Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Deadly Passion ❯ Animation of the Goddess ( Chapter 1 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon, heck; I don't think I own anyone or
anything in this story.
Author's Note: Whelp, I decided to take a quick brake from Dreams and
Darkness to start this story. The idea came to me and I just couldn't
wait to get started on it. Wow, this is rated R. The first chapter
won't seem like it, but unfortunately there's going to be stuff that
would offend some people. Also, some of the characters are going to
seem very out of character at first, very evil and all. But just stay
with me. Now I'll shut up so you can get to the good stuff!
Deadly Passion

Chapter Itchi: Animation of the Goddess
The young, blonde haired teen walked silently down the empty streets
of dark Tokyo. While other parts of the metropolis were buzzing with
excitement, this area was practically deserted. At night, death roamed
the black streets of this terrified land. Numerous gangs would stalk
and hunt in the heart hiding blackness of night. Many would hunt and
kill any they found, innocent or not. But it was other gang members
who the hunters had formed a delicate taste for.
Two of these gangs were the most deadly and powerful. The only
protection that the smaller gangs had from their bloody hands was that
these two carnivores hated each other with a passion. Should members
of different gangs meet, blood and bullets would fly. Members of the
Kamiya gang loved nothing more than to put a bullet in the brain of
any member of the Ishida gang they could find, and visa versa. Death
was a common factor for these two factions.
Wisps of smoke spiraled from the burning end of a long cigarette as
the boy breathed a long, satisfying breath from the other end, and
sucked it into his lungs. After a few moments, he released the smoke
from his nostrils freely into the slightly cold air. He quickly
glanced down the street behind him to make sure he wasn't being
followed, then ducked into a cluttered, stinking ally.
Now, with a brisk pace, the boy continued to walk down the ally. His
eyes flicked back and forth, scanning the hidden shadows to make sure
that none might assail him. He took another drag of the cigarette and
flinched as the heat from the burning tip singed his knuckles. Looking
down he noticed that the burning point was down to the filter.
Emotionless, he tossed the butt of it at the wall, were it collided
violently and exploded into millions of sparks and particles.
When he reached the junction of an ally running perpendicular to the
one he traveled he cut down it. After a few steps, he halted and stood
motionless. No muscles in his body moved, except those of his right
arm as he reached for the gun holstered around his left shoulder.
What was that noise he was currently hearing? The question was
rhetorical. Repressed breathing is rhythmic and has a distinct flavor
that makes it unmistakable. The boy was not scared; he was very
notorious in the area. Most other gang members would flee in terror at
his presence. It was rumored that he had taken out fifteen other gang
members when they ambushed him in the dark. But the boy knew that that
wasn't true... it had been fourteen.
He squinted his eyes and solemnly called behind him, "You're name had
better be Cody; if it's not, consider yourself a dead man." He
smirked, knowing that if it were anyone else they would have pissed
their pants by now.
"Hey, lighten up a little bit, TK," called the young voice behind him.
TK turned around and faced the direction of the voice to see a much
shorter and younger boy step out from behind a rotting dumpster. TK
removed his hand from his gun. Cody was a new member to the Ishida
gang, but he was a promising one. The kid had passed the initiation
trial that so many others had died failing, and then some. His hazing
mission had been to boost a nice car from a rich family. Cody had
rolled to the Ishida meeting place in a Hummer owned by the Taichi
Kamiya himself. An action very dangerous, and very well done. The kid
had potential alright.
"If I lightened up," replied TK, "I'd be a dead man. You should think
the same. Now, I was told to meet you here, but not what for. Do you
have an assignment from my brother?" TK's voice was full of kindness,
but had a strictly business-like tone.
Cody smiled; it was more than an honor to work with TK. He saw TK as
more than a mentor, he saw him as a legend. Being lectured by TK was a
delightful pleasure. "Matt has assigned you to infiltrate the Kamiya
family banquet tomorrow evening. You are to find out any information
that could be of possible use."
