Disclaimer: I wonder… how many zillion times must I say that *takes a deep breath*… I DON'T OWN ANYTHING IN THIS FANFIC! But I can say that the character called Ran and her partner does belong to me!!!!

Like last time *sigh* the words in bold are what are the tamers are wondering by themselves and the words in italic are what I have to say.

Chapter 8: Where's Tai?

From the last chapter, I've showed up and was explaining to them about the crest of curiosity. Somehow or other, Henry knew about this crest. The continuing episode…

After Henry answered Joe, Tai and Agumon disappeared.

"Oh-oh," muttered Joe.

"Where did he go?" continued Henry.

====================== Meanwhile ===============================

At where I am, Terriermon was on my head.

"What are we going to do?" asked Terriermon.

"Face our fears and leave the past in the past," I replied, staring hard at the mansion in front of me.

"About time you came," commented a voice.

"DUH! Why else am I here?" I replied. "Puppetmon!"

Terriermon digivolved without Culumon's help. Don't ask me how.

"Terriermon matrix digivolve to… Rapidmon!"

My crest glowed a nice beige color all of a sudden.

============= Back with the others =================================

"Tai!" shouted Joe.

"Tai! Where are ya?" shouted Henry.

"Huh? Joe, Henry, what's wrong?" asked Kari and Yolei.

"Tai's missing!" shrieked Mrs. Ichijoji, rushing out of the house.

"WHAT?" went the rest but the loudest of all was Davis, Kari and T.K.

"Let's start a search party," suggested Matt.

Everyone agreed.

================ Meanwhile ====================================

"Rapid Fire!" attacked Rapidmon.

"Puppet Pummel!" rebounded Puppetmon.

Puppetmon missed. He did that a few times but same results.

How did that happen? (Me)

My crest started to glow rapidly.

"Rapidmon!" I shouted.

She understood what I meant.

"Okay. On my count, 1…2…3!" shouted Rapidmon.

"Rapid Fire!"

We fired two (or should I say four) powerful attacks and won. Rapidmon de-digivolve to Terriermon.

"Cool," we said, looking at each other.

We then walked towards the TV and came back to Gennai's house. Mr. Kamiya was there, looking very worried. Mr. Ichijoji was trying his best to comfort him.

"What's wrong?" I asked, walking towards him.

Mr. Ichijoji signaled me to go closer to him and told me (in a whisper) something happened.

Me and Terriermon right away knew what was wrong. We ran out of the house where they were sorting out who will go and look for Tai, who will stay back and where to look.

"Ran, where did you go?" questioned Kari, realizing that I was there.

"Puppetmon's mansion," I replied, catching the worried look on her face (But I know that it's about her brother, not me).

Then, silence fell.

"Since Ran is back, I think I can explain about her crest now," said Gennai, breaking the silence.

"Sure, go ahead," said Davis, rolling his eyes.

"Her crest is the Crest of Curiosity," started Gennai.

"The Crest of Curiosity?" echoed the rest.

"Yeah, I know. You haven't heard of this crest before," said Gennai.

"HEY! I thought I heard of this crest before," commented Henry.

"You did?" questioned Ryo.

"HELLO? Gennai's trying to explain something here!" I said, getting their attention.

"Yeah, sure!" said Sora, Mimi, Ken and Cody together.

"The crest of curiosity is created from the crest of Miracles, Destiny and Courage. The color that represents it is mainly beige. Somehow or other, she's connected to those without crests, and that's Takato, Henry, Rika, Ryo, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta and Suzie. Nobody obviously knows what it is for but I think that Henry knows about it, since he said that he heard `bout it before," explained Gennai.

Everyone looked at Henry, who had his eyes shut, trying to think about my crest.

"I only know that it's a little more powerful than the crest of Hope but the digimon are more afraid of Hope more," said Henry, his eyes still closed.

"Henry? How did you know so much about her crest?" asked Rika.

His response was a stare at Terriermon who just understand what that meant.

"Just call it déjá vu."

"Emm… can I continue?" I asked.

"Okay, shoot," said Matt.

"My crest is for… you could say that it's like the crest of Renewal. It can help me use the Truth Blow attack and Healing Hand attack. Somehow or other, I might or will lose power during each attack, 5% for the Truth Blow attack and around 12% for the Healing Hand attack," I explained.

"Cool," commented Davis and Ken.

"But, what are the Truth Blow and Healing Hand attack?" questioned Cody.

"Good question. Well, the Truth Blow attack helps other people or digimon know how wrong they are about something that they think or did but it rarely works with virus type digimon *sigh*. The Healing Hand attack can only be used when there is an emergency," I explained, getting a strange feeling that someone else will dissapear.

Perhaps it is just my imagination (me).

Just when I had that thought, Joe and Gomamon disappeared.

"Oh-no!" I groaned, while the others, well…

"JOE!" screamed Mimi, and then broke down crying.

I looked at her, then at Henry. He nodded as a sign of agreement of what I think. Well, we all know that Joe likes Mimi and now we know that Mimi likes Joe too. I backed up closer to the other tamers and was silent until Henry said…

"Looks like we found a new couple."

"Looks like we do," I repeated.

"What are you talking about?" asked T.K.

Our response is just a smile.

"You got to find out yourself," was our reply.

For some kind of reason, he pulled me closer to Gennai's house.

"Wassap?" I asked.

"Do you just happen to be the same Ran whom is talented in music and a martial art called teakwondo?" asked Henry.

"Yeah," I replied. "Are you the same Henry whom suck at the game of beach volleyball?"

"You could say that again," replied Henry, rolling his eyes.

"I'd rather not," was my reply.

Then, we laughed.

"Hey! We've two group members to find!" yelled Davis.

"Uh-huh. But the question is, who is the one behind this kidnapping?" continued T.K.

We looked at each other and laughed.

"What's so funny?" asked T.K.

"Well, the kidnapper is…"
