Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ Deadly Passion ❯ Lost Loves ( Chapter 2 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Disclaimer: Me, own Digimon? I wish.
Author's Note: I was very surprised at how many people read and seemed
to like this story. Thanks to everyone who read it. Some people were
saying that it's a lot like West Side Story and Romeo y Julieta, but I
can assure you it will be very different. I had never seen WSS, so I
went and rented it, and needless to say, I didn't like it very much. I
admit that it has a lot in common with WSS with the gangs and all, but
that's about it. I would also like to thank Ken Tachinawa for
defending me with his review, but Ken, please be a little less rude to
the other reviewers. Well, this chapter makes it clear why this story
is rated R, sadly. I hate to write rated R stuff, cause then a lot of
people who might enjoy it won't read it, but to get the full effects
and impressions needed, I have no choice. Some characters are still
way different, but I hope that I managed to bring some back a little.
I hope that you will enjoy this chapter, there's a lot of talking (I
talk way to much in these authors' notes) but there will be a lot of
good stuff in it as well. Enjoy!

Are we part of the light, or part of the darkness...
A tall, blonde haired man paced quietly around the room, deep in
thought. The room was dank, dark and covered in filth. Cockroaches
scurried about, searching for food and shelter. Many of the pests met
their end as they were crushed mercilessly under the feet of the man.
Foul odors filled the abandoned room of the long forsaken factory.
Sitting, firmly bound to an old chair, was a much shorter and younger
teen with dark brown hair.
Both of the men looked silently toward the door as the knob turned and
another blonde man entered. The newcomer looked like a younger version
of the original blonde man. TK quietly closed the door and faced the
two others.
"About time you're here, TK. Now we can get down to business." The
older blonde man said.
"Sorry I'm late, Matt." The boy looked apologetically at his brother
and then to the man tied to the chair. "What's up with Ozzy here?
Why's he all tied up like that?"
Matt laughed, "Based on your story, the Kamiya's obviously knew you
were going to be at the party last night. Why else would Kenny-boy
have been there?" He stopped smiling and looked at the man tied to the
chair. "The only people who even knew about your mission were you,
Cody, myself and little Ozzy here. Taichi got information from
somewhere."
"It wasn't me, I swear!" cried Ozzy. "It had to have been Cody. You
guys know how loyal I am to the gang!" he pleaded.
"Shut your ugly face," Matt ordered as he smashed his fist into Ozzy's
jaw. Ozzy yelped and sucked his lip as blood pored from his mouth and
dripped to the floor. TK watched emotionlessly, his mind far away this
horror-taking place.
"Now," said Matt angrily, "we know that it can't be Cody, the kid's as
loyal to the gang as me and TK here. The gang's all he has, betraying
us would be like betraying his family. So Ozzy, ol' pal, how long have
you been fucking us over?"
"I swear, I would never fuck you guys over," Ozzy cried. "You guys are
my family too."
"Awe, don't pull that shit on me. Things have been getting' out for a
while now. You're a kinda shady character, always out doing stuff
without my permission. How much they been payin' you for leaking? Was
it worth the final consequence?" Matt smiled evilly, "TK... shoot
`im."
TK pulled his gun from his holster, and quickly placed it on the man's
temple. His finger quivered and shook on the trigger, itching to pull
it.
"Alright, Alright!" Ozzy screamed, "I'm a rat, is that what you want
to hear? They paid me and I told them what they wanted. Just please
don't kill me!" The kid began to weep violently.
TK did not move his gun from the man's head, but struggled with all
his might to resist the desire of shooting. Matt continued to
interrogate, "All right, I see Oz, all we want from you is a little
honesty. Now that you've given us the answer we wanted to hear, we can
act like civilized human beings."
"You're not going to shoot me," Ozzy choked, his tears of fear
changing to tears of joy.
"Naw, I don't think that your buddy here, TK, wants to kill you. Oz...
Oz... Oz. You're my man."
"You're... going to forgive me?"
