Demonic Shadow
Episode 2
By Little Leila
Kisu snuck into the Motomiya apartment, through the open window, carefully not to disturb the sleep of the neighbours. Jun was already waiting for him. She did it sometimes, because she was curious and worried at the same time. But today she had another reason, to wait for him.
"Hey, how was your trip." She asked in a low voice.
He turned around to her and his golden eyes were almost glowing in the darkness. Kisu knew she would try and wait for him, he gave her a brotherly, warm smile and sat down on the bed. Chibimon was snorring on a pillow. He knew about Kisu and liked him as much as Jun did. She knew also everything about Daisuke´s little partner and she found the little Digimon more than adorable. She could cuddle the blue bundle the whole day, if she hadn´t other things to do. Since Jun found out about Kisu, Daisuke thought it would be only fair to tell her everything.
"Successful and without any complications or encounters." He answered her almost whispering.
"Good to hear, brother."
*Aha, there we go again. She calls you brother and why does she call me brat?*
The question bothered Kisu too, sometimes.
"I still don´t get why you call me: 'brother' and your real brother: 'brat'." Kisu repeated Daisuke´s question and chuckled.
"I dunno. Maybe because, I don´t see in you my baby-brother. More an ...older brother. Anyways, I have a request Kisu." She pleaded.
"Hmmm. As long as you don´t say: *Go out shopping with me in the broad daylight.* I´ll do anything, if it´s within my power. You know, I hate the daylight." He reminded her.
"No, of course not. It´s something else."
"Then what is it?" He asked.
"Well, my friend, Momoko told me that she´s been attacked yesterday."
"And? I think rape isn´t quite my field." He jocked.
"No. Listen! She said she´s been attacked by a strange creature and she described it. For me it sounds like the creature which attacked me when we first met."
".... A Goblin?"
*Again? Didn´t you say, they normally don´t attack humans?* Daisucke asked.
Kisu nodded only. For Daisuke, to agree with him and for Jun for acknowledging her request.
//Flashback//
Daisuke waited near the soccer field, in his oversized soccer outfit, for Jun. She promised, to pick him up after practice. The odd thing was, that she was late. It wasn´t like her, to be late.
"Strange. I wonder where Jun is." Daisuke wondered out loud.
*I don´t like this.* Kisu said.
Daisuke frowned at Kisu´s comment. Over the last two years, he´d learned to speak with his friend, in his mind, since he´d noticed it looked really weird, to talk to an invesible person. A 'mind-conversations' was much easier.
~What do you mean? Is Junni in trouble?~ Daisuke asked worriedly.
*Could be. Something is in the air. I can feel it! We should look for her!*
Daisuke didn´t bother with a reply, he ran home as fast as he could, without using Kisu´s power. He used it sometimes, when he was injured or had a fight in school. And sometimes he cheated in a soccer game, but only with Kisu´s permission. He ran through several alleys, stretching his way home in the hope, to find his sister soon. Suddenly there was a scream of fear near Daisuke. It came out of another alley round the corner. He knew to whom the voice belonged.
"JUNNI !" Daisuke shouted.
He rounded the corner and was surprised to see a creature instead of a human, which trapped his sister in a blind alley. She pressed herself against the wall fearing the creature, although it was smaller than herself. It looked ugly and terrifying. With the long ears, the small black eyes and the long, sharp teeth, it looked more like a hunchbacked rat on two legs without any fur. What Daisuke concerns the most, was the fact, that this thing had an little axe and it threatened his sister with it.
He didn´t thought further, he stopped thinking and reacted out of instinct, right now. Daisuke had to protect his sister from the monster, cost what it may.
The redhead knew how to use Kisu´s power right. It was easier than he thought, at the beginning of their simbiotic relationship. He just had to take it and it was Kisu´s decision, to deny or to offer him this power.
Daisuke made a mad dash towards the monster, before it could harm Jun with his axe.
*Careful Daisuke, it´s a Goblin!* Kisu warned.
Kisu felt helpless, he couldn´t help him in the moment. Jun would discover their secret. And what then? She could get captured by other demons. They would hurt her, to hurt him. He couldn´t risk Jun´s life. No way!
