Chapter Nine- Affections: Have a little faith and Daydream

 

As Crazy Love finished, Yamato put his guitar down, which disappointed some people, but they were still cheering. Yamato sat down in front of the keyboard and began the next song.

 

“When the road gets daaarrrk, and you can no longer seeeee, just let my love throw a spark, and have a little faith in me.”

“I said Iiiiiwill hold you up, Iiiiwill hold you up, your love gives me strength enough, so have a little faith in me. Said a hey heeey, allll, you gotta do for me girl, is have a little faith in me.” Slowly the song ended. And once again not a dry eye in the house, they all cheer. Yamato returning to his guitar grabbed a second microphone and spoke now that the crowd had quieted.

 

“Alright, now we're getting to the last song of the night, this is a cover of a song called Daydream by the Freddy Jones Band. Enjoy.” Yamato started picking the guitar lightly, then it got silent, and he laughed slightly, then a slight strum was heard. Then the guitar kicked back on stronger then before. The drummer tapped the sticks, the lead guitar strummed his acoustic, finally the drummer went all out, as the did the others. And Daisuke began to sing.

 

“Tuesday morning, never looked so good. I'm allllready in, in a daydream.” The guitar was played beautifully.

 

“The Sun is shinin', no one around, just me and the sky! I'm allllreeeeady in, in a daydream. I'm allllready in, in a daydreeeaaam.” Matt began the solo, elegant and beautifully, as he concluded, in mid-song the crowd cheered.

 

“The sky is calling, calling out my name. Telling me just stay, stay, don't go away! I'm allllreeeeaddy in, in a daydream. I'm allllreeeeaddy in, in a daydream, in a daydream, in a daydream.” Another beautiful solo rang out, playing as loud as the speakers would let it. Finally the song came to a graceful end. And earned the loudest cheer of the night.But Daisuke had one last thing to say.

 

“Happy Birthday Ruki, I love you.” She blushed and smiled.