"Sounds simple enough. I don't know how much info I can get from going
to a family banquet hosted by Taichi's parents. They don't even know
that he's the member of a street gang, let alone the top dog a very
infamous one. They think that he's the perfect, cultured, rich son
they raised. I wonder what they would think if they ever found out
that he's a ruthless murderer out here. Now, if it's a family party,
how am I supposed to get in?"
Cody shrugged, "If it was easy, your brother wouldn't have assigned
you to it. You're the best out here, TK. You'll figure it out. I got
other assignments to get to now, but I'm glad I got to see you
tonight."
The ice that had held TK's face emotionless melted and he smiled,
"Thanks, Cody, take care tonight. And remember, never to let your
guard down."
"Oh, I won't," the little boy smirked and patted the hidden gun that
was tucked between his pants and waist. TK waved goodbye, turned, and
light another cigarette.
Fresh water trickled from the exotic statue fountain in the center of
the luxurious ballroom. Images of light danced on the ceiling as it
was reflected from the water. Green plants, bright decorations and
food filled the room. Hundreds of beautifully dressed women and men in
penguin suits laughed and danced in all corners. Most of the men
talked about investments, art and how rich they were. The women
complimented each other on their fabulous dresses and hairstyles.
Everyone at this gathering was either: rich, famous or powerful, many
of them all three. To Takeru Takaishi, they were nothing more nothing
more than a bunch of phonies who paid people to wipe their ass. None
of them knew what life was like for others, especially for those on
the streets.
"Waiter," called a very large woman, wearing way too much make-up, to
TK, "would you bring me another plate of escargot?" She tried here
best to give the request a French accent, but succeeded only in
sounding ridiculous.
TK secretly gagged and had to keep himself from telling the lady that
if she didn't eat so many snails she might be able to loose some
weight. "Why, madam, it would be my pleasure," he replied in a correct
French accent.
The first few hours of the night had been rather slow and boring.
Everyone just danced, got fatter, and bull shitted to each other. TK
was amazed at how much they could talk without really saying anything
important. How could life like this be envied?
Eventually, Taichi's father made his way to the podium at center
stage. He was a decent looking man who appeared to have worked for
everything he had. The man hardly seemed to fit in with the rest of
these fat cats. TK did his best to stay in the ballroom at all times
possible while the man was speaking. Most of what the man said was
praises to his guest and half lame jokes. He talked of the reform that
was going on in the district were TK's gang ruled. Of how the money
that all of them had donated was changing the lives of millions on the
street there. TK knew the man didn't know, but his very own son was
using that money to run his own street gang.
It was when the father introduced his son to the crowd that TK stopped
everything, causing many people to become angry with him. "Hello
everyone," Taichi said in a suave, friendly voice. He appeared to be
the perfect young man. The idea that he was the head of a gang that
sold drugs, killed people and turned peoples' lives in the district
into hell would seem ludicrous. Yet it was anything but false.
"I have a few announcements," the young adult continued, "I hope that
all of you have had a wonderful evening." The crowd cheered. "My first
announcement is that I have decided to attend the Tokyo University
Business School and follow in the path of my father." The crowd
cheered loudly again and applauded, Taichi waved his hand for silence
as he smiled gleefully. "Second, I would like to announce my
engagement to my the love of my life and now fiancé, Sora Tachinawa."
A beautiful red headed girl stood so all eyes in the crowd gathered to
her and feasted on her beauty. She blushed, smiled and waved to those
surrounding her.
TK knew this was gold. He had had no idea that Taichi even had a
special someone in his life. Taichi was a mystery on the street.
Though he was the godfather of his gang, it was his underlings who ran
the show. But TK had little love for this enemy; Taichi had personally
executed some of his very good friends. This bit of information was
good news for the Ishida gang, if they ever needed to, they could use
this girl to get some leverage over the Kamiya gang. TK hated to bring
innocents into the war between the gangs, but if the loss of an
innocent life meant saving the life of one of his friends, he would
not think twice.