Daisuke took a hold of the beast´s left arm and spun it round to him. Unfortunately it was very fast, despite the deformed body. With the axe in the right, claw-like hand, it hit the young Digidestined in the left arm, causing a deep gash in the forearm. Daisuke backhanded it with the right as hard as he could, using Kisu´s strength for the blow. The beast stumbled to the right but it stood as if it wasn´t affected at all. It blinked surprised at Daisuke´s strength and attacked him again, with a furious growl.
"DAI-CHAN!" Jun yelled in fear.
The redhead backed away, to get the Goblin far away from Jun, for a save distance. Then if he could round the corner, he could finish it off by himself or let Kisu take control. The creature was stupid enough to follow him, but it noticed, in time, what Daisuke had planned.
It realised, it was too far away from the former prey. Nevertheless, the Goblin wanted the blood of the young virgin and he´ll get what he want.
It took a quick glance at Daisuke and then back to Jun, deciding what to do next.
*He has an ace up his sleeve.* Kisu noticed it, because of the strange movements of the Goblin.
It swung back the axe and aimed at Jun, ready to throw it any minute. Daisuke dashed forward to protect his sister with his body. With his life!
Since they´re connected with each other, it was no wonder that Kisu thought the same. He wanted to protect her. She was like the sister, he never had in his own life and he´d do everything to save her. Really 'everything'.
The axe flew towards Jun and she shutted her eyes, hoping it would miss her. Both, Daisuke and Kisu, thought the same. Both agreed! And within seconds they switched their positions.
Jun heard how the axe hit something, but it didn´t sound like the usual metal-against-stone-sound. It was more like metal which sliced ....flesh. For a brief second, she thought, she´d been hit and didn´t feel the pain because of her fear. Then Jun Motomiya dared to open her eyes and what she saw shocked her even more. In front of her stood a tall boy, with his back towards her. The small axe of the Goblin stucked in the right forearm, which he´d raised to protect his face. She noticed, he wore the same soccer outfit like her brother. Also with the same writing on the back: '10 Motomiya'. Could it be? But the outfit was tight on him and on her brother, it was oversized. Then his height and the long, nightblack hair?
He took the axe out of his arm, hissing at the pain. His wound was bleeding badly, but he didn´t care. The mysterious boy threw the sharp weapon away and started to walk towards the, now intimidated, Goblin. The creature started to back away, knowing the boy wasn´t the same like before. Knowing it had a dangerous and more powerful opponent. However the boy was faster. He moved with an incredible speed, too fast for Jun´s eyes to make out exact movements. In a few seconds he´s lifted her attacker in the air, with no effort, and smashed him, with the head first, against the nearest wall. The wall crumpled slightly and the boy with the long black hair let the dead Goblin out of his grip.
Then he turned to Jun, his golden eyes glowing in the sunset. She was still afraid, but calmed down when she saw no threatening intentions, but worry in his unusual colored eyes. She took a closer look, but he still had the same soccer outfit. She couldn´t believe her eyes.
"Dai-chan???" She whispered.
"...... Well. ...Yes and ...no." The boy repiled.
"Wha... who are you, then? Why,..... why do you have his tricot?" She stammered.
"Look Junni, it would be the best if you forget the whole thing." Kisu suggested.
He was utter confused when she smiled in response. A real, genuine smile.
"I knew it! You are my Dai-chan! ....He is the only one who calls me: 'Junni'." She said happily.
*Nice try, but I don´t get this. By now she has to freak out. Is she still under shock?* Daisuke whispered.
~Why don´t you ask her yourself?~ Kisu replied annoyed.
Suddenly the tall boy started to shrink. His hair changed into the spikey brown-reddish style back and got shorter. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again, the gold was replace by a chocolate brown color. Jun looked in awe at the transformation of her brother. He was again, the same Daisuke Motomiya like before. Her little Dai-chan. He turned around to look for the dead Goblin, but the body was gone.
~Hey where did he go?~ Daisuke thought in panic.
*Don´t worry. When a Goblin dies he turns into dust after a few minutes. You can see it, if you look on the ground.*
He looked back to Jun, seeing her amazed face, Daisuke decided to tell her the truth at home.
There was a long silence between them, both unsure of what to say. The silence made Daisuke uncomfortable, he was going to rub his neck and when he´d raised his hand, Jun gasped and ran towards him.
"Oh my God! Dai... your arm!" Jun said worriedly.
"Huh???"
