet replied.

"Okay, see you there," Rinoa said and then she left with Squall. As Rinoa got to the car she saw Van. "What's he doing with you?"

"He's my brother," Squall replied and with that Rinoa just gave him a look and got in.

Quatre looked at his brother Zechs as he drove the car. Zechs had been in a bad mood all week and the week just got worse when Serena's date turned out to be Goten. He remembered the way Zechs eyes rose in shock. And here Zechs was silently driving. His date Zelda seemed concerned. Zechs knew he couldn't stop Serena from going with Goten. So he let things be. Zechs then parked the car and got out the car and went into the dance with Zelda.

"I'm sorry," Zechs said looking at Zelda.

"It's ok, you've got a lot on your mind," She watched him eye Goten and Serena. She giggled. Zechs looked at her confused. "Sometimes I'm glad I don't have any siblings."

Zechs then smiled at her. "Do you want to dance?"

"I'd love to," she replied and Zechs then took her onto the dance floor.

"Your brother doesn't seem too happy," Goten said.

"He'll get over it, I mean he's got Zelda one of the prettiest girls in school as his date," Serena giggled. "Now let me see if the prankster prince can dance." She grabbed Goten's and took him onto the dance floor.

"Amy what the hell are we doing here?" Gohan asked as danced with Amy.

"You know," Amy giggled.

"Great, I knew I shouldn't have come everyone's staring at me," Gohan whined.

"Well let them stare," Amy said.

"Why do you think they are staring?" Gohan asked.

"I don't know," Amy replied.

"I didn't know Gohan was a good dancer," Tifa whispered to herself.

"Tiff; are you obsessed with Gohan or something?" Trowa asked as he helped her twirl.

"No, what makes you say that?" Tifa replied and asked.

"Because one you haven't stopped staring at him and two you haven't stopped talking about him," Trowa replied.

"I'm sorry," Tifa said.

"Don't be," Trowa smiled. "We only came to the dance as friends."

"I know but I'm not being such great company," Tifa said. Trowa just laughed and then looked at his sister Hitomi who looked so happy in the arms of one with bestest friends.

"They make a cute couple," Tifa said.

"Yeah they do," Trowa smiled. "Where are your sisters?"

Tifa looked around and saw Rinoa trying to make Squall dance. "I take it Squall doesn't like to dance," Trowa said.

"Yeah," Tifa said. She didn't like Squall because she knew he was two- timing his sister.

"Hey don't worry. I'm sure Squall will get it one day," Trowa said.

"The other day…forget it," Tifa said and looked and smiled at Garnet who looked stunning.

"She's pretty just like her sister," Trowa said. Tifa blushed.

"Yeah but she's smart," Tifa said.

"So are you?" Trowa said. "Come on artist girl."

Tifa then found herself, staring at Gohan again. Trowa smiled and sighed. "Why don't you ask him for a dance?"

"I can't," Tifa said. Trowa laughed.

"I have an idea," Trowa said and then he told her.

Cloud slow danced with Hitomi on the dance floor. He was heaven. The night had started of with Hitomi and him dancing at arm's length from each other and now they were close as they could possibly be. She had her head resting on his shoulder. And he had hands wrapped around her petit waist.

"Hitomi, are you having a good time?" Cloud asked.

"Yeah," she replied and looked up at him and blushed. "Are you?"

"I think any guy would if he had you in their arms," Cloud replied. Hitomi blushed harder. She then rested her head back on his shoulder and continued to dance.

Van watched Hitomi dance happily with Cloud. He was upset. He then saw his brother Ryu give a thumb up to Cloud and Cloud smiled and gave a thumb up back. Ryu was dancing with Selphie. Selphie was an enthusiastic girl and according to Squall and Ryu she was easy. Sometimes Van wished he were more like his brothers. Suddenly he saw a figure walk towards him. It was Squall.

"Hey do you want to dance?" Squall asked.

"I'm not dancing with you," Van replied.

"Why not?" Squall asked.

Van laughed. Squall was a complete jerk to others but to him he was his best and closest friend. Squall then sat down next to him.

"Where's Rinoa?" Van asked. He pointed. She was dancing with another guy.

"I hope she doesn't notice that I've gone," Squall said.

Suddenly a very pretty girl came up to them. "What's your name?"

"Squall," Squall replied.

"Not you, him," She pointed at Van.