Taichi's fiancé sat down again and the crowd hushed. Taichi continued,
"And finally, but most important of all, I would like to announce that
today is my little sister's birthday." Taichi pointed to a brown
haired girl about TK's age who reluctantly stood and faced the crowd.
TK's jaw dropped, and his heart stuttered; this girl was gorgeous. He
had loved his share of girls in his life, but this one was incredible.
The slim pink dress that she wore seemed like it was hardly worth of
her, even though it was obviously top of the line. The way the light
reflected off her bright face and how her eyes sparkled made her seem
more a goddess than a mortal.
"Hikari is seventeen today, and I'm sure that many of you do not know
her. She has spent the last two years studying photography at Columbia
University in New York. Needless to say, we are all very glad to have
her home and soon much of her work will be posted for all of you to
see and buy if you wish." The girl blushed, said something to the
people sitting with her, and then left the ballroom.
TK could hardly control his breathing as he watched her leave. His
eyes could stare at this woman day and night for eternity and never
grow weary. Messages from his heart were screaming to follow her, but
his brain said no. Something deep down in his soul told him that he
would meet her again. TK had never believed in love at first site...
but seeing this incredible Hikari made him realize it was true.
"That's it," an angry man yelled at TK from behind him, "ignore me
will you? I'll make sure that you never work in this town ever again!"
TK turned and looked at the man. TK had gotten all the information he
needed from this lame party; he was out of here. He walked up to the
fat, bald man and stared into his eyes. The man recoiled in fear. TK
raised his arm as if to hit the man, but then, with a quick and
graceful motion, flicked his big nose. With a gasp the man put his
hands to his face and glared angrily at TK, who smiled, turned and
began to walk away.
"Where are your manners," asked a voice as it approached behind TK.
TK turned around, ready to do the same thing to this man, but stopped.
In front of him stood another young man with dark, black hair. He was
wearing a fancy tuxedo and glared at TK with murder in his eyes.
"Itchijouji," TK growled under his breath.
The man smiled and laughed, "Well, if it isn't the feared TK. How nice
to see you. I see that you've finally gotten a real job. But don't you
wish you were a guest here, and not some worthless waiter?" Kenneth
Itchijouji was almost as notorious on the street as TK. Yet he was
known as more cruel and ruthless than dangerous. Being the third in
command of Taichi's gang, he was well respected and feared. Some even
called him the drug emperor of the region. Ken was responsible for all
trafficking of drugs into and out of the region. Having a monopoly on
the drug market only made the rich boy richer.
"Still selling crack to seven year olds, Kenny-boy?" TK smirked back.
Ken's face twisted in anger and he snarled, "Don't call me that! I
know exactly what you're doing here: we Kamiya's don't appreciate
spies. Why don't we go outside and have a little talk, pal?" Ken
opened his jacket and reached in with his hand, most likely grasping a
gun. He smiled at TK, "Let's go."
TK knew that Ken would not shoot him here in the middle of a giant
party, but he was sure that Ken would want to capture him and squeeze
out any information possible. The blonde haired boy was not about to
let that happen. He quietly walked where Ken told him to as they left
the ballroom.
The long halls were fabulously ornamented with paintings and other
works of art. TK's feet sank into the plush red carpet; he wondered
how it would feel bare footed. He could feel Ken grinning behind him
as he had the gun pointed at TK's back. TK had no idea were he was
going to be taken, but he didn't care to find out.
They were well away from the ballroom now and Ken would fire his most
likely silenced gun if TK caused any problems. Getting away from him
would be tricky, and he knew that if he killed Ken, he would have the
entire Kamiya gang personally after his head. All he needed was a
split second for Ken to be distracted.
