"It might work," Takuya said.

"Of course it will work." Taichi said with a know-it-all-expression twitching his finger back and forth, "now let's go get Kouji!"

"Are you sure it's wise to split up?" Gabumon asked.

"I know how you feel," Takuya responded, "but if we're going to find Kouji it's a good idea. Now let's not forget to contact each other when one of us finds Kouji! Now let's move out!"

"Hey! That's my line!" The first brunette teased.

Memories. Too many memories; and the burning in Yamato's chest was making him wince. Gabumon looked up at his partner, he looked a little out of and sick.

"Yama, are ... okay?"

"Yea. I'm just sort of tired. That's all."

"A Digimon named Kendogarurumon said that it's because you are having all most the same effect as Kouji since you have the same power ...."

"I know. He came to a vision too."

"Was that the reason why you passed out?"

Yamato shook his head. "I felt really weak and dizzy, but I'm okay. You don't need to worry about me."

Oh, Yama, I wish you didn't have to lie all the time, Gabumon thought looking up at the blonde seeing slight pain in his eyes.

Dainamon slowly opened her eyes, her face calm. They where here. Time to wake Yamato's hidden power. But why not have a little fun with the goggled-boy's first; to keep them busy so she can have enough time to wake their hidden powers .... but first she needed to separate the blonde from the rookie Digimon. She could just snap her fingers and have the blonde right before her, but what fun would that be?

Getting to her feet, Dainamon walked out a smirk slowly twisting on her face...

"I don't think it was good idea that we split up, Taichi." Agumon said.

"What? Are you saying that my plan is not going to work?"

"No," said the dinosure replied having no eye contact with his partner, "I just think we should've all suck together."

"I know. But It would be easier if we sepirated so we can cover more ground."

"Yea. But still, it's a bad idea ... and what about Gabumon and Yamato? He's still weak and I don't think he's strong enough to help Gabumon to digi-vole."

Taichi made no comment on that. He had to have faith in his crush that he can and Agumon kept quite knowing that he pushed a button. He knew better than make Taichi mad. That's what pushed the dinosaur to his limit, of so many battles and so many enemies's that pushed Taichi's rage to its heights, same went for Yamato. It actually made Agumon feel special that he could go beyond ultimate to mega-ultimate. It made feel that he can do anything.

"Yama, you should rest," Gabumon said for the umpteen time seeing that his partner was looking worse and worse by every waking moment.

"No. We have to keep looking. I know that Kouji is close --- he's in a lot of pain ---"

"Yama ... please!" Gabumon pleated with fear in his eyes and face.

The blonde loner finally stopped looking over his shoulder and down at his faithful Digimon partner; his painful expression changed to softness.

"All right, we'll take a break. Only for a little bit. Okay?"

"Come on, Gabumon. We've rested long enough."

"How about I go scout ahead to see if there's anything why you still rest."

"But --"

"No butt's. Now you stay here why I go look ahead."

With that Gabumon got to his feet and ran off into the dark tunnel making Yamato feel vulnerable to anything could come out of the shadows. He drew his knee's together feeling slightly scared wishing that Gabumon would come back or his Taichi was with him. Yes. His Taichi. He loved him with all his heart. At first he thought it was just some silly crush and tired very hard not to show any feelings for the first brunette that's reason why they fought in the first place, just so he could touch him.

Yamato turned his head when something caught his eye, turning his head his eyes widen with fear as he slowly got to his feet pressing himself harder to the wall .... why was he so scared all of a sudden but he knew that he couldn't put up much of a fight since he was really weak and his chest felt like it was burning.

"Oh my," Dainamon said coming out of the shadows seeing the blonde trembling, "look", she mocked trying not to chuckle, "the poor doggy is scared. Don't worry I won't send you to the dog house."

"Shut up!" The blonde tried to yell.

"Mighty strong words," she said stepping closer to the shaking loner who was pressing his back as hard as he can, "who can't defend them self ..."

Dainamon was having to much fun watching the blonde tremble ... it won't be long now before she had his power and takes over the Digital-world. To Yamato, it was like there was no end to the horror ... just no end and the only thing he could of was Taichi ...

"Tai!! Taichi, help me!!"

"Tai!!"

The first brunette stopped his eyes wide. Did he just hear Yamato's voice?

"Tai, are you all right?"

"It's Yama! He's in trouble!"

They both turned and ran down the hallway .....

"Oh, you think that your little goggled-head is going to save you?"

"I'm coming, Yama!"

They both turned their heads to see Gabumon running up and stopped dead looking very tens with great hate in his eyes.

"Put Yama down!"

"And what if I don't? What's a rookie digimon like you going to do about it, hmm?"

"Run!"

"What?! And leave you to this monster ---"

"Excuse meee?" Dainamon hissed slowly turning her head toward the rookie Digimon with great anger in her eyes.

"You heard him! Now run Gabumon!"

"No! I can't! I promised Kendogarurumon that I won't let that monster get you hidden power!"

"I'm not going to tell you again!! Now get!"

Gabumon flinched then turned and ran with all the speed he could then stopped when a mean of light came up behind him. He turned to see a ball of energy coming toward him; he closed his eyes ready for the impact but nothing happen, he opened his eyes to see that it was Wargreymon who took hold of it and threw it up into the ceiling. It went threw the rough and exploded giving off a weird light. Dainamon clenched her fist snarling to see that Taichi was all so right there beside his Digimon with hate twisted in his expression.

"Why you rotten rug rat!"

"Is that the best you can do," Wargreymon asked in a mocking tone, "because if it is. You're doing no better than the dark Masters!"

Dainamon snarled again then her expression changed to an evil smirk, she held out one finger toward Taichi .... She's going to kill him! Wargreymon pushed his partner down and great pain went through his body and was powered back down to Koromon.

"You are truly a fool," she said the smirk still on her face as she watched Gabumon ketch the in-training Digimon in his arms and Taichi rising to his hands and knees looking at her with great anger, "you still don't understand what you are up against!"

"Yea? Well, I'll die before I give up!" The first brunette said getting to his feet.

"Really," Dainamon said with straight face then went back to an evil smirk, "then tell me something goggle-head ... what does this doggy mean to you?"

"Take that back!! Yamato is not a dog!!"

"Of course he is. And I'm his new master ---"

"You slut! If you touch Yamato I'll --"

"Taichi, don't!" The blonde panicked, "just run!"

"No! I can't!"

"Don't be an idiot! Just run!"

"I'm not leaving when the one person I love is danger!"

"Ahrah," Dainamon hissed with disgust then brought her hand down, "NOW DIE!"

Yamato tried to move as part of the ceiling started to fall, now he wished that he wanted Taichi to come to his aid and he didn't get to say that he loved him back as she drug him away the dust rushing against his back. He would've tried to struggle but what was the point? What was the point of anything, Dainamon might as well take him now since he had no reason to living ... Taichi was probably dead.
