Takuya woke to the sound of slight moaning, he opened his eyes to see Kouji walking into the hallway; his hand over his heart and his face was white.

"Kouji ..." the half-digimon got up and walked closer and paled.

"Takuya ... are ... you all right?"

"I really should be asking that ..."

"No, I should," Kouji said as Takuya noticed that the dark haired had fangs, "I've really been mean to you without mean too ... I've just been really worried about my brother."

"Don't be. I would be too if Shinya was sick ..." the red haired digimon said breaking the other boys gaze.

"Shinya?"

"Yea. He was my little brother. He was about Tomoki's age before this happened ..."

No wonder why Takuya acts so brotherly to Tomoki. "I'm sorry ..." Kouji said getting the idea.

Tomoki sat up to the sound of people talking softly. He quietly walked up to the door and picked his head out. Kouji looked so white and out of it. Man, poor Kouji .... first Kouichi gets sick and know this ...

"Don't be. I would too if Shinya was sick ..." Takuya shared breaking the gaze ...

Who's Shinya ....?

"Shinya?"

"Yea. He was my little brother. He was about Tomoki's age before this happened ..."

This caused the little boy's face to straighten up as his eyes flashed with slight pain ... not that he didn't think it was right to think that could be brothers it was that he brought slight pain to Takuya without meaning to ... with a sigh, he walked up, his head down ...

"I'm sorry ..."

The two boy's looked at him with confusion. Takuya walked up with a sympathetic look on his face ...

"Why are you sorry?"

"I remind you of your dead brother ...."

"Nonsense. You're braver then he is --- but if you really hadn't come along I would've forgotten ..." Takuya said placing a hand on the little boy's shoulder, "now it's time for you to be in bed ..."

Takuya turned the boy around and lead him back into the room ... causing Kouji to smile a little. Now he knew why the red-haired half-digimon behaved that way ... Takuya was a big brother ... so seeing Tomoki made something click inside ... the one thing Kouji didn't want to admit was that he was sort of jealous that Takuya gave the other boy special attention and not him ... but know he knew why.

A yawn brought him back to reality as Takuya walked out on all fours ...

"Kouji, there's something I need to ask you ... but not here. Not when Tomoki is trying to go back to sleep."

The night air felt good as the two walked ...

"First of all. I wanted to say that it was my fault for what happened ..."

"It wasn't your fault ...."

"Look at you Kouji! It was because of me that you're having to go through this! Witch is why I wanted to know why you jumped in the way."

This caused the dark haired boy to look away ... he was about to open his mouth but the pain was growing causing Kouji to drop into Takuya's arms ....
