Chapter 13: Doctor, Doctor

"Melody, I think we should answer the door because I don't think the person at the door is going to go away." Anthony suggested. Melody groaned in annoyance, she removed herself from Anthony's warm embrace. She quickly threw on Anthony's t-shirt that was discarded on the floor. His 'It's Good to be Bad' shirt came up to her tights. It's a good thing that something interrupted them because if they didn't stop they would do something they'll both regret in the future.

"I'll be there in a sec." She called out as she walked towards the door and slowly opened it. Her eyes widen in surprise. She never expected to lay her eyes upon him again. He stood there with his ear piercings and in a black t-shirt saying 'Sk8er Boy' and some gray Dickies with white sneakers. In his left hand he held a bouquet of white lilies. Her favorite, she couldn't believe he still remembered. Another thing that caught her eye he still wore the black wrist bracelets she bought him the first three weeks they started to date each other. "Kouichi?" she said. "What are you doing here?"

"Well nice to see you too." He replied as he ran his free hand through his long raven locks.

"I mean hi." She said looking into his deep crystal blue eyes. She quickly closed the door to her hotel room.

"These are for you." He handed the white lilies to her.

"Thank you." She thanked him. "But what are you doing here?" she asked again.

"Always straight to the point huh?" he laughed a little. How she missed his laugh. She thought to herself.

"Well, you know me well Kouichi." She returned.

"I wanted to see you." He said simply.

"What? And you think you just can walk back into my life like this." She stated. "You walked away from me Kouichi. When I told you I love you." She started to cry.

"That's it Melody, I came to you to tell you. No, I want to tell you that I love you too. But when you said that to me two months ago. I didn't know what to say or do, Melody. You scared me, I was scared because no one said that to me expect my family." Kouichi explained. He wiped away her tears. "Please don't cry."

"Kouichi, why now?" she asked. " You can't do this to me, not now." Then all of the sudden his lips were against her soft lips. It was sweet and tender kiss. At that moment, she remembered the many moments Kouichi and her had irreplaceable memories together.

"I want to be with you, to save all your tears." He said and pointed to his heart. "I'll save all your tears here." He always had ways with words. She thought. "I love you Melody Sunshine Tachiwaka." He proclaimed. Now she wished this happen two months ago because she would've wanted to share her first kiss with him. But her first kiss belonged to Anthony Om. She felt so confused and uncertain about things now.

Anthony, on the other hand was wondering what happened to Melody, so he put back on his sweats, walked to the door and opened it. "Hey Mel, what's taking you…" Anthony asked. He saw her in another boy's arms. Melody looked at Kouichi then Anthony.

"Tunes let me explain." She pleaded. Anthony looked at Kouichi with venom.

"She's mine…understands!" Anthony removed her from Kouichi grasped into his embrace. Melody looked at Anthony in shock. Kouichi looked at the two them. He came out in his sweats, she came out in a t-shirt. They were only half dressed. Kouichi thought to himself. He closed his beautiful crystal blue eyes and clenched his fist to his sides.

"I should've known, when you wouldn't let me kiss you or touch you when we were going out with each other. Lies, and lies. All lies!" He informed. "And you called me a jerk from running away from you. You LIAR!"

"Hey Kouichi! Did you find Melody's hotel room?" a boy looked like him came around the corner dressed in his oh so famous 'Rebellious' gray shirt; he had on black Dickies, gray Pumas and a gray Banda cover his long raven mane. His bangs cover one of his dreamy deep blue eyes; on the left eyebrow had a bar. He had it pierce. He was holding a girl's hand. She was beautiful with bright golden blonde locks as if it was sun kissed by the gods' it-self and sparkling blue eyes. She was dressed in lavender shirt 'Innocence' was printed on it, the shirt hugged her every curve showing off her figure, and a lavender platted schoolgirl skirt with shin high black boots that laced up in lavender shoe laces. Melody quickly distanced herself from Anthony embrace as she saw them coming. Melody looked at her old friends Kouji and Izumi as they came behind Kouichi.

"Kouichi?" Izumi called out but then she saw her friend. "Melody, sweetie!" Izumi ran to her and gave her a big hug. "How I miss you." Izumi told her.

"I miss you too." Melody replied. Anthony watched Melody converse with these other kids. Who are they? And Melody use to go out with this Kouichi guy… he thought to himself.

