Chapter Four: Choice that Affects

Strabimon came running up with Beetlemon right behind causing Takuya/Flamon's eyes to widen then went stern as Strabimon came closer but not to close since a human was loaded with an arrow, his expression stern as well with slight confusion in his eyes. How was Takuya going to explain this?

"Uh .... Strabimon, this is my old friend ... Kouji ... uh .. Kouji this is Strabimon."

"Yes. Charmed. Now, come on. Let's get out of here ..."

By know both Digimon's where running. Strabimon was the first to stop, turned his head to see that Takuya had not moved, his head down; his ears drooped slightly. Strabimon turned around and bounded up and stopped ..

"Flamon, what's wrong? Now come on."

"I can't."

"Why not?" Strabimon asked wanting to get closer as he lowered his upper body to the ground so that could get some eye contact with Takuya.

The red-haired Digimon finally lifted his head as the wolf like Digimon did too as Beetlemon watched but he was more worried about Zephyrmon than anything else.

"Uh ... don't mean to interrupt but I'm going to check on Zephyrmon ....."

"Go." Strabimon said sharply as he turned his head to look at Beetlemon then back at his crush.

"Oh. That's right! She was fighting Ranamon." Takuya said straightening up, "I'll be right back." He continued as he looked back at Kouji.

Strabimon looked how they both looked at each other and didn't like one single bit. He was not going to let some sexy human take his Flamon heart. Flamon was his and his only!

"Darin of Rain!" Ranamon hissed.

A dark swirls of clouds formed up above Zephyrmon's head but she move out of the way brought her hand over her head; brought to the side of her body calling out her attack. Pink swirls emanated from her body and toward Ranamon but his time she was ready; a strain of water shot out of from the ground blocking the attack. Zephyrmon's ears twitched back and forth looking sternly ahead, her eagle like wings flapped to get some of the water off ... as much as she liked fighting this was getting no where!

"Still haven't destroyed her yet?" Came a deep voice.

Zephyrmon's body froze, her eyes clouded over with fear; her ears twitching. She slowly turned and came face to face with Duskmon. This angered Ranamon, how dare he interrupt their cat fight! Zephyrmon as about to back away but she was slugged right in the chest. Bring his skull head back, she was struck really hard across the shoulder sending her to the ground but she managed to get a hold of her self as he put her hand out as it touched the ground, brought her body forward and then her upper body up as her legs touched the ground ...

"Zephyrmon!"

It was Beetlemon and the others running up. Once they got in front of her Zephyrmon was on her feet her face went back to stern as Duskmon turned his head slightly looking at Ranamon crossly.

"Cherubimon wants you to stop this foolishness and return to headquarters."

"This is not foolishness!" Ranamon hissed standing on her tipy-toes, her hands balled into fists her arms shaking, "and I was wining sugar if you hadn't reared your ugly ass in!"

Duskmon's red cold eyes flashed but didn't flinched as he sent a wave energy at the strain of water that Ranamon was standing on as it sliced it's way through sending the female Digimon to the ground on her back with a thud causing her to whimper after she landed.

"That wasn't fare, sugar ..." She said in a shaky voice trying to get up.

"Cherubimon, doesn't have time for the foolishness you just preformed. Now return to headquarters!"

"Zephyrmon, what where you thinking going up against that monster?" Beetlemon asked with fear in his eyes.

"Yea. We where all worried about you," Takuya responded, "but thank you for saving my home village."

"Home village?"

By know they all where all looking at him with confusion in their eyes and faces. Will they just stop staring at him like that? He did not want to explain and the vibes from Strabimon was not good making Takuya feel nervous. He slowly started to back away crouching very low ...

"Oh, will you look at the sky," he said nervously still backing slowly turning, "it's time for me to go. Bye!"

He took one bound and his head was the first to ram into Beetlemon metal chest causing Takuya to tumble three feet as he sat up rubbing his head; Strabimon rushing to his side with a worried look on his face.

"Flamon, you know that we're not going to hurt you, but what makes you think that Village is yours?" Beetlemon asked.

"Look. It's a long story but someone is waiting for me back at the village," Takuya said walking around Beetlemon.

They all watched him leave, jealousy growing even more in Strabimon's eyes. How can Flamon have feeling for that ... that ... beautiful human creature? They didn't know each other! Did they? Taking a few steps, his face stern ...

"It's that human male, Kouji isn't?" Strabimon asked icily.

This caused Takuya to stop as his head, which was slightly down shot up. How dare Strabimon think so low about humans! But part of it was true ... he wanted to see Kouji again and be with his brother Shinya ... he missed him.

"Look," Takuya said again, "I'm sure that Lady Ophanimon would rather not have someone like me around ..."

"What are you talking about? Lady Ophanimon was really worried about you when Sorcermon announce that you where missing." Zephyrmon responded with a hurt look.

"That's sweet," the red haired Digimon said with a smile on his face, "but I don't belong there ---"

"What are you talking about? Of course you do. You're a Digimon of fire - Flamon ..." Strabimon responded feeling hatred in his heart.

"That's the name Lady Ophanimon gave me, but that's not who I really am ..."

"Okay. You lost me." Beetlemon said with confusion.

"Takuya! Takuya, where are you?"

The red haired Digimon winced as he turned to see the twins running up, a bow loaded in Kouji's hand. Zephyrmon looked at the two human males ... wow. I can see why Flamon liked had something for --- but wait there are two of them. Witch one is Kouji. But that was not the only that bothered Zephyrmon. What bothered her was what Flamon brought up ... of being now who he really was. Her thoughts where interrupted by Strabimon's stern voice.

"These humans did something to you and I'm not going to stand by and watch them hurt you anymore. Starting with that human you call Kouji!"To Be Continued....