Daisuke wasn´t sure what she was talking about until he looked at his forearms. Both were still bleeding and now that he noticed it, they hurted too. It wasn´t a real problem for the redhead though, because one of Kisu´s abilities were the healing power.
"Oh that! It´s not so worse Junni really. Look!"
He concentrated at the healing power first, searching within his body for the right waves of energy. When he found it he caught a hold of them. Then he concentrated of his wounds, leading the waves of the warm, healing power directly to it. The gashes closed slowly and without leaving of any scars.
Jun couldn´t believe her eyes. She looked down at her, now smaller brother. She had so many questions, but it´s getting dark and they had to be home soon. So she left it for now.
"C´mon Dai-chan. We have to go."
"Hey, what´s with the usual: 'brat'? That´s what you call me normally." He asked teasingly.
Jun shrugged only.
"I guess, ...I owe you."
~~~
//Flashback end//
"Tell me Jun! Why did you believe the story? You had no reason to believe me or Daisuke." Kisu asked her.
"Only if you answer my following question, too." She grinned sheepishly.
He had nothing to hide, so he nodded to her without a second thought.
"Ok. First, it was the only, believable explanation, why you had the tricot. Second it explained also Dai´s strength. And third.... Mom told me about the incident in the museum. I didn´t believe her, though. But then I saw you and I started to believe." She told him.
Kisu narrowed his eyes. He had never known, that Mrs Motomiya felt him, when his soul searched for a host.
"... So.... she felt my presence?! She felt the parasite, which crept into her body to hide in her child?!. Kisu muttered bitterly.
"Oh no ... please Kisu. Please don´t make yourself down."
Jun sat next to Kisu, holding him in a tight embrace to comfort him. She said soothing words to him. How glad she was, that he´d been born. That she could be dead already, if it wasn´t for him. How he could save more humans, when he killed other demons.
Kisu realised how right she was. How could he make up for his sins, if he wasn´t reborn? He patted Jun´s hand to let her know, that he felt better. She let go of him and look him straight in the eyes.
".... What do you want to ask?" He changed the subjekt.
Jun blinked at first, not knowing what he meant. But then she remembered her question.
"Oh. ...Yes. Uhm.... How do you make it?" She asked bluntly.
Kisu blushed slightly, at her question. He was glad for the dark room, so she couldn´t notice it.
"What do you mean?...Exactly." He asked uncomfortable.
"I mean, how do you get a dream? The people didn´t run into your open arms, on their free will, did they?" Jun said sarcastically.
Kisu sighed in relief. Then smirked amused at her.
"Actually,... yes! They do." He replied still smirking.
Jun was confused. Was he really serious? She made only a joke.
".... Explain!" She demanded softly.
"You´re right! They come to me on their free will. After I seduced them, of course."
"You seduce them? Both?... I mean, male and female???" She asked stunned.
"I don´t see the difference. A dream is a dream. And to your question of: 'How' I do it. I kiss them,... almost, ok sometimes I do. That´s also the reason for my name. I seduce them, until they want to kiss me on their free will. I´m not going to force anybody, ... these times are over. Besides it´s more fun this way." He explained.
"What happened with the people after you stole it?" Jun wanted to know more.
"Without the energy and hope, their former dreams turn into nightmares. This will last for one or two weeks or until they find a new dream. A human with an evil character is able to find a new dream quickly, but someone with a good character has problems to do that. The people are shattered, they´ve lost their only dream."
"So that´s why you keep looking for criminals and violent people. I thought always you hunt them, because you didn´t want to harm an innocent. Now I see there ´re other reasons, too." Jun concluded.
"Yes. Evil humans are easier to get. .... And their dreams tastes better." Kisu joked.
"Oh you. ...I better go to sleep before Mom or Dad wakes up. Don´t you need any sleep too?"
"No. We switch the place and Daisuke will be energetic and hyper like always. With the dream-energy, he is able to stay awake for three nights and days." He reassured her.
Jun stood up to leave the room, when she remembered something.
"Kisu?"
"Yes Jun?"
"Please, could you look out for the creature, which attacked Momoko? I´m afraid it could harm another of my friends." She whispered.
In his opinion, the chance, that the attacker was another Goblin, was very rare. But he couldn´t deny her request. He sighed in defeat.
"How could I say no? The whisper of a beautiful woman, is louder than the mightiest call of duty." He shrugged.