"Van," Van said.

"Do you want to dance?" she asked.

"Go for it," Squall said.

"Okay," Van said and got up and danced. Squall watched Van. He looked happier. Squall then decided to go outside and get some fresh air.

As he went he outside he suddenly heard some yelling. He went over to go and investigate.

It was Link yelling at a guy telling him to let go of Garnet. Squall rushed in and smacked the guy.

"Don't you have any manners?" Squall asked the guy. The guy whined. Squall then kicked him the stomach while he was down.

He turned to look at Garnet and Link. "Thanks," They said gratefully.

"No problem," Squall replied.

Zechs stared at Zelda. She was beautiful in her blue short dress. They were alone outside. He noticed that Zelda was getting cold and with that he took of his jacket and placed it over her shoulders. She smiled gratefully at him.

"So the swimming championship is coming up, I bet your nervous," Zelda said.

"Not really," Zechs replied. "I'm so used to it now."

"Yeah I guess. Seeing that you have one it 3 years in a row," Zelda said.

"Maybe…So what sort of stuff are you into?" Zechs asked.

"Not much. I like to read. It's much better than watching television. I also like photography. My mum takes me to nature reserves with her to take photos. The scenery is breath taking," Zelda replied.

"Sounds interesting," Zechs said.

"It is," Zelda said.

"Zelda, I don't mean to sound to forward but would you like to go on a date with me?" Zechs asked.

"Sure," Zelda replied.

"That's great," Zechs said.

Gohan and Amy danced. "I can't believe my little bro is with Serena," Gohan said uncomfortably. It was the first slow song he had danced with Amy all night.

"Yeah," Amy sighed. She was cosy in Gohan's arms.

"Can I cut in?" a voice asked.

"Oh hi, Trowa of course you can," Gohan said and winked at Amy. Amy looked shocked. She hardly ever spoke to Trowa and here he was asking for a dance. "I'll just go get a drink." Gohan then left Amy to dance with Trowa. He went over to the refreshments table to get a drink.

Thank you,Trowa, Gohan thought. He had felt so uncomfortable dancing so close to Amy. Gohan then poured some punch into a cup and drank from it. He suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder he turned around it was Tifa. He suddenly dropped his cup on the floor. Luckily none of the liquid hit anyone.

"Oops," Gohan said. Tifa laughed.

"Hi Gohan," Tifa said.

"Hi Tifa," Gohan said. "Sorry about that you just startled me."

"I'm so sorry," Tifa said.

"Don't be it was my fault," Gohan said.

"No it wasn't," Tifa said. "Um Gohan…"

"Yes Tifa," Gohan said. Suddenly she took Gohan's glasses off and gave them to him. "You look better without them on. Do you need them?"

"Not really," Gohan replied. "I only need them to look at far distances." That was a lie and Gohan knew it. He didn't need to wear glasses. He just used them to disguise himself so people didn't know that he was the great saiyan man.

"Would you like to dance?" Tifa asked.

"Sure," Gohan said. And Tifa and Gohan went to the dance floor.

TK kept glancing at Sakura. He really wanted to dance with her but he didn't bother asking her in the end and also if Rikku knew she would get angry. She was good friend of his from junior high. He then looked at Kenshin who seemed to be having a good time with Mina. He then saw Matt as miserable as he usually was. He then wondered where Cloud went.

Cloud had taken Hitomi outside. "Hitomi I've had a really good time."

"Same here," Hitomi replied snuggling in Clouds arms. Hitomi and Cloud then heard a noise. It sounded like two people making out. Cloud went to investigate when he came back Hitomi asked him what it was. He replied it was Van with some girl making out. Hitomi just laughed.

Cloud then wrapped his arms around Hitomi. Hitomi then looked at Cloud. He then stared at her and then their faces got closer and then there was a soft brush of lips. They kissed. Hitomi blushed, as did Cloud.

Gohan couldn't believe he had to leave the dance half way into a dance with Tifa. He was devastated. But when duty calls he couldn't leave it. He was in fact the great saiyan man.

Okay I know I didn't mention some characters yet but I will later. So what you think? I know it's slow. But give us some credit. And by the way which characters do you want me to get together?Some new characters will be introduced and the characters who haven't really got involved yet will get much bigger parts especially Kenshin and Quatre and others. Okay so don't worry.