"Of course... I forgive all those who do me wrong. But I also know
that you're never going to do this again, right?"
"No way, never ever," Ozzy laughed.
"I know you're not going to do it again, because I forgive, but don't
forget. Oz, my friend... you have gone where angels fear to tread. My
man, you have gotten on my bad side." Ozzy's eyes widened in horror,
but it happened so fast that he had no time to scream. As quickly as
lightning, Matt pulled his gun from his holster, aimed it between the
man's eyes, and pulled the trigger.
With a deafening bang, the bullet left the gun, entered Ozzy's skull,
tore through all the delicate brain tissue, and exited the backside of
his head. A stream of dark blood and gore sprayed onto the dirty wall.
Ozzy's head dropped forward, and his eyes stared lifelessly into TK's
deep blue eyes.
Matt watched the dead man, making sure he was dead, then pulled out a
handkerchief and wiped the blood spatter off his hands. TK holstered
his gun, pulled out a pack of cigarettes, popped on into his mouth and
lit it up.
Matt looked at him, "I'll take one of those." TK tossed Matt the pack
of cigarettes. Matt lit one, took a long, deep breath, and blew the
smoke into the dead man's face. Then he turned to TK, "You wanna tell
me what was up with that?"
"With what?"
"Why didn't you kill him? When I said kill him, I meant kill him. It
was fun scaring him and all, but I wanted you to blow his
traitor-assed brains out."
"I c-couldn't do it, Matt. I wanted to, but something wouldn't let me
do it."
"Oh, don't tell me you're getting' soft on me now. Oz was a traitor
and deserved to die, you know that. Normally you'd a killed him
without hesitation. What's holdin' you back?"
TK stood silently for a moment, then said, "I think that maybe some of
the stuff we are doing is wrong."
"Wrong! We've been on the streets all our life. Unlike Taichi, this is
all we've got. It's the only way to survive out here, TK."
"I know, but we don't have to keep living this way. We can change."
"Why would you want to do a thing like that for?"
"Matt, I can tell you anything, right?"
"Of course bro, what's on your mind?"
TK paused again, "Well, I think I'm in love."
"Again, how does that change anything? You're a pimp out here, bro,
how long do you think this bitch will last?"
"Don't call her a bitch!"
"Wow, sorry. How could loving someone make you want to change your
life?"
"She's different. She makes me want to give up doing wrong things."
"I see... she has you pussy whipped!" Matt laughed.
"Shut up... do you believe in true love, Matt?"
"Not really, I mean I truly love you as a brother, and I love my
friends, but not any women. All women are good for is fucking, what
else would you want one for?"
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. I think I truly love this
girl. No, I know I do."
"Well, TK, I'm happy for you then. I wouldn't want to run this gang
without you; you're the heart and soul of it. But if you want out,
just say the word. I'll do what I can to give you a new life, but no
guarantees. But first, tell me who this sweetheart is, she had better
be dead sexy for you to leave the gang."
"Oh, she's sexy alright. But... I can't tell you who she is."
"Why not?"
"Because you wouldn't understand... you'll hate me."
"TK, I could never hate you. Try me, I promise not to get mad."
"It's your funeral. Matt... I am hopelessly in love with Hikari
Kamiya."
Matt's eyes shot open with rage, his fist clenched tightly. "No, no,
no! You did not just tell me that you are in love with my worst
enemy's sister." TK shook his head. "Fuck!" Matt turned and kicked the
dead man so hard the chair fell over. He gritted his teeth angrily and
turned back to TK. His face lightened and the anger seemed to leave
him. "Alright then, I just can't believe that you would want to leave
me for a fuckin' Kamiya."
"Matt, I don't want to leave you. I just don't want to bring her into
a life like this. Maybe someday you'll understand how much I love her.
Don't you love Mimi like that?"
"That dumb bitch, I love to fuck her, but that's about it. Well...
maybe I do love her, maybe things would be different if she didn't
live on the street with me."
"So you're not mad?"
"No... Hikari was just the last person I thought you would ever love.