Jun giggled slightly. She rarely heared such words from a boy.
"Thanks brother. I owe you again. Sometimes I wish Dai-chan was more like you." She smiled before she left.
*What. Was. That?* Daisuke asked confused
"Unlike you, I tried to be polite." Kisu muttered.
*Yeah, whatever. Tomorrow is Saturday, but I still have to go to the digital world. We can look for that thing, when we return. Ok?* Daisuke suggested.
Kisu agreed silently, then the first rays of sunlight shone through the window and a new day started for Daisuke Motomiya.
~~~
"Daisuke, you´re late again!" Miyako yelled.
Daisuke wasn´t really late, only five or ten minutes. Why was Miyako so mad today?
"Yeah, what took you so long anyways?" Takeru asked.
"Uhm ... stuck in the traffic." He joked.
Hikari stepped in front of Miyako trying to soothe her nerves.
"Miyako, please calm down. He is here and now we should get going."
Iorie was quiet as usual. In his oppinion, this fight about, Daisuke being late, was totally nonsense. Daisuke was always late. So it was utter nonsense to start a fight, for once more.
Miyako calmed down, it was odd. Only Hikari had the power to calm her down and nobody else. For the boys this seemed to be a Girly-thing. But for Miyako, it was much more.
"Ok, ok. Let´s go and knock down some control spires. I´m in the mood for it, right now." Miyako said.
She stood in front of the monitor, in the computer-lab of school, and opened the Digiport. Minutes later they stood on a high hill, searching the area for several spires.
~~~
"Master? The Digidestined arrived in the Digiworld." A little green Digimon said.
"I can see that by myself, you useless insect." The Kaizer snarled, sitting in his throne.
The Digimon Kaizer looked on several monitors in his throne room. There were five monitors, each with a frozen picture of one of the Chosen. He took his remote control pointing on the monitor with Iorie´s face.
"Useless insect!" He mocked before he turned the monitor off.
Then the monitor with Miyako.
"Dirty whore!" He said with a disgusted expression and turned it off
The monitor with TK.
"Arrogant Bastard!" And turned it off.
The one with Hikari.
"The thorn in my side." He gritted his teeth in anger.
And finally the last monitor. Suddenly the Kaizer´s expression softened and changed into one, full of emotional pain.
"Forbidden desire of my heart." He sighed.
He didn´t turn it off. Instead he took of his googles, admiring the picture for many minutes.
~ I´ll be beaten, but I don´t cry. ... ~
The Kaizer put his googles back into place and stood up from his throne.
~I´ll be kicked, but I don´t scream. .... ~
It was quiet in the hallways and only the heavy steps of the Emperor could be heard, when he made his way through the base.
~I´ll be cut, but I don´t bleed. ...~
Ken went outdoors and called an ringed Airdramon.
~I´ll be hated, but I don´t suffer....~
The young tyrant climbed onto Airdramon's back and the strong Digimon took off the from ground.
~But the love in my heart... kills me....~
~~~
The Digidestined split up, each team with two chosen. But since they´re only five, one remained. And it was always Daisuke! Did the others assume, he didn´t need any help, if he was in trouble? Didn´t they care? Of course it hurted him, to be treatened this way. On the other hand, he wasn´t totally alone. He had Veemon and Kisu with him. And the moments alone, gave him the opportunity to 'train'.
Daisuke discovered, that the control spires could act as camera´s too. So if he and Flamedramon knocked it off, the Kaizer couldn´t watch him train. As a leader, he tried to tell this his teammates, but they shrugged it off as a stupid idea and impossible thought.
He trained his powers as often as he could. It was difficult to train in the real world, a human could see him train in the daylight, and then? Then he would be in much trouble. For Kisu it was easier to hide. He didn´t need to attend in school, on the soccer field or at party´s. He was only needed in the night or when an enemy was around.
*Daisuke? Why didn´t say your idea, with splitting up the team into groups, before TK did? You´re the leader, aren´t you?*
"I know, I know. But would they listen to me? I don´t think so. Since they noticed, I am me and not Taichi, they don´t take me seriously." He muttered annoyed.
Flamedramon knocked down the second control spire for the day. Not much for the three hours, which they´ve spent in the Digital world already. For Daisuke personally it doesn´t matter. The others thought he was an lazy ass anyway, so why bother to proove the opposite?
