Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ A very Digi Anniversary. ❯ The Proposal ( Chapter 5 )

It seemed like years for them to be seated in the restaurant; at least for Davis it did. For tonight was going to be one of the most memorable nights of his life.

 

 

Earlier that day, Sora had given him her anniversary present; it was the supposedly out of print romance novel, Dreams by Gabriel Scott. But Davis was none too surprised that she was capable of getting a copy of it; she was a creator of miracles, at least to him she is.

 

 

But there they were; finally seated. Davis, Ken and Shawn struck up a conversation about soccer and other things, while Kari, Sora and Alicia talked shop about other things, but there conversations were cut short by the waiter wanting to take their orders. Then the whole bunch proceeded to talk until their food was delivered.

 

 

Shawn and Alicia proceeded to feed each other, and Davis looks at Sora and she says to them, “You two really love each other, don't you?”

 

 

“More and more as each minute passes.” Shawn replies, making Alicia blush deep crimson.

 

 

Davis the called over the waiter and says, “Sir, I would like to order a bottle of crystal.”

Which Sora knew Davis was celebrating something much more than their anniversary if he was ordering that particular brand of champagne.

 

 

“Dai-kun, what's up? You seem happier than usual.” Sora says to him.

 

 

“Sora, my angel, you'll know soon enough.” Davis says smiling, which left Sora more puzzled than she had ever been before, but she shook it off with a smile.

 

 

Another waiter came by and asked them if they wanted anything for dessert and then notices Davis's face, and says, “Hey, you're Mr. Davis Motomiya, aren't you?”

 

 

“Yes, that would be me.” Davis replies.

 

 

“Mr. Motomiya, you wouldn't believe it, but I've lost count of how many people that have came through here that are fans of the world famous leader of the digidestined and noodle cart tycoon. Please sir, if it's not too much trouble, would you mind saying a few words to our fellow customers?” The waiter asks.

 

 

“Sure, why not?” Davis replies.

 

 

Davis proceeded to make his way to the front of the restaurant, where a microphone stand stood; he took a hold of the microphone and began to speak to the public.

 

 

“Hey everyone, my name is Davis Motomiya, and one of the waiters here asked me to say a few words to everyone here tonight…” He pauses for a moment, then looks out into the crowd and says, “But, all I can think about is the lovely young lady my heart desires more and more each second, Sora, will you please come up here?”

 

 

Sora proceeds to make her way towards the stage, and stands facing the man that she loves with all her heart and soul.

 

 

“Yes, Dai-Kun, what is it?” She asks him.

 

 

Davis then proceeds to get down on one knee, and lock his brown eyes with her cinnamon colored eyes, and says, “Sora, I love you, and I will always love you. You are my reason for living, breathing, trying and dying. Without you, my life has no meaning and my soul no purpose. Sora, do you remember when I told you that if it takes all the money that I have and all the love in my heart to prove that I love you, I was going to do just that…”

 

 

Her eyes were full of tears as he said the next few words, “I guess what I'm trying to say is this, Sora Takenouchi, will you marry me?”

 

 

A/N: AWWW, MANNN!!! Cliffhanger!! Sorry folks, I know that was a piss-poor way to end a chapter, but just to let you know, next chapter will have the lemon scene in it.