The problem is, that if you want to be with her, Taichi will have to
approve of your relationship, and I don't see that happening. Hikari's
not a member of the Kamiya gang, so I really don't hate her. But
you're one of Taichi's greatest enemies, and I'm sure he would kill
you the first chance he got, no matter how much it hurt his sister."
"I know... I know. Maybe she and I could run away and live in a city
far away from here. I could get a respectable job and everything would
be perfect."
"If that's what you want, I'll do my best to make it happen. Cody can
take your place here with me." Small tears actually began to stream
down Matt's cheeks. "But if this girl brakes your heart, or hurts you
in any way, I'll blow her fuckin' brains out."
TK smiled, the threat was just his brother's way of showing him he
cared. He knew that Kari would never hurt him; he could feel it deep
in his soul. "Thanks, Matt, you're a great brother. Now... let's get
rid of this body."
Hikari sat in the massive library that was in her home. She was
carefully reading a copy of Romeo and Juliet. As she read it, she
couldn't help but think of TK as Romeo. She also saw herself as
Juliet. How she longed for the man she now loved to read this with
her. But he was obviously not a cultured rich boy like all other men
she knew; he was a fascinating rogue. He had a lot in common with Tai
too. It was too bad they didn't like each other; they could have been
great friends.
She also knew that Tai would never approve of her relationship with
TK. As far as Tai knew, she didn't know anything about his gang. But
she knew, and it tore her heart. She knew of what Tai was doing and
had done, and she thought him a monster for it. She yearned for the
days when they were children and would play together, never have to
worry about danger. She loved her brother so much; that was why she
couldn't tell her parents about his gang. With all her heart, she
prayed that he would give it up. With his engagement to Sora, Kari
knew it would be only time before he realized how much danger he was
putting her in.
There was a light knock on the door and Tai entered. He approached his
sister and smiled. She smiled back and her heart broke even more. How
could she ever tell Tai that she loved TK?
"How did you sleep last night, Kari?" He said softly.
"The best I've slept in a long time. I had some beautiful dreams."
Tai smiled again, "Good, I'm glad."
"Tai... do you know a Takeru Takaishi?"
Tai's eyes narrowed and he looked at her suspiciously, "I can't say
the name rings a bell. Wait... he wouldn't happen to be a member of
that terrible Ishida gang, would he?"
"I think so."
"Yes... I've heard of him." Tai smirked evilly, "I've heard that he's
a notorious murderer and drug lord."
Kari looked at him angrily, she knew what he said was probably true,
but TK seemed to have a good heart, just a bad life. Why did she have
to love two terrible people so badly? "Well, Tai, the same could be
said about you."
Tai leapt back, "What do you mean?"
"I know about your little gang, I've known for a very long time."
"What ever you think you've heard about me is wrong."
Kari began to cry, "Tai, I know all about you and what you've done.
But it's all like some little game to you. All those people you kill,
they all have souls and lives. Don't you care about me, or Sora, or
Mom and Dad?"
"Of course, I love all of you."
"Then leave your gang, let Daisuke and Ken run it. Let them ruin their
own lives. But you're putting all of us in danger, and if you cared
about us, you wouldn't even think of letting danger come near us!" She
was practically screaming now.
"Calm down, Kar, not so loud." He looked at her, a gleam of fire in
his eyes, "What did that TK tell you? He was in your room last night
wasn't he? Did he try to hurt you?"
"No, he was very sweet, and he didn't say anything about you. Tai...
I'm in love with him."
Tai looked at her in disbelief, then he turned and pulled out his gun.
He checked to make sure that it was loaded. Then he began walking
toward the door. Kari ran and pulled him around. "No, you can't kill
him. Tai, I love you... and I love him. You both have good hearts, I
can feel it deep inside me."
"Kari, don't you see, he's managed to trick you into thinking you love
him so he can get to me. Why do you think that I got Dad to send you
to New York? I didn't want you here so that you'd always be safe." Tai
was now weeping as well.