Flamedramon came back and turned back into Veemon. The redhead let his partner rest in the shadows of a tree. He thought, the blue dragon-like Digimon deserved it.
"Hey, aren´t you coming, Daisuke? Veemon shouted to his partner.
"No buddy, you should rest."
Daisuke needed Veemon if they´d get attacked by the Kaizer. Of course he could use his powers, but it wouldn´t be enough and Kisu couldn´t help him. That meant to switch places, while the Kaizer was watching, personally or in his base.
~I wonder what Jun´s friend saw. You say, it can´t be a Goblin, but what if it is?~ Daisuke suspected.
*That would be 'very' odd. The one I killed was a bloodthirsty specimen. In thousand years, there is maybe one of them. The rest avoids the human race, as good as they can.*
A loud explosion interrupted the conversation.
*..... Greetings from the Kaizer.* Kisu sneered.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let´s go Veemon!"
~~~
TK and Hikari were in much trouble. The Kaizer had attacked them from behind. The two Digimons fought as good as they could, but the ringed Airdramon under the Kaizer´s control was much stronger.
Suddenly Miyako and Iorie appeared. The last was Daisuke with Raidramon. Now the Digidestined were complete, but still had to fight the Emperor.
Halsmon tried it with the Tempestwind, but missed the Airdramon. Digmon hadn´t much luck either. The Digimon of TK and Hikari were too weak to continue. Both Digidestined stood with their partners. Instead of concentrating on the battle, the Kaizer focused his attention on Takeru and Hikari.
Daisuke noticed it in time. He jumped down from Raidramon´s back and ran towards the two Digidestined. In his mind there was only one reason, why he did it. Because of Hikari. The Digimon Kaizer started another attack and Airdramon went down into a nosedive, to attack the Holder of Light. Without thinking, Daisuke threw himself in front of Hikari to protect her.
Airdramon changed the course before it could harm them, attacking Halsmon and Digmon instead.
*Strange! He had the opportunity to kill the leader of the Digidestined and the Holders of Light and Hope with one strike.* Kisu noticed.
~Yes, but we can figure it out later. In the moment, we have a battle to win.~
Raidramon hit the ringed Digimon with a Blue Thunder on the lower part of the lean body. The indigo-haired tyrant noticed the state of the enslaved Airdramon. If he´d keep up fighting, he would loose. It ´d be better to return. The would be Ruler could bear, loosing a few spires. He would create new spires in those areas, on another day.
"We´ll meet again, Digidestined." The Kaizer shouted shortly to the group.
Then, the huge Airdramon brought his Master back to the base. Miyako and Iorie let him go, in the moment, other things were more important. Miyako rushed to Hikari´s side, pushing Daisuke out of her way. Takeru´s face showed a relieved expression when he made sure nobody was injured. Especially Iorie. Of course they had to take care of him, because he was the youngest, but not so much like TK did.
Daisuke thought he desevered a little reward for his intervention.
"Hey Hikari, since I saved your life, don´t I deserve something?" He asked hopefully.
"Oh, of course!.... Thank you, Daisuke." Hikari smiled innocent.
*Still in love with her???*
"I thought more of a peck on the cheek, but a thanks is also ok."
~Yes! Madly in love.~ He answered Kisu´s question.
"Modest as usual, aren´t we?!" Miyako noticed with a frown.
Suddenly, Daisuke felt how his mood dropped. That was only the case, if Kisu became incredible sad or depressive. But what in the world, could upset him so much?
~Kisu? What´s wrong?~
*Nothing. Pay attention on what the others talk about, it could be important.*
Daisuke didn´t notice, that the Digidestined were already talking again and he spaced out on the discussion.
For Miyako, it was a bit odd. Normally Daisuke responded her insults or sarcastic remarks with a fierce answer, but now? He seemed to take it serious. However she didn´t bother any further, because Takeru suggested to go home and rest. It´s gotten really late.
~~~
Back in the base, the Digmon Kaizer paced up and down in his throne room, in pure rage. They did it again! And he wasn´t able, to kill the most annoying of them. The Holder of Light! The girl, who held a heart in her hand, which he desired the most. He backed down! And why? Because he didn´t thought his secret love could jump between them, to save her unworthy life. And when he did, Ken hadn´t a choice, but instead of admitting it, he blamed the Airdramon for the defeat.