"Kouichi?" Kouji called out to his twin and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. Kouichi glared at Anthony then Melody and ran away. "Kouichi!" Kouji shouted after is brother. He watched his sibling disappeared around the corner. Izumi turned around and looked at Kouji with a confused look.

"Hey we just saw your twin run the other way." A boy said, he walked toward them; he had dark brown eyes, wearing a black and red Empire hat turn side ward and his spiky chestnut brown hair in his face. He was dressed in a red 'Empire' shirt, black Empire pants and a pair of boots. "He looked very piss."

"Yeah, I know Takuya." Kouji replied in monotone then looked at Melody. Melody stiffens at Kouji icy glare.

"Junpei and Tomoki went after him." Takuya told them. "Oh hey Melody, how is miss sexy?" He teased. "I'm joking Kouichi would kill me, any ways nice to see…" Takuya looked at the boy behind her. Then he quickly understood why Kouichi ran away.

She stirred in her sleep and slowly opened her eyes. Everything was too bright for her liking. Why was everything white and bright? She thought to herself. She moved a little, but as she notice she couldn't move her left hand. She looked down and saw some one hand covering hers. Then she recognized that blonde hair anywhere 'Matt'. She thought herself. Why was Matt with her? Where was she?

"Oh, I see your awake Ms. Tachiwaka." A young man distracts her thoughts. She looked at the young man. "I'm Dr. Shin, and Yamato wouldn't leave your side. He refused. And it was driving my nurses crazy." Jyou laughed.

"What am I doing in a hospital bed and for the point why am I in a hospital?" she asked.

"You don't remember how you got here?" Jyou questioned Ms. Tachiwaka. "You got hit by a car. And Yamato here saved you." Jyou pointed at the man at her side. Mimi looked at Matt sincerely. He looks like an angel as he sleep she thought to herself then shook her head. "Ms. Tachiwaka we are going to keep you here for a couple more days for you to heal properly." Jyou instructed.

"Ok." Mimi replied.

"I'll leave you to rest, but if you need anything just buzz us in and we will come." Jyou said before leaving her room. Mimi looked upon her savior, her knight and shining armor, her guardian angel as he slept peacefully. It showed that Matt really cared for her.

"Thank you Yamato." She said softly.

"Please don't leave me alone…" Yamato cried in his sleep. What is he dreaming about? Mimi thought to herself. He stirred in his sleep. "I don't want lose you again Mimi." He spoke. Mimi looked at Matt in shock. He was dreaming about her. "I love you…" Instant he woke up, tears in his eyes. "Mimi?"

"Matt…" she answered back.

"I'm not dreaming right? You're really awake?" he asked himself and her. "Or is heaven?" She giggled at him. You can be so silly Matt. She said to herself.

"What do you think?" Mimi asked.

"I don't know…" he replied still in a state of shock.

"Kouichi-kun, please think this over." One of his friends advised him. "You shouldn't accept this race. This car was a present from your Uncle Saitou." Kouichi looked at his friend who was sitting in the passenger side. He was a little on the chubby side, he was dressed in dirty jeans, a black Independent shirt and black Dockers. He wore black beanie on his head covering his golden brown hair matching his dark chocolate brown eyes.

"Yeah Kouichi-san, you don't know Mt. Akina pass that well, you don't want to ruin your present?" A young boy warned him from the back sits. Kouichi looked at his rearview mirror and saw the young boy jaded green eyes told him that he worried. He was dressed in a pair of blue jeans painter style pants, a green 'Sk8er' hat on his head, a green shirt that had monkeys dancing printed on it, and pair of Vans shoes.

"I know this is a stock Silva-eighty. Don't do this." His friend on the passenger side pleaded him.

"I'm racing." Kouichi said plain and simple. "When we reach the starting pointing, I want you guys to wait there till I come back for you." His two friends looked at each other. None of them could stop him once he made up his mind. After twenty minutes of driving the trio finally reach their destination. His friends got out of the car, stood at the sideline and looked at Kouichi once more. Kouichi drove up to the starting line. He was up against an Acura loaded. A young girl stood in the middle of the two cars and she began the count down.

"Five…four…three…two…one…Go!" she shouted. The cars left the starting line neck and neck. The two cars entered the first turn in full-throttle.

"Wow!" the boy with green hat said.

"I know what you mean Tomoki." The other boy next to him replied.

"Junpei, I hope Kouichi is safe." Tomoki told him.

"I know, me too little man." Junpei answered back.