"If you wanted me to be safe, you never would have started your own
gang. But you were just so power hungry and looking for adventure that
you never even thought about anyone but yourself."
Tai put the gun back into his pocket and looked at her sadly. "You're
right... I never thought about anyone else." He was still crying, but
laughed, "My little sister is in love, I keep forgetting you're a
grown woman. But why TK, can't you find a better man, one with some
money?"
Kari smiled, "Tai, true love doesn't need money. All it needs is a
partner."
"That's it Kari... I thought I was smart enough to hide being in a
gang from you. Boy, was I dumb. I'm going to hand over leadership to
Daisuke. What's with you and gang member boyfriends? Did you know that
Daisuke was second in command of my gang while you dated him?"
"No, but when we were in New York he accidentally let something slip
and covered it up, but I was smart enough to figure it out. That's why
I broke up with him."
"He still wants you, you know that right?"
"I know, but I love TK now."
"Well, I'll try to get along with him... but he's killed some of my
best men."
"You can do it Tai, he's a wonderful person and once you get to know
him I'm sure you'll like him." She smiled.
"I hope so."
Kari and Tai sat in the library for hours, talking and chatting about
so many things. It had been years since they had just talked. They
were making plans for Tai to give up leadership of the gang to Daisuke
when the devil himself walked in, Ken with him.
Daisuke was a famous hero in Tokyo. His father was mayor of the city
and his mother was a famous fashion designer. Daisuke himself had been
in New York for a year playing for the Columbia University soccer
team. Though he was no older than Kari, his soccer skills were so
amazing that Columbia had actually paid him to come and strengthen
their soccer team. Daisuke himself had gone only to play soccer, and
after a year of easily beating the weak American soccer teams, and
leading Columbia to the national championship, he had decided to come
home.
Many had greatly approved of the relationship between Kari and
Daisuke. Some had even called them a match made in heaven. Kari was
the type of person who looked for the good in people. And unlike Ken,
in Kari's opinion, Daisuke had a lot of good in him. But there was
darkness as well. Eventually Kari decided to end her relationship with
him because he kept so many dark secretes from her. Though TK had many
of those same dark secretes, she could feel that he wouldn't hide them
from her.
"Ah, Daisuke, I'm so glad that your back from New York, we've missed
you." Tai said as he greeted his friend and hugged him. "What's with
the goggles?"
"Thanks, Tai, but you can call me Davis now. That's what everyone in
New York called me, so I've gotten used to it. And the goggles are
part of my new style, they're really popular in America, isn't that
right, Kari?" He turned and smiled to her.
"Yeah, welcome back, Daisuke," she said half-heartedly to him.
"You still won't call me Davis?"
"I'm not a member of the soccer team, am I?"
"Well, despite your coldness, I'm glad to see you again Kari."
"It's only been a few weeks since I left New York."
"I know, but every day without you is a day in Hell." Davis smiled,
trying to be smooth. Kari just rolled her eyes. "Won't you please give
me another chance Kari? You know that I love you with all my heart, I
think that you're just confused about us."
"Maybe, but I don't think so. Could we please talk about this another
time?"
"Anything for you, Kari."
"Well... I think that we have some business to get to," Ken looked at
Tai, suggesting to get rid of Kari with his eyes. He and Kari did not
have a very good relationship. The fact that he and Davis were best
friends only meant that whenever Davis was around Kari, Ken would be
right behind him.
Tai looked at Kari, his eyes showed that he was a little uncertain of
what he was about to do. "Kari, would you mind leaving us a lone for
just a little while?"
"Have courage, Tai," she whispered to her brother as she left the
room.
Bright beams of light from the moon and stars glazed the green grass
of the night. Classical piano music could be heard playing somewhere
in the large mansion, but Kari did not care. She had not seen her
brother since their talk, and was deeply troubled about how it had
gone. Yet, aside from the trouble in her heart, she was anxious with
joy. Tonight she was going to get to spend some time with TK, and she
could hardly wait.