Wormmon watched him with terrified eyes. If the Kaizer was in rage, it was better to stay out of his way.
"Why? Why do all my servants loose against those impertinant bugs? What did I do wrong?" He yelled in fury.
Wormmon didn´t dare, answering him. The only reward he´d get was a punch or a kick. The Kaizer continued with pacing until both he and Wormmon heard a dark voice in the throne room.
"Awww. Looks like the almighty Digimon Kaizer has problems, in crushing a few 'Digi'-ants." The voice said mockingly.
The voice sounded far away, yet it could be heard only in the throne room. It sounded deep, evil and devious. Almost like the Kaizer´s, only deeper and somehow .... older. Like the owner, of the voice, had seen more centuries, than earth could count.
The Kaizer had his hand already on his whip, ready to beat the missing respect into the mysterious owner.
"You dare to repeat that?" The Kaizer threatened.
"Yes. But in another way." The voice teased.
"Show yourself!" The Kaizer demanded harshly.
"Let me put it like this: I´ll help you, when you are going to help me!"
"I don´t make a deal with a coward, who isn´t brave enough to face me!"
Suddenly a figure stepped out of the shadows. A tall, pale man with long white hair, silver eyes and a strange, dark coat reaching almost the ground. The coat was black with strange zigzag cut on the end, like somebody teared it to shreds, but on the other hand it was designed in that way, showing no sleeves at all.
The Kaizer showed no fear. He was curious now, indeed.
"I give you three seconds, either to leave my base or to tell me, what you want. Choose!"
"I told you what I want. I help you, if you help me." The stranger repeated.
"And with what? Showing you the way out?" He sneered.
"May I introduce myself, first? My name is: Dedalos. I´m here because, I´d hoped to find an ally in you."
The Kaizer lowered his whip. And went to his throne, when he made himself comfortable. He waved with the hand in a gesture for the man to continue.
"I see you have problems with the so-called Digidestined. I could help you."
"And what do you want in return, exactly? My help? With what?" The Kaizer was impatient.
"My Master gave me a mission, which I can´t accomplish on my own."
"And how am I supposed to help you?" The young tyrant sounded almost bored.
".... You have nothing else to do, than to find me a certain person in the real world. I admitt, I sent my spy´s out, but ....they´re incapable of finding them." He sighed.
"And what do I gain out of it?"
"More help from the dark side and I don´t mean Digimons."
The Kaizer thought about the possibilities and what this 'Dedalos' guy meant with: *help from the dark side*. But what he had to loose? He could get rid of him in a matter of seconds. The would be Ruler had enough enslaved Digimons under his control.
"If I agree, then who is this person, I shall find?"
Dedalos snickered.
"Find me a young man, known as ......Kisu!"
~~~
Daisuke wandered, in the night, through the streets of Odaiba. He told his parents, he would go out for a walk, but they only nodded, not bothering with the questions: where or why. The redhead knew his family loved him, nevertheless his parents ignored him most of the time.
He searched for the thing, that attacked one of Jun´s friends not long ago. Even two hours later his search remained unsuccessful.
*Why don´t you use the power? It would be much easier to find it!*
~You´re right, but somehow,.... I want to do this on my own. Without your help. Without the power.~
Sure. The power was a way out of the situation. However he didn´t want to rely on it. Daisuke was afraid, to become something evil. What did they say? Power corrupts? On the other hand, he couldn´t imagine that the people meant the kind of power he had. But, is there really a difference?
Whenever he used it, his body became supernatural. His strength, senses and feelings increased to a higher level. Much higher than any human being, yet not strong enough for every demon. Kisu claimed, his power would increase, if he trains it enough and with the years he could also learn new abilities. The question was: Did he really wanted it?
Kisu was really annoyed by now.
*Sometimes you´re really bullheaded. You have a wonderful gift and you don´t use it?! Dai! There are humans in the world, who would kill, to get only a bit of the power you have. And you decide to toss it away, instead of using it? Do you even realise, what you can really do with your power?*
Daisuke remained silent. No, he hadn´t thought of the bright side of it. Only of the consequences. He decided to see it from the bright side, even if it wasn´t much. So he used it. He felt into his soul, sensing the hidden energy within himself and freed it from the invisible chains of his conscious. If Kisu wouldn´t permit it, he would have felt a blockade. All of sudden, his hearing and his sense of smell, became more sensitive and his eyes adjusted more to the darkness. Things became clearer and he could see everything, even in the darkest corners of the streets.