Finally the moment came. A young, tightly dressed maid passed on the
other side of the hall and smiled at them. Through the corner of his
eye, TK saw Ken turn his head over his shoulder to look at the maid,
probably to see her ass. Without a moment's hesitation, TK whipped
around and smashed his elbow into the side of Ken's skull. Ken grunted
as his head whipped back and his body flew with a crash into a large
vase against the wall.
Ken lay on the ground, pieces of shattered porcelain covering him, for
a dazed moment. The maid came running back to help the hurt man, but
TK was already sprinting down the hall. He had no idea where to go; he
had lost track of where he was as he Ken had pushed him through the
expansive halls of this godly mansion.
He cut into intersecting halls and through a variety of lobbies.
Eventually he saw what looked like a small door that appeared to exit
the home and he dashed toward it as fast as he could. But as he
approached this doorway to freedom Ken appeared from a corner right in
front of the exit.
Ken reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a switchblade, and
then he popped up the blade and smiled at his enemy. TK silently
laughed and reached for the gun concealed in his jacket, planning to
send a hail of lead straight in Ken's direction. As he felt, he
realized that his gun was not there; it must have fallen out while he
ran from Ken.
Just as he was about to meet Ken, TK cut up a staircase to his left.
He heard Ken cussing behind him as he ran up to the next level. When
he had reached the next floor he began sprinting down the hall. A few
doors down he came to a sudden stop and grabbed the handle to a door
at his right. Smoothly, the handle turned and TK entered the room,
looking down the hall to see if Ken had made it up the stairs yet.
He pulled himself to the other side of the door and quickly shut it as
silently as he could. Then he backed a few steps from the door and
carefully watched the light as it peaked in from under the door. Down
the hall he heard opening doors, pausing to look in, and then shutting
them again. The sounds grew ever closer and TK's heart thudded with
adrenalin. If Ken opened that door, TK planned to jump on him like a
snarling animal and tear him to shreds if he had to.
Finally the small crack of light under the door became covered by a
shadow. The shadow did not move for a moment, considering whether he
should enter this room or not. TK held his breath and all his muscles
tensed as he prepared to fight. But then the shadow moved from the
door and continued down the hall, where it began opening more doors.
TK breathed a heavy sigh of relief. Now all he had to do was clime out
the window and it would be easy to escape the ground security. He
reached into his pocket, pulled out a pack of cigarettes and popped
one in his mouth. Pulling out his lighter and preparing to light the
cigarette he turned around. TK's heart stopped and the cigarette fell
from his mouth to the ground.
Standing there in front of him, completely naked and trying poorly to
cover herself, was the goddess he had just seen at the party. Her face
was surprised, but not frightened. His eyes met her face and stared
into her sparkling brown eyes; just looking into them was enough to
melt the heart of any warrior. Hikari stared back at the blonde haired
boy, her eyes locked with his.
Though this moment seemed to last an eternity, it was only a split
second before TK's brain reminded him to be chivalrous and forced his
body to turn back around and make his eyes break from the two gems on
which they were locked. "S-Sorry," he was barely able to stutter.
He felt the girl move behind him, grab something, and come back to her
original position. "There... I'm decent now," she giggled; the sound
of her voice was more soothing and musical than water trickling down a
stony brook.
TK was reluctant to turn around again and face this angel, his heart
made him feel so unworthy of being in her presence. The brown haired
girl fidgeted a little and then continued, "It's alright, I can see
you're running from someone. You can hide out in here as long as you
like. You just chose a really bad time to come in, well maybe not for
you anyways." She smiled.
Slowly, TK turned again and faced Hikari. She was now wearing a soft,
pink robe with Kari embroidered on the chest. TK felt as if his voice
box had been ripped from his throat and it was a struggle for him to
say anything. "I'm not hiding, I'm just trying to find the quickest
way out of this place." He smirked.
Kari raised her eyebrow at him and smiled. "I see. Well, aren't you
going to introduce yourself to me?" The girl slowly began to walk
towards him.
