part one: The Message

Her hands squeezed the rag as he continued to scrub the kitchen floor and did it without complaint. She wasn't aloud to do any of that. 'Clean the house or no food!' was she was taught form her sisters and step mother.
"Open up in the name of the queen!" The messenger said knocking on the door.
Cinderjuri got up dried her hands opened the door and was handed a letter. The messenger turned and walked out as she closed the door behind her.
"Who was at the door, Cinderjuri?" Her mother asked walking up with her sisters behind.
"It's a message from the queen ...."
"From the queen ..."
One of her sisters grabbed the letter out of her hand. Other older sister tried but she was too slow. Her mother had snatched out opened it and started to read it.
"There's to be a ball ..."
"A ball?"
"Yes! In honor of her daughter .... every eligible maiden is to attend."
"That means I can go too."
"Her dancing with the princess .... 'I would be honored your hinges ... mind holding my broom'." Her sister mocked.
"I see why not ... if you get your chores done ...."
"Thank you ...."
".... and if you can find something suitable to wear ..."
"Thank you step mother!"
Cinderjuri ran out of the room with a glowing face. She ran up stairs closed the door behind her. On her bed was a little creature. He was about as big as a ripe water melon big green eyes full of life and bat like ears. He watched check herself out in the mirror.
After one moment of fussing with her hair she gave up looking how ruffled it looked. She slumped in defeat. Calumon whimpered as his ears sunk back into his head.
"Come Cinderjuri, your pretty just the way you are ...."
"Yea. But I have nothing to wear ...."
"Oh, I wouldn't say that."
Calumon hopped off the bed walked over to the closet and opened and hanging right there was a beautiful green and yellow dress.
"Oh, Calumon .... you shouldn't have ..."
"I know ..."
Cinderjuri took the dress and swung around and then she stopped looked down at the little creature with a-you are so dead -look.
"Calumon, you didn't steal any of my sisters clothes did you?"
"Huh ... who me? Why would I ... Calumon ... steal?" He asked as Cinderjuri giggled.
"Good, that means that I treated you right ..."
"Yea ... but you better hurry .... carriage will be here ..."
"Thank you Calumon! Thank you so much!" She said merely hugging the creature to death.