"Melody, what's wrong?" Izumi questioned looked at her friend in worry ness. Melody snapped out her thoughts.

"Huh?" she replied.

"You been out of it for the pass twenty minutes. You haven't said anything since Kouichi stormed out on you." Izumi explained. Yeah, we had been standing out in the hallway for that long staring at each other. Izumi thought to herself. This is getting on my nerves. "What's going on here?" Izumi finally spoke up again. "You know why Kouichi stormed out like that?" she pointed her question to her best friend. Anthony wanted to answer that for her because Melody was with him and not that Kouichi guy. He thought to himself.

"Anthony!" A voice called for her, Takuya, Izumi and Kouji and turned around to face a girl running up to him. She had light brown hair and amazing dark green eyes. She's cute. They thought. She was dressed in cut up jeans, a white tank top, and white sneakers.

"What's up Juri?" Anthony asked her.

"You know how Kazu gets hot headed sometimes and does say stuff before thinking." She told him.

"Uh huh." He said.

"Well, he challenge this new guy with a silver Silva-eighty to a race on Mt. Akina." Juri explained. Melody eyes widen, that was the pinging feeling she was feeling. Stupid Kouichi, why? She thought to herself.

"Kouichi…" Kouji spoke softly. Melody looked at Kouji, they looked at each other. Melody quickly got into her room not even bothering closing the door.

"Mel," Anthony quizzically questioned. "What are you…" She began to tug on the shirt off. Everybody eyes were bugging out as she careless about her nakedness in front of the others. She quickly grabbed her bra that was on the floor and put it on. She pulled on her hair and tied it up into a tight ponytail. She rampage through her suitcase grabbed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She quickly put it on, ran out of the room and down the hall. Anthony and the rest quickly ran after her. "Mel," he called out for her, she was waiting impatiently at the elevator. He grasped her wrist, Melody tug to set her wrist free from his grip. She looked at him.

"Please let me go." She told him.

"Your going to him aren't you." Anthony pointed out.

"Not now." Melody said looking down to the carpet. Anthony let her go and watch her run to the staircase.

"Their bond still runs deep." Takuya said to himself. Juri and Anthony looked at him with a confused look. What does this weirdo mean? Anthony thought to himself.

"It means that Melody and Kouichi share a bond, it hard describe in a way. It like we know something is wrong or something. Just like me and Kouji or Kouji and Kouichi. We all share a bond some how." Izumi tried to explain it better. "She feels that Kouichi is in danger or is going to do something. I should've known when I notice her zoned out like that earlier. She ran outside and waved for taxis, but she was getting intolerant. She saw a super bike and jumped on it.

"Hey!" shouted the owner.

"I'll return it!" Melody yelled back and zipped away. She hope she make it there in time.

Just a half an hour ago Tai had fumed out of their room. She sat there on the bed; her face was full of tears. Her marriage was going to end. And what was even worse she found out she was pregnant again. How was she going to take care of the baby and her son if they did divisor? What was she going to do? Tai doesn't believe her.

"Mama," Ein came in interrupting her sobbing tears. "Why did daddy leave?" When Ein asked her that question it just made her cry even more. "Mama,"

"I'm sorry Ein, me and daddy aren't just seeing eye right now." She explained.

"Oh, but everything will be ok later? Right Mama?" Ein asked hopefully.

"I don't know sweetie." She said sobbing softly.

"You'll see everything will be ok because daddy and I love you." He said climbing up onto the bed and hugged his mother in his small hands. She looked at him. He looked like so much like Tai. It was breaking her heart even more.

"I love you too Ein." She told her son. She looked at the clock next to her and saw it read 5:30. It was time to get dinner ready. "Hey Ein let's get dinner ready. So it ready for daddy to eat when he gets home."

"Yeah!" he said happily. They both got off the bed and walked in hand-hand. They when downstairs and entered the kitchen. Ein watched his mom start cooking while he colored in the coloring book on the table. He hummed happily. A nice half an hour pass the food was almost done. Ein was helping his mother cleaning up the table and setting it up. Sora sat in the kitchen table chair looking at the food. She sighed tiredly. Then all of the sudden there was a thud. Ein ran back to kitchen to find his mother on the floor with her eyes closed. "Mama! Wake up!" He started to cry. Then he remembered what his mama and daddy taught him if something ever goes wrong pick up the phone, dial up 9-1-1. Ein quickly ran to the corner table, picked up the black phone and dial.