She opened the door to her room and quietly entered. She did not turn
on the light inside, hoping to make most people think that she had
gone to sleep. When she glanced at her bed, she smiled at what she
saw. A bouquet of bright red roses were laid on the pillow. As she
picked them up to smell them, she realized that they were the same
ones that grew in her mother's garden. She giggled lightly.
"I would have bought them at a store, but these are the best ones I've
ever seen," called a voice from the shadows.
Kari recognized the voice immediately and turned to see TK watching
her. She ran and hugged him. "I'm so glad you came! Thank you very
much for the wonderful flowers, my mother won't be very happy, but I
am." TK laughed and returned her embrace.
"I'm glad you like them. Are you ready to go?"
"Go where," she laughed.
"Come on, you'll find out when we get there!"
"I can hardly wait!"
TK jumped out the window and performed the same move he had done the
night before. Then he held out his arms and motioned to Kari that he
would catch her. But she just smiled, leapt from the window, grabbed
the tree branch and let herself fall gracefully to the ground. TK
looked amazed.
"I learned a few things in New York," she laughed at his expression.
At an incredible speed, the trees and buildings shot by. TK weaved the
crotch rocket in and out of the few automobiles that traveled the
streets. He could feel Kari holding on behind him tightly, whether out
of exhilaration from the speed or for the joy of holding him, he
didn't know.
Eventually they had made their way out of town and into the green
countryside. Kari had been closing her eyes for most of the ride, but
the way she laughed and shouted how much fun the ride had been, TK
knew she was enjoying herself. When the cycle finally stopped she
opened her eyes to see that they were on a very large hill that
overlooked the largest city in Japan. Seeing the lights stretch on for
as far as her eyes could see, made her realize how beautiful the view
was.
"This is beautiful, TK," she told him as he helped her to the ground.
The pristine and clear sky could not hold back the penetrating light
of any star in the sky and an occasional shooting star streaked across
the sky. A small brook could be heard gurgling the sounds of love
nearby. Some crickets chirped and added to the symphony being
performed for the two lovers.
TK led Kari down the hill a little ways and showed her a patch of
long, plush grass. He lay down on his back and motioned for her to do
the same. The spot had a perfect view of either the stars or the city
lights, which ever was preferred.
TK turned his head to look at Kari, "This is where I come to think
sometimes; it's the most beautiful place in the world. But now it
seems ugly, with your radiance here."
Kari smiled and nudged him with her elbow, "That's very sweet, but
really corny."
"I know, but it's true. You're the first person that I've ever brought
here."
"Really?"
"Yeah... Kari, I know we just met, but I feel like I've known you all
my life. It's like my whole life I've been searching for you, and now
that I've found you, I finally realize how terrible I've been and made
my life."
"We all make mistakes, TK. But it's never too late to change." TK said
nothing for a while, yet the silence was completely understood and not
at all uncomfortable. Finally Kari spoke again, "What's on your mind
TK?"
TK seemed reluctant to speak, but urged himself on, "Kari... did you
know that I'm the member of a gang?"
"I knew it when I first saw you."
"But I'm the member of a really terrible gang. I've done some really
horrible things. Kari... I've killed people. How could you love such a
horrible person?"
"TK... my brother has done the same things that you have, but I still
love him with all my heart. And I know that I love you, even with all
the things that you've done."
"I'm planning to get out of the gang. My brother is the leader, and he
wasn't happy, but I told him that I wanted out. Kari... I want to
change my life. I want to be with you forever, and I would never want
you to be in danger. And I know that you love Taichi, so if you love
him, he can't be all that bad either."
"I had the same conversation with him today. He's going to give up
leadership of the gang and try to repair some of the damages he's done
to people."
TK looked shocked out of his mind, "You convinced him to give up his
position on the street? I never thought that that would happen."
"I also told him that I was in love with you. He wasn't happy at
first, but I think that he wants me to be happy. I think that you two
would really get along, if you would give each other a chance." She
turned her head and looked into his eyes. He returned her gaze and the
two seemed to glow with an invisible light.