"Uh, well, my name is Takeru Takaishi, but all my friends call me TK."
"Do you mind if I call you TK?"
"Only if you want to. I can tell from you robe that your name is
Kari."
"Correct," she laughed, "but only certain... special people can call
me that."
"That's a beautiful name, would you allow me the honor of calling you
by that name?"
"Well, only my parents and brother call me that, but I think I can
make an exception for you." She turned her head to the ground as her
luscious red lips stretched into a smile and she blushed.
"I never knew Taichi had a sister," TK said matter-of-factly.
"I've been in New York for the last two years, studying photography."
"Wow, photography, I have a camera at home. Maybe you could give me
some photo shooting lessons."
Kari burst into laughter, "I would love nothing more!"
"I heard that today is your birthday, was that party for you?"
"Technically, but I hate those things. Everyone there is so narcissi
and boring that it makes me sick." TK nodded in agreement. "And if I'm
not mistaken, you're no waiter, are you?" Curiosity flashed in her
deep, flowing eyes. "Are you one of Tai's friends?"
The two moved ever closer as the conversation continued. TK had never
felt such excitement in his life; he had never felt this way about
someone before. Yet, he felt so strangely, completely comfortable with
this woman of the dawn. He no longer felt unworthy, he felt a
maddening desire to meet this woman's every need. To love and protect
her at all costs.
"Friend," he answered, "is a really strong word to use in describing
our relationship. Let's just say that Taichi and I don't get along
real well."
"Well, if you're not a waiter, and you're not a friend of Tai's, and
you obviously don't talk or act like a rich snob, what are you doing
here?" The faces of the two were inches apart, and quickly getting
closer. The two stared so deeply into each other's eyes that one might
think they were reading each other's souls.
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you," he replied calmly as he closed
his eyes and prepared to kiss, Kari did the same.
Then there was a loud knock on the door and the two pulled themselves
from each other. "Hikari, there's an intruder in the mansion, I think
he may be hiding in your room," called Ken.
Kari grabbed TK's arm and pulled him toward the window. "Just a
moment, I'm getting dressed," she called back as she opened the window
and pushed TK toward it. "Don't worry, I'll cover for you."
"Thanks," TK smiled as he jumped from the window ledge, grabbed onto a
lower tree branch and then carefully dropped to the ground. He looked
back up toward the window, there stood the maiden watching him. "Will
I ever see you again?" He called to her.
"Meet me here tomorrow night," she called down and blew a kiss to him,
"be careful." TK waived and then made his way through the large yard
and over the surrounding wall.
Kari broke her stare from the man she had just met, walked to the door
and opened it. "Thank you for waiting, Kenneth. Now, tell me, why
would an intruder be hiding in my room, I've been in here the whole
time?"
Ken was taken aback, "I followed him to this floor and I'm certain
that he is hiding in one of these rooms."
"Well, go look harder in the other ones, because he's not in here."
"Sorry for bothering you, Hikari." Ken began to turn and walk away,
but he turned back to her. "Did you know that Daisuke is coming back
from New York tomorrow?"
She paused for a moment, remembering something. "Unfortunately...
yes," she said sadly.
"You should be happy," Ken smiled. "You two are meant for each other,
I know that you'll get back together."
"No... what we had in New York is over, I'm certain of that now." Kari
shut the door, walked to her bed and jumped on it. She lay there with
a wide grin, thinking of the mysterious man that had captured her
heart.
Author's Note: There you have it, my first attempt at a primarily
romantic story. I really hope that you enjoyed it! There'll be more
action and lovin' in the next chapter, lots more! Is it just me, or
did I make Ken and Tai really evil? Ken selling drugs to little kids,
Tai murdering people, yeah right! If people like this story I'll get
the next chapter up ASAP. I hope people like it, I like it, isn't that
enough? Once again, all reviews are extremely appreciated. I love to
hear what people have to say about my work, even if they hate it.