He heared something. Something he didn´t hear before with his human hearing. Steps, but far away. Whoever it was, the person quickened the pace and was running by now. Then there was a second sound. Somebody followed the first person. But it was different, the sound was in short intervals. Either the second person ran very fast or it was a really short person.
"Bingo! I have him!" Daisuke mumbled.
Without asking Kisu for his oppinion, the redhead ran with an incredible speed to the source of the sound. Only a few minutes later he saw a young girl with dark hair, who crossed the street, followed by Goblin.
"Damn, Jun was right. It is a Goblin." He whispered.
*Then let me out* Kisu demanded.
~What? ....Why? I can finish him off. My power is high enough for a Goblin.~
*No. I have enough faith in you, that´s not the reason. I have questions and he will answer me. If it´s necessary, I´ll force him to answer me*
~They can talk?~
A scream interrupted the small talk.
*Daisuke!* Kisu yelled seriously.
He gave him the permission and luckily for Kisu, Daisuke wore oversized clothes. Long, black baggy pants and a red sweater. After the transformation, the clothes suited Kisu just fine. He ran a hand through his night-black hair and ran to catch up with the Goblin and his victim.
In the next moment Kisu grabbed the Goblin, from behind, on the arms. The girl turned around in time to see her saviour, then she stopped running, much to Kisu´s disadvantage. He acted like he couldn´t hold the struggling dwarf with the little axe.
"RUN, I CAN`T HOLD HIM ANY LONGER." He lied.
The girl nodded her thanks and ran down the street. Kisu smirked, even if he was imprisoned in stone, he hadn´t forgotten anything of his acting talent. He black-haired demon looked down at the struggling Goblin. His golden eyes caught a glimpse of a red, shining jewel. He grabbed it quickly and crushed it, with his demonic strength, to pieces. Then he lifted the Goblin, on the collar, and pinned him on the next wall. To be face to face with the creature.
The Goblin tried to defend himself with his axe. Showing no mercy, Kisu grabbed the axe and chopped the Goblin´s hand off. Strangely enough, the wound didn´t bleed. The Goblin whimpered in pain, but didn´t scream. Before the hand could touch the ground, it turned to dust and the wind blew it away. The Creature made an attempt to kick his captor and regretted it, when the demon tightened his grip. Kisu´s golden eyes narrowed to slits, when he spoke to the Goblin in a dark and threatening voice. Like in the old days of the Dark Ages.
"Ok, hump-rat! Who sent you?"
The Goblin shook his head in denial. Kisu raised an eyebrow and without a warning, he chopped also his other hand off.
"Are you going to answer me or shall I continue this torture?" He hissed.
*Kisu? What are you doing?*
~Please Daisuke, don´t interfere!~
The Goblin tried now to speak, but Kisu heard only his whining. Realising he wouldn´t get any answers from the creature, Kisu decided to put an end to the Goblin´s misery. Kisu dropped the hunchbacked creature and beheaded it with one strike of the axe. The Goblin turned to dust and his axe vanished in Kisu´s hand.
Daisuke couldn´t believe it. He´d never seen his friend like this. So cold and cruel. So ....mercyless.
*Kisu ..... why?* He asked in shock.
~Sorry Daisuke. I had to do it. He was a spy! Did you saw it? The Ruby?~
*Yes. What does it mean?*
~His Master could watch us through the Ruby. Like the control spires.~ Kisu explained.
*But why didn´t you let him talk?*
"He couldn´t even if he wanted to. His Master made sure he wouldn´t talk to anyone by cutting off his tongue! I had to kill him because, he was a spy and saw me. You.... you have to get used to it." He mumbled.
*Yes, I know. And .... I´ll try........ C´mon let´s go home and tell Junni, that you´ve kept your promise.*
Kisu turned around, not noticing he´d been watched, by somebody in the near apartment block. The person, a male teenager, stood by the open door, too far away to hear a word, yet close enough to see everything. He went back into the apartment and when the door slowly closed, the name-plate, of the family, swung with the movement. And on the plate, was a very familiar name.
Hida.