"I hope that everything will work out."
"Hope is all we need." The two moved their faces together and began to
kiss, lightly at first, and then with all their hearts. Each never
wanting to let the other one go. Their two bodies moved closer and
their breathing rapidly increased, TK began to unbutton Kari's shirt.
The two became one, sharing in the beautiful, exhilarating act of
deadly passion...
The two lovers continued this same routine for over a week. They would
meet, ride TK's crotch rocket to their special place, talk for hours,
and then make sweet love. Taichi had given up his position as leader
of the Kamiya gang to Davis. TK forsook the Ishida gang; Cody took his
place at Matt's side. For that special week, the two gangs seemed to
live in harmony. Not a single member of either gang was killed that
week. Members of the smaller gangs trembled in fear, praying the two
would not join each other. For if the two enemy gangs united; the
smaller gangs would be hunted down and destroyed one by one. Heaven
was shining above, blessing all with true hearts that longed for its
light, peace and hope. Yet Hell still stood strong, and its fires
raged with all the hidden hatred on Earth, and prepared to wage war on
heaven.
One day TK had even taken Kari to meet some of the members of his
former gang, his friends and his brother. They had made a deal that
Kari would do this and TK would meet with her brother, who seemed to
be refreshed from the new life he had found. TK had asked why she
wouldn't let him meet the other members of the Kamiya gang. He wanted
to completely shatter the barrier that separated the two gangs. She
told him of her previous affair with Daisuke, and how black Ken's
heart was, and that meeting them would do more harm than good.
"It was really nice to meet you, Hikari," Matt said as the two lovers
prepared to leave. Everything had gone incredibly well, all of the
gang members loved Hikari, especially Matt.
"I'll see you guys later," replied TK.
"Bye everyone," added Kari.
"I don't have anything else to do tonight, so do you mind if I walk
with you guys a little ways?" asked Cody.
"We'll walk you all the way home, if you want Cody," Kari suggested
and looked at TK, who nodded in agreement.
"Thanks, the company would be great. See you guys tomorrow," Cody
waved goodbye to Matt and the other gang members and the three friends
left the building. They talked about little things and the walk was
short, the run down apartment building where Cody lived was only a few
blocks away.
TK and Kari stopped at the buildings entrance and said their goodbyes
to Cody. "I'll see tomorrow, Cody," TK said.
Kari added, "It was nice to meet you, you're a very sweet young man."
Cody blushed. TK nudged him, "Better stay away from my gal," he
laughed.
"See you guys later," Cody bowed and entered the entrance to the
apartment building. TK and Kari turned around and began walking away
from the building. TK stared at the ground, thinking about how great
things had become since he left the gang. He only hoped that things
would remain like this for a very long time. Kari was looking at the
ground as well.
Out of the corner of his eye, TK noticed something scribbled in red on
the building they were facing. He looked up to read it, and gasped in
horror. "Death to all Ishidas," was written on the entire face of the
building. TK turned around and began to run toward Cody's apartment
building.
"Cody! Get out of there!" he screamed as loud as he could. Kari sat
staring at the defiled building, not believing what it said. But as TK
rushed toward Cody's home, the ground shook and enormous flames shot
out every window in the building. TK's ears were deafened by the
loudness of the blast. The shock wave of the explosions fired TK the
opposite direction he was running and threw him to the ground. He lay
dazed for a moment, trying to understand what had just happened. As he
watched the building burn and collapse to the ground, he knew that he
would never see one of his best friends ever again. Kari's screams
filled the dead, night air, and echoed deep into the night.
Author's Note: Well, that was the second chapter, how'd you like it?
I'm never going to be able to get these characters back to the way
they should be. For you girls, was Matt sexy enough for you? I think
that I made him seem like a real jerk, and he sure has a sour tongue,
doesn't he? Was Daisuke suave or what? And how about the changes in
Tai and TK, major u-turn or what? Let me know what you think, whether
you liked it or hated it. As always, every review is greatly
appreciated.