"Mama's hurt." He said into the phone.

"Ok, where are you?" the operator asked.

"At home." He replied.

"Ok, just stay on the phone and we'll be there soon." Operator said soothingly.

"Hurry my mama…" he started to cry. Within five minutes the ambulance was at Kamiya's resident. They quickly put Sora in the Ambulance while a young lady carried crying Ein in her arms.

"You're mother will be ok kid." The lady said to him. Ein sniffled.

Kouichi switched gears again. He was in front, but the Acura was on his tail. There was a left turn coming up. He switched gears again entering the turn and began to drift. He was executing the turns perfectly. The Acura couldn't find a way to pass him up yet.

"Damn him." Kazu cursed. "There's only one place were we can settle this battle."

Kouichi remembered this place very well. His brother, Uncle Saitou and him would always drive through this pass when they were young just to see the beautiful scenery. From afar he saw a car coming in the distance. He entered another turn.

"Looks like they racing…" the driver told his passenger looking at the on coming cars heading their way.

"Oh cool I wanna see!" she squeaked. 'ZOOM' the Silva-eighty pass by them. Then the Acura pass the car.

"Wow…" the driver said excitedly.

"Oh my god…" the girl said.

Let me get there in time. Melody thought herself. She zoomed through and finally reached the starting line. She saw her other friends Tomoki and Junpei. She stopped the super bike in front of them. It startled them. "Did the race already started?" she asked them. The two just nodded. "Damn it!" She started up her bike again and zoomed through the first turn like a professional. After twenty minutes five cars rolled up and parked.

"Tomoki, where is Kouichi and Melody." Kouji asked. Tomoki pointed the direction. "Shit, we just missed her." They could hear the screeches through out the Mt. Akina pass. "Get into the car!" Kouji commanded them. Junpei got into Takuya's car and Tomoki got into Kouji's car.

"We're at the point who wins or loses in this race." Kazu said to himself.

He switches gears and drove next to him. Kouichi looked at his opponent. They were neck and neck but that's when Kazu made his mistake. He under-steer into the turn making him skidded in a 180 degree. Kouichi continued to drive away. Kazu bang his fists against his steering wheel. 'ZOOM' He saw a girl on a super bike speeding away. Melody he thought.

Kazu parked his car on the side and looked outward to the wonderful sunset scenery. Takato and the rest finally came were Kazu was watching the sunset. "I lose because I under-steer in the turn." He told them.

"Where's Melody?" Anthony asked. Anthony instructed Ryo to go that direction and everyone followed. There was a striking pain in his heart. He had a feeling something was going to happen and it was bad.

"So that was her on that super bike." He said. "She when that way."

Kouichi stood next to a big and beautiful cherry blossom that was next to cliff. Waves crashed into the cliff wall. It was a magnificent sight. He looked into the sky with a deep longing.

"Kouichi!" Melody shouted running towards him.

"I knew you would've come." Kouichi said softly. He remembered telling her about the only cherry blossom in Mt. Akina. And how he was going to visit it one day with her in his arms. She remembered after all. "I love you Melody…" he stepped back closer to the edge. Her eyes widen in fear and he fell.

"No! Kouichi!" she cried jumping after him. And that's when the rest came, and saw what was happening.

"Melody, No!" Anthony shouted out of the window. He got out of the car and ran to the cliff. He was about to jump, but someone stopped him. It was Kouji. "Why!" They all stood there in the edge looking down.

"You'll die." Kouji stated.

"And you think they won't?" Anthony argued back.

"Boys please! Fighting will not get us anywhere." Juri interrupted them as they look like they were ready to rumble. "This is about Kouichi and Melody."

"There's a legend here." Rika said.

"Yeah, I heard about the legend too." Izumi piped in.

"Lost lover rekindle or something like that." Juri informed.

Kouichi was surprised that Melody jumped after him. She wrapped her arm around his body and waited for the impact. She nuzzled deeper his embrace.

"Yeah, it when something like this the two lovers were forbidden to see each other. She belonged to another, but she was in so love with the noble knight who protected her day and night. So the young lad propose they should met at Mt. Akina's Cherry blossom at midnight because he heard from word of mouth that if you jump in with your love one. You'll be with them forever." Rika told them as they watch the two fall rapidly together in each other arms.

"Wow, Rika I think you were into sappy romance stories." Ryo teased.

