Chapter Eight- Affections: Crazy Love (Part 1 of 2)

Daisuke's Narration
It's been three weeks since we got back, Ruki and I went through hell explaining everything to my parents and Jun, my mom fainted, my dad couldn't speak, and Jun, well, she just pinched herself convinced she was daydreaming. Speaking of which, well, you'll find out what kind of significance daydream means later on, right now just go with the flow. But now we've been taking a break since me and Ruki have been fighting for the last three years, we wanted to take some us time before we started training everyone. We've been staying at my grandparent's vacation apartment, much to my mother's disapproval.

Writer's Narration
Through the course of the years since MaloMyotismon's defeat, the band known as Teenage Wolves had grown to enormous heights in popularity, though named The Wolves; they are still popular as ever. The relevance of this is, all of the Chosen, save Yamato were on they way to see them play, Daisuke had begged everyone into coming; he said he had a surprise waiting on them. So naturally, they all cleared their schedules and went.

Daisuke asked if Hikari could take Ruki since he had to run a couple of errands before he could go, although this was not an idea Ruki was particularly fond of, but she went with it anyway. Now the time for the concert had begun and courtesy of Yamato the Chosen had front row seats. All were filled except one, reserved for Daisuke. Finally the concert began.

Slowly the concert neared its end, it had already been two hours and still Daisuke had not even shown his face. Finally once the band took a little break, Hikari leant over to Ruki.

“Where's Davis, wasn't he the one that invited us here?” The brown eyed beauty asked.

“Yea, he said he had a surprise.” The red-headed girl replied.

“What kind of surprise?” A certain blond boy, sitting to the side of Hikari, asked.

“You think he tells me a damn thing? Ha, fat chance, when he want something to be a surprise the only people that know are him and the people involved, if any.”

“I wonder what he has planned.” Hikari asked aloud, more to herself then anything.

“I guess we'll find out.” Takeru said.

Yamato walked out onto the stage the rest of the band aside him, the crowd cheered. The band set their instruments up as Yamato walked to the microphone and waited for the crowd to calm.

“Alright, I want to thank you all for coming out tonight and supporting us, this is the last song of the night. It's our most popular American cover, The Cult's War” Before he even heard their reaction, he started the wavy guitar riff that the crowd knew so well. The drummer tapped his drumsticks, the lead guitarist kicked in, and then it all came together as they began to play. The crowd roared.

As the song ended abruptly as it had begun, the crowd cheered, whistles of support, yells and screams of the same. Yamato, once again stepped up to the microphone.

“Thank you ladies and gentlemen, it's been fun, but that's it.” Yamato said with a coy smile, then he turned and began to walk off stage.

“That's it? I guess Daisuke didn't have a surprise.” Takeru said.

“I don't think that's it, there was something weird about Yamato's smile.” Sora said. Just as she got the out, the bassist stopped Yamato. He jogged back to the mic after a moment of conversation with him.

“Man, I'm so stupid, I forgot, that's not the end we have another three special songs left.” The crowd cheered once again. “Now there's two slow songs and once that's a catchy rock song, but here's the catch, I'm not singing, but before you say anything, the songs that are about to be sung, are dedicated to some people. The first two are to someone very special to the person singing,” Yamato glanced to Ruki, both her and Hikari catching it, which confused them, then it hit them, “and the last is for everyone here and everyone not here. Now, without anymore talking, I shall introduce the man singing these songs, Daisuke Motomiya, known by most people as Davis Motomiya.” The burgundy haired boy walked out onto the stage with that lop-sided smile attached to his face. Daisuke nodded to Yamato and spoke not a word, until the music started.

The slow guitar was picked at by Yamato, the drums lightly hit by the drummer, and the bass steadily vibrating through the ears of anyone near. Then finally the words were spoken.

I can hear her heartbeat from a thousand miles, and the heavens open up every time she smiles, and when I come to her that is where I belong, and I'm running through her like a rivers song.” Ruki was in awe of Daisuke's singing.

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love, she gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love.” Yamato had his eyes closed, just listening to him sing.

“She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down, and I'm coming to her when the sun goes down, take away my troubles, take away my grief, take away my heartaches in the night like a thief.”

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love, she gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love.”

And I need her in the daytime ( I need her), and I need her in the night ( I need her), and I want to throw my arms around her, kiss and hug her, kiss and hug her tight.” There were almost no dry eyes in the crowd at the moment as Yamato picked at the guitar. His solo was magnificent.

When I'm returning from so far away, gives me some sweet loving, brightens up my day, and it makes me righteous and it makes me whole, and it makes me mellow right down to my soul.” Daisuke stared into to the eyes of the girl he loved as she stared back.

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love, she gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love.”Slowly the music finished, but not before another short, but beautiful solo by Yamato.

The crowd stood and there wasn't a single person did not cheer.
