Digimon Fan Fiction ❯ DigiCraft ❯ Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Legend put her hand against the side of one of the little huts.
"It feels cold enough." She said, running the tips of her fingers along the veins of the eye that seemed to be staring deadly at her.
Audramon's stomach heaved as she saw Legend poke the eyeball in the black part of the iris. She felt the contents of her stomach travel up her esophagus, and burn her throat from the acid in her stomach. Legend drove her fingernail into the black part of the eye and Audramon gave away.
White and green vomit spilled from the digimon's mouth, as she fell to the ground, sick to her stomach. Kath gave Audramon a disgusted look, as white and green lines of spittle dribbled from her mouth and onto the Creep.
White and green vomit spilled from the digimon's mouth, as she fell to the ground, sick to her stomach.
What was grosser…the Creep seemed to like it. It started making sucking noises, and absorbed the vomit into its essence. When Kath saw this, she tried to resist from vomiting. She felt a tight ball in her throat, but she fought it down. In a blink of an eye, the digimon's vomit had vanished, and the area of the creep that absorbed it, as well as a couple of adjacent patches, seemed to be a more vibrant purple.
"…That was disgusting," Legend said, putting her hand over her mouth. "Did the Creep just EAT her throw-up?!" Audramon's stomach started to heave again, but she had already emptied its contents onto the Creep. She felt light headed now…and her throat burned in the stomach acid that remained in it.
Kath looked over at Audramon. She looked very pale. Then again, anyone who just threw up tends to look pale. She pitied her, but there wasn't much she could do. Audramon closed her eyes and tried to separate her mind from her body. Things like that were supposed to calm the mind and the body, but it didn't seem to be helping.
Legend made a face of disgust when she noticed the huge popping veins that appeared in the ground of the Creep that absorbed Audramon's vomit. The veins were jet black, and they looked bad on the vibrant purple. Very bad.
Kath's scientific side began to surface, at the wrong time, which was basically just typical.
"Audramon…did you eat anything that was sugary?" She asked the pale digimon. Audramon didn't reply for a moment, as she caught her breath.
"Well…" She said, after a moment, "I did have some chocolate bars… and some icecream…and some candy…"
"So obviously most of your diet that was uh…vomited consisted of sugar didn't it?" Kath asked in her `way too logical' voice. Audramon groaned.
"I don't know. And I don't really care. I don't feel like answering your stupid questions," She muttered, resting her head on her paws. Kath snapped her fingers.
"I don't know. And I don't really care. I don't feel like answering your stupid questions."
"Ah! I think I understand now," She said, rather proud of herself.
"Understand what?" Asked Legend.
"Well…you see, remember how I said that the Creep that was black tasted like sugar? Well, I think that when it absorbs the maggots that should be there because it attracts flies, it absorbs their body sugar usually. See, I think that it will get a lot of the sugar from things it kills, like plants. That's why, cuz most animals don't excrete sugar, because their bodies can use it for themselves," Kath said logically.
Legend blinked.
"So…its gotta be something that excretes sugar. Cuz most animals don't excrete sugar." Kath suddenly noticed that she was probably the only one who knew what excrete meant. "Most animals don't shit sugar." She added. Legend blushed slightly at the mentioning of the vulgar word.
"Um…ok," She said.
"So I think that the aliens don't excrete sugar. Actually, I think that this carpet of sugar is really a chattel and sustenance for something else. Something that does feed on sugar! Ok, I think I get it now," Kath said, sounding WAY too logical, yet again.
"Ok, well I hate to be rude but I don't really care what you're saying sorry," Legend said, "Mainly because I don't understand because you're talking like freaking Spock, all freaking logical." Kath looked slightly disappointed, but tried to hide it.
"Oh…sorry. I just think that the Creep is feeding the aliens."
"Ooooooh. Then why didn't you say that?" Legend asked.
"I did-" Kath was interrupted by Audramon.
"I begin to wonder, where is Foxermon?" Audramon asked. Legend glanced around.
"Uh…I don't know," She said, scratching her head. Kath peered at Legend.
"He didn't tell you he was going anywhere?" She asked her.
"Uh…no….yes…" Legend said, shrugging. "Something about looking in the huts or whatever." Kath leaned back and putting her hands on her hips.
"Well now we're getting somewhere."