"Why you!" Rika said about to pound him in his face, but Lee once again comes to the rescue and stops her.

"Do you think they make it out?" Tomoki asked Kouji who looked concerned.

"I don't know…" Kouji said. Izumi came to him and wrapped her arms around her comforting him. She softly kissed his jawbone.

"They'll be fine." She said.

"I hope so." He looked into her eyes. "I love you."

Mimi jolted up from the hospital bed. "Everything ok Mimi?" Matt asked her in concern.

"Matt, I have a feeling that our daughter is in danger." Mimi said worriedly.

"What do you mean?" Matt asked. Three hours ago, Mimi woke up from her unconsciousness and they talked through out their problems. But there was still some untold stuff. Mimi hasn't told Matt that she still love him yet. They were ok.

"It's a feeling Matt, " she said.

"Where's my wife and my son!" a familiar voice shouted in the hallway hospital. That's Tai. Matt thought to himself. What happen to Sora? What's wrong?

"Mimi, I'll be right back." He told her. She nodded her head. But still couldn't get that bad feeling to go away. Matt walked out of Mimi's room and saw a hysterical Tai shouting at the nurse. "What's going on Tai?" Tai looked at his best friend with sadness.

"It's all my fault Matt. Sora and I got into an argument. It's a long story. I don't want to talk about it. But when I got back home, I got a note on the door saying my wife and son at the hospital." Tai explained. "If anything happens to them…I don't know what I will do." Tai started to get teary.

"Daddy!" Ein came running up to him.

"Ein!" Tai scooped his son in his arms. His son hugged him tightly.

"Ein, where are you?" Jyou came after him and saw him in someone arms standing next to Yamato.

"Jyou?" Matt asked him.

"Well the boy was hungry and he kind of ran away from me." Jyou said sheeply.

"This is the boy's father Tai Kamiya." Matt introduced them.

"Ah, Tai, I'm Dr. Shin. I'm the one that treated your wife." He told him.

"What's with my wife?" he asked in concern.

"She fainted due to stress. Good think your son called 911 or she could've lost the baby."

"The baby…" he said softly.

Author's notes: I'm sorry it took me a while to get this post up. In the previous I said I had almost finish this chapter… yeah I did had it almost finish, but I wasn't happy with the turn out. So I decided until I found the one I like and it happens to be the seven times rewriting this chapter. I'm sorry for the long wait, but I hope you happy with this chapter. After watching a couple esp. of season four and watching Initial D (good racing anime) I got inspired once more.

Chapter 1: The News

He sat there motionless on the bleachers staring at the vague nothingness. He was still dressed in his basketball uniform. His beautiful sea blue eyes were all puff and red, his nose was red from sniffling and his sunny blonde hair was a mess. A couple hours ago he got the news, and he couldn't believe it. Tonight was supposed to be his night to shine, but it never accrued to him this turn out of event. He remembered around half time break in the locker room his coach called him to the office.

"Takeru, I think you need to sit." His coach instructed him. His coach had a serious look and closed the door. Takeru took a seat.

"Coach if it about not passing to Daisuke, I'm sorry sir. He's such a hot headed." Takeru apologized.

"No, it's not about that." Coach said, "It's about your brother Yamato Ishida and his girlfriend Mimi Tachiwaka."

"What?" Takeru asked agitated.

"Calm down Takeru, I just got news they got into an accident an hour ago." Coach informed him. "But they didn't survive the crash."

"What do you mean they didn't survive?" Takeru started to have trouble speaking.

"They died…" His coach said sadly.

"No, that can't be! I was just talking to Mimi, she was happy and they told me they were heading to my game." Takeru said in denial. He couldn't believe the two people he cared about beside his parents were gone just like that. He lost two more important in his life. First he lost his mother by giving birth to him, and now his older brother and his brother girlfriend. Was God punishing him? It was true then he is the demon child because he loses everyone that he cares about. Is his father going to be next? Why should he care? His father never cared about him after he lost his wife.

"I'm sorry Takeru. I know how hard it is to lose someone important to you." The coach tried to comfort him.

"You know nothing!" Takeru shouted tears running down his face now. It's been a long time since he cried. The last time was when his dad wouldn't let him go with his brother to camp when he was seven. And he promise himself he wasn't going to cry anymore. He was going to be strong and not cry.

"You could stay here, you don't have to play the game for the rest of the night." His coach told him. Takeru just nodded his head. The coach left him to be alone for a while.
